Sorry for the late response, Halloween party planning at the winery I work at and what not.
Just for future reference, I can ignite but my hardness is over the damage I take from Ultraviolet I. E. direct sunlight or like damage.
For reference:
Ultraviolet Allergy
Rank: "C"
Type: Augmentation
Effect: Ultraviolet light burns the user's flesh and causes it to ignite.
Special: To perform: 12 hours; Duration: Permanent
Drawback: ---
Description: Drawback - Gives Back 3 Augmentation Points. Ultraviolet light (including direct sunlight) burns the user for 12 Armour Points of Fire damage per round and causes any light, flammable clothing they are wearing to ignite.
Limit: Must be a Ritualist for Augmentation Rituals.
Cost: Market Price: 9,000 Ryo Performing Price: 2,000 Ryo
So with your technique:
Sun Strike
Rank: "B"
Skill: NinJutsu
Effect: A Vampire Hunter can imbue their weapon the power of the sun.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: A Vampire Hunter can infuse a single weapon they wield with the purifying light of the sun within the time length of performing a Jutsu for a number of rounds per day equal to 5 per Class Level. These rounds do not need to be consecutive. While a weapon is infused with the sun, it deals 6 points of damage to any creature that is susceptible or vulnerable to sunlight, including many times of undead (particularly spectres, vampires, and wraiths). This additional damage also applies to oozes and fungus-based monsters. A weapon infused with sun strike sheds illumination as if it were a sunrod.
Limit: Must be a Venator. Must be a Vampire Hunter.
Equals 12+6=18
Plus the rank of the skill backing up the attack:
Rapid Reload (Standard) [50 lb Draw if it matters]
Rank: "C"
Skill: TaiJutsu/Supplementary
Effect: The user may reload a Crossbow at half the time than normal.
Special: ---
Drawback: Must learn per Crossbow Type.
Description: User should learn this technique first beforehand if they wish to user the crossbow. Normally it takes a 2 movements to load a most Crossbows or 4 movements to load a Rifle Crossbow. With this technique the user may load most Crossbows within 1 movement, or a Rifle Crossbow within 2 movements. User must learn per type of Crossbow. Example: User learns technique 1 time for Pistol Crossbow. User learns technique a 2nd time for Rifle Crossbow.
Limit: Must be a Marksman. Must have a Crossbow.
C rank is 40 armor point damage
But it is range attacks so:
Depending on the rank of Main weapons depends on the power of the weapon. A Main weapon’s rank equals half of a technique’s power. This means that if a weapon is “C” Rank it Does 20 Points worth of Damage plus the technique that backs up the weapon. The same may be said with "Secondaries" however all Secondaries are treated at "C" Ranks regardless of actual rank unless it is a specialized item (Item with techniques).
- Armor takes half damage from Ranged attacks and weapons. Divide the damage by 2 before applying it to the armor’s Hardness (see below for Hardness).
- Any Weapons Thrown produces half damage. For more extra strength there is a need of techniques to boost the capability and power.
- Any weapon used to pierce and is being held in hand deals full strength of damage against armor.
- Special Occasions – Some Techniques may state they go through so much creation. Some techniques have the capability of going through houses, and even metal. These techniques are rare and few and are unlikely to be accepted from now on. These “Special Occasions” can bypass Points, as well as the Hardness of a piece of armor (see below for Hardness).
adding the two techs before and this previous one the total would be 38
minus my hardness 18 equaling 20.
All in all I would have taken 20 points to my armor.
But of course I did do reverse time so should have been healed right away.
Just to let you know how some of that would have played out. I mite not be 100% but I bet I am pretty close on my figures here.
As Godric Shunshined from back around the pillar he noted that his attackers were missing. Such a disapointment. This fiasco was starting to put a slight strain on him. He looked at the Monk standing there with a slight smile. I Godric on the other hand was not smiling, in fact he had a serious scowl on his face. Not happy for sure and he was hungry still.
"You sick your dogs on me?" Godric was of course assuming that the Monk was the cause behind this attack in some way. But in all reality the Monk was not injured at all, so it was kind of a case of being at the scene of a crime. "Remember Monk, you were the one that threw the first punch." he said, not caring what the Monk mite say. Most likely it will be a lie to cover up his own ass. Godric simply was not going to risk that, so the blame was wholly pinned upon the devote man in the Vampire's eyes. "As payment for your crime against a creature of creation I will take your life, unless you have something of equal value to give me." Hopefully the Monk remembered his requests when he entered, because those were Godric's stipulations, he would be leaving with one of those.
Godric's face tensed up. His shoulders stiffened, the whiter than normal knuckles gripping the Benihime. His posture was still within a combative position, as if a predator ready to strike. The Monk's life was in a balance and Godric was employing another tactic to force cooperation. Perhaps Godric's posture was enough to show the Monk that he was not playing around. Godric exuding a type of intimidation to prove his point that the Monk should really comply with his requests...
