The ANBU Owl member and Ginko quickly reached the village square wherein the market was located. Still without the proper inventory, Gin would be forced to use strictly nin- and genjutsu had this encounter proven too difficult for her to just talk out. Her tactical vest was closed completely and hugged her body closely as she and the Butai member moved across the rooftops, eyeing down on the inhabitants of the marketplace.
"Where are they.." she whispered lowly, moving her head back and forth to find any trace of intel that could lead her to the location of the thieving children.[00 / 05]Observation
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill
Effect: This skill focuses certain powers of observation - sight, smell, hearing, and touch.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Can be learned by an Animal. A failed check indicates that the character is oblivious until the thing is pointed out to him. This skill is important for ferreting out advancing enemies or ambushes, generally real-time events and actions occurring, versus scrutiny, which covers static objects or areas. A Game Master may roll an Observation skill check for a Character any time there is an NPC, monster, event or happening that a character might notice, even if he did not specifically state that he is monitoring his surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception. Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill. If you are Schooled in Anthropology you gain a +10% synergy bonus with Observation checks that involve noticing disguise checks.

Within the marketplace had been numerous stalls that Ginko could easily see from her higher vantage point. Given her bird's eye view of the area, she was able to see several places that had been damaged by the recent skirmishes. The first place she had seen was a small stand that sold fried fish sticks.. she could smell burnt fishmeat cooking over an exposed fire, as she observed the shop keeper yelling about some children haven stolen his wares. This man was dressed as a traditional chef sans the chef hat, and his greasy and dark skin made Gin sure that he had fallen at some point while trying to chase the children down. Her head snapped to the right as soon as she heard a loud crashing sound come from an antique dishware stall.
Here, with keen eyes, she squinted and saw a woman crying as her husband attempted to consul her. These people had apparently just purchased some new and fine china but that would all go to ruin as it lay in the fresh soil broken into numerous pieces. Ginko could see just how hard the woman had been crying---she had been shaking uncontrollably as she tried to explain to her husband what had happened. Catching on to the woman's movements, Gin lifted her gaze to match the direction in which the woman's hand had pointed. It was towards a third stall where four children had began to cause a ruckus. They were younger than she and looked like ruffians that lived on the streets given their dirty clothing. Before she moved in to confront them, though, she waited to see what they would pull at this third market stall. Beside her, the Owl operative watched without making much noise on the situation.
