Tournament Stage 3

The third stage for the tournament. Reserved for Myata Kazatsa Kazeraikou and Lee Hyo-Ri, the Champions of the Goddess of the After Life and the Goddess of Fertility respectively, this stage features an area of two-hundred meters by two hundred meters composed of loose stone block flooring that make it hard to get a proper grip on the earth creating a tripping hazard for those that aren't particularly sure-footed. This area is surrounded by large red bricks walls, a hieght of fifty meters from the ground and titty centimeters thick. Outside of the red brick walls in all directions it's just dirt, flat dirt and nothing else. Set before an incredibly sized dojo the combatants square off before two giant statue oni heads who, whilst being comprised of nothing other than stone, watch the fight progress and strike fear into the area.

Myata and Lee would appear before one another a distance of about two-hundred meters away from one another but with the other clearly in sight despite the large distance. If they would try to move they would discover rather quickly that the stone blocks they stood upon were loose but beneath them was sturdy earth. Somewhere a gong would sound, preparing the duo for their conflict in the name of their lords.

Myata stood opposite her foe in an arena of a different sort when the lights of the portal faded from her sight. She felt in flawless condition, though some of her less useful items had vanished. She was left with only her small arm-mounted shield, her long sword vendemaire, her gauntlets, greaves, and goggles hanging from her neck. how did they get there? It didn't matter. She set them over her eyes, pushing her mint hued bangs up.

Huh. Her opponent was a little girl. Now she was torn. She might not be able to give this battle her all after all. To kill someone so young would be terrible. But that would result in her death almost certainly, and without her fulfilling her bargain. On the other hand, she could kill the girl quickly, gently. That would be the kinder thing, rather than let her face the ravages of the men that had been assembled. Better her own body be broken and violated than some poor child.

The spirits writhed with excitement. Misery. Misfortune. How wonderful. Their host was in emotional turmoil. And they would inflict such misfortune upon the other human. Yes. Perfect. Yes.

As she traversed through time and space, her attire remained relatively unchanged; the loose white cloak that she wore as a kosode & her hakama still remained bound at the waist by a black sash. Affixed to the left side of the sash, was a small bag containing twenty-five caltrops, a smoke grenade, a fragmentation grenade, two bound kunai, a stun grenade and a disruptor. Undyed waraji still covered her feet, and her tengai still covered her face—without obscuring her vision. The mobility of the outfit was only rivalled by that of its ease of removal, at any moment, Lee could pull on the black sash, causing her clothing to fall to the ground.

It seemed that this stage was a rather peculiar one, an arena two-hundred metres square, comprised of loose stone blocks, each exactly one-hundred-and-six-centimetres square—she would be able to utilise them with a basic technique. Three walls and a dojo formed the border, with Lee's back facing the latter. The Komusō found herself position ‘before’ the dojo's statues, in the centre of the dojo's doorway perfectly between the east and west walls: forty-five metres separated her separated her from the twin Oni heads, which gazed down as if they were their own bracing, a horizontal theatre frame of gawking demon eyes that saw them. She was quick to note the unstable nature of the tiles and planned evasive countermotions onto the higher wooden surface that was the dojo, affording her the higher ground—approximately fifty centimetres—a deft piece of footwork that awarded an advantage in terms of reach. For the time being, however, she nudged a small rock with her left foot, hands raised together at her midsection hidden from view by her kosode, as she prepared her next manoeuvre.

Tournament Stage 3

As the two combatants would face one another, their opponent's finally revealed to them, the stale wind would kick up for the briefest of moments and a gentle breeze would caress their cheeks. Under the gaze of these demons these two would fight for their lives for the Gods that had chosen them. There was no turning back anymore, only with the death of one would the survivor be able to leave this place. No time for friends, no time for mercy. Death and only death could survive here. The large gong would sound a second time and the inhuman cry of the words 'Osu' would sound, an echo of times past. The final battle of ones life, a mere bump in the road for the other. The Goddess Sopuna would watch intently as these warriors gave their all.

The battle was to be joined. Myata was a cautious sort though, and kept her position, watching her opponent carefully. A brief blink, and her emerald eyes turned to a brilliant cloudy sapphire, sparks dancing behind her irises. The world changed in front of her, and yet was also the same. Arcane gestures which were different from hand seals steeled her soul against what was to come, ensuring that no matter what she would hold her mettle while also shifting her sight even further so that it became similar to planar beings in addition to dragons.

If the enemy were to attack, she would seek to avoid, but ultimately remain passive and distant, at least for now. The violence would begin, yes...but not yet. Not now.

"It's likely one or both of us will die before the end. Carry my name into future battles, as I will carry yours. Nobody deserves to be forgotten. I am Myata Kazatsa Kazeraikou...and this is my song."

That was when her song began. A haunting mystic melody that would stretch across an amount of time. This was an uplifting tune, a song of glory on the field of battle. Each verse was targeted to herself, and herself alone, each altering her state of mind such that her competency in battle was improved, but no matter what she would perform no hostile actions. Even now her song wasn't finished, but the remainder would have to wait.

O-Dai Ryuugan (Honorable Dragon Eye)

Effect: The power of the Ryuugan Doujutsu is unleashed, allowing the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water up to a certain distance and increase general seeing distance of one's eyes.
Special: Handseals
Drawback: Cannot see out of natural line of sight, takes a negligible amount of Chakra to maintain. Cannot pierce Genjutsu.
Description: The final stage of the Kazeraikou Doujutsu forces a temporary change of the user's eyes. The iris and pupil of the eye become one and change to a color decided at the first awakening depending on their mood. The color is like a cloud and swirls around the user's eye when looking around. Small lines of white will flash across the eyes like lightning bolts and continually do so as long as the eye is active. The glowing continues and on top allows for the eyes to slightly even light up in their respective color. With the Final stage of the Ryuugan Doujutsu unleashed, it allows the user to see the elements of Lightning, Air, and Water within one's viewing parameters. One's natural sight is also enhanced giving the capability of 8x zoom capabilities. The user sees the elements as three new, vibrant, and opaque colors that mesh perfectly with their normal vision, giving the user the ability to see the three elements without hindering their normal vision in the slightest. Of course normal vision can hinder this special sight, as the user cannot see through walls or other things as normal. Once the user reaches C Rank they no longer have to do handseals to activate the eyes.

Description: A personal based technique. Works on 1 creature at a time. Duration of the Jutsu is 5 hours per Class Level. User stumble on a way to change their soul's eyes so they are more like the eyes of planar creatures. Since they are a reflection of their own soul their eyes change as well. User gains the ability of low-light vision and can see auras of invisible creatures (issuing invisible creatures only a 20% concealment). User also sees lingering auras where living creatures have touched solid objects much like a footprint. These lingering auras only last for 2 rounds and fade away.

Deft fingers moved with nimble precision beneath her cloak, forming a myriad of seals: giving no outward indication of any motion whatsoever. All the while, the youth observed her opponent while a change seemed to begin in the enemy’s eyes, Lee prepared herself for the enviable assault. However, once she had split her soul, creating a perfect clone, the game was up, it should have been clear to her opponent that she was using hand seals. Lee attempted to capitalise on the situation: her hands darted out from the cover, as she rapidly performed the seals for greater invisibility; with no cloth to hinder her movements she should have been afforded a quicker reaction time, along with hopefully intimidating her, due to the display of overwhelming speed.

Description: Target is Personal. Range is Personal. Duration is 5 hours per Class Level. With a great show of will the user rips their soul in half effectively making a copy of themselves. By performing this Jutsu the user makes a full size copy of themselves. This copy is the user as much as the user is its copy. The user takes their chakra and splits it in half. This means that the user must now work with half of their energy, and half of the capabilities when dealing with Soulcaster techniques. All the user's other abilities and skills stay the same. At any time 1 of the copies can dismiss the other no matter what the range. If one is dismissed or if they are killed it does not bring back the chakra or energy, however the user will know. If one of the copies is killed the other copy is stunned for 1 round. If dismissed or killed any extra items they are carrying drops to the ground as the copy vanishes.
Limit: Must be a Soulcaster.

Description: Target is Personal. Range is Personal. Duration is 5 hours per Class Level. With a great show of will the user rips their soul in half effectively making a copy of themselves. By performing this Jutsu the user makes a full size copy of themselves. This copy is the user as much as the user is its copy. The user takes their chakra and splits it in half. This means that the user must now work with half of their energy, and half of the capabilities when dealing with Soulcaster techniques. All the user's other abilities and skills stay the same. At any time 1 of the copies can dismiss the other no matter what the range. If one is dismissed or if they are killed it does not bring back the chakra or energy, however the user will know. If one of the copies is killed the other copy is stunned for 1 round. If dismissed or killed any extra items they are carrying drops to the ground as the copy vanishes.

A cloner. Fantastic. And one without any sense of decorum. Fine. If that was how it had to be, then Myata was willing to oblige. Although the other girl was able to complete a great many handseals, none after the rustling of her clone that spawned the clone seemed to have any effect on the world.

Or maybe that was what she was supposed to believe? She herself dabbled somewhat in genjustsu, and recognized some, but not all of the techniques being used at the same time as her enchanting song. Like herself, Myata's opponent was reinforcing her abilities, while her clone apparently did nothing but stand there. The likelihood of that remaining the case indefinitely was absurdly small, but there remained the possibility that one of the two was an illusion. There was no way to attempt to peer beyond the veil of deception without first initiating contact against both entities and comparing the difference however, so that would be the first course of action.

At the same time as the other girl began a seemingly longer and more powerful combination of handseals, Myata surged forth at speeds beyond the average for her low degree of physicality, picking her way across the uneven terrain with enchantment-increased deftness. Two hundred meters was a lot of ground to cover, and there was no realistic way to make it before her opponent's hand seals were completed. That being said, if she could just make her way close enough, her dark companions would be able to latch on and hinder the girl's abilities. That should be enough to buy time to do...something. The best idea would be a wide range ninjutsu to strike both the real girl and her duplicate, but none she knew were able to reach at these distances.

Based on her physical abilities and active enchantments, it wasn't possible to cross the full distance even within a full six seconds, or likely even half that. She was completely at the other girl's mercy until she could get at minimum within one hundred meters. Even now, running as fast as she could safely in this terrain, it was unlikely that she would be able to cover more than forty to forty-five meters. Still far more than the average person, but not nearly enough.

The ruling staff has laid down states that Komusō is to be booted from the event and @elementshinobi is free to pass into the next round. Please note that this 'booting' does not involve death. Lee Hyo-Ri is very much alive. In terms of a participation reward please enquire with staff as I have little insight into their ruling. Victory

Strangely enough the opponent that the Kazeraikou was supposed to face vanished as if some great mischief was afoot, strange. Regardless, before the Myata would appear a portal of twisting energy and purple light. It was easily recognisable as the portal that had brought the Champions to their specified locations so it was easily concluded that this portal would allow for passage into the next. Despite the victory the Gods would stay ever quiet, spectating, but oh so silent. There were no words of praise, no pats on the back, no nothing like that. In this place, in this battlefield, there was one thing and one thing alone. The next fight. This was a war, a war of the Gods and the portal before the victor was merely the gateway to the next war zone.
