The chakra seemed to seep into Inoryu from the outside. He sifted through the hand seals. It ended with the hawk. He kept it and held still. He allowed the wisdom of the world to take possession and teach him the next hand seal.
"A minute has passed; nothing," he released the hand seal and leaned backwards on his hands. He took a deep breath and exhaled. Another deep breath and a slow exhale. He stood up, straight up, and sifted through the eight handseals. Eight replicas formed surrounding Inoryu facing away from him. They walked away and vanished. Inoryu summoned his illusions one more time, and he sat down to focus again on the new technique at hand. Deep breaths. Slow exhales. He shifted his hands smoothly from one hand seal to the next.
He waited on the hawk. He connected the chakra within him to the chakra outside of him by allowing it to seep through. What is the next hand seal? I know I'm not finished. There was nothing to do but wait, be patient, and enjoy the company of his mirrors, as to which he could see the backs of. Slowly his hand shifted. The seal of the rat. He released it. He felt really close to finishing this up. He stood up to attempt the technique.
It was much too hard to focus on two figments at the same time, so he dispersed his replicas first before executing again. He attempted the jutsu with the three new seals. He could feel something coming on. Replicas were slowly coming into life. He put everything he had into executing the technique, but then they dispersed all around him. I'm almost there, I know it. But I have to take a break.
He closed his eyes and patiently waited. He was snug in his hooded robe until he was ready to go again. Alright, I've regained some of my strength, and I'm really ready to learn this technique. His break wasn't long, but he was always fast to recover. He sat down alone without any replicas. He shifted his hands through the hand seals all the way to the newest one. He held the rat seal and breathed. Patient. Waiting. Calm. Comfortable. Snug and warm. It seemed that for a while, what he was feeling was all that is all that mattered. He had forgotten that he should focus on discovering the new hand seal. Then that is when it appeared. It was the seal of the hawk.
