Ayakashi…Phantoms who are born from “Blight” A corrosive effect of Sins upon souls. They wander around places where great feeling are felt. Love, anger, hatred, fear, all these emotions breed “Storms that attract these evil spirits. They attack themselves to humans and whisper evil thoughts. Unseen by most mortals, they are manipulators instead of fighters. But that doesn’t mean they wont. They come in all shapes and sizes, with the most common being eyes that just watch people. In most cities in this war like age, there are tons of phantoms. For those who know how to send spirits back to their place, they can make a good living from it.
A man who had seen phantoms ever since he tainted his own soul with sin, stood before the entrance to the temple of a god. He was there to purify it of the phantoms who had taken over temple. But to do so he would have to prepare his soul first. It seemed that the biggest phantom had possessed the head Monk. “I, Val’Shu shal absolve your sins.” He took the scythe off his back and flicked it, causing the blade to lock into place as he began to enter the temple.
