The Kusagkure Prison [Open]

A small prison cell has been dedicated to the prisoner Deidre. The prison isn't high security, but it is small and guarded by a few operatives at all times. The cell is small and dank, the bed slightly hard, and a small chair is in the corner. A chamber pot serves as a toilet for the prisoner. The walls have an interesting gray color of cement. The one wall towards the exit is composed of iron bars. Deidre Ysbal lays on her bed most of the day, waiting for visitors. She receives rations twice a day, which are composed of bread and broth.

Ryosuke had time to kill, knowing a diplomacy meeting will take some time so he figured he should at least visit some places that can at least bolster his mood and give him some time. The prison, one of such stature he did not really incur as a proper area but it held enough fortitude for him, as he entered and managed to move along through the guards. “Any new prisoner's here?” Ryosuke asked the guard, of course the guard was silent, letting Ryosuke by for the wayward pass towards the corridor that held the doors leading into separate areas for prisoner quarters. He managed to go and make way through each of them, his snake staying outside as per what agreement he held with the guard while he managed to make way and passage sense to seemingly look towards every prison cell. Most were empty but a couple of the older geezers he spoke with in the past still remained.

There was one new individual though, his eyes looking in but held no distraction to them as he saw the room barely lit as it was. However, pulling a simple chair to sit under him while now sitting outside the prisoner's gateway to the actual room they held, Ryosuke smiled and bowed his head for a brief moment. “Hello there, I am Ryosuke Zassou, how are you today?” It was a gentle question posed from a man who only carried a small kodachi at the small of his back yet clothed in black reaper robes with hakama pants to boot. Samurai sandals fashioned for him while over all this was an oriental kimono designed with cherry blossoms, a peaceful smile, with the village headband over his brow. Clearly, not his first time here but plenty of smiles of his own even in the dim light.

It was a boring day, and I was actually disconnecting and reconnecting my nasal passage out of boredom. I had already spent one night in the prison, and the tight clothes I was wearing clung tight to my teenage body. I tried to look clean without showing too much of my bodily control off to these guards. I was certainly not in the dress of a ninja, but that of a typical person who was ready to spend some time away from work. My white tanktop already looked rather dingy, but what could I expect? I'm in prison. I didn't care though. What is this, a month? Ha! I've waited years in imprisionments for new monarchs to come to power. An elected official? Peace of cake!

A man came into visit me, dressed quite like a grass ninja. I was in more modern dress, but his black robes, his kimono with cherry blossoms, his samurai sandals. I would approach this visitor as he introduced himself, and pull my ragged chair up to the side of the cell. I was going to be polite, even nice to this man. He was a shinobi, and potentially one of the ones who would watch me if I came out of jail under watch.

"Hello Ryosuke Zassou. They call me lots of things, but you can call me Deidre." I would smile at him, using my subtle influences to make my hair look a little nicer. I was all in all happy to have company, but rather confused about this man's motivations. Actually though, I really didn't care. Come prison rape, come escape attempt, this man could do no wrong. "I'm doing rather well, or rather, now I am. What brings you here today?" I would lean into the conversation, trying to be as receptive to this man as possible. This may be interesting.

Ryosuke kept his smile in the full swing of things, eyes on her while only thinking to himself that she definitely looks fairly fresh for a prisoner, indeed fresh enough for him to only figure that she had probably not done something fully worthwhile to be thrown in after a beating. His eyes on her while he answered the question, having received his in a polite manner was a good indicator she still had her spirit about her. With keen eyes he held a positive glance on her, “Well I am waiting to be seen by the Kusakage for something regarding the Chuunin Exams that just passed so I figured I'd come down here to see what developments have been made to improve some of the other tenant's lives while I could.” He treated all those within the walls of the prison equally, as though they were still human outside of what they did to get thrown in here.

With simple eyes, the residual calmness remaining or even exhilarating it away from himself. He had to wonder what an individual as this did to be thrown into the prison. Other prisoner's had viable excuses, ranging from just walking outside the village without purpose or reason all the way to killing or raping someone from the inside government. Many reasons flow through such a manner while he just held a positive gaze and notice for such antics within his own knowledgeable boundaries. “So, how long have you been in here already, and by way of chance how long is your sentence?” Indeed, not asking what brought her into it, that would be in some realm a rude thing while asking the length of time was a different matter in his eyes for which case he managed to only keep the smile held and the feeling strong enough as to kick back and relax while talking with her.

I would then say something back to him, to keep our conversation interesting for everyone involved. 'I apologize if I touch upon a bitter topic, but how did the Chunin Exams go?"  I would try to say as non obtrusively as possible. My soft tenor would give the impression that this topic can be passed over if it was uncomfortable for Ryosuke.

Ryosuke appreciated that the prisoner was relaxing more, it showed a good manner of things to him while he held a calm sense of esteem when watching her. In such he only made small glances to get a better look but none at all that had been in the perverse way. He mostly watched her face, the eyes especially as it was among those that he truly felt a better thoughtful connection to when watching someone rather than most other things. Hearing her speak, it was soft while saying thrown into a sixty day suspension as it were. Good behavior the cost of being free. It left much to be wondered about what exactly she did to get put in here. Granted, with how she said that the decision revolved around the new Kusakage, he held an attached moment of thought that this person held some regard to being imprisoned by aggravation to the Kage.

Then came a question about the Chuunin Exams, and he did pick up the softness of her voice, “You need not worry about touching any ill subjects here, I hold no manner of ill regard for most anything that the tenants here would ask of me. The Chuunin Exams went well for the opposing team. On my team was the Mizukage and our recently deceased Kusakage. Both met their end there, I was capable to carry our departed Kage's body back to the village for burial while I await the new Kusakage for results about the Chuunin Exam that he has reviewed. I've been away from the village for some time due to the Chuunin Exams, since about 4 or so months ago (early July OOC time).” He spoke in a pleasant tone, one that held soft honey to it while he watched and kept the regard in his voice for such timely notice.

The conversation would continue leisurely, and he would give me a long rant about what happened. It was sad, but I had heard the bit about the Kusakage. It has been a while, but it was quite right of him to explain all this. He seemed happy and interested in me, and I truly began to wonder what brought him here. He seemed very respectful of me, but anything could happen, and I wanted to be wary, but I was probably safe while incarcerated.

"Ah, for shame. We could use more Chunin around here. I'm sure you'll do well if you try again." I would say, as I sensed a slight lull in the conversation. I was clueless on what to do, but I was confident that this man would not be offended regardless of what I have to say. "Two kage dead in the Chunin exam. An odd occurrence indeed. I'd heard about the Kusakage, but the Mizukage too?" I shuddered, slightly upset by such a thing coming to the first ninja village I had ever been in.

With a nod he was also in awe of the fact that two Kage were dead within the same typical time. It was inspiring for himself to know that such a feat had been made. With a keen sense of self he found himself speaking again, “Well, I might be chuunin but then again might not be. The examiner actually said for my efforts I have the right for Kage Review for the title of Chuunin. Granted, I have no connection with the new Kage nor have I met him so the opinion on the matter is very highly up for debate.” It was all he could really say when presented the issue of the matter. It was more so the fact of which he held in better regard. His knowledge that the chuunin rank he could obtain was up to someone to give. He held no qualms for that in the same regard.

With a look at the individual inside the prison he now held a bit of curiosity as well. Every cell was dingy unless made to an awareness that it could by way of chance become better. It was always something left up for debate, initially though, he had a broader view when it came to prisons. “So, by way of curiosity how is your room?” There he went with the hotel motif again, “is there by chance anything that could be done better in turn. Just curious as you are here for sixty days may well make the most of it right?” Generally prisons always were gritty places but some actually were better than others, that was always something that held a good firm regard in a broader encasement in the same sentiment. He understood more than most in this life perhaps. But then again, he had never been imprisoned before.

as he explained his near-Chunin status. He would then continue on and try to probe at the nature of the cell which I was in.

I would respond, with more confidence on this issue. "Oh its not bad. Quite nice, for a prison. I was thinking about dressing it up a bit, but I wasn't sure how our lord Kusakage would respond to that, so I've left it alone so far." I would examine my surroundings, the moist stone walls, the thin layer of mattress on my iron cot, the coarse cotton sheets. "My main concern is the minimal privacy. Not much modesty for a lady here." I would say pensively afterwards as I looked around, trying to figure out what this man would think of it.

Ryosuke looked up at the flickering light and then to the other places where there were the other prisoners. Indeed, not much privacy for a woman, but not only that but he then blinked with a bit of thought. “Do you have any chakra abilities that would aid you in that regard. I can't see the Kusakage locking someone up in this prison while they have chakra to do destructive or escape attempts but with that said I'd also would assume he'd have a manner of thought for that if you are only in here sixty days.” Ryosuke tried to reason though it. His clan was one of vines, so he was capable to use those as a small shield for himself but again there were many clans out there with all different abilities.

“If you had an ability I'd suggest use it. Privacy isn't something I can really accommodate as it requires more material to be brought in than I already am allowed for my visits.” He touched a finger to his chin, tapping it twice in curious wonder. He was waiting on an answer from her but more so there was a possibility for him to assist in some way. Granted he didn't know how long his method could last given his strength level at the current time and way of mannerism.

The man would continue to discuss my state of affairs here in the prison, and he would be quite kind, but explain that he had no ability to fix the problem that I had mentioned. I of course, was completely capable of creating a cover for myself whenever I wanted, but I thought that the guards would likely consider this to be unacceptable, and would only create more problems for me, and ultimately extend my stay. "Indeed, I am a practitioner of a ninja art which could quite easily obscure me, but I think I'll choose not to use it. The guards may interpret it as me hiding something, and I don't want to be considered a trouble maker. And I'm really not shy, really in any regard, so the problem was more hypothetical than personal."

Slowly, I would open my posture up to this man even more, and smile at him in a more noticeable way. I would begin to be more honest with him, realizing I don't really care. "To be honest, the food is a little poor, and the place already seems to lack much stimulation." The lack of stimulation was no big deal to me, but if I could win some entertaining times with this Ryosuke figure, it would be worth the misleading gesture.

[Father 'Suke]

Ryosuke smiled calmly, taking in what she had said and understanding quite usefully with what all was going on. He gazed with a subtle manner while moving his body to a standing position, setting the chair off to the side and then with some ease he nodded calmly, “Well I do hope to assist in some manner of this. I'll have a talk with the Kusakage about it, or just a few guards actually. Whatever it is that is decided upon, I'll move towards getting this place suitable for you in the mean time. However for now I must go and meet with him now if I am to at all have a chance at helping your case. I fear times are about to get a little rough around the edges soon and I should make way to impart some knowledge. Once you are out, I pray you do well and earn peace with the kage who put you in here.” He began to move out, smiling calmly, “Please have a good day, and I bid you a fare well. I'll check up on you in a week to see how things are progressing whether or not my negotiations go well.”

The Uchiha walked into the small prison where the shape changer was being held temporarily. He wore a dull gray long sleeved shirt and pair of light blue jeans today and appeared to be entirely unarmed. Speaking briefly with the guard he retrieved a key and pocketed it before entering the main area of the prison. He knew which cell Deidre was in and went straight for it. "Hello, again, Deidre. How have you been in here?" He stood about two feet from the bars and looked in on the cell, she had been treated well enough like any other prisoner.

It seems the Kusakage had finally decided to pay me another visit, hopeflly this time for my release. It had been several months, almost half a year now if my count was correct, although that time was a pitance in the big scheme of things. I cared not for how long I stayed in prison. All that mattered was that I kept myself from being openly paraded on the world stage, or hunted, or killed in a manner that I did not see as fitting.

"Hello, Kusakage. My apologies for my appearance." I would say to him, before I used my clan jutsu to make an entire new set of clothing, pulling a robe over my existing clothing that made me look classier. My skin cells would refresh, making me look cleaner and fairer. "Almost six months if my count serves. And not a struggle to be mentioned. Is it time for me to be recalled to life?"I would say to him, as I got my body used to being manipulated again, for the hope that I would manage to make it out of here today."I'm a waste of good talent in here... I'm sure you can find some use for me... even if I took my sabbatical in your prison, Kusakage."

[Takeuchi]

He did not make any visible signs as the clothing was changed before him, created from seemingly nothing, at least not that he could really make out. "A talent wasted is better than a talent used for the wrong things." The Uchiha, spoke in response to the shape shifter's plea, there was something that needed saying before anything else at this point in time. "Now, tell me, what do you think was the purpose of me sending you to this prison?" He was curious about this creature's opinion of what this whole thing was about.

I didn't really care the result of this thing. If I got out, I would be able to do countless things, maybe fake my own death, and head to another village. Anything is possible if I really desire it. But no, that was not the real plan here. I wanted him to think I wanted out, to think I was his pawn. I don't even mind actually being his pawn, as long as I someday get a chance to die and head out of here, so I never become too terribly important.


"You put me in here to keep me from causing trouble and sabotaging the village, and because I asked to be put in here. You agreed because you suspected that by defying my chances at escape you would make any kind of complex plot fall apart. You wanted to stop me from spreading the village secrets across the world. Well, you broke my desire for vacation, that is for sure. I wish to serve again. Please allow me that pleasure."

[Takeuchi]

With a sigh the man lowered his head slightly and shook it. Politics, truly a bane on all of existence itself where people sought out long and drawn out schemes to undermine them in the simplest of actions while overlooking the most basic reasons for something. It was too bad that he could do nothing to end politics and it's hold on others, but now he had to play the game itself. The Uchiha withdrew the key from his pocket and unlocked the door, "You are free to go and move about the village for the time being."

"Thank you Kusagake" I would say gently, before I left the area.

Shaking his head slightly at the pity of it all, the man followed the shape shifted out of the prison.
