Sense of Apathy
Expectations. From his youth, his biological father gave him high expectations. From learning the human body perfectly at the age of 5 to dressing and prepping the bodies in his father's morgue. This gave him a sense of doing everything right as soon as possible or it will lead to failure or extreme punishment. With only his father taking care of him during his youth, he was emotionally conditioned to have an air of apathy towards the way of life. No tears for the dead, no mourning the dead, sight of blood, sight of death, sight of children alone, to be indifferent towards all those things. What mattered was your objective and your career, nothing else. So with this emotional conditioning he undertook, led him to regard his emotions around other people. When he is around other people, besides himself, he immediately shuts down any visage of emotion, in order to dissolve any weakness one may pry from expressing them
With confrontations with authority figures, he doesn't speak unless spoken to, or ordered to by someone of higher rank than himself. With close friends he breaks apart the mask of apathy and lightens up a bit. His humour tends to be dry and strange compared to most.
with this mask broken, his inner child tends to be unleashed, pouting softly and close body contact that pops any comfort zone with anyone.
Awkwardness
When the caravan of merchants came to save the remaining villagers he was from, He was adopted by a loving couple. Whenever he did something right and extremely well, and they tried to praise him, he always shied away with a sense of modesty. This was from the harsh expectations that he went through, never gaining an ounce of approval only reprimanded. Now, he just stays quiet and confused when someone gives praise.
With the lack of a social environment, he lacks the tact and grace that comes with kids that grew up with one another gets from socializing. With this in mind, Elfen tends to stay quite around others, in and out of his mask of apathy, he just does not know how to react when people praise him. But once that bubble is popped, and a relation is formed, that awkwardness goes away significantly.
Carefree
With the couple not knowing how to handle Elfen, they gave him a rather large birth when it came to roaming and doing what he wanted. There was a small point where a small waterfall cascaded down into the river near their village. With the feel of the breeze and the crashing noise of the waterfall, gave him a sense of relaxation and carefree feelings. Only when he is alone or truly comfortable with the people he is around, will he show this side of himself.
Alone, the mask he puts up diminishes completely, his personality does a 180 and his true persona comes out. A true friend or partner, who takes the time to widdle down his front, and modesty, see the true him, someone who cares about the beauty of nature, someone who cares for his friends, someone who will do anything to accomplish his goals.
Likes and Dislikes
His enjoyment comes from being alone, surrounded by the ambient flow of energy that nature gives off. Puppies, small animals, anything cute, becomes a bane, to were he gushes out of character and ferociously pets and coddles the cute animal in question. This leads towards awkward moments for the pet owner or people who see him like this. Even though his father forced him to work on the bodies of the dead, he finds it relaxing to take out body parts, store them, and then proceed to embalm and cosmetically appeal the body for preparation. Any goal he is focused on, rather he likes or dislikes the task, he must and will always enjoy the thrill and satisfaction that accomplishing that goal to the fullest potential it could be.
His dislikes, people who harm the small animals he thinks are adorable and cute. Once, an owner kicked a small puppy onto a street for stealing a few scrapes from his stall. He was never found again. A tuft of midnight blue hair resides on his thin-oval like head. Its length goes past his ears just a touch, with bangs that is swept together in a V-like shape to keep out of his eyes. Piercing blue eyes are highlighted by slight bags underneath his eyes from countless restless nights and stress. His face is rarely graced with a smile, usually only a neutral look or a grimace.
His stature and physique is nothing compared to a macho man, but more or a petite dancer that is guided by the breeze and flows elegantly down a roaring river. With height only being five feet and nine inches, his weight only boasts to be a mere hundred and thirty pounds. Body lithe and somewhat toned due to constantly walking and carrying bodies to and from the hospital to the morgue.
He wears a tight dark blue v-neck shirt, that is on top of a dark green mesh wire armour for slight protection against attacks and the elements. Elfen adorns the standard dark hue garments that has his village headband strapped around his left leg and butt pouch on his right side.
Background
Day of Birth
The day he was born, it was on a full moon, with clouds drifting to and from the existence of the light given off from the celestial being. His mother was a follower of an old group of Worshipers of Nature. His father agreed to undergo the tradition her side of the family did to their newborn babies, have a blessing of an element, since his sister did not get the blessing. Five monks were there for the birth of Elfen. Each one was blessed and worshiped a specific element, Fire, Wind, Lightning, Earth, and Water. One by one, they came up to the crying infant to attempt to share their element's blessing, the fire monk went, he walked away shaking his head, as did the Earth and Lightning Monks. But the Wind and Water Monks stayed and baptized the infant with their respective element, Wind and Water, who will look after him for his life. Later, his mother died due to difficulties.
Age of 4 to 9
As Elfen grew old enough to speak, walk and comprehend reading, his father shoved content of the human anatomy, onto the young boy. Weeks went by, harsh testing and knowledge of the human body was shoved onto him constantly. Finally, he was able to fully comprehend, and due practical motions to any part of the human body. The father took him constantly to pick up bodies and different hospitals. What he saw was gruesome, children being orphaned, people suffering extreme pain, and people dying in front of him. But he wasn't able to show any emotion towards these events, he was conditioned to ignore and hollow out any remorse, regret, mourning, pity, and sympathy for these actions. At the age of nine, Elfen was working on a body, carefully dissecting the lower torso do extract the guts of the victim. His location was in a hidden alcove to prevent people from grave robbing the bodies, but load clashes, voices and screams could be heard on the outside. He squashed his curiosity and continued on working on the body till dawn, when the noise left. He left the alcove and saw a bloody massacre. Bodies where burned, woman and men were naked, likely raped, with their throats cut open. All he could do was stare. Other survivors were crying and screeching and all he did was walk past everything.
A caravan or merchants passed by the village and took in the remanding survivors, including himself. A loving couple wound up taking Elfen in and attempt to give him a loving home.
A loving home was what they gave, but what he went through in his younger years were already ingrained, he was anti-social, quiet and short with people. At the age of 13, he wanted to prove his existence, may it be anything, so he went after the Takigakure, to become a ninja, hopefully to get what he needed.

Description: The ninja gathers air with his hands and mixes it with chakra, by doing this he transforms them into sharp and deadly needles. The needles are almost invisible so it is hard for the enemies to see them. This technique may be blocked by large objects, however something small such as a sword, or a staff will allow the needles to seperate still moving towards the object it was originally sent to. Not a powerful technique as the user is capable of hurling up to ten senbon wind needles that gives out minor cuts. However this could be used as a more of a set up technique to allow the user to perform a more dangerous technique.

For instance, a user with this technique could wield a Great Sword as a 1-handed weapon, or they could wield a large great sword as a 2-handed weapon. The weapon still deals its normal amount of damage.
