Freeman smiled as he looked over the bridge. he loved the site of the ocean. it reminded him of home for some reason. he smiled and checked his bag for supplies and found he still had all his packs of smokes and his paint set and scroll. he smiled as he lit a cig from his opened pack and sighed as he took a drag from it. " today will be fun. i can just tell."

The smoke of the lit cigarette was carried away by the ocean breeze as the wayward man pushed on. While he may have been on the look for some sort of adventure, nothing would stand out before him. How not fun; perhaps he should continue further in-land to see if he'll be lucky enough to stumble upon some grand adventure.

Freeman smiled and began to walk toward the town. he watched as carts and others went by him. his green scarf blowing in the gentle breeze as he made his way to the nearby tavern nestled between a ramen stand and a book store. As he passed by an apple stall he waited till no one was looking and as if by accident knocked an apple down and kicked it off his shoe high into the air. as he walked it fell and landed in his hand and he smiled before taking a bit of it. he loved taking what wasnt his when he could.

The village was robust and all the faces within the market area appeared friendly. However, the wandering Oto-ninja seemed to be the lone trouble-maker as he took off with an apple. The merchant man saw him and frowned deeply, quite upset that someone would steal from him. Nothing happened to Freeman--but by the Nine, did that merchant man wish it did! He shook a fist towards his way and ended his angered salute with a middle finger gesture. But before Freeman could get a chance to glance back, the man quickly returned to work.

Freeman laughed as he ate the apple. the crisp chrunch sounded nice as he walked, taking paused from eating to take a drag of his smoke. he smiled and laughed gently before tossing the now barren apple core to the ground. He looked around trying to find something, anything to do.

Apparently the only fun Freeman could muster up and find was that of stealing a poor merchant man's product and consuming it; for nothing--yes, nothing, befell he who should be awarded for his actions.

Freeman growled. This town was boring him very quickly. He looked around and noticed a guard standing there and he smiled before taking the burned up cig and flicking the butt right at the guards face. He knew hed pay for it but he wanted some drama. Right as the burning butt would hit the mans face, if it did, he would hop up onto a rough and laugh happily. “Come on piggy! Cant catch me im the gingerbread man!” he laughed more and took off into the street next to the one he had been in. Taking a moment he then ran off Hoping the guard would come after him.

How evil of Freeman: first, to steal, then to try and attempt an attack!.. Although the butt of the cigarette had been blown harmlessly away by the wind, the guard just stared at the running fool blankly.

"How odd... he called himself the 'gingerbread man,' Tsuin," one guard said to the other. They did nothing but remain at their posts. A bird came swooping in and grabbed the trash particle and dropped it inside a trash bin.

He growled more when he realized no one was coming to fight him. He kicked a trash can over and sighed. “Should have known a island wouldn’t be fun. God damn it all.” He kicked the can again and kept walking. He needed something to do. He then smiled as he saw the tavern and entered. He looked around at all the cheerful and drunk faces and he smiled before making his way to the counter and throwing down some money. “Give me a bottle of whiskey.” He smiled and looked around hoping someone would start something with the man.

"Here ya go, youngin'," the old barkeep said as he passed him the brown liquor. "Just be careful.. that there fireball sure is potent." He grimaced at the thought of the cinnamon taste of the stuff as he turned back around to his usual patrons. Everyone seemed happy and not interested in Freeman.

Nothing.. nothing... nothing.

He growled more and took a deep swig of the liquid after he took the top off. Some of the liquid dripping down his chin. He sighed and put the bottle down hard enough to make a CLUNK sound. He sighed and looked around before seeing a rag nearby and he had an idea before taking the rag and laughing. “would be so easy to make a fire bomb right now….” He smiled and just put the rag down. “Old man! Whats there to do in this god forsaken island? Im going out of mind here.”

The bartender would be tapping his finger and looking across the bar. He would look back at this traveler and say something along the lines of, "Oh there is plenty to do here. If you wait a while there is about to be the nightly poker gamer..."

Across the bar at the other end would be a women. A firy read leather dress that was cut off in a short skirt style was sitting there. She would be eyeing Freeman as she continued her drink as well. By this time Freeman would notice his drink was a bit colder than the last time he sipped....

Freeman looked around and saw the woman, he smiled gently as their eyes met. But something felt…odd. The whiskey bottle felt colder. He put it down casually and took a cig from his pack and lit it. Pulling on it to get it lit. as he finished he let out a cloud of smoke before standing up and taking the rag he had just found he wrapped it around the bottle so he could old it without his hand going numb from the cold. He smiled and with a nod to the lady in the dress. He walked over to the radio set and turned it on before taking another puff of his cig, slowly letting the smoke out so that it was in the room. A smooth Jazz came from the radio and he smiled before making his way to the bartender. In a voice only he and the bartender could hear he asked him about the woman. “Whos she? The one in the red leather?”

The Lady in red would start to sing a melody along with the jazz tune. It had an interesting lyric as the feeling of regret could possibly be heard through the context of the words. The women would be singing it in a beautiful voice, one that would be hard not to miss...The bartender would say nothing as he would listen...

As Freeman would listen he would find himself utterly Fascinated by her voice. What this means is Freeman would not be able to act what so ever. He would found out rather quickly that his mind was so focused on her voice that his body will not be able to act. Though whose to say what will come next, the man was at her mercy. Though what he didn't know is once their eyes met a trickery was added to this fascination. Fortunately for Freeman, he was strong enough to resist it...

Thus there wouldn't be much for the arsonist to do. If he wanted to burn this place to the ground, he would not be able to currently. He would simply have to listen to this women's voice. He would move closer and closer to him. Nothing threatening, more alluring than anything as she continued to sing. She would get closer and closer to him till Freeman's and the Lady in Red's nose where about to touch and then she would speak with the same fascinating voice, "Your going to do something for me..." She would say with a grin... "Your going to go to the Land of Thunder capitol and murder the Feudal lords assistant." Though this was a request that could be refused. There wasn't anything she was doing to force Freeman's will, thus he could respond if he wished. "He can be found at the Kumo Admin Department. A small man who is arrogant and owes me money, his name is Enrai..."

Freeman stopped as the singing began, his hed turning to see the temptress as she came toward him, something in his heart told him to stay. And he did. The song was so…beautiful. He smiled gently as she came close enough to kiss. His hand gently holding her waist as she spoke. Murder a man? That was something he could do. He smiled gently before laughing. “What do I get out of this Siren?” he smiled and grabbed her hand gently, but firm enough to show he was serious about what he was about to say. “I don’t take to kindly to those who try to set me up, I want to know what I have to gain from this, Besides my head on a plate.” He smiled and took a swig of the whiskey before laughing and offering her some. The offer was very tempting though, but he couldn’t tell if it was a good idea or just her natural beauty working on him. “Ever Hear of a Parting Glass?”

The Lady in Red would give a half smile as she continued to hum to herself. The fascination would continue though the man would think he had touched her, but she could see the drool come down his lips as he had no ability to move, just listen and respond should she make a request. Thus she would contemplate the notion of a reward should Freeman complete this dirty work.

"I suppose I have a rare herb I could offer, or perhaps some sort of monetary reward, of course there is the more intimate favor I could offer as compensation. Though you will get nothing should you fail and nothing until you....finish..." The Lady in Red would say as she would then continue her humming. She would then reach over the bar for two shot glasses and take the whiskey bottle from Freeman. She would pour two drinks and hold them both up. Since Freeman couldn't move she would tink the glasses together, "Bottoms up..." She would take her shot and pour the other into Freeman's drooling mouth...

Freeman nodded to himself, thinking it over as, to what he saw he took the glass in his hand and drank happily. "Fine. ill do it." he smiled to himself happy.

When the deed is done, come back and see me. I require proof of his death. Only his head will do... Just like that the Lady in Red would disappear from sight. There would be no sound, no sign, no evidence that she had even been there. She would be gone and Freeman would be left there staring into empty space...the bartender would say after rubbing his eyes "What Lady?" it was as if he didn't even know what went on....

Freeman looked around. confused. "I think... god my head hurts." I need to get to Cloud, theres a man i need to kill." he looked at the partender and smiled. "See you later." he headed off to find the best way to get to cloud.

Freeman smiled as he boarded the boat he laughed to himself thinking of the new adventure he was on. He smiled and grabbed his pack of smoked before lightning a new one. he laughed again and took a drag as he heard a singing again on the boat as it shoved off. he looked toward the sound and saw a woman dancing and singing a very familier tune. It was the story of a young ship maiden who slept with the devil, disguised as the ships captain, and for her trouble her and her whole ship went under during a storm. He joined in as she began to sing again, havign the smoke cling to him for dramatic effect.

"The ship, it swayed, heave ho, heave ho,
On the dark and stormy blue,
And I held tight to the Captain's might
As he pulled up his trews.
"You haven't slept," heave ho, he said,
"In many suns and moons."
"Oh, I will sleep when we reach shore,"
"And pray we get there soon."
He said, "Now hush love, here's your gown."
"There's the bed, lantern's down."
But I don't want to go to sleep; in all my dreams, I drown."

he traced her arm as he stood behind her holding her. his raspy voice playing the part of the devil well. he smiled and began to sing the next part of the song.

"The Captain howled "Heave ho, heave ho"
And tied me up with sheets
"A storm is brewing in the South"
"It's time to go to sleep"
His berth, it rocks, heave ho, heave ho
The ocean gnashed and moaned
Like Jona will be swallowed whole
And spat back teeth and bones
He said, "Now hush love, here's your gown."
"There's the bed, lantern's down."
"But I don't want to go to sleep; in all my dreams, I drown."

she twirled in his hand and leaned back dancign to the musical beat of the intruments. the smoke growing as freeman took another drag and added even more dramatic flare.

"Captain! Captain!
I will do your chores
I will warm your cot at night
And mop your cabin floors
Scold me, hold me
I'll be yours to keep
The only thing I beg of you
Don't make me go to sleep"

She kissed him gently, as the Maiden had the devil. his hands grasping her wrists hard, but not to hard. he lifted them above her head and let go as she jumped back into a dance pose.

"The sky it flashed, heave ho, heave ho,
His pillow toed to the brink.
The curtains ran between my legs as we began to sink.
I closed my eyes, heave ho, heave ho,
As the ship was rent and fell.
Eddies in the water headed to the mouth of Hell
"Hush now, hush love, here's your gown."
"There's the bed, lantern's down."
"I'm begging you please wake me up
In all my dreams I...."


he smiled gently as he let her bend backward, holding her hand as she symbolised the Maidens death. as after all the applause, Freeman smiled and she winked at him, before leading him to her room on the boat.
