Objective: Help a rescue team look for a lost person.
Description: A rich merchant's daughter has disappeared. A rescue team has been working on it for twenty four hours now without success. Shinobi have been asked to assist the search team to find the young Yenny. It is said that on the day of her disappearance she was supposed to come home straight after the academy day was over.
Reward: 4,225 Ryo

Kura stepped out of the gates and wandered out into the rain country. He had absolutely no talent for tracking and had no idea why his first instinct to find this missing girl was to leave his village. Well, whatever. He was already out so he might as well start looking. It wasn't long before he came to the conclusion that he had no idea what he was doing and decided to head towards the nearest town and try to find some information concerning Yenny.

"Tell me where she is!"
Kura slammed his fist on the counter of a bar. He was trying to intimidate this poor bloak into telling him some information on where Yenny was. However, this guy didn't really look like he knew anything. Well this is a big waste of time he would think after apologizing to the barkeep. Kura would be dressed in a red gi and have yellow-dyed hair. He'd be pretty easy to spot!

The Land of Rain, desolate, water logged, treacherous, it was no wonder so many make or break it assassins had come out of this place. Though Claire had no real reason for being here other than a change of scenery, the small town she had located proved to at least have a place she could stock up on provisions. So she blared across the wetlands and parked her rideback outside the wall before wandering in. Far overhead her Roc, Krogger, let loose a shrill cry, circling far overhead the town, some 200 meters, the young girl wandering into the city and up to a small establishment where she shoved open the doors.

On the back of this venator was her Rifle bow, Gargantuan clip with 2 slots of Boreworm arrows on its rack, razor fletched, a stabilizer attached for further distance capability by 10%. It weight 200lb draw. It was already loaded with a broad tip razor fletched arrow. On her left hip a pistol bow 60lb, loaded with a single standard bolt. A 40lb standard recurve bow, loaded with a boreworm arrowhead bolt. Her hip quiver have another 5 1/2 slots of bolts inside. On her eyes were a pair of Thermal, night vision, times fifteen magnification. Of those 5 1/2 slots of bolts 1 slot have tipped with sting tips, one slot with 2 with Matakusi bolts tips and the rest of her broad tips applied to the slot. Leaving roughly 1 1/2 slots of regular bolts.

She likely looked rather dangerous, her pistol bow actually hanging off her hip for quick action. There was one man in particular who stuck out, also seemed to be the only one being hostile in the slightest. "There a reason you makin a ruckus in here, partner?" She put on a heavily implied westerner accent, her headband tucked away in her cloak, her zoom goggles were set to normal but the readings turned off for now to not interfere with her vision. "If there is anything to talk about, you should address it with smeone a bit more able bodied."

Outside her eagle circled, watching, waiting, searching for its master to once again become airborne.

Just as Kura was about to get up and leave, someone entered. It was a woman who seemed to have enough weaponry on her to take on a small army. Oh shit, is she law enforcement? Kura didn’t mean to get into a fight to the death, especially since he hadn’t brought any weapons himself; he had figured he would be safe enough as long as he didn’t venture too far from the village.

Kura adjusted his headband which was on his forehead in order to assert some sort of authority then walked over to the woman. “I’m looking for a girl named Yenny. She’s approximately 4 feet tall with black hair and was last seen in pink clothing.” He would then briefly hold up a picture of the girl before leaning against a nearby table.
“She was reported missing yesterday and is thought to have left the village. This is my first time having to track someone down so I’m not really sure where to start.”

Kura didn’t know why he was being so open. Perhaps his inexperience as a ninja hadn’t taught him to work in secrecy.

Whatever his name was, she was going to call him Spike Head Mcgee, seemed to find her sudden appearance rather... offhanded, like people around these parts didnt just carry a massive fucking arsenal with them everywhere. And he was right. "Well if you have a missing persons report it is probably best to ask in a proper tone before... I dunno... interrogating people? You will find they are more receptive to manners." HA HAHAHAHA! Of all the people in the world Claire should be the last one on about manners, hell, she was possible the most disrespectful thirteen year old left on the face of this planet. Buuuuuut she ad a role to play, and she played it dammit. "Have you thought of maybe bringing an animal companion to follow her scent? Talked to the family?"

This sounded like a mission, the way he adjusted his headband spoke of such, ugh what a pain in her ass this guy might turn out to be. She didn't care how open or reclusive he decided to be, it wasn't her mission, but she was damn sure going to be interesting. She noted he was a Rain ninja so as he a competent murderer or some skilled assassin? Was there even a chance that He was lying and she had fallen into some well woven web of lies? Nah. She could smell bullshite a mile away, usually.

"I til you what." She quipped in her terrible accent, jerkin her head towards the door. "I will help you locate your little damsel, in turn you can cut me off a little currency for the trouble. Six eyes are better than two and four of them are as sharp as an eagle." Outside her pet Roc circles overhead, eyes focused on the building its master had trekked into, waiting for orders. Fifty meters it descended as it waited.

Throughout the process of being lectured by a teenager, Kura rolled his eyes. He could tell that the only reason he was taking her seriously was because she was strapped. Well, maybe that wasn’t true. She did seem to have a general idea on how to go about finding Yenny which had to be better than yelling at people all day. Tracking scent eh? That’s not a bad idea. I don’t really have an animal companion though. Plus I don’t know how to track people so there’s that. It wasn’t until the girl offered to help for part of the mission reward that Kura started to get a little hopeful.

“Hmm… I’m just doing this mission so I can qualify for the Chuunin Exams. If we find her, you can have the whole mission reward if that’s what interests you. It’s 4,225 ryo which is low, but the higher ups thought this would be easy.”
Kura ruffled through his clothes in order to find the disorganized documents. He would offer miss crossbows the ‘evidence’ packet which would contain a pink bow with Yenny’s scent. Kura would then continue, “It says here that Yenny has become a big fan of planking. She started skipping school to plank in dangerous places so my only lead is that she somehow left the village in search of something precarious to plank on.”

It was possible, high possible, her trigger finger was itching something might terrible with that eye roll. Maybe a firm smack on the back of the head would really give him something to roll his eyes over... prick. But yeah he changed his tune once she was offering her help, though he didnt seem to be all that curious about just how she was having so many eyes... maybe he is just unobservant. A pink bow was produced and she looked it over slowly, getting nothing from this beside the fact it was pink. "How about we just look at things from an overhead perspective?" She piped, twisting on her heel and marching through the door out into the open space.

From overhead her eagle dropped another 50 meters, scoping, locking its sights on its master and letting out a shrill cry. "You see, I think the girl we are looking for, who is wearing a bright ass pink dress or something, wouldnt want to be around were people will see her. Lets check the outskirts of the village." Holding out a hand she smirked, goggles flashing in the sunlight. "Might want to hold my hand for this part." With a whistles the Eagle fell into a divebomb, plummeting silently as it reached terminal velocity

[Do you have both a roc and an eagle? so confused]

An overhead perspective? Good lord, I thought just had a tracking dog or something. Kura was beginning to regret asking for help already. The notion that she wanted him to mount a giant ass eagle didn’t really make him feel any more comfortable. It wasn’t that he was afraid of heights, but if he happened to fall without any metal around he might just turn into a pancake. So, Kura grasped hold of the girl’s right hand a little more firmly than necessary and made an audible gulp.
“Okay miss. I hope this works out!”

Should they make it into the air, there would be two prominent landmarks within several miles of each other that were particularly precarious. One would be a giant statue of a monk with a finger pointed into the air and the other would be a large abandoned bell tower. “There’s a good chance that she’s somewhere very high up. Now that I think about it, this might not be such a bad idea.”

[A Roc in an Eagle}

In a blink the Eagle was in the town, swooping the metal bat of its saddle into her hand and they were airborne instantly, the Eagle preforming a twist that seated er on its back and him into the saddle so he could strap in if he reaaaaally needed to. "WOOHOO!" She bellowed, goggles protecting her eyes while they coasted silently through the air. From so far up she could make out two prominent figures and behind her the passenger yelled something about high up and such. "I have no fucking idea what you said, but I am going towards that tower!"

She turned her head forward and leaned in, clicking her tongue and her massive pet turned towards the bell tower, thinking of the creepiest place she would hang out is skipping the academy, the same thing she did as a Venator in training. They would be there in literally no time, the eagle blazing through the sky without any signs of stopping. "You said her name was Yenny, right?" Who the fuck named their kid that? Yeesh, she would have skipped school too with a lame name like that.

As they blasted up into the air, Kura spoke but was not heard. This wasn't surprising, seeing as though he had no experience riding any sort of animal and slipped right off the saddle. It was all he could do to hang onto a strap as they soared over to a bell tower. Fearing the worst, Kura would sit tight and hold onto the strap like it was the only thing keeping him from certain death.

As they approached their destination, there would be something pink at the very top of the tower. As they drew nearer, it was quite apparent that there was a person at the top! Apparently Yenny's planking scheme had gone terribly wrong as her dress seemed to have snagged onto something sharp and now she was just sitting there, suspended several hundred feet in the air.
Kids these days.

Through the air they flew true like an arrow, an occasional backwards glance confirmed a very frightened Kura, which made her smile just that much harder. "Might want to be careful~" She cooed, nearly breaking her neck when she looked forward to see what that thermal blip on her goggles had been. It was likely Kura saw it too, considering she couldnt see colors at this moment. Caught on something, the little girl dangled, squirming, several hundred feet in the air, and the eagle drifted in close and began to hover in place, a very fun and nifty technique. "You must be Yenny."

At this point there was really no point in asking, but she withdrew a small bolt head and cut the little strip of pink that kept the girl stuck to the wooden planks of the destroyed BellTower floor. With a small grunt the girl landed on the back of her eagle ad they were at full capacity. Yenny had to be no younger than Claire herself. "Look...Yenny." she started off sincere, sighing and twisting around to tie her in to the saddle. "If you skip school or run off alone you will end up hurt, dead, or even worse." She jerked a finger at herself "You end up with me having to hunt you down, and you are lucky, considering most of the things I hunt, I put down."

A little scare factor. She turned around but called back to the ninja. "So uh...where are we going?"

OOC: I'll ask ryosuke to get staff to give you the money instead of me when I post in the tower.

Between his squinted eyelids, Kura could see a woman dangling from something precarious. He figured the bird lady had seen her as well and was on top of the situation.
where are we going?
"Down please!" would be Kura's response.

Once they got to the ground some way or another, Kura would offer his hand to shake. With his other hand he would reach into his pockets and pull out 4225 Ryo and offer that as well.
"I'll take her back to the village from here I guess. Although I'm sure I peed my pants, you did a good job and saved me a lot of trouble. My name is Kura, by the way! Perhaps we shall meet again!" Towards the end of his mini-speech, the Kyoudo would give a genuine smile and grasp hold of Yenny's arm.

If there was nothing else to be done, he would make his way towards the rain village.

They descended, a nod of her hooded head to the shinobi of Rain and she let them depart her Eagle for now. She had had a mind to track him honestly, for giggles and stuff, but there was no time She needed to spend this sweet Ryo.
