Kyogi had been without proper training for far too long. He had learned many skills but in self-reflection it was easy to find where he lacked. Ninjutsu was certainly one area but if an opponent could stay away from his punches and strikes they could be difficult. Kyogi had heard of a dojo that trained in the arts of ranged fighting. This was where Kyogi was headed this early morning. The sun was beginning to rise on the sound village but as he drew near the noises became much clearer, the sounds of training. Kyogi was wearing all blue today from his t-shirt to his shorts to the blue sneakers on his feet. Around his forehead he bore the sound village’s headband.
Arriving at the dojo Kyogi slid the door open only to be met by a face of a woman who spoke quickly. ”What do you want?” Kyogi couldn’t help but smile as he heard the sounds of metal making their marks, ”I want to learn how to throw.” The woman looked over Kyogi before grabbing him by the shirt pulling him into the dojo and closing the door behind Kyogi. A bit startled by the pulling but the woman didn’t wait for Kyogi to react ”My name is Jülian and I we will begin the basics. I don’t want to know who you are until you can do the basics. Follow me.”
Kyogi followed after Jülian whom led him into an empty room with a single target and a table with kunai upon it. ”Stand here and watch me.” Jülian spoke as she picked up a kunai. Kyogi’s eyes were focused on her form the feet separated how she shifted and twisted before throwing the kunai dead center of the target. ”Now you do it.” Kyogi moved to where Jülian had been standing ahead of the target and to the right of the kunai table. Retrieving a single kunai Kyogi spread his feet apart. He angled them the same as Jülian had. ”Put your weight on your back leg!” She commanded Kyogi. Listening Kyogi shifted his weight around. ”Now shift forward twist and throw.” More instructions but it was what was needed to learn. Kyogi twisted his body moving the weight from his back leg to his front, his shoulders and hips twisted with his movements as he flung the kunai towards the target. It smacked into the target but bounced off landing on the ground. Laughter was heard from behind him. Kyogi turned frowning at Jülian. ”There is much for you to learn. Make sure you return to your original stance so you can continue to throw multiple weapons. However you seem to be a fast learner.”
The Stance
Rank: "E"
Skill: TaiJutsu/Supplementary
Effect: Stance is a crucial part of using any weapon. This is the basic stance technique.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Begin with the feet in a 90° comfortably separated at about half a shoulder's width apart. Center the weight on the rear leg. When throwing the user shifts their weight to the front. This causes the hips and shoulders to twist into the throw forcing the body's power into the throwing arm. After the throw is complete recover by returning to the original stance to ready the next throw.
Limit: Must be a Throwing Specialist.
