"One order of vindaloo curry," Aimi said to the waiter.
"Wanting to eat something spicy, eh?" the water asked, jotting down his order and trying to make small talk.
"Naturally," the genin replied, folding up his menu and handing it to the young man. "Will there be anything else for you?" he asked. Aimi shook his head and leaned back in his seat, putting his arms behind his head. The waiter walked off and Aimi looked out of the window he was sat next to, shaded from the afternoon sun by banners still proclaiming the grand opening of Crazy Dave's Curry, Sushi and Yakisoba shop, the newest restaurant in the Kusagakure apparently. He'd heard about it from a couple passing him by on the street, proclaiming how spicy the curry was and how savory the noodles were. He'd thought to himself, I like curry, and headed right over after asking where it was.
It was a quaint little shop, only a few dozen square feet in total with a set of three matching tables, each with four chairs, and a sushi bar where you could watch the chef's cooking. It was the kind of open air restaurant where the food was always fresh because it always had to be; it was in the open air. It smelled of spice and fresh fish, a strangely exotic and comforting smell to be found there in the middle of the village surrounded by grass and jungle.
In seemingly no time at all, Aimi's order was bright to his table. "One Vindaloo curry, specialty of the house," the waiter said, setting the dark red colored curry down in front of Aimi. The scent of the spicy meal wafted its way up into his nostrils and made his nose curl and his eyes water. "Thank you very much," he said as the waiter walked away. Looking at it, Aimi wasn't so sure he wanted it anymore. He hadn't even thought about ordering a drink to go with it because, honestly, he wasn't expecting it to be even remotely spicy. But this smell had him worried...
Thinking that he'd better not waste his money on something he wouldn't even try, he picked up his utensils. He dug the end of his spoon into the curry mix and could swear he heard it hiss before dragging it over to the rice and scooping up a sizable portion. Gulping, he slowly brought the spoonful up to his mouth, holding his breath as he did. He opened his maw, moved the utensil inside, and took his bite...
All was quiet for a moment or two after. Then the dam broke:
"DAMN THAT'S SPICY!"
