Description: Target is Personal. Range is 10 meters Radius. Duration is Instantaneous. A Soulcaster can replenish their own soul at the cost of everything around them. This is not always a bad thing, but it will leave large areas devoid of any life. User does Healing Hands (Moderate) amount of damage to everything living (plants, creatures, etc.) in a 10 meter radius and heals themselves or another creature the user is touching Healing Hands (Moderate) + 5 Armour Points per Class Level. This Jutsu does not damage the user nor the target. If no damage is dealt then no healing will be done. The blight of this Jutsu can sometimes draw negative attention from the fey.
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster.

Description: A personal based technique. Works on 1 creature at a time. Duration of the Jutsu is 5 hours per Class Level. User stumble on a way to change their soul's eyes so they are more like the eyes of planar creatures. Since they are a reflection of their own soul their eyes change as well. User gains the ability of low-light vision and can see auras of invisible creatures (issuing invisible creatures only a 20% concealment). User also sees lingering auras where living creatures have touched solid objects much like a footprint. These lingering auras only last for 2 rounds and fade away.
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster.

'It is simple, just shift your soul around the eyes and you'll be able to see just in in low lights such as these.' With an exasperated sigh I responded to the Y'la that had attached itself to my being when I was but a babe. "You say this, but give no explanation on how I would go about manipulating my soul." It was then that I heard the voice of another woman, it would seem that I had stumbled upon another during my wandering of this forest in the countryside. I began to focus myself as I did this, my ability to concentrate on conversing while doing such things second nature with Lasciel pestering me during my training.

I focused upon my eyes, yet at the same time the thing I was focusing on was not my eyes, part of myself and yet separate at the same time. It was my essence that I was putting my focus into, at least that was what I thought I was focusing my will upon, with my eternally unhelpful teacher I could not be certain. What I said while focusing myself was, "Ah, I will be sure to keep my distance to avoid such a fate. I find it quite amazing to be able to drain the life from a being using only your soul, then again the one I have teaching me is woefully inept at the job." I began to change what passed for my ethereal eyes, shifting them to something capable of seeing in lower levels of light.

I could feel the change taking place, not only on that part of myself that could not be seen by the unaided eye, but upon my true eyes as well. The lower lights of the forest began to become clearer, as if the lighting were getting better and better. I needed to obtain better skills than simple low-light vision, supposedly it could allow me to see the aura of a physical touch on something. My soul continued to shift and morph itself at my prompting and I looked upon a tree I had touched a couple seconds previously. "I would like to learn quite a bit more of using my soul, could I perhaps obtain a few lessons from one as talented as you?"

Effect: Removes the flight ability of a creature.

Description: Target is 1 Creature. Range is the range of Searing Soul. Duration is 5 rounds per Class Level. Users places the weight of the world on another's shoulders for once. User performs this Jutsu on a target within the range of Searing Soul. That target is unable to leave the ground. All flying abilities stop functioning. All Jumping and Climbing is not possible. If the target is not on the ground when this Jutsu takes effect the target must return to the ground as fast as possible without the risk of damage. A Will Save of 10 + (2 Per Class Level + Impeccable Will) will negate this effect.
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster.

'There, you have been refused so you may give up and leave, instead try and use your soul to force a flying creature to the ground.' "Quiet, Lasciel, the grown ups are speaking." Is how I responded, verbally, with no drop in my vocal volume, "Then I cannot force you to acquiesce to such a request, but I will remain to watch someone with some actual talent make use of the arts and perhaps pick up a thing or two." Already I was working with my soul, for at least I had managed to get some notion of it. At this point I was shifting it, turning it into something weighty rather than jut an ethereal force.

The woman spoke of her lack of desire force a trainee like me, such the pity yet I had no desire to sell such a lovely body. "That would be quite a waste, to join a palace of pleasures, and it would not have the satisfaction of stomping upon all that is precious to those that once wronged me." It was becoming increasingly difficult to mold my soul, the source of such things becoming more and more difficult to grasp. Yet as I was floundering a bud of life came back, its source being this creature before me that drew life from the wildlife around us. While anger was not something I paid much heed to, my own or another's, there was still something I did and I could use that at my grip.

So I turned to it, to the power of my emotional state, to my contempt and disgust for all those too feeble minded to understand that which I was. Grasping hold of that and my soul became as malleable as soft clay and I set to shaping it again, this time to freeze wings rather than weigh down a winged beast. "I thank one without interest in noviates for the bountiful hint, though I find myself with no use for anger. Those who may have earned it are too lowly to even be worth it and have only my contempt." Kicking a rock that was on the ground into a bush I watched as a bird soared into the are and flung the shard of my soul at it, the thing would land within this mysterious woman's field of death should it fall.

Description: Target is 1 Object. Range is Personal. Duration Varies. Takes 3 full rounds to perform. User contacts with the souls long dead and they provide clues on how to find an object (Not applied to Villages). Performing this Jutsu takes 3 full rounds, and at the end the user talks to a spirit that knows where to find the object. User must have firsthand knowledge of the object. The spirit is indifferent to the user and must be controlled by a GM. The User must try to gain the information from the Spirit. Most spirits give out cryptic clues more than direct answers to mess around with the one who called upon their spirit.

"Perhaps I do not, perhaps I do not have to." It was perhaps not the most eloquent response I had ever given, but I was somewhat distracted, what I was about to attempt would be far more difficult than my earlier soul manipulations. This time it was not my own soul that was undergoing use, but I would be summoning the spirits of the dead to find an object, one I already knew the location of, of course. I took a seat upon the grass, little did I know I was but a foot outside of this woman's killing field at the moment. As I thought of what I was about to do, I believed my initial assessment was incorrect and perhaps some manipulation of my own soul was, in fact, necessary.

I began to shape my soul within as the woman spoke, not paying much heed as I was trying to create the lure for the spirits of the long since departed. 'See? You have been refused and she only antagonizes you at this point, it is best for us to be off and have no more to do with this woman.' At this my eyes opened, "Silence, Lasciel, I have had enough of your foolishness. I will do as I please when it pleases me, so be silent so I may focus." After a moment I settled myself once again and began to form my focus into the lure I had been making not too long ago, drawing up the depths of my contempt for the pitiful creatures that inhabited this world.

"My apologies for that, Lasciel can be overly sensitive when she perceives a being as a threat to her." My soul continued to take shape and form into something I believed would lure in the spirits of the departed and began to allow the bait to seep from her body. She just needed to be able to lure in one spirit with this so she would be capable of seeking the object. The only reaction that she obtained was a fox wandering by and sniffing the air slightly. With a breath of annoyance I began to draw upon the will of my soul again, my lure was not quit good enough.

While trying to form a lure I finally found my words to acknowledge what she had said of my contradiction. "It is not anger that I feel towards them, for they would have to be of my equal to be deserving of such. I feel nothing but contempt for them, they have wronged me and shall one day pay for it, whether that happens with their death or breaking is for me to decide later." I began to add bits of passion to my little soul bait, perhaps I could use that to lure in spirits much more than my soul in it's rawest of forms. It was taking time to feed my soul bait with the raw emotions that filled my being, perhaps that would be decent enough to act as a lure, but I would take more time to create this.

"Do you feel anger towards the insect that makes it's way into your meal, or do you simply deal with the creature and be done with it? In my case, however, these insect cannot be dealt with so simply, so I will take my time with them." I could feel the lure for the dead was formed fully and I decided that perhaps now it was as good a time as any to unleash it. The bait began to seep from my body in something of a soul mist, the passions and disgust becoming almost palpable in the air as it was unleashed into the air, I could only wait for the spirits to show up for me to see and speak with. I waited, and hoped for the entities to show themselves to me.

The bait I had unleashed was woefully inadequate to summon a spirit of the dead it seemed, I would have to think of something else. My mind wandered for a moment thinking back to what might help me out with this when I decided that perhaps my memories would be able to act as a sufficient lure for these entities from beyond the grave to locate the item which I sought. Yet this woman spoke of anger as if it were power incarnate, yet I gained nothing from something as mind numbing as anger. "Power to some perhaps, I cannot afford the irrationalities that anger brings to the mind." As I was speaking, my mind was also seeking, trying to pull forward a memory of enough significance to draw in the spirits.

I drew up one from the time I was in a school, one that was meant for general education rather than those that taught us in the art of basic ninjutsu. As I drew it forth into my soul I could see the memory quite clearly, it was the first time the insects that dwelt within my body, a time that I looked upon with disdain towards my past self. When it was discovered and people had begun to tease me about them I grew angry, and in my rage I released the hold that had kept Lasciel at bay and released my beetles upon the class. It was both a lesson to them and myself, my head shaking slightly as the memory flowed through me and infused my soul bait.

"Lest I can harness the power of another's anger itself, then I fear that anger itself holds no power for me, only risks." Perhaps I should not be so hasty as to shoot down the words of this woman, she had just displayed to power to drain an area of life in order to heal a wound she had inflicted upon herself. "It also requires one of great strength to be able to make use of power wrought in rage without causing harm to themselves." I began to release the bait of my soul, now that the memory was properly infused within it, in hopes of the dead finally being summoned into being in order for me to question them.

Effect: Creates a whirlwind storm of threads to attack anyone the user desires.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: This skill places a great strain upon the user. If they receive a hit higher than 'B' rank while performing this technique the skill will end due to lack of concentration.
Description: This is perhaps the ultimate attack of the Karinui. Once the user performs the needed hand seals any thread in a sixty meter radius will come to life and sharpen. These threads will dart about, attacking and stabbing through anything in the area at the users discretion. Often the threads will bunch together and impale an opponent upon the thread. These threads can dive underground and sail through the sky. They can be used to trap and bind an opponent only to turn around and stab them in a wonderful storm of threads, including those from their own clothing. This technique can only be upheld for three rounds before it must be dropped, leaving the user exhausted and unable to perform a technique above 'B' rank for four rounds.
Limit: Must be a Karinui. Must know "Ito Seichuu" S Rank and "Hokorobiru" S Rank. Must know "Surudoi Ito" six times.

Time ticked ever onward and I could not help but think that I was going to have to construct something anew. Yet after a few moment, I suppose it took about thirteen seconds in total, I could feel it. A wisp of something was creeping up along my back and I took the time to respond to the woman, "Will is something I have quite an abundance of, yet not enough to spare for the time being to fend off both an ancient spirit and maintain control of the rage." That wisp of a feeling was beginning to grow and I looked up, hopeful to see a spirit appearing.

What I saw instead was this mysterious woman had seemed to have shed portions of her own garments. Looking down I then realized the source of the feeling, my top layer had been taken apart and now my shirt was as well once again. With a sigh of annoyance I would speak once again, "There very least you could do, is buy me dinner or a drink before disrobing me." Nudity really did not bother me, as the woman doing the disrobing would find quite simply, I was not even wearing any undergarments despite even wearing a skirt all the time. I began to once again construct the bait that I had formed previously when I saw it appearing before me, a being began to rise from the ground, ethereal in nature.

My bait had succeeded, it took a bit but I did manage to summon the spirit to me, the next step was to ensnare it so I could force it to speak with me. I stood with my clothes completely gone for the moment and stole a glance towards the woman I believed would be admiring my nude form. "Well, I never." I could not help but say, "stripping me like that is one thing, but the very least you could do is spare a glance to admire what you so carefully revealed. Is there something that unappealing about my body?" Shaking my head I began to gather the power of my soul into my hand and work it into a form I could use.

I just needed to make a binding of my own essence to keep the spirit here so that I could question it. I made use of the properties of my soul that I had used to make the now dead bird incapable of flight and unleashed that upon the ghost. It would seem that my own soul was capable of binding the soul of this deceased human being, at least it seemed to be human, and force it to answer me.

Modesty. Well, it was a courteous gesture so I could not scorn her reasoning behind it. "I see, and thank you for the courteous gesture. I personally believe, that modesty is for one who feels ashamed of their own body and I feel no need to be ashamed of myself." I could see the spirit before me taking on a more solid shape as I continued to work my will through my very essence. It would only take a small amount of effort more to finally have my binding ready, yet before I managed that the spirit faded and I could feel that it was too late for the capture and interrogation now. Yet at least I could form the bait and I felt I had a decent grasp on the technique of binding to keep the dead in place.

I began to call forth new memories and allowed them to flood my mind as I worked toward getting a new bait formed. To distract myself from the aggravation that began to flood me I spoke once more to this woman, "I must admit, I find myself to be quite disappointed that I am the only one to be laid bare by this. Your body is quite lovely and it is a shame you will show me no more than you already have." With a memory chosen I began to mix it with my soul, or perhaps focus one part of my soul into another, to form the bait. When I felt that it had been adequately created it began to flow from my body once again, pouring out in an invisible mist of spiritual essence.

This time I was ready, and was already beginning to shift my soul to form the bindings before the spirit appeared. My clothing formed over my body again and the fact that she was not through was made clear to me, "Very well, use it as you please and do not mind using me as well. As long as you do not inflict a significant amount of harm to my body, then don't feel the need to be gentle." The spirit appeared before me and this time I was ready, giving it time to solidify the body into a less translucent form before I bound it's soul to the earthly plane and a smile touched my lips.

Looking at the spectre before my person, I used what I knew of soul malleability to shift both the soul of my mouth and ears to be able to properly communicate with the deceased. "Tell me, spectre, where is it that I may locate the casket of my mother." The words had hardly left my lips when the ghost, bound by my soul, began to speak. 'The house of death is what you seek, past lands afar and waters deep. The lunar crescent is where you find, the casket where your father lie.'

Description: A personal or touched based technique. Works on 1 creature at a time. Duration of the Jutsu is 5 hours per Class Level. A creature protected by Controlled Soul suffers no harm from being in a hot or cold environment. It can exist comfortably in conditions between -50 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit (-45 and 60 degrees Celsius). The creature's equipment is likewise protected. Controlled Soul des not provide any protection against other environmental hazards such as smoke, lack of air, and so forth. User also gains 10 fire and cold resistance (this stacks with any they may have already).

A mention of time before a shared experience of being disrobed and a slight chuckle came to my lips as I dismissed the spirit. The information it had given me was perfect and quite simply deciphered to mean that he was buried in the Land of Moon far away over both land and sea. Speaking of bloodshed kept the smile on my lips and caused it to curl quite cruelly, I was no delicate flower that required coddling. "My dear, I am no flower to be sheltered from a wind. If a flower I am, it is a flower of Hell." It was then that a wind rose and cut quite deeply with a chill, though it was spring we were still in a shaded area.

I took my soul and began to shift it, shaping it into a more resilient form to keep myself from feeling the cold in the air. My clothes were swiftly removed once again and this time the threads they were made to circle about my figure. Wondering what was happening as I began to shape my soul I suddenly saw a few shoot out and stab sharply into my hips. A slight hiss escaped as the threads pierced smooth skin, it was no great pain but it was still something that threw off my concentration, and I was not expecting it quite so soon. I braced both body and soul to feel neither pain nor cold, I needed to do so in order to keep myself from succumbing to worse colds than this.

I did not need to shape my soul too differently either, I began to shape it and give it more of a furry nature rather than anything more significant, it wasn't like the change would be represented physically either. The cold was beginning to ebb and my body was becoming more and more accustomed to both the chill and the pain, soon enough I would not even be feeling either one. Perhaps a bit more physical stimulus and I might actually begin to enjoy what was transpiring rather than see it as an annoyance. "Oh, how inconsiderate of me, I have yet to introduce myself. I am Chizuru."
