Godric would feel the moon hit is face. It was a full moon, he felt as if the sun was smiling upon him, well in an indirect way. His vampiric heart was energized at least with the thought that he had a slice of the sun right here this night. this energy was helping him fucus upon his task. He could feel his muscle work just a bit harder, that he could endure this punishment a bit more, he could push beyond his limit. The reconstruction of the muscles was a vital step within the method of pushing past ones limit. Though he had yet to truly reach his limit. It was always a guessing game and with each movement he would perform would bring him closer to that limit.
Godric would move a step to the left and then quick with his other foot move it behind that one. This was simply a set up to make a quick flurry of strikes. The wind would woosh past his blade as he made these multiple strikes. He would give quite a bit to be working with twenty katanas rather than this single one. But unfortunately he had not the funds for such things. His mind had drifted once again. This wasn’t a bad sign and actually it drifting helped exhaust him just a bit further. This was because he needed to refocus upon his task, to re-evaluate his situation. His movements had faltered and he needed to reset his focus to a degree. All of which needed to expand more energy upon the reset.
The little things that count, the small movements, the addition of having to follow through with more and more tasks. Godric was locked within this kata and he would be as swift as the wind. With each passing movement he would be closer to his goal. His muscles screaming out at him to stop but he would continue only to reach the next level. His ability as a swordsman wasn’t being tested here, no the simple act of performing at such a quick pace was. The speed was perfect and he felt it deep down, but he needed to maintain it to ensure a solidified capability within his body. He could feel his muscles buck and protest against such a training method, the sweat from his brow and the shirt that was moist would be the signification to mark this fact within his body.
Godric never gives up, not when he has ambitions, this was exactly the kind of thing he excelled at. He did not falter once more, no he pushed through the mental weight of quitting, he would push past the growing pain, this pain that he soon will be very intimate with. The pain that would be his dance partner as he struck at the air before him. He would move with it, it would move with him, he would demand more of it, it would demand more of him. This all was the goal, to exhaust himself to the point of his limit, then to push past it. That moment soon to come as another strike flashed the ground scraping it with the tip of the blade. An easy feeling yet exhausting one, had he caught his second breath, his movements had quickened, his pace but a flash on the background of the night sky.
Yes it was a second wind, but Godric knew these do not last, and it was also a sign that he was approaching the end of his endurance. With the speed of a vampiric lord he would flash his sword in the wild night. He would dance like the devil as he moved his body around. Twisting and turning like a tornado as he moved his feet. The ballad of the sword saint, the warrior of the night, the kata of speed and power. He would strike down his opponent, should they stand before him. He was but one with his weapon, and extention of his body, he would let his arm destroy the darkness even if it would simply raise anew with its legion of oblivious darkness. It was useless to fight against it but his mind was focused he would not fall or quit, he will see this through.
