Already have +25 in Sleight of Hand (due to Concealed Weapon in Art of throwing), So roll for Average please.
As a portal opened up and spit the dark skinned Otogakure ninja from it, hitting the ground hard. It felt like he was in the portal for nearly a year! He had facial hair and looked like he hadn't bathed in just as long, he looked absolutely like a vagrant in every possible way. "Kami be damned. WHAT YEAR IS IT?! He shouted, grabbing a passerby by he shoulders, getting strange looks and threats of pepper spray. His 57 swords swung on his back from the three sword holsters he held them in. "At least entertain me if you're going to bed for money, you urchin! a man of middle class position glared at Trace, taking him for the filthy hobo he seemed to be. A filthy hobo with quite a bit of expensive gear, including his senbon bracelet that contained a full slot of senbon, his set of Focke Wulf skates that he had somehow learned to control rather well and use as somewhat of a master. Pulling a deck of cards from his sleeve, Trace had an idea. "Sir, what if I regaled you with a card trick?" Trace asked, shuffling the cards and fanning them in front of him.
Trace sweated profusely through his silver beard. This was a horrible time to get nervous indeed. A terrible night for a curse... when did it become nighttime? That FAST?! The man chose the card and held it up. Trace the card and folded it thrice, placing it into the palm of his hand. Closing his palm around it he opened his hand again to show it still there. Furrowing his brow, Trace would open and shut his hand. Suddenly, he would raise his opposite hand and send it crashing down on top of the other, creating a smoke cloud. Walking out of the other side with a the card no longer in his hand. The smoke cleared rather quickly, due to the fact that it was a simple illusion all ninja could use. Seriously, look it up. "Sir, please open up your pocket and show me and the crowd that has gathered mysteriously what you have!" Trace watched as the man opened his pocket, thinking back to what he had done to pass it off.
Cleverly, he had indeed switched out the card with the glasses in the man's shirt pocket, as he walked toward the man he tapped him on the shoulder with his left hand as his right hand slipped into the pocket. The smoke was just a clever cover to get people to watch something else. The fact that Trace was already concealing a single senbon within the folds of his jacket was unnecesary overkill. The distinct possibility that something MAY go wrong, such as having to assassinate a man or pin him to a wall in order to escape, but Trace was confident he would enjoy his trick. Crossing his arms, Trace fingered the senbon in the crease of his jacket nervously. Hidden was it's slight sheen in the moonlight as he unfolded the card to show that it was indeed the black ace of spades! The man obviously didn't notice the other thing that Trace had done though. His lower set of arms under his cloak wrapped the belt they had stolen around it's bottom left fist whilst the man's pants fell around his ankles.
Sleight of Hand
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill
Effect: A trick or set of tricks performed by a juggler or magician so quickly and deftly that the manner of execution cannot be observed
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: The practitioner of Sleight of Hand can perform minor feats of apparent illusion by deftly hiding small items in their hands or sleeves and distracting observers. On a successful skill check, the character can hide or acquire a small object (smaller than his hand, unless he uses both hands in the operation, in which case the object must merely be able to fit temporarily in his two hands). No observers will see quite how he did it. If he fails a check by 10 or less, any observer actively looking to see how "the trick is done" can make an Observation counter check to figure it out. On failed roll by more than 10, the practitioner of sleight of hand has simply failed to do what he wanted. On a critical failure (96-100), something has gone seriously, noticeably wrong (he drops all the coins, the dove flies away, etc.). Those skilled in Advanced Sleight of Hand also gain a +10% to Pick Pocket. Look in Task Skills thread found in the Skills and Traits Index for more information. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.
