“Oh really, where do you live?” Shenjie asked as he focused his mental energy into putting forth the second gate again in a calm manner so that he didn’t push his limits. He took a deep breath as he listened to the woman while harnessing his inner power within himself. He focused on first gently opening the first gate. After opening the first gate, he mentally focused on changing gears to open the second gate and to maintain it for as long as possible. His mind immediately went to a new life, a life that was free of the griefs of the past. A new start, a beginning of pleasure and joy, and a new way for him to become the best him he could be. He appreciated everything that had happened up to that point; however he felt this was the beginning of a new chapter in his life. This was the place where his dream would begin to take true shape, where he would be allowed to realize what he could really do, eventually becoming an opponent worthy of the woman who he had come to respect. She was definitely someone worthy of calling Sensei.

Shenjie felt the green aura wash over him again as his second inner gate opened, sending a rush of healing energy and power down his body. His muscles and ligaments were beginning to repair themselves as he felt as if he was radiating with energy. A light aura of green energy began to surround him as he did his best to focus on not only what his body was saying in regards to his limitations, but also what the woman had said. She was going back to her homeland; which was far away from his native land of earth possibly. He felt as if he would have to make a choice when the time actually came for them to decide. Would he part ways with his village and follow this woman to train under her influence and understanding, or would he choose his village and let this woman and himself choose separate paths. As his energy continued to flow rapidly, he couldn’t shake the feeling that he wanted to prove to this woman that he could one day be an opponent worthy of facing. She even seemed to express that she thought that maybe one day he would be a worthy opponent to face. Shenjie let a smile cross his face as his internal conflict began to cause his control of his gates to falter just a little bit. One could not have that.

He would need to make a choice. Would he choose himself or his village? Which one mattered more, the vicious stone or the self-bettering sensei? Shenjie sighed as he relaxed a bit as he cleared his mind of all other thoughts. He would have to make a definitive choice that would allow his future to prosper or falter. He let a smile cross his face as he decided that he would throw a curve ball, and let this woman become his new teacher. She was more than capable of doing so, and he had nothing left for the stone village with his idolized teacher dead. “Ma’am May I ask something of you?” he asked calmly as his green aura continued to blaze around his body, now much stronger than before with his determination set into his decision. He calmly let his body relax as he did his best to find where she was sitting so that he could have his eyes face her while she chose to answer or ignore his request. Shenjie felt his body pulsing with energy that he had freshly unlocked with his definitive choice. He would ask her if she would be his teacher, and mentor from this point on. She would help him understand what it meant to be a strong warrior and overall a good person. She would help him understand how to fight with heart.

“Might I request to be your student?” he asked as the ground around him began to shift with the intense energy that he was emitting. His body was holding up perfectly as he focused not only on what he was saying, but also on his body’s condition. As his body began to shake from the power of the Gate, Shenjie did not hesitate to release the gates gently so that his body would not be overdone. “I may be a fool, but I believe you can teach me how to become a worthy warrior.” He said calmly as his green aura energy began to fade again as his hair flopped back down to its regular sitting position Shenjie was steadfast in what he had chosen. He was positive that this was the right path to take, No regrets, no guilt. Shenjie was sure that this was what he wanted, to be free of the oppression that was the Stone so that he could find who he truly was as a warrior and as a man.

"I am the leader of a nation. The nation of Rain. If you are to follow me, you will have to relinquish your current attachments. You will have to accept being unable to leave the village while you prove your allegiance. If you can accept such terms, I shall allow you to grow under my tutelage."

With that said, just when she was paying the least amount of sensation, she heard a tiny voice calling out to her. Except, it couldn't quite be called a voice, as it was more of a sensation. It was calling to her from somewhere close. Searching around, the Amekage was being guided by her intuition, soon coming upon her baackpack. The girls chakra was reacting to something within the bag, and it was audibly moving around and about. As she opened the zipper to the bag, the contents were quickly moving up onto her arm as if she was magnetic. The contents that were reacting to her chakra in this cooldown period was nothing else than paper. It was sticking to her surface as if it was a living creature. This whole thing had merely been an accident. Working through so many wood techniques, some of her chakra had spilled into the paper unknowingly. 

At the current moment, it wasn't something that she had any kind of control over. Attempting to calm her own chakra down, it had seemingly no effect on the paper. Narrowing her eyes, she tried instead increasing the flow of chakra through her body - specifically the arm upon which the paper was wrapped. This too had seemingly no effect what-so-ever. Tilting her head to the side, she attempted to loosen the grasp of the paper by utilising her other hand. It simply wasn't functioning as she wanted it to. After a few moments of struggling by trying to rip the paper off, only to have it stick to the fingers on her left hand instead. "What in the.." Walking around the little wooden hut that she had created, she soon realised that whatever chakra composition she had unwittingly used to bind the paper to her, to simultaneously dispell the paper from sticking to her body. The first attempts she had made at discerning the composition required to make paper-jutsu-chakra had failed  completely and utterly. So instead she was attempting to retrace the steps she had taken when she had first accidentally initiated the paper chakra. What was it exactly that she had done the moments before feeling a strange sensation coming from her bag...

“I see…” Shenjie said as the woman declared herself to be the leader of a nation, for which resided in the land of rain. Shenjie felt his body regaining the ability to continue as he felt his chakra beginning to swell within his body. She asked of him to leave behind all that he had ever known to follow her back to her nation only to be put on a probationary period. This was only to be expected after all. Taking in a deep breath, he felt his mind focusing on his second chakra gate within his body as he mentally visualized the regret he might feel from the decision itself. If I give up the Stone, will I regret it? He asked himself mentally as he focused on getting beyond the gate itself once again like he had the two times before. Shenjie closed his eyes as he contemplated what would happen if he gave up his village. He would be able to learn what being a true warrior meant, and would be able to follow his dream; however it would put him in a possible position of betrayal. Sighing Shenjie shook the thought from his mind as his determination to follow his Warrior way became prominently clear. In that instant he felt the second gate activate as the first clicked into place, quickly followed by its second counterpart.

His aura began to glow green around his body as he chose to live with no regret for what he was about to do. He was about to forsake everything that he had ever known not for petty betterment, but to follow his warrior way, to become better than he had been the day before. The stone would never allow him such growth, thus forth he decided that he would respectfully retire from the village to go and search for his better self in the land of rain. “That sounds fair enough, I will do all that you ask.” Shenjie said as his green aura continued to blast around him in a gentle fashion. His hair swooshed up in the air as his body emitted pure energy. His body didn’t feel horrible however because he chose not to overdo himself, and to push his body’s limits. Understanding how his body felt, and how to adhere to what it desired, Shenjie already felt better than he had first been when he met this strange woman on his regular road work training. His body felt as if it was being perfected as he focused on looking forward to the future and not dwelling on the past.

I feel so…strong, Shenjie said as his body fluxgate with energy. He felt as if he could lift a ton with little penalty; however he knew better than that. Shenjie understood that even with the influence of the gates, one could only do so much. This even helped him understand that he would have to continue to think this way if he was to have any hope of becoming strong enough to prove to his new found teacher that he was worthy of her trust and tasks. “I will make you proud…Sensei.” He said calmly as he quickly began to inhale and exhale in a relaxed fashion. His chest rose and fell as his battle his own inner energy for control. He would have to fight this internal battle every time he opened the gates. He would have to make sure to only use these augmentation inner gates in situations that required him to save a comrade, or to protect his way of the warrior. That fact was for certain as he felt his body handing the gates extraordinarily well.

Shenjie opened his blind eyes as he felt his green aura blasting around him. The aura emitted pure energy as he realized that a small fire seemed to be burning in his eyes with his determination in tow. His skin was beginning to redden just a little bit as he entered the second gate and some of his muscles began to vibrate as they had to convert his kinetic energy in to heat. Shenjie would keep doing his best as the green aura slowly began to feel like too much to handle as he felt his body calling for him to deactivate the gate. Knowing that he shouldn’t push his limit, Shenjie exhaled in a relaxed fashion as the gate closed itself off without another thought. Shenjie knew that these gates could be dangerous if he was not careful. Yoshi-Sensei would surely help him monitor his limits as he continued to focus on his inner power. Shenjie was determined to find his way in the world as a man as he accepted the woman’s offer to accompany her. He wanted to do his best to prove to himself and others that he was more than just a silly Blind kid. Keeping his sightless eyes forward, Shenjie relaxed his body so that he could recover from the gates influence.

The connection to the element of paper had obviously initially occured when she had been messing around with the wood-element. Tracing backwards, she was attempting to remember when the distinction had been made exactly. Training through introspection was one of the Lady Amekage's greatest strengths. Essentially copying her own exact actions in the mere moments before the paper had started reacting to her chakra, she soon found a point where it clicked. There was a balance where the correct mixture of suiton and mokuton chakra reacted to the wavelenght that made up paper. Deep in her focus, she was determining the range of chakra within which she could control the paper. The range was incredibly small. Essentially, when it had come to Mokuton chakra, the element had reacted almost immediately as earth and water was mixed accordingly. It had been unstable and wobbly, but reacting. Paper had a much narrower margin within which it could be manipulated. It was much akin to threading a needle blindfolded. For a short moment the Lady Amekage wondered if it was even a possible prospect, but she wasn't one to doubt her instincts. This could be done, this could be mastered. The girl had already seen someone else who was capable of manipulating paper.

Now that she had the mixture figured out, she attempted to slowly reverse engineer the process that had made the paper stick to her in the first place. Initially, she reached out to the chakra that had latched itself onto the paper. Then, she very carefully picked apart the suiton and mokuton chakra, until the paper that had been helplessly glued to her hand, released its tightened grip around her arm. The sheets of paper were gently falling through the air, now completely devoid of strings that controlled them. The elemment was starting to make sense, and although this release was precise and difficult, she constantly gained confidence in her own ability to control it. Holding an open hand over the paper still slowly drifting in mid air, she manipulated her chakra to gently tug at the paper. The sheets were being pulled upwards by her control, defying gravity in favor of their puppetmaster. A smile errupted on her lips. The needled had been threaded. From here on out, it would be refining her connection and control, before learning some actual techniques.

"I have an idea. When I regain composure, I will toss these sheets of paper into the air, and attempt to move them away from you. Oppositely, you'll attempt to learn control. Grab the pieces of paper with your hands without destroying or crumbling the paper. Show that, despite the power, you can still restrain."

“Hmmm Control is important…” He said to himself as he calmly took in a deep breath once again focusing his energy back to that of the first gate itself. Shenjie began to feel himself being able to go into the second gate at will as he had overcome the obstacle of the guilt that shrouded his heart. Feeling a weight lift from his heart, Shenjie quickly felt his second gate open with a burst of green energy. The burst was slow and controlled, yet massive in the amount of power and heat that it emitted. Shenjie was extremely heat sensitive being a shitakuma, and he could feel every ounce of heat energy that emanated from his body. The pure energy that enhanced his body made him feel a bit at ease as he realized that the gate was not attempting to close itself. Shenjie realized, that the only way one could ever truly achieve these gates was by having a steadfast mind and an honest heart, or have enough will to kill that one forces their body to meet the demand for their bloodlust. Shenjie was relieved that he was among the latter members of the celestial art as his body began to feel the warm caress of his body’s own heat. Shenjie then contemplated how he would capture the pieces of paper with his gate active.

“I think maybe we should try it without the gate first…you know since I don’t want to burn myself out too quickly.” Shenjie said as the green burst of energy continued to flow around him like an aura of sorts. Shenjie let a smile cross his face as he thought about meeting the demand for the challenge without the help of the gate. He wanted to prove that even without his wonderful mental body pressure, he could still perform tasks, and even practice how he moved by doing so. Shenjie then nodded his head in agreement to his own statement. “It’s best to do it that way so that I can practice the feeling of restraining myself at a basic level first before going all out with a gate active…” Shenjie said as he thought about trying to restrain his fast moving arm with an intense amount of power behind it. It sounded like something that should be built up like steps. “I think we should ease into doing that, and just start with the basics, what do you say to that Sensei?” He asked throwing a thumbs up and a goofy smile that twinkled even through the green glow of his energy aura.

Shenjie would agree with this woman whether she thought it was a good idea or not. His energy flow slowly molded to his command as he closed first the second then the first gates so that his body would have some time to relax and rebuild. “I’m ready” Shenjie said getting into a boxing stance. His plan was to use quick jabs to capture at least 10 pieces of paper the first time. With that Shenjie exhaled and prepared himself to either throw himself into a gate once again or practice catching paper solo.

Nodding in compliance with his preparation, the Amekage grabbed hold of her pouch with several sheets of paper. Then, without much warning, she tossed it into the air, having all the different sheets of paper divide themselves up, flickering in every which direction. From there, the scarlet eyes watched Shenjie, as she folded a single seal to maintain contact with the paper. Then began a small battle between the two. The goal of Shenjie would be to grasp the papers without crumbling or causing damage to them, perfecting his control of the usage of the gates. For the girl however, it became a question of controlling mulitple pages of paper against the onslaught and speed of a gate user. A challenge for both of them, but for completely different reasons. As Shenjie prepared himself to use flickering japs, the girl gestured with her hands. Keeping her eyes on the paper, and her focus at its limit, she was essentially attempting to treat all twenty papers like a cluster of fish. When the predator struck into the centre, every piece of paper moved towards him and attempted to circle him, gathering itself up in a tighter grouping on the other side of him. Essentially the Lady Amekage was learning to control multiple sheets of paper somewhat individually, by treating two clusters as seperate groups.

It quickly became apparent to her, that two singular groups of paper wouldn't be enough to evade him. As far as she could tell, he had already caught at least one sheet of paper. Wheter he had done so in a controlled fashion where the paper didn't break, she wasn't sure. Even so, she split the grouping of paper into three different columns this time. One attempting to escape him in a flurry on the left side, and one attempting to escape him in a flurry on the right. Then, the final flurry of papersheets attempted to escape his grasp by running through his legs. The girls control was getting better and better, but ultimately, she was still learning. In their escapes, some of the paper touched the ground and got stuck in the grass. Unaware of how much paper made it past him this final time, the lady Amekage lowered her hands, relinquishing control over the sheets of paper. Now she had begun truly digging into the element. Taking control was becoming easier, and influencing the paper was becoming possible too. Content, she looked to Shinjie.

"How did it go for you? Did you figure out how you overcome your lack of control, when you gained the increase in raw power?" Tilting her head to the side, she was smiling warmly. Once again, it was clear it wasn't a competition between the two, as much as they were assisting each other grow more competent in their fields.

Description: The speed jab is a variant in which the user takes the time to make fast pacing attacks making the jab come out and attack an opponent much faster. When the user first learns this technique they are able to jab twice in a single movement with their forward hand only performing jabs. When the user then learns the "B" rank version of this technique the user is able to attack three times in a single movement with their lead hand only performing jabs. When the user learns the "A" rank version of this attack the user is able to attack four times in a single movement with their lead hand only performing jabs.
Limit: Must learn in a gym that teaches Bokushingu (Boxing), Must know the Four Punching Basics.

“Right!” Shenjie said with determination as he prepared to extend his arm to catch the pieces of paper that would surely begin to fly around him accurately. Remember, your goal is ten pieces right now, he reminded himself as he felt that a sudden swirl of paper was coming on. Preparing his body, he got into an orthodox boxing stance; which would prepare him to throw jabs at the paper to grasp them quickly. He quickly began to stand on his toes as he prepared to throw his left jabbing arm forward towards the first piece of paper. Got this one, He thought to himself as he quickly extended his arm out in a customary jab that quickly shot towards the piece of paper at a fairly decent rate. He gauged that he could probably throw quite a few jabs towards the pieces as they began to swirl around him. He extended his arm forward as fast as he could as he reached out for one of the pieces of paper came within his grasp. Opening his hand as he extended forward, Shenjie focused on the snapping motion of his wrist and hand as well as moving his shoulder with the punch as he prepared to close his hand around the paper. Would he be faster than Yoshi-sensei’s paper though? Shenjie wondered if he would be fast enough to catch the paper, and hoped that his jab would have enough speed to intercept the paper target.

“So, does this homeland of yours have any boxing gyms Sensei? Shenjie asked as he quickly felt his hand clasp around one of the pieces of paper in his hand. I got one! He thought in excitement as he felt it quickly slip from his grasp. Damn it, I wasn’t fast enough, Shenjie thought as he continued to listen to how the paper slips moved so that he could quickly move to capture the pieces accurately. Quickly launching another jab forward at an extremely fast speed, Shenjie quickly felt his arm extend once again into a jab faster than normally. In fact the wrist motion and extension of his strong shoulder muscles made it much more viable to get his arm moving. When his arm extended for the paper this time, Shenjie opened his hand as if to grasp for the paper; however, he would not close his fist until near the moment of impact. This made for a marvelous display as his arm began to utilize that concept to close his fist quickly to keep the paper from floating away.

As his hand clasped down, Shenjie felt the paper softly in his hand as he quickly extended his arm out again in the same fashion. This is actually pretty fun, Shenjie thought to himself as he quickly jabbed, feeling another piece of paper join the already existing piece. He was excited that his jabs were actually becoming somewhat effective. With each new jab he reached for another piece of paper. Occasionally he felt his arm just jab at air as he felt it either miss or the paper would escape his grasp. The good news was that he was still jabbing fast enough to capture some of the pieces of paper that floated about. She truly was getting better at controlling the paper; however Shenjie was doing the same with his punches. “Gah! I need to be faster.” He said calmly as he reached out, not attempting to crush the paper with his grasp, but to simply snag it with his hand so that he could caress it with his hand. Shenjie was moving so fast and yet keeping a light and simple composure as he continued to throw jabs at the pieces of paper in attempt to capture as many as he could without crumpling or harming the paper itself.

I’ve got six right now, that’s not bad, just keep it up Shenjie thought to himself as he encouraged moving not only faster, but with a degree of control that would allow him to think while being pressure like he was. As two pieces of paper floated right in front of his blind face, Shenjie quickly knew what he would have to do. Extending his arm forward, Shenjie quickly grasped for the first piece, getting a flawless connection as the paper ended up inside of his palm…just as he had expected. As soon as his arm returned to a ready posture, Shenjie quickly extended a second jab at an almost blinding rate of speed. He found the second piece of paper in his grasp as well; which to him was a victory all on its own. “I can do it!” he shouted as he quickly began to rapidly jab at two more pieces of paper, ending up with two more in his hand. “I did it, did you see that?!” he said excitedly as he opened his hand to count how many he had captured. “See, One, two….Ten, I got Ten!” he said with excitement as he quickly felt his hand gently hold the paper in place.

Looking to Shenjie, she merely nodded softly. Naturally, the training wasn't exactly in her favor. Trying to control paper, a completely new element, against someone who was moving at the speed of the gates, wasn't a complete joke. Returning to her thought process, she visualised the little exchange between the two. It seemed that the paper that was meant to cross close by his face hadn't been close enough. Naturally, this was to be expected as long as she was lacking control. The Amekage had been afraid of passing the paper too close to his eyes, as it could eventually result in a paper cut. Even if a papercut was something most people would laugh at, if said papercut was done to the eye it could lead to blindness and severe pain. As such, because her control wasn't flawless, and because she lacked confidence in her own unpolished abilities, she had hesitated. That which was in her heart was hesitation out of fear. Fear for hurting Shenjie. Biting her lip, there was someone present whom she wasn't afraid of hurting; Herself. As such, before she started responding to what Shenjie had to say, she wanted to make sure her control was where she needed it to be.

Latching her chakra onto the paper that was resting peacefully on the forest floor, she pulled them up into the air with nothing but her chakra. Holding a finger up into the air, and swiping left as if she was selecting through different menus, the paper started rotating in the same direction as her finger was swiping. Faster and faster they went, until the papercuts would've been absolutely brutal. Then, without any hesitation or fear, she pulled her hand towards herself, keeping her eyes completely open. This was the Amekage essentially pronouncing her trust in her own abilities and skill to learn. All the spinning paper soared towards her face, as she directed the papers with just her chakra and her eyes. It was as if a small area right in front of her eyes had become a safe-zone, for when the paper reached so far, it bend off at the very last moment. All ten pieces of paper fluttered around her, passing narrowly by her face and eyes, before landing on the ground behind her. As long as she did not hesitate, as long as she did not fear, she had the control to make techniques out of paper function.

"The land of Rain has plenty of gyms. While we are a peaceful nation, we realise that we live in conflicted times. Being prepared to defend, or if neccesary, attack, is what it means to live." It was strange being called sensei by someone whom she hadn't truly exchanged much else with than a little training. The fact that he had devoted himself to her without fear however, was quite an interesting prospect.

Peek-a-Boo

Effect: The peek-a-boo guard is a defensive style that is extremely popular with professional and amateur boxers. This type of guard is also commonly known as ‘the earmuffs’.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Picture To adopt an effective peek-a-boo position, hold your hands next to each other in front of your face. Keep your elbows tight against your body whilst maintaining a relaxed stance. This guard will minimize damage from direct strikes to the head but it is a difficult guard from which to mount a counter-attack. The main drawback to the peek-a-boo is that it leaves the boxer vulnerable to hooks from the opponent. The peek-a-boo defensive style is especially suitable for shorter fighters. This is primarily because shorter boxers have shorter arms and are therefore able to gain more leverage in looping punches. Furthermore, shorter fighters will be able to cover the gaps in the guard position more effectively. Taller fighters, who will presumably have longer torsos, are more vulnerable to strikes on the body than shorter boxers. This is not to say that they should avoid employing the peek-a-boo guard but they should always be more aware of this increased vulnerability. NOTE: Only works when the user is in the Peek-a-Boo guard position. When first learned this technique gives the Armour a hardness of a 20 against Bludgeoning Damage. “I’m glad, I need to stay in my best shape after all,” Shenjie said with a chuckle as he watched the paper he had been holding float away. He deactivated the second gate, and then focused on putting his guard up. It wouldn’t have been because he was in danger of anything at the time; however a solid guard was extremely important. Taking his forearms and placing them together so that his hands were up by his face while his arms protected his body, Shenjie focused on making a solid guard that would allow him to be protected while he performed his boxing maneuvers. It was not the tightest of guards, and even shenjie knew that it could have been easily broken if someone had wanted to bust through it. Thinking back to when he had first learned to protect himself with his gloves and his arms, he realized that the guard implemented concepts from both of the categories to provide him with a greater range of protection. His eyes peeked over his knuckles as he raised his guard to protect his face from possible blows that could be hurling his way. Of course they would never come, and in fact he felt fairly safe with this woman around who could manipulate what felt like wood and sounded like paper.

“You’re really quite something.” He said with a chuckle as he kept his guard raised up to further get the feeling for the motion. If he had had some boxing gloves on, he would have been biting the thumbs of the gloves to keep his hands at the right level. His fingers were curled in towards his chin as he bobbed from side to side. He hoped that his odd motions weren’t worrying Yoshi-sensei any, he was just trying to get the fell for the movements. Closing off his ears to the sounds around him and seemingly closing his useless eyes, Shenjie quickly visualized an opponent before him. He was boxing his shadow as he extended a quick jab from the blocking guarded position. Shenjie weaved back and forth, ducking and dodging as he visualized his opponent delivering blows to his arms. His shield that was the peek a boo guard met the blows head on as he kept his guard in place. Suddenly he awoke from his trance like dance with his opponent. “So when do we leave?” Shenjie asked as he prepared his body, mind, and soul for their travel to a new land.

Stretching her hands out, the paper was fluctuating rather rapidly. The five pieces of paper were moving away from her body, and as soon as she felt she was losing contact with them, she pulled them back, somewhat investigating her current competence and control over the element. Gesturing with her hands, the paper was twirling around itself, each of the pieces of paper essentially becoming like a moth in the night. A curious development, and she was somewhat enthralled by the moving papers. Almost as if they were alive. Concentrating hard on the faint glimmer of pressence that she felt from the pieces of paper, the Lady Amekage was constantly trying to pressure the boundaries, learning to control the paper further and further away from her own body. The range was constantly increasing. The movement of the paper was completely in synch with her breathing. Every time the girl took a breath, the paper pulled towards her core, towards her as the epicenter. Every time she breathed out, the paper expanded away from her, almost giving off the illusion of being connected to a heart.

When the Lady Amekage reached about the ten meter mark however, the paper was met with the walls of the hut. This was as far as she could push her limits while remaining inside. To continue training, she would have to go outside. Turning her attention then towards her new companion, she nodded. "..We'll probably have to wait with our travels till the morning. I wish not to be on the road in the darkness. Despite my competence, I much prefer ways of non-conflict." Smiling, she made a gesture with two fingers on her right hand, as her left hand opened itself up. The pieces of paper all flickered through the air and landed in her open palm in a neat pile. Control was alpha omega, in everything. Concerning her own abilities with paper, she would soon reach a level where more complex techniques could be learned. It was somewhat fascinating. Paper was a lot like her sand, in that its limit seemed determined only by the fantasy and willingness to explore of the paper user. When she had stood by Ace Debutler's side all those years ago, the paper had made her feel so safe. Now she questioned wheter the future would bring about reconciliation, or conflict...

Effect: Multiple attacks in a single round attack as the user attacks the jaw with a right left motion, not stopping until the opponent is down, or the user simply stops.

Description: Picture Named after its creator, heavyweight champion Jack Dempsey, the Dempsey Roll is a maneuver that combines both offense and defense by dodging while delivering punches at the same time. The boxer continually bobs and weaves, with the head swaying in a rolling figure 8 motion and uses the momentum of the entire body to deliver powerful blows side to side from the opponent's blind spots. Fighters who step forward and close that gap are able to reduce the damage and may be able to prematurely stop the Dempsey Roll prematurely by brushing into the attacker. While it is especially deadly against those who step back and allow the attacker the room required to maintain the swaying motion needed to slam in these punches, if the opponent were to step back far enough, he would be able to see the oncoming attacks clearly and they would become just like regular Hooks. When the user attacks with their left and right using their hook attacks it counts and equals to one movement. The amount of hits is only equal to the amount of movements the user can perform.

“Hmm Okay then…I guess we will settle down here for the evening then.” Shenjie said as he quickly clamped his peek a boo Guard up to his face. Shenjie began to feel his body sway as he closed his blind eyes and began to visualize something Goki had shown him long ago. Moving in a figure eight motion while he used his feet and strong leg muscles to keep his balance, he began to feel the sway of the bobbing and weaving motion as he practiced the maneuver as he had many times before with his beloved Goki-Sensei. Jack Dempsey eh? Shenjie thought to himself as he felt his body gaining momentum as he bobbed and weaved at a steady rhythm. This tempo that he created was perfectly his own as he didn’t feel pressured by any combatants that might want to attack him It was just him and the motions as he swayed back and forth, beginning to pick up speed as he began to advance towards the air. He would make sure to do his best not to hurt his shoulders and legs as he pressed himself onward towards a nonexistent target. He focused on the rotational momentum build up as he advanced forward with the dodging and attacking might of a beast yet unfolded. He didn’t need the assistance of the gates to express how much power his punches were about to throw as he approached a tree that he would use to unleash his powerful punch.

“Jack Dempsey, a famous Heavyweight who created a technique that involved both attacking and defending.” Goki explained as he allowed Shenjie to get the feel for the bobbing and weaving motion that would be required to perform the final resulting Dempsey roll. “You’re a small fighter, which gives you the ability to pull this off…not many fighters can” Goki-Sensei explained as Shenjie rolled his body around side to side. His momentum continued to build up as he felt himself gaining speed. “That’s the way, just keep up that figure eight motion.” Goki said as Shenjie focused on his feet to make sure his balance was still stable. He was surprised that he had been moving the way he was supposed to right off the bat. The movements that were normally required resolved themselves with the momentum as he prepared to weave and strike a set of dummies at the same time. Shenjie believed in his abilities as he approached the first target. He shifted his shoulder to the side as he used the punches momentum and the momentum to not only strike the target, but also move to the side to avoid the target. It was an attack, and dodge all in the same movement. Shenjie felt the impact upon his fist as he rolled to the other side making a loop like bob as he shifted his weight towards the other dummy that he was faced. With.

Shenjie took in a deep breath as he swung his free arm now using the momentum of the shifting of his own dodging weight to strike the next dummy just as he had the first. The strike itself had a lot of power and the shock was visible from behind the wooden figure; however, Shenjie’s feet got mixed up as he tripped in the middle of the momentum. He flung himself forward as he prepared to swing at the next, third target. His swing was wide because of his footwork blunder and it missed its mark. “That would have been a landed counter you fool.” Goki-sensei scolded as he recovered his balance. This Dempsey whatever was definitely a useful tool to use in a boxing match, and maybe even out on the field. The perfect mix of offense and defense, Shenjie thought as he clamped his fist and brought it up to his blind gaze. “I’ll perfect this punch, so that I can become stronger.” He said as he quickly got back into position to attempt again what he had failed to do the first time. He was persistent as he continued to practice the rolling punch motion over and over and over again.

Shenjie felt his feet moving just as he wanted them to as his speed and momentum picked up. There was no stopping him now as he prepared to unleash a deadly barrage unto the tree that he was now ducking and weaving towards. His punches began swinging as he quickly threw one punch before ducking his body down, following the momentum of the punch’s figure eight patterned motion. Shenjie was doing his best to throw powerful hits as the back shock could be seen through the tree as he continued to duck and weave while throwing the monstrous blows that followed its momentum to gain the power they had. “Yoshi-Sensei, How can I help prepare for our overnight stay?” He asked as sweat rolled down his brow with every momentum driven punch he landed. His small body type and heavy hitting made it possible for this attack to really do some damage if he wanted it to. Quickly using the built up momentum to throw a finishing destructive right, Shenjie retired from the hits before he hurt himself and walked back towards his teacher with a calm manner as if he had not done anything strange at all.

Standing around with her hands crossed, she was thinking. It was strange because she herself was always properly prepared to be in the wilds. Ever since she had been a missing nin, surviving on her own had been relatively easy. "I'm not sure. For the most part, I am prepared. Simply sort out what you need, and we'll be fine. Either case, I'm going outside to get a campfire started, and get a little more practice. If you could catch some fish, or some wild, we could cook it by the fire."Stepping out through the door in the wooden creation, she looked around for a few moments, before finding herself a small open spot that would be perfect for a campfire. Creating the campfire itself didn't take long, and soon the bright flames were reflected in the scarlet eyes of the Amekage.

Looking at her open palm, she knew a thing or two about paper creations. It had been a strange passtime of her own when she had been deadly sick as a child. All she had had was books to read, and paper to draw upon and fold. Now was a different matter however, as the paper needed to be folded solely by her chakra. If she wanted to utilise paper in the same way as Ace Debutler, she needed to be so tuned to her own creations that it didn't matter what she needed to fold or create, it could all be done within a few instants. Looking to the paper in her palm, the chakra took base at the surface of her skin, pouring into the paper from several different angles. Controlling it much in the manner that she would be controlling sand, the first step to controlling advanced creations, was making the paper fold itself cleanly down the middle. Guiding her own chakra to the very corners of the paper, she slowly had the chakra close towards each other, as if the paper was the jaws of an animal. Mere moments later the piece of paper was standing up vertically in her hand, folded perfectly down the middle. Smiling to herself, she then thought of a creation that one could make out of a single sheet of paper: A paper air-plane.

The paper unfolded itself again, creating the characteristic lines of a paper plane. One by one, the folds were forming themselves as a response to her chakra rotating through the substance. Mere moments later, all of the folds had happened. Unlike when she had been attempting to fold the paper with her fingers, these folds were concise, sharp, precise and perfect. The paper had folded as if it was an extension of the girls own body, rather than an object being manipulated. Giving it a little work, she allowed her chakra to take hold, as she removed her hand from the paper airplane. Then, gently, with only her chakra, the plane was launched into the air, flying softly through the air, majestically. Watching it with her scarlet eyes, she was smiling to herself. This brought back memories of a time where the Amekage had been an innocent little girl, dreaming of flying. Now she was capable of that, and so, so much more.

“Alright Yoshi Sensei” Shenjie said bowing respectfully before hurrying off towards the river that he heard off in the distance. “Sighing with relief, Shenjie quickly decided that he would have to mentally calm himself and focus if he was to have any hope of catching a fish without the assistance of chakra molding suiton or plain fishing gear. Shenjie came up to the cool flowing river calmly as he rolled up his work out pants and stepped into the cold winter stream as fish swam about carefree for the moment being. Shenjie would need to mentally focus in on the fish if he was to have any hope of achieving his goal of out maneuvering the fairly fast little snots. Taking a deep breath Shenjie closed his blind eyes once again so that he could meditate on his power over the fish. He was faster than the fish, there was no question. “I am faster” He mentally repeated over and over again as he prepared himself to move faster than he had ever moved before. The emptiness that was his meditative state blanked out everything but himself and the fish he was going to attempt to catch. Half of the battle was mental after all, and he couldn’t let Yoshi-Sensei down.

He suddenly felt a strange sensation wash over his body as he began to doubt his ability to be able to do the task that was at hand. “What if I’m not fast enough?” He mentally argued back and forth as his mind did its best to throw him for a loop. Honestly he should have been much more confident than he was beginning to feel as he began to feel his mind defeating him. Shenjie began to feel fairly weak because of this losing mental battle as he failed to see that he was capable of doing the task that he had only moments before committed himself to do. All it took was commitment and the heart to believe in one’s self to complete the task as Shenjie exhaled calmly attempting to recollect himself from the beginning of his defeated stature. “Fool…” He heard Yoshi-sensei’s voice echo within his memory as he remembered the woman’s tone of voice as she spoke to him only a while before. She had been so sure of herself in those moments, and Shenjie really admired that. Taking a deep breath Shenjie quickly did his best to take on the same façade.

When attempting mental readiness; however, a façade is not all one needs. The confidence must be genuine for any effect to take place. Shenjie was about to give up as he felt his body beginning to resist the assistance of his inner energy when suddenly he heard his teachers voice again, this time echoing something different. “Why don’t you try putting heart into it?” He heard the voice tell him as he quietly felt himself beginning to blush with embarrassment. He felt like such a fool for not thinking of the dedication and heart it would take to capture fish with one’s fists. It took guts, and overall it took the will to try. “I have to try,” He mentally told himself as he opened his blind eyes preparing for the task that was ahead of him. He hoped that his mental determination and ability to keep himself motivated would keep him going as he exhaled preparing to attempt catching a fish.

“I’m ready” He said quietly as he began to use his tremor sense to feel the fish flowing around him in the water. His mind was set on the one task ahead of himself as he dedicated himself to being prepared. He would not act like a fool any longer. He would put his heart into every grab, even if it was just to catch fish, Shenjie thought to himself as he prepared his body for the speed that he would have to exert in order to catch at least one fish. Difficult as it was probably going to be, Shenjie feared not. His face read a calm sense of readiness as he quickly took his hand and cocked it back as if he were going to be throwing a jab. Shenjie’s face didn’t look like that of a fool’s but more resembling that of a warrior preparing for battle. This fight, like every fight, was going to be the fight of his life. It was him against the fish, hunger being the cost as he was mentally prepared for the task that awaited him.

Guiding the paper airplane around in the air with a level of finesse that was constantly improving, soon she flicked her fingers downwards and had the paper essentially go into a dive, directly into the fire. Keeping her chakra laced to the paper, she blinked for a short moment. There was a short moment in time where the paper seemed to be repelling the flames of the fire. It had been so short that she barely noticed, but it seemed like mastery over paper may even grant unique resistances to elements that would normally decimate paper. Curiously she turned her gaze to the paper in hand. For now, resistance to other elements was out of the question. Instead, she needed to focus on what was at hand, mastering more complex shapes of origami. This time, she wanted to create a small bird. A paper swan, out of a single sheet of paper. First, a corner of the paper started moving itself into the shape of the beak, as the paper warped, twisted and folded itself over. Immediately after the beak had been made, the paper folds immediately closest to the beak started taking shape like the swans head. The girl was staring intensely at the paper that was folding itself within her palm, the scarlet eyes taking no moment of reprieve. With her increased control she could feel the limits of the paper; Knew where it was weakest, where it could tear, if she wasn't careful.

After the head of the swan had been made, the paper started folding naturally into the body of the paper swan. It needed to be thicker than any other part of the creation, or the swan wouldn't be able to stand on its own. From the body came the wings. The most delicate part of the process, as the wings needed to have several layers to properly resemble the feathers on this magnificent bird. Calm, collected, the chakra took form after the image that she bore within her mind. As her chakra took shape, the paper followed, obeyed her commands. Shortly after, the bird had been folded completely. A piece of art that would usually take at least half an hour to create, she had managed to formm in the matter of a handful of minutes. It was impressive what the mind could do. A shame the hands so often fumbled at creating said visions.

Letting go of the paper swan, she moved two fingers up and down in a rhythmic pace. The wings of the swan beat up and down, seemingly controlled only by her gestures. Flying around the campfire, she adjusted the angle of the wings until the origami bird flew over and landed on her shoulder. With a soft smile, she started looking around, wondering where her foolish apprentice had run off to. "Shenjie, what are you doing? Did you get us any food?" Truth be told, of course Yoshi had resources to consume if she needed to, but letting the boy manage himself would likely bolster his confidence for the future. If he was going to be a part of Amegakure, he needed to be strong, fiercely loyal and a competent shinobi. Otherwise he'd never leave once he had gotten outside, as he wouldn't gain the trust of her people.
