[The Doctor]

The Doctor had never been here before but it was nice to get out of the house from time to time. He was quite busy and would continue to be busy however even he needed rest and time to recuperate the body and mind.

As the Doctor would walk in he noticed a cart with several people guarding it. Eyes narrowed as he glanced at each of them gauging who they were from the evidence they had shown to the Doctor from such a quick glance. At that moment he would be able to tell their strengths, size, body type, hair color and various other assortments. The Doctor instinctively placed it into his memory palace before heading in.

The Doctor was wearing his black slacks, white shirt and grey vest. He wasn't wearing a tie today but he did have a small fedora hat on. As he entered the restaurant he quickly removed it and held it between his left arm while his overcoat draped over him comfortably as he ruffled his short light brown hair.

The Doctor walked up to the host and gave a slight bow. "Table for one, no reservations," he spoke nodding his head to the sides before glancing around once more as if looking for someone, but not at all. His hazel eyes grasping at all of the information around him.

The Doctor entered with no equipment which was quite strange for him to do. It was a practice he would slowly begin to try and do.

[The Doctor]

It was odd that a bunch of animals were guarding this cart. The Doctor was curious but not too curious as there were always many awkward people roaming the world.

"Excuse me, Doctor? Would you remember me?"

The Doctor turned to her and stopped. He flashed a smile and gave a little bow without removing his eyes from her. He recognized her indeed. He had not seen her since her incident with the burned hands.

"I never forget a patient, nor a fellow Doctor," the Doctor commented with a smile.

"Please Doctor I would be thrilled for some company, unless of course you seek solitude." she asked as the Doctor gave another nod.

"It would be my pleasure," he continued before taking a glance at the exits while removing his coat. He placed the coat along the back side of his seat and placed the Fedora hat on the left side of him, away from her while sitting to the left of Kogaku. He didn't sit directly beside her side by side, but on the side of the table next to her. This was a tactic used for conversation just in case if anything got awkward. It was also a way of staying close to one another without a table being directly in front of each other.

"You know," the Doctor opened his mouth and began to speak. "I have never been to this place before. Have you?" He asked curiously, placing his hands on top of the table. "It is a pleasure of seeing you again. How are your hands." he asked looking at her.

[The Doctor]

"That is good," he replied never removing eye contact from her. The Doctor nodded as he grabbed the menu calmly and began to look over it while listening to her.

"I quite enjoy it here and as this is most likely my last meal I thought I should go somewhere I enjoy."

His eyes moved away from the menu as he slowly looked towards her.

"Which also means dinner is on me tonight."

"My apologies," the Doctor commented calmly before clearing his throat. "May I ask what you mean by "Last meal?"" He asked curiously with a hint of worry in his voice. He was not going to argue about her paying for the meal, he was more concerned about the previous more concerning statement.

"Which reminds me, I have a few gifts for you after dinner."

The Doctor still did not remove his eyes from her before glancing back down at the menu. "Now this really has me curious," the Doctor said calmly looking up at her once more. "First, your last meal, and now gifts," he continued with a serious look. "What is going on Miss Kogaku."

[The Doctor]

"You are a good man Doctor. I was not always a good woman." she informed him.

The Doctor looked up from the menu at her once more before placing the menu down as he seemed to know what he wanted now.

"No higher power asks for a person to always be good or bad. It is never black and white like that. When one meets the maker it is then they are looked up on to see if the good they have done in the world outweighs the bad, or if the good they have done is strong enough to balance over the bad." the Doctor commented to her, somewhat answering without a question to her first statement.

"When I was truly a young girl, before my powers of aging came to be, I was under tutelage of a man who is perhaps the greatest evil that this world has ever known. For the last few decades there has been a quiet war between us, each seeking to undermine the others work." she said.

"How one obtains power is never the question, it is what one does with said power," the Doctor continued while sipping on his own water.

"I have received an invitation. I know in my heart that the time has come. The final battle is upon me. To rid his evil from the world I will in turn perish. If he attempts to permanently remove my good from the world, he too will die." she continued with the discussion "Once I leave this plane, I will not return." This caught the Doctor off guard.

"I wish for my belongings to go to those who will continue to do good in this world once I am gone." When she asked this the Doctor looked curiously at her.

He stopped briefly and decided to ask. "What is this man's name?" he asked curiously. Then he stopped and thought of what she said briefly. "Plane? I did not know it was possible to travel from plane to plane," he continued. "I have no intention of stopping you for I understand a battle such as this must be done alone and I have no way of following you but I have to ask, what plane is this?"

He sighed softly and glanced back at her once more. "What makes you believe I will be of any good with these gifts?" he asked.

[The Doctor]

The Doctor listened to her words as he began placing the conversation into his memory palace. It was strange that there would be a place between worlds, a world of once known before. This was an area he did not know about and would have to gain more knowledge about at some point due to his own curiosity. Then, the name popped up. He would memorize this name, placing it deep within his own memory palace.

"Odd name indeed," the Doctor commented about the name.

"I have seen and guided the souls of many. I know goodness when it is before me."

A waiter came by and the Doctor handed his menu after Kogaku. He waited until she ordered and he ordered as well. The Doctor ordered a chicken goujon, gently fried in extra virgin olive oil with chives.

The Doctor turned his attention back to Kogaku and continued the conversation. "I am not as good as you may think but I do appreciate the compliment," the Doctor said calmly with a half sigh. "Who else knows you are leaving," he continued to ask before taking a glance around.

He waited for her to answer and then decided to change the conversation. "You know I was in a restaurant like this when I was younger back in my traveling years. There was a quaint spot found in the Country of Water away from the main city and they just happen to have the absolute best apple pie," he said with his same smile, knowing if it was false or not was, almost impossible.

[The Doctor]

The Doctor became silent at her answer about her informing the village. He was actually curious if the village would stop her but decided against it.

"That sounds enjoyable. I do not eat out often so I am not as well versed in the local cuisine as most."

The Doctor nodded as he took a sip of his drink.

"My cooking is not without merit though I am more well versed in salves than soups."

The Doctor placed a hand against his chin and thought about it for a moment. "You know I have a similar dilemma when it comes too cooking," he said calmly. "I can never get how it works, and when it comes to following instructions I just throw them away," he said commenting about food. "But if you ask me how it was made, temperatures, and how a process goes I can probably give you a solid answer," he continued with a chuckle.

"Well, this does follow through with my theory that a man's brain is an attic so knowing how to cook pays no mind to me," he continued.

[The Doctor]

"You must have made some incredibly interesting cuisines back in your day," the Doctor commented to her as she was reminiscing of the past.

The Waiter came and brought in a basket of bread with butter. The Doctor reached down and picked up a piece of bread and examined it some. He grabbed a knife on his side and spread the butter before speaking once again. "Recommendations?" he asked curiously.

He took a bite and waited before bringing up some more curiosities. "My apologies but I must ask, how old are you, truly. I know it is disrespectful to ask but you are simply a fascinating woman so I must ask," the Doctor bombarded questions with.

Then a thought popped in his head. "Wait minute so those creatures outside are yours correct?" he continued calmly. "They are quite a unique bunch, will they be heading out with you?"

[The Doctor]

The Doctor listened to her words, especially about speaking on her age. This was a great curiosity that he wanted to know and just gave nods to. He did not push the issue any further as he was given quite a lot, and yet given so little.

He gave a sigh and leaned back on his chair before looking forward as she continued. He listened how the creatures out in front would no longer have a companion with them. He pondered on how lonely they would be and gave a soft sigh. He slowly was going into a thoughtful gaze out into the distance.

"And how are your dogs?"

Snapping out of it the Doctor cleared his throat. "Ah yes, my four pride and joys," he said with a smile. "Carla has finally gotten out of her shell and is now trying to become more conversational with people in general however she still hides behind her brothers and sister if she feels she is in danger." he stopped and reached for a glass and took a small sip. "Wilhelm is still being a leader, trying to keep the others in check but she likes to fall into mischief if it suits her. Jacob is still as hyper active as always." He stopped and took another sip of water before setting it down on the table. He crossed his legs and turned to her with a smile. "Then there is Grimm who I worry sometimes because he is a little too protective of his family and home."

[The Doctor]

He tapped his hand against his chin and nodded. "I know of the Gorecupine." he commented remembering what he learned about creatures as that. "I honestly do not see many of them who are kind and gentle so I hope he finds a good home." he continued.

He stopped and thought for a moment before grabbing another bread and began to spread it with butter. "They are large creatures too," he continued in deep thought. "Why would he not do well without a companion? Did something happen to him in the past?" he asked curiously, wanting to know a bit more.

The Doctor was not one to take in other animals, and he had not planned to do so even further, however watching over a comrade's companion may be the best option if no one else is willing to do so. He kept this to himself however and simply waited for more information.

"You know it reminds me of my little ones. They would be loss without me because I found them by themselves without anyone when they were but new born pups.

The Doctor stopped momentarily and raised his hand up for a moment. "Excuse me," he said calmly raising it up to his right ear where he heard the words of a radio call.

"Doctor Adams this is Michiru at the embassy. The transaction is complete."

"This is the Doctor, I am currently indisposed of with a friend so I will get there when I am available. Thank you." he commented before placing his hand down and looked at Kogaku with a soft apologetic smile. "Apologies, a business transaction was just completed and I was being notified by it, but please let us not stop our evening with such trivial matters."

[The Doctor]

The food had finally come and the Doctor was pleased with the look of it. He gave a thankful wave to the waiter reached for the fork and knife after he was done with the radio.

Medium? This honestly shocked the Doctor. He would have never expected to see something as large as a Gorecupine be so small, even though Medium height was still quite large. The Doctor adjusted himself as he thought about it for a moment and narrowed his eyes. There was still something he did not get.

"He has a demeanor that tends to frighten others do it is difficult for him to make friends. He is very sweet and playful though." she commented.

The Doctor nodded some and raised his right hand some in question. "Is that not an oxymoron of sorts? How can a loving, adorable creature with a soft heart be "difficult" to gaining friends with his demeanor?" He asked her.

While he was asking he began to cut a piece of his chicken and took a bite, giving a little moan of pleasure as it was quite delicious.
