Description: Just outside the walls of Konoha a small village resides. Although it was seemingly destroyed and abandoned as a result of the war, this is merely an identity it assumes so that it may operate under its own law at its own time. By looks alone, the village is for the most part abandoned and unused, with severe signs of wear evident all over. However, beneath the tranquil surface lies a secret, recently discovered by a few lone ANBU - illegal underground fighting matches have been taking place underneath the village, in small arena literally dug under the very ground. It has become notorious for challenging brave, strong souls to duke it out as close to the death as possible, with the fights taking place between shinobi and villager alike. The Daimyo's youngest son has taken a strong interest in the matches, having been spotted several times gambled on outcomes thus far. However, knowing his son, the Daimyo knows it won't be long before the brash youth takes to fighting himself.
How to complete: Follow the young man and make sure he doesn't compete. If he gets in trouble, bail him out. Either way, compete yourself and try to gain information on the ring leader; the Daimyo wants them wiped out for good!

In a secluded part of Konohagakure the hotel, the Shinto no Tama Hoteru, resides at the foot of a large range of mountains. Once known to be a very religious place it is now famous for catering to the upper society whom want privacy while they vacation. It boasts a gorgeous scenery surrounding six white three story mansions, a large and spacious pool, and some of the finest room service and attendance in the world.

Wealthy businessmen, movie stars, musicians, gangsters, and even royalty are the hotels frequent client base so security was once prominent with routine patrols with armed and trained guards and security dogs though this took away from the natural beauty of the grounds so the hotel now uses the service of ANBU whom hide themselves so as not to disturb the guests. It was up to Minoru to make discreet contact with one of these ANBU though it was not going to be easy. Not all of the ANBU were made yet aware of his presence and if he nwere to step out of line he was going to be faced with an armed force of the Leaf Village's best shinobi who may just kill on sight.

Description: A failed check indicates that the character is oblivious until the thing is pointed out to him. This skill is important for ferreting out advancing enemies or ambushes, generally real-time events and actions occurring, versus scrutiny, which covers static objects or areas. A game master may roll an observation skill check for a character any time there is an NPC, monster, event or happening that a character might notice, even if he did not specifically state that he is monitoring his surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception. Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.

'Hm. This isn't going to be easy' thought the male as he scanned the area from afar. Good thing that his byakugan had a decent range that let him watch everyone from afar.
Minoru had hidden himself in a tree that was 40 meters to the east of the facility. But things proved to be difficult since the ANBU agents were hidden.

Another issue was how he should contact them without getting himself thrown out of the grounds. 'I couldn't have used Toshio-kun or Shimoko-chan since they would attract attention. And I can't walk in myself.
I wish that I was a Yamanaka in times like these' thought the guy as he scanned the area. The good thing was that the masked shinobi would be easy to spot due to their stronger chakra network.

Nobody could hide from the byakugan no matter how hard they tried. Well...maybe the Onigami clan members could. 'THERE!' observed the Chuunin as he saw a person 25 meters away from his tree.
It looked to be an ANBU agent who was patrolling the garden area. 'I'll go for him' decided the male while he formed a set of hand seals as fast as possible.

'Hello. Don't fear me, I'm not an enemy. I was told to meet someone here in regards of a task. That sounds like a decent message for me' concluded the inky-haired guy as he started to project his message towards the other shinobi. He could tell this was an ANBU agent due to their network plus that an amount of chakra was circulating through their system.

This was quite typical for a jutsu that was supposed to protect the body in some way. It was not unusual to see on someone who was using a raiton jutsu that created a sort of lightening armour for example. His byakugan searched the area to see if there were anyone else there.
So far so good...the only creatures near them were some pigeons in a nearby tree. The ANBU would hopefully not turn him in or worse.

Effect: By analyzing and keeping an eye on the opponent's shoulder and foot work the user is able to predict movements and grab a feel of when attacks are going to come by making the buredono kenseijin - blade of the sword saint a more proficient fighter.

Drawback: The user is only capable of predicting movements’ one rank below then what they have learned. The user is only capable of predicting movements that are taijutsu based. Any other type of movements cannot be predicted.
Description: The way this technique works is that the user observes certain points of areas of the opponent's body such as the shoulders, thighs, and hips. Since attacks are focused on these points they are capable of making educational guesses towards points of contact that may occur within these certain points. This type of technique is a study where the user is capable of watching an opponent's movements for a brief moment of time predicting taijutsu techniques. When the user first learns this technique, they are capable of predicting techniques of “D” rank capability. When the user learns the “B” rank version of this technique, they are only capable of predicting techniques of “C” rank capability. When the user learns the “A” Rank version of this technique, they are only capable of predicting techniques of “B” Rank capability.
Limit: Must learn from a master of buredono kenseijin - blade of the sword saint.

Byakugan. Can see up to 100 yards.
Rank: “C” Rank.
Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: Allows the user to use the byakugan.
Special: ---
Drawback: Byakugan user has a 360 degree field of vision, with the exception of a small blind spot behind the user's first thoracic vertebrae (as stated in the manga). Lacks the power of analysis. This is demonstrated in an anime filler arc by Ranmaru, who created false chakra circulatory systems through the use of a dôjutsu (possibly a bloodline limit), causing the Byakugan to see inanimate objects as people and the objects themselves at the same time. However, it is not considered canon in a filler episode that a Byakugan user is unable to see the workings of such an “illusion”.
Description: Can see the minuscule chakra pressure points. With the use of certain hand seals, it also has telescopic, X-ray, and thermal vision. The byakugan is the key to Konohagakure's strongest taijutsu, the jyuuken, as it allows the user to see the chakra circulatory system of an opponent. Each level of its insight can therefore be mystified by proper means. When first learned they are capable of seeing up to fifty yards in a 360 degree radius except for that blind spot. Each time learned this amount of distance is increased by ten yards. When the user reaches up to a distance of one hundred yards the amount of training is increased to that of “B” rank level training. The amount of distance is still increased by ten. When the user reaches up to a distance of four hundred yards the user is capable of seeing even further but with an amount of “A” rank training.
Limit: Must be part of the Hyuuga bloodlimit.

Phantasmal whisper. Range: 31 meters.
Rank: “D” Rank.
Skill: Genjutsu.
Effect: A message of a length the user sets races to their intended recipient.
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: ---
Description: A mind-affecting technique. Affects 1 allied creature. The user is able to perform this technique at a distance of 7 meters plus 6 meters per class level. The duration of this technique is instantaneous. This technique may be negated. The user can send any length message. User needs not mouth the words or whisper, so there is no chance for spies to read lips. Provided the recipient understands the language, they hear it clearly on jutsu completion, regardless of the noise in the room. No one else understands or even hears the message. Silence jutsu, 1 foot of stone, 1 inch of common metal (or a thin sheet of lead) or 3 feet of wood or dirt blocks the jutsu. The message, however, does not have to travel in a straight line. It can circumvent a barrier if there is an open path between the user and the subject, and if the path's entire length lies within the jutsu's range.
Limit: Must know the phantasm perception.

Upon hearing a foreign voice in his head, the ANBU Minoru had afflicted spun around searching for the cause of the illusion darting back and drawing a whistle, blowing it loudly, 'FWEEEEEEEEEEE', as he did so. It was an alert to the other ANBU in the area and they were converging on Minoru's position quickly. The ANBU whom Minoru had approached was of course wearing the standard ANBU outfit consisting of a pair of long black slacks, black sandals, and a white tactical vest of a black under shirt, sleeveless. weaponry wise this ANBU had a large windmill shuriken on his back and a small weaponry pouch strapped to his right leg consisting of 15 throwing needles, 4 kunai, and 12 exploding tags. Other notable things were that he had black hair, short at the back though at the front with long bangs, and his eyes were now radiating chakra as he was using the sharingan. This ANBU, having blown his whistle, was now on guard and had his left hand going behind his back and grabbing his windmill shuriken and his right hand in his leg strap gripping a kunai. His stance was defensive as he was waiting for his back up.

The back up that was incoming was in the form of a female operative just a a few seconds away. Minoru would be able to see her coming in pretty fast as she was quickly closing the distance. She would be wearing something similar to the other ANBU though her hair was longer. Her attire consisted of long black stockings, black sandals, and a white tactical vest over a sleeveless black undershirt. The only real difference in their dress was that instead of a weapons pouch on her leg she instead weilded two katana, the blades strapped to her hips, and wore a standard issue mask over her face rather than the turtle neck covering the mouth her partner wore. She even carried another windmill shuriken of similar size to the first ANBU.

As soon as she'd arrive she'd send a discreet signal to her partner and hide herself in the trees nearby, Minoru's actions before then would determine what would happen to him although it was clear to him that they were not going to listen to anything he were to say. Minoru's refuge would come however, unknowingly to him, via a third ANBU operative, his original contact. This ANBU would only just be coming into his vision the second the whistle would stop blowing, she was still 40 meters out. Her attire would consist of a white tactical vest like the others though she was dressed more revealingly. She wore no undershirt, no stockings or pants, and wore sandals that had a strap wrapping halfway up her left leg though her right sandal possessed a long sock sleeve that went up and past her knee, tightened into place by the Leaf Village headband.

Her lower region was covered by two purple flaps of fabric that covered her privates Adam and Eve style and wore brown scarf that hung down her back, waving in the breeze as she moved, around her neck to cover her mouth, protecting her identity. Her hair was mid-length, tied in braids at the back, and she carried with her two wakizashi blades. In the mean time however Minoru had to react quickly so as not to be captured and hauled away, or worse killed.

[Minoru Hyuuga]

((OOC: Never been in a situation like this...I guess I just have to do what I can to stay alive. Edited the post a little to clarify distance plus position.))

'OOOOOH CRAP' thought the male when he heard the whistle. He had apparently just raised an enemy flag inside a camp filled with soldiers. Minoru then tried to keep calm as the situation went from bad to worse.
The ANBU he had sent the message to was now standing in a defensive stance with a windmill shuriken. His byakugan then noticed two other agents approaching with high speed.

'I wonder if I still got that map I got at the Hokage tower. That should hopefully prove my innocence' thought the young man. But there was little time to think as the agents started to close in.
He turned around for a second to see where the two other agents were. 'Maybe I should just hand myself in...they won't listen to me anyways' pondered the Chuunin.

The male sharpened his senses as the two newcomers had found their position. He had to make sure that they did not think he was going to attack. But judging from what had happened, they were ready to attack him.
'Maybe they'll understand the situation if I show the paper? Only the person who took the mission would have it' remembered the black-haired guy.

He then pulled out the paper while keeping his senses alert. Hopefully, the agents would understand that he wasn't an enemy. The guy looked at the map for a second prior to changing position.
He was now sitting with his body straight forward with the male ANBU to his right. The other two were at his left and all three of them were well within the byakugan vision range.

'I need to be ready to flee if I have to...better keep my senses awake' realized Minoru. His body was ready to escape this tree is necessary. The male was 8 meters above the ground while the male ANBU was 25 meters on his right.
Agent number two plus number three were approximately 40 meters to his left. 'I do have plenty of jutsus with a long range if I need to attack, but I won't do that unless I have to' thought the guy.

The user can activate this technique as a “C” Rank technique taking up hand seals. The user is able to see through and thus ignore lighter forms of concealment, such as smoke or mist. The user may concentrate for an amount of hand seals equal to a “C” Rank technique while their byakugan is active to gain the see chakra and see through chakra effects for as long as the user concentrates and their byakugan remains active. Deactivating this ability takes up no movements. When the user learns this technique the first two times, they train it as a regular “C” Rank jutsu. When the user learns this technique the second two times, they train it as a “C” Rank jutsu +10 training points. When the user learns this technique the last time, they train it as a “C” Rank jutsu +20 training points.
Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan.

Effect: The user is able to see much further than normal and access an X-Ray ability.

Description: When concentrating to see through chakra, the character can also spend time equal to hand seals to gain the ability to see through objects with X-ray like vision up to 10 meters from the user. This does not impede the user's line of sight and the distance a user can normally see, however they simply will not be able to use the X-ray ability beyond 10 meters. When the user first learns this technique the user trains it as a regular “C” Rank jutsu. Each additional training allows the user to use the X-Ray ability for an additional 10 meters. For every 50 meters the user trains an additional +10 training points added to their previous training. The user also suffers a penalty to observation checks every 15 meters instead of every 3 meters. If user loses an eye (has 1 eye) telescopic eye is reduced by 50%. Future learning also reduces distance by 50%.
Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan. Must know byakugan.

The second ANBU operative got to her position, hidden within the trees, undetectable if it weren't for Minoru's Byakugan. She gave the signal to her partner that she was present and as such the Uchiha began to pace about the garden, searching for the unknown Genjutsu user. Still gripping his windmill shuriken, the ANBU spoke aloud. "Come out and surrender now or else" he warned as he paced. The path he took was unknowingly toward Minoru's position while his backup stayed perched up a few meters away in a tree. As for Minoru's refuge, she was still a few seconds away though closing fast. A few seconds could spell disaster however if Minoru wasn't careful.

'CRAP. He's coming closer' noticed the male as he grit his teeth a little. Minoru then saw that the other guy had some odd gathering of chakra close to his eyes.
'I HAVE seen that kind of chakra collection earlier, but WHERE?' thought the guy as he started to think of the chakra natures he had seen. It then landed on his former boss Gosei.

'I doubt he has the same bloodlimit as he has. That guy does however have some sort of doujutsu though. Maybe that's how he-'.
"Come out and surrender now or else" warned the masked shinobi as he came closer. 'I guess I don't have much of a choice' realized the Chuunin.

He quickly looked around to see if there were anyone else close to him. There was another ANBU agent who was getting really closer.
'I better not do anything that can make him attack. Or at least not attack until I get back down in case I need to use my jyuuken jutsus' decided the male. He then shifted his body a little as he did a new set of handseals.

The genjutsu was then directed towards the ANBU he had 'spoken' with in the first place. 'I will come down. Please give me a couple seconds so I don't fall down' informed the inky-haired guy.
He then repositioned his body while he started to prepare his chakra network for the nankan. Hopefully, his unknown saviour would have gotten here by now.

Drawback: Can only be used five times a day. If the user is higher than “C”-rank, it still requires twenty TP to learn nankan again.
Description: The user excretes chakra from their tenketsu steadily, creating a barrier around them that alerts the user of motion before it comes near the user, giving them the appearance of heightened reflexes. Some maintain that this skill was created in order to combat the Sharingan. The user can only use this technique five times a day when first learned. Each time it is learned again, the user can use it one extra time per day.
Limit: Must learn from a jyuuken teacher or at the Hyuuga mansion. Must be a Hyuuga. Must know jyuuken advanced stance.

Minoru's voice echoed through the mind of the ANBU, his genjutsu taking effect due to the allowance of the ANBU. AN unprofessional move though he weighed the risk to reward ratio. "Then come out!" the man would cry, waiting for the the Hyuuga to show himself. The third ANBU would eventually make her way to the area, hiding herself as the second had done, she did not know Minoru was there or that Minoru was the one she was waiting for. As of yet she was not made aware of just who was to meet her, she knew only of the meeting place which was not in the current location though she did suspect that the situation that was unfolding was the result of the one she was supposed to meet. She thought that it was unprofessional if that was true though she did not think much of the standard military.

If Minoru were to comply with the ANBU demand the ANBU would wait for him to gain a few meters from the treeline, if Minoru did not do such a thing he would demand it of the boy. When and if he did so the ANBU would throw his windmill shuriken as would his partner in the treeline. The windmill shuriken however was not aimed at Minoru. They were instead thrown to cut him off to the left and right. At which point the ANBU in the treeline would dart and appear behind Minoru, cutting him off from behind, leaving the Uchiha ANBU to cut him off at the front. If all this were to unfold the ANBU would then speak. "This area is restricted, you should not be here!" would be his only statement. The two would be on guard still, their hands now brandishing weapons (the UHCIHA a kunai in his right hand, the FEMALE a katana held firmly in both). The third ANBU would still be in the trees nearby, waiting for the events to unfold.

[Minoru Hyuuga]

"Then come out!" shouted the masked shinobi. 'Here it goes' thought the male as he hopped down at the ground. His instincts however as well as his byakugan were still vigilant.
Two projectiles then whizzed through the air, only giving a couple of seconds to react. Minoru managed to dodge both of them by taking a quick step backwards.

'What-urgh. What a bore' thought the guy as his byakugan noticed the female ANBU with long hair cutting him off in the back. It did not take long until the other agent appeared in front of him.
"This area is restricted, you should not be here!" stated the other male. 'Keep calm now' muttered the Chuunin mentally as he tried to think of a reply.

He then noticed that there was a third agent who had hidden herself in the tree. That was a little odd since she was well within his vision range. But none of the shinobis here knew the male was a Hyuuga after all.
He took a deep breath as he prepared his reply. This was something the black-haired guy hoped his parents would not get to know.

"Don't worry. I'm not here to attack anyone or take any hostages. I'm a shinobi from Konohagakure no Sato.
I apparently misread the map that I was supposed to follow, which is quite embarrassing. I am here on business" told the guy.

Both of his white eyes glanced briefly at the paper he held in his right hand. He had folded out the papers so the agents could see it was a map of some sort. Minoru prayed that the ANBU agent in front of him would not slash his throat open.

The male ANBU was suspicious of Minoru's claims. "I've heard nothing of this!" he sneered with malice as he took a step closer. It was now that the contact decided to show herself. "Wait, this shinobi is my responsibility! she'd pipe up as she leapt down from the tree she was hiding in. "I am to take this boy from here!" she demanded as she showed the Uchiha some paperwork outlining a request of the ANBU on guard duty. The Uchiha nodded his understanding and moved to retrieve his windmill shuriken, signalling his partner to do the same. The two would then retreat to the forest and return to their duties leaving only Minoru and the ANBU chief in the garden. "There was a route marked though that's beyond the point now..." she'd trail off, tugging on her scarf though ensuring that those without byakugan would not see through her disguise. "Follow me and I'll take you to your quarry, keep your speaking to a minimal though do feel free to ask questions." She would lead Minoru through the grounds, a few altercations with other guards would arise though they would be dealt with quickly, they were apparently trying to keep this hush hush from the higher ups of the black ops.

Eventually they would reach a side entrance of the hotel, one that would allow access to a nature hiking area. "This is the area we have witnessesed him leaving from previously, he should edit from here this night as well though a few other operatives are monitoring the other exists so if he leaves from elsewhere someone will inform us." Her words were precise and clear. She did not want excess conversation. She was simply here to fulfil a mission, that was all. "Now we wait. You'll be able to track him from here. Keep low and stay out of sight until you reach your destination."

[Minoru Hyuuga]

"I've heard nothing of this!" sneered the guy as he stepped closer. The male decided to kick his chakra network into action. He had to defend himself even if this was an ANBU.
"Wait, this shinobi is my responsibility!I am to take this boy from here!" shouted a female voice in the trees.

Minoru the saw a female agent hop down from the trees. She appeared to be about five years older than him with a skimpy uniform. 'I don't need my byakugan to see all THAT' thought the guy as he tried to keep calm.
The other two agents retreated and the duo was now alone. "Thanks a lot" sighed the Chuunin in relief.

"There was a route marked though that's beyond the point now...follow me and I'll take you to your quarry. Keep your speaking to a minimal though do feel free to ask questions." informed the woman.
The duo walked through the woods in silence. He did not have any questions for her at the moment.

Eventually they would reach a side entrance of the hotel that was within access to the hiking area. "This is the area we have witnessesed him leaving from previously.
He should edit from here this night as well though a few other operatives are monitoring the other exits. So if he leaves from elsewhere, someone will inform us." told the ANBU. He nodded while he tried to remember what she had just said.

"Now we wait. You'll be able to track him from here. Keep low and stay out of sight until you reach your destination." muttered the female.
"I will...sorry about the map. I must have read it upside down" confessed the male as he sat down in a more comfortable position.

His byakugan studied the grounds closely to see how they looked like. There were not many people around them at the moment. Very few of them had good chakra networks and those who had were probably other agents.
The black-haired guy then suddenly saw someone exit an apartment half an hour later. His chakra network was quite weak compared to the agents.

'All right. Better see how the ANBU reacts since I can't see his or her appearance' decided the guy. He positioned himself while preparing himself to sneak again.
The next issue would be to sneak into the fighting club. Minoru was wearing civilian clothes, but his eyes would probably give him some unwanted attention.

It took a while but eventually the Daimyo's son emerged from the hotel where the ANBU had originally noticed. "There, now you've to follow him and our role is done" with that the ANBU woman dissapeared, leaving Minoru to do his job and watch over the Daimyo's son. A well built man, while he wasn't trained particularly strictly, he did have a large frame and some skill with the blade. He wore a large robe one would expect a samurai would be when not in combat. It was dark brown around the chest area and at the pant line a beige colour with the imprint of a sun at the front pelvic area. It was tied together with a white piece of fabric for a bet. He also wore a wide brim hat which covered a long black pony tail from sight and hide his face and in his left hand he carried with him a long Katana sword. He walked along a path on the nature trails with his head down and his right hand holding the front of his brim to ensure his hat didn't fly off in a breeze.

To this point he was not nervous about his actions. He was quite sure no one would be following him at this point as the ANBU were good at their job. It wasn't until he reached the end of the path that he got a little nervous, swallowing his saliva in a bid to calm himself. As he'd step off the nature track and onto the general road of the village he'd take a moment to look around himself to ensure no one was there. If he saw no one he would then continue down the road, surprisingly he opted for a public one. He preferred the security of public roads opposed to the dangers of the back streets. As the Daimyo's son he had to be careful. He'd make his way through the village without trouble and enter the out lands. From here he'd make his way through the forest on no trail, just using his sense of direction to make his way.

As he did this he would pause from time to time to look around the area to make sure no one was following him or that no animals were trying to turn him into a meal. It would take a further twenty minutes to reach a small village through the forest, one small and seemingly abandoned for some time. It would appear to have some building damage and Minoru would be able to make the assumption that this place had seen war. The Daimyo's son would expertly navigate this village, moving toward a warehouse in the center of town. The warehouse was surrounded by a large fence that was rather tattered though still standing. The building itself wasn't looking to great either. It was also suffering a little with dilapidation though again it was sturdy. Out the front of this warehouse Minoru would see a few thugs wandering about, one standing directly out the front of the door. The Daimyo's son would meet this person and then be quietly ushered inside the door as if they recognised one another. It was safe to assume this is where the fighting was to be done, now Minoru had to find a way in.

"There, now you've to follow him and our role is done" told the female. She then disappeared in the blink of an eye. 'Guess I just have to follow him alone then' concluded the male before he started to follow the daimyo's son.
Minoru studied the young man who walked in front of him. He appeared to have a rather weak chakra network, but his frame was quite athletic.

'Looks like he has a sword too' noticed the guy as he followed behind him. The Chuunin felt slightly confused when the armed man entered the general road. It would make it a little harder to stay out of sight, but the male had a plan.
He unleashed a small combination of hand seals while keeping an eye on his target. The black-haired guy then transformed himself into a copy of his animal companion Toshio.

'I don't think anyone would suspect an Abyssinian cat to be a shinobi' thought the guy as he followed his target. He was a bit bothered by that he couldn't use his byakugan, but this would make the mission easier.
It took about twenty minutes until the daimyo's son reached a small village. Minoru made sure to stay about 15 meter behind and tried to hide himself from the other guy's sight.

'Hm. This looks like a rather run-down place' observed the transformed male as he entered the village. Many of the buildings were either ran down, damaged or appeared to be abandoned.
He then spotted the young man standing outside a rather old warehouse. The Chuunin hid himself behind a container 25 meters in front of the large building.

'I don't think I can enter that building despite that I look like a cat. I'll attract too much attention if I decide to use a ninjutsu or a strong taijutsu on that trio. My best shot is to find another entrance...maybe a broken window or something' decided the guy.
He made sure the guards were not looking as he ventured towards the corner on the right side of the building. Perhaps there was an entrance that was big enough for an Abyssinian cat?

With the guards patrol route being rather routine and predictable the means to avoid sight would be rather easy for a small cat that even if was seen would be ignored. These men were not smart. Entrance into the warehouse would come in the form of a broken window which in his small cat form, Minoru would be able to fit through though would have to navigate carefully else he scratch and cut himself on the sharp edges. Once he was inside he would be able to tell that the inside of the factory was actually rather untouched. It was dusty though it would seem pristine, this place had not seen any of the fighting done outside. There would be a lot of crates and small cages stacked up and sprawled around the place, ordered to a degree though not a neat or beneficial order.



There would be two doors in this warehouse as well. One would lead down to a basement area and the other into a messy office. It would be clear that if he wanted to find the fight club he would have to make his way down the stairs to the basement and if he were to use his Byakugan he would see a man standing guard to two hall ways in a suit. He would not have a developed body nor a chakra system, he was just a regular guy. The office however may be worth checking out, or not. There would be nothing else of note in the immediate area.

'Where can I get in?' thought the male as he looked up at the wall in front of him. There was no door or anything at his level that lead into the warehouse. Minoru then spotted a window that was about ten feet up from the ground. It was broken, so there was a good chance he could get in. 'I think I should be able to get in if I climb up on those boxes' decided the guy.

He jumped up on the wooden boxes before he climbed in through the window. But the Chuunin had to be careful so he didn't cut himself. Golden eyes scanned the room for anything or anyone that looked suspicious.
'Nobody's here...looks like I'm safe for now' observed the male. He hopped down on an empty box under the window moments later.

Everything looked rather worn down despite that the room was dusty. It had probably not been used for a while. 'Don't think the fights could have been arranged here. The place is too clean plus that it's too much dust' concluded the black-haired guy.
He then hid himself behind a huge pile of boxes and undid his henge. 'BYAKUGAN!' thought the guy as he awakened his heritage.

His eyes noticed something that looked like a stairway. Minoru narrowed his eyes as he saw a man guarding the entrance. 'Looks like he isn't a shinobi either...his chakra network is too weak' observed the male.
His purple optics then shifted towards the other door. It looked like an office of some sort.

'I think I'll go to the office first. Maybe there's a photo or something that will lead me to the ring leader' decided the Chuunin. He then used the henge again to transform himself into his former cat form.
The transformed male made his way towards the office. Hopefully, the door was open or at least not too hard to open.

Description: An eye jutsu for the Hyūga clan. When activating the user's eyes dilate in the same white colour as veins bulge out of the corner of the eyes. The user can activate this technique as a “C” Rank technique taking up hand seals. The user is able to see through and thus ignore lighter forms of concealment, such as smoke or mist. The user may concentrate for an amount of hand seals equal to a “C” Rank technique while their byakugan is active to gain the see chakra and see through chakra effects for as long as the user concentrates and their byakugan remains active. Deactivating this ability takes up no movements. When the user learns this technique the first two times, they train it as a regular “C” Rank jutsu. When the user learns this technique the second two times, they train it as a “C” Rank jutsu +10 training points. When the user learns this technique the last time, they train it as a “C” Rank jutsu +20 training points.
Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan.

Telescopic eye.
Rank: “C” Rank (special, see description).
Skill: Supplementary.
Effect: The user is able to see much further than normal and access an X-Ray ability.
Special: ---
Drawback: Must have the byakugan active. May learn up to ∞ times.
Description: When concentrating to see through chakra, the character can also spend time equal to hand seals to gain the ability to see through objects with X-ray like vision up to 10 meters from the user. This does not impede the user's line of sight and the distance a user can normally see, however they simply will not be able to use the X-ray ability beyond 10 meters. When the user first learns this technique the user trains it as a regular “C” Rank jutsu. Each additional training allows the user to use the X-Ray ability for an additional 10 meters. For every 50 meters the user trains an additional +10 training points added to their previous training. The user also suffers a penalty to observation checks every 15 meters instead of every 3 meters. If user loses an eye (has 1 eye) telescopic eye is reduced by 50%. Future learning also reduces distance by 50%.
Limit: Must be in the Hyūga clan. Must know byakugan.

The door to the office would be open a crack, allowing Minoru in his cat form to squeeze through without much effort though would cause the door to creak loudly. The creak however would not draw much attention, this place was old. Creaks and groans were heard all the time. As he'd explore Minoru wouldn't find to much of anything. The room was fairly bare and the paint and wall paper was stripping from the walls in a grotesque manner. There'd be a large shelf against the far wall that'd be bare and collecting dust and a heater against the wall nearest a large desk with no chair, under a small clouded window. Here upon this desk however would be a single sheet of paper, an oddity in the room as it did not hold any dust. The sheet would be written in a dividing panel, outlining what appeared to be a matching sheet. It appeared as though it was the matching for a tournament and it named all the competitors in today's tournament (the date listed at the top of the page).

The match ups were as followed. Kenji Mihara vs Sasuke Harishima, Yojiro Masamune vs Kenta Mikuru, Toshiro Yujime vs Kitsune Yumi, and Heihachi Zaibatsu vs Kurama Juubi. In all there were a total of eight competitors meaning that there would be a total of three rounds however there was a problem with Toshiro Yujime. It appeared as though there was a possibility that he was snatched by the KMP as there was a red circle around his name stating as much. It noted as follows: 'Possibly arrested by the KMP, stupid Amarante bitch. Will have to wait until tonight to see if he'll be here or not.' The note was then signed at the bottom, R. Suzuki.

'Looks like today is my lucky day. I just hope it stays this way until I'm done with my mission' prayed the male as he approached the open door. He peeked in first to make sure there was nobody in there.
Minoru could not see anyone in there and cats had better eyesight than humans had. He then tried to squeeze his transformed body through the door.

A loud creak almost scared the life out of the guy. 'Calm down Minoru...there's nobody in here apart from that guard.
I have plenty of places to hide in here in case he gets here too' observed the Chuunin. He then looked around in the room for something that could help him during the tournament. That would not take too long due to the lack of furniture in the room.

'At least these guys are smart enough to use a building like this for the tournament. Everything looks so old and run down' thought the male as he looked at the walls. The paint was peeling while the floor was covered in dust.
The fake light orange cat hopped onto the desk to see if there was anything of interest. What he saw there made his eyes widen in surprise.

'What the...this is a matchup of all the fights that are going to happen! I doubt it can be anything else!' concluded the guy. He saw a number of eight names that were paired up against each other.

Stealing the paper would be too suspicious in his current form. He then picked up a piece of peeled wallpaper that laid on the desk to use as paper. The Chuunin then transformed into his human form after making sure there was nobody nearby.
'Better be fast about this since I still have to explore the basement. Pretty sure the fighting is going on there' thought the guy.

He pulled out a pen from his weapon pouch before he wrote down all the names backwards. That would make it look less suspect in case someone caught him. 'Great...now I just have to get down to the basement. Better use my cat form until further notice' decided the inky-haired male.

It did not take long for him to transform back into his feline shape after laying the piece of wallpaper inside his weapon pouch. He managed to sneak out of the room without making a sound since the door had opened up further. The transformed guy sneaked down the stairs with his ears open. Would there be any noises, sounds or smells that his cat-like senses would pick up?

When the user first learns this technique, they are capable of predicting techniques of “D” rank capability. When the user learns the “B” rank version of this technique, they are only capable of predicting techniques of “C” rank capability. Henge no jutsu (Transformation technique).

Skill: Ninjutsu.
Effect: A technique used to change into people other than oneself, but also has the ability to change into animals, plants, and even inanimate objects like weapons.
Special: “Handseals”.
Drawback: Unable to change into any size category larger than the user. May not change into anything that is smaller than tiny size category (1 foot). Unable to change their voice. Unable to change their sense of smell. Unable to change their chakra signature. Once the user is hit this technique is dispelled.
Description: Using this technique, the user assumes the form of a creature of same
size category as they are or smaller. User may freely designate the specifics of his new form
(such as height, weight, hair texture and color, skin tone, etc.) User doesn't change their movements, nor handseals speed. In the new form user keeps all their normal abilities unless they use a limb or body part that doesn't exist within the current form. This means the user cannot use any technique unless the body form allows it. User may create equipment so the new form may carry so long as they are not complicated items, or use chakra (master crafted items, gadgets, explosives, summoning scrolls, etc). User is not automatically proficient in them and their physical strength is not the same as the item. Any part of the body or piece of equipment that is separated from the whole reverts to its true form. Technique lasts 10 minutes per class level.

Henge-nin (Transformation endurance). Has learned it 3 times.

Effect: A technique that strengthens the endurance of lasting in the henge no jutsu (transformation technique).

Description: Allows the user to endure multiple hits while transformed before reverting to their normal state. When 1st learned the user is capable of enduring a “D” rank attack worth of damage before reverting back to their original form. The 2nd time learned the user is capable of enduring a “C” rank worth of damage attack before reverting back to their original form. The 3rd time learned the user is capable of enduring a “B” rank attack before reverting back to their original form. The endurance applies to any and all other henge type techniques. Each time learned user is capable of holding henge for an additional 5 minutes. For additional time length user may learn unlimited amount of times.
Limit: Universal ninjutsu technique. Must know henge no jutsu (transformation technique).

The cat Minoru would hear nothing for the first few feet of his descent though as he would continue a sound echoing off the walls could be hear. He would hear nothing but belated mumbles at first, nothing cognizable at first though soon he would find it to be the bored humming of a bemused usher, pacing back and forth a short distance as he performed his duties. The staircase would actually go down a fair distance, about twenty meters below so at first the presence of Minoru would go unnoticed but soon he would be discovered as this was a narrow staircase with tight walls. It would be impossible for the cat to try and figure a way around or to try and hide though this man was not of the trained nature. If Minoru were to approach it would be sensible to figure that he would treat him just like any other cat.

Some faint sounds could heard as the male walked down the stairs. Golden optics studied the surroundings closely for anything or anyone out of the ordinary. 'This staircase is quite long...that can be a problem later on if I want to escape. Especially because this staircase is quite narrow' observed Minoru.

But the latter could perhaps work to his advantage given his slightly lanky frame. He could also transform into a bird or this cat form since they were faster than humans.
'Well, what do you know. There's the guard from earlier' noticed the transformed guy. He tried to hide himself a little in the shadows while he tried to figure out how his movement pattern was.

'Hmph I doubt I can get in unnoticed unless I walk in really fast. But that may give me unwanted attention since I'm a cat' remembered the Chuunin.
While the male tried to think up a plan, he heard an annoying sound from above. The culprit turned out to be a fly that buzzed above his head.

'Wait a minute...maybe I can pretend that I'm trying to catch that fly! That would be only natural for an Abyssinian. They're playful cats after all' remembered the black-haired guy.
He then started to chase the fly that was heading for the hallways. The guy did however keep an eye at the taller male too in case he wasn't cat friendly.

Thankfully, the guard just chuckled when Minoru pretended to pounce on the poor bug. 'Good thing that I've had Toshio-kun for a while so I know how cats like him acts' thought the male. He continued to chase the fly about five meters down the hallway.
The Chuunin then looked at the crossroad. Where there anything in terms of sounds or even a smell that could lead him to the arena?
