Lore, Animal (Grassland)
Rank: "E" (5 TP at all times)
Skill: Skill
Effect: This skill enables a character to observe the actions or habitat of an animal and interpret what is going on as well as identifying said animal.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Actions can show how dangerous the creature is, whether it is hungry, protecting its young, or defending a nearby den. Furthermore, careful observation of signs and behaviors can even indicate the location of a water hole, animal herds, predators, or impending danger, such as a forest fire. A successful check means the character understands the basic actions of the creature, as well as the type of creature it is. A character may also imitate the calls and cries of animals that he is reasonably familiar with, based on the knowledge (user must learn per Region). This ability is limited by volume. A successful check means that only Chakra means can distinguish the character's call from that of a true animal. The cry is sufficient to fool animals, perhaps frightening them away or luring them closer. When learning the user must choose per Region and they may only have knowledge of Animals creatures. Each Skill level allows the user knowledge of each Animal category (Example: Novice can identify Common Animals, Master can identify Nearly Impossible Animals) within a region. Each time learned user gets 5 die roll to increase the skill.
Limit: ---

Riza Morris, clad in her orange R&D garb, tread quietly across the grassland of Oto no Kuni, the Sound Country. Animals in the wild would avoid foreign presence such as humans. That included herself, as despite her herbal knowledge she was a stranger to the grassland beasts. That would have to be rectified.
Scanning the horizon for any movement, she caught sight of a distant shape. She slid her goggles down into position and activated the zoom function to more closely examine the target - which turned out to be a brawn rabbit bounding toward a raised tuft of greenery, likely a juvenile flower. She observed with intense focus as the tiny beast nibbled at the tuft, only to be startled by a loud 'yip' sound. It was in that instant, that fraction of a second where it leapt away would become frozen in time and in ink - the young looking li utilized her clan skills to rapidly paint the animal on the scroll she broduced literally in the blink of an eye.
Her hunt for further subjects of study would be punctuated by a hunt of a different kind - the hunt for rare herbs. it was still still summer ye, so wintermourn was not an optoin. However there should be the likes of the saddilia tree about. maybe. it was incredibly rare, almost mythical, but samples existed in the hospital. she knew she would recognize the plant if she encountered it. she proceeded, guided by instinct or else by whim, where she might find a productive use of her time. Every once in a while she used her goggles to scan the distance, but largely focused nearer to her own path. Even if she didnt find the rare plant there was likely to be more subjects to paint.
Herb hunt roll, saddilia. nearly impossible - 1% find rate.
