Unlike many of his blood, his silky, dark brown hair streams like a river, steadily, unending, and flowing down to his shoulders. Eyes matching, these pristine, glistening orbs shine with an unknown perception, due in part to his heritage. For better or for worse, such a revealing stare has often earned itself the attention of many, both those of admiration and confusion, jealousy and disgust.
Though his skin appears unblemished, upon closer inspection, one will notice a small birthmark stamped upon his bare right shoulder. This mark shows an oddly stark resemblance to a crescent shaped moon. Unbeknownst to the owner, this sort of blemish is quite common among his people.
As far as garbs go, Makoto prefers traditional Japanese clothing with a bit of modern twist to their design. Most frequently the swordsman can be seen wearing a dark blue hakama with traces of a golden fabric weaved around the bottom half. On top, a similarly designed nagajuban is worn beneath the outer garment, consisting of more earthly browns. The outer garment itself is snow white, lined with blue and draped over his left shoulder. A golden emblem in rests upon it, indicating Kaede’s family crest. The only other minor articles are his leather armguards, which appear to be incredibly decorative, more so than needed. In true fashion, he prefers wooden geta and jet black socks for foot ware.
Of all the things worn by such a dignified looking gentlemen, one thing does stand out as strange. The swords hanging from his waist appear to be rather dull and well overused. As to why an outstanding swordsman would keep weapons of such poor condition as his tools of choice, the primary speculation is that they were mementos handed down from his masters.
