The Stagnant Murks [OPEN | DE]

In the feldgrau murks of Kawa no Kuni, a wandereress ventured. She had been traveling for some time now, a foreigner to these marsh lands of River; if she ever did require of them, she possessed Solider Pills capable of revitalizing her in a moment's notice. But of course she had not run into any creature she couldn't handle... Pakpao possessed the skeletal array --- Shikotsumyaku. With this, she was capable of making it thus far; not only that, she was a proficient brawler; and with little ninjutsu techniques, her feline quickness would allow her to flee... if it would even come to that.

The woman was drenched from the surroundings. This darkened her overall apparel, and made her chest rig slightly heavier. The equipment she stored within the slots of her rig had been caltrops and star shuriken; the Kaguya also possessed a scroll, alongside several different castes of grenade; and if the worst had truly come, then she had access to two-score lightning explosive tags. With those, she would paralyze any oppenent within the water. 

Pakpao trudged onward. Mud had by this time speckled her face, but her amber eyes still gleamed bright; aware.

The area Pakpao had stumbled upon was dark... moist; humid as it was, the bandit showed no sign of defeat. Steadily she went towards the capital, marked on her world map. Fetid lumber lay slacked within the mossy thicket, and with nimble grace she leapt into the tree line from the stagnant water way.

As she moved through the upper foliage, she noticed immediately a change in demeanor of the forest. Something once dark and gloomy had lost its dark aura as the sun tore through the loose patches of trees. This area was bright and the woman hissed and squinted her eyes; her right hand went to shield her gamboge eyes, and for a moment she had to allow her pupils to properly adjust to the setting. Once she reopened them, she observed the water below her:

It was clear—flowing and strong as so were the rumors of the rivers of Kawa kuni. Pakpao noticed the different streams connecting and also breaking into larger vessels of water; this natural system quickly appealed to Pakpao. The way the sun now settled against the ripping waves shone like diamonds and this encouraged the feline.

She broke her moment of respite and quickly broke off northward still. If she didn't make it there by nightfall... well, at least she would return to the darker embrace of shade, were the blood of the Kaguya craved battle.

In a blur, the gray silhouette of Pakpao moved through the treeline. Despite what speeds she moved at, her eyes were still dominant: she could observe sudden movements in her peripheral - like the sudden flight of a flock of birds she had disturbed as she bound from a loose limb. 

Her orange eyes flickered like a flame in the sunlight that shined through the leafy foliage; as they moved swiftly to pinpoint certain things out to Pakpao, they sparked intensely. The woman had quite the keen eye, and would drop down to the green fields of River country and stop her stride. This area... it had been recently traveled through. The smell of cinder had alerted her to the fire site, were she could later make out prints in the mud. Unable to properly discern them, she would follow them for a moment through the countryside. Occasionally, she would hear the distant rustle of some brush but did not flinch. She welcomed any on-comer, be it man or beast.



Once she had managed to reach the end of the tracks, she stumbled upon a main road. The treeline here had been hacked away, and a dirt road stretched this length beyond her eyes' scope. She squinted, curious as to where to go. As she reached for her world map, a loud shriek to her left -- to the north -- stopped her. Pakpao would immediately leap to a high branch to gain an aerial vantage to scry the land. Despite her efforts of observation, the bandit could not determine the source. The vivid greens of the jungle had blinded her sight in the distance; and even further, the surrounding perimeter of shade did her no aid. 


For now, the woman had no clue as to what made that strange noise... But if she had even cared to find it, she was certain it may find her first........

observation #3

Night swallowed perhaps all hope if visual acuity in the Kawa murks as Pakpao steadily roamed the region. She had still not been cautious, no; for the blood of a Kaguya continuously raged war within the body of its possessor, and not even the thought of becoming overwhelmed by an unknown creature deterred it. The woman did not possess dark-vision, so she had to rely on what glimpses of starlight fell through open grottos as she moved onward. The blackness of the surrounding rainforest brought new and terribly strange noises with it, yet fear still had been distant in the warrior princess's heart.

Her ears alerted her to the growing approach of some large creature-----despite how incessantly the crickets had chirped or how the smaller mammals had skirmished in the forest, all fell silent as this beast moved across the terrain. Pakpao still observed how it moved: the creature was slow but most definitely a heavy footed one; she could gauge that it was not human, and therefore strode across the grass and dry leaves in a four-legged gait; and further, as the large creature moved, trees or any other movement hindering obstruction would become pressed down to the earth under its tremendous weight. The woman sat in a high tree silently listening to all the things as the distance between them became shallow....

And as it indeed did, the smell of blood and decay filled her olfactory. Whatever this thing was, it certainly was not an herbivore; it reeked of rotten flesh and hot sanguine. This caused her own blood to begin to stir---her Kekkei Genkai was always at the ready to render any foe foolish enough to challenge her lineage, and now she could feel the growing heat of the humid rainforest accumulate on her exposed peach skin.

The rustling would continue, 60 or so meters to the north. It would be followed by the sound of clawing and scratching, and then a brief period of silence. In the intervening silence, a young elk would bolt away from the direction of the sound, clearly moved to fear by the presence of this decidedly huge creature.


Would the wanderer be brave enough to run in the opposite direction?

A glower snapped across the wandering woman's face as she observed just how far off the creature moved --- at roughly seventy meters from here; the silence of the night was disturbed as a four-legged mammal darted into the surrounding darkness of the forest. It sprang out to Pakpao from the general origin of the sound, yet surely this had not been that terrible creature.

More, her blood boiled. The lust to spill blood was drowning out what modicum of sanity she possessed, as would the calcium poison might do to her bones as she delved into the rudimentary Shikotsumyaku techniques. From her hands, rounded off portions of bone would push forth from her skin, and simultaneously transform into chiseled, longsword-like appendages.

Would a sacrifice to Jaishin transpire in the heat of night? Readying herself to dance with this beast, the woman prepared her mind for whatever approached her...

Bone Strength

Drawback: Must be a "C" Class Character. When they become a "C" Class Character, they automatically get this. Every time whenever someone attacks a member, the disease automatically takes into effect.
Description: There is chakra of molding, and chakra of inner molding. Because of the physical nature of the Kaguya's capability to increase the structure of their bones as well as their capability of using their Bloodlimit. The Kaguya had suddenly found a way to increase the strength within their own bones. This technique is used not for learning capabilities, but more for the capability of the strength within the character. The stronger the character the stronger they are capable of getting such a feat. The user focuses their inner body. This is the basic Strength of the Clan that is known for the Kaguya clan. Their bones are strong, they are capable of withstanding up to Two "D" Ranks of Jutsus before they start to break within the user.
Limit: Kaguya Bloodlimit. Must be a "C" Class

Bone Pulling

Skill: TaiJutsu
Effect: A technique that allows the Kaguya member the capability of exerting, and pushing out a bone out of their inner body.
Special: ---
Drawback: Whenever used the user undergoes the capability of disease under effect increasing the calcium within their body which makes them closer to dieing unless gaining medical treatment.
Description: The Kaguya at this stage is capable of contracting their muscles pushing their very bones upwards and out of their body when desired. They are capable of dislocating the bone within the body and begin to ease it out without much effort. Because of the bone, calcium in their body the bone is quickly replaced from the one that is eased and pushed out. The way it works is that the Kaguya has a great control within their inner body. They can control their muscles and their bones better then any creation ever. With that saying, the bones and nerves constrict around the bone greatly, as the body works as a squeezer, squeezing out the bone out of the body until it finally pops out of the skin in which is needed later on for other techniques.
Limit: Kaguya Bloodlimit. This is the basic of basics and must be known in order to use other Jutsus of the Bloodlimit.

prepping Dance of Willows

As the warlike dancer of the night made her way across the fields of the marsh, she would prepare her jutsu flawlessly. The rustling would continue, and the sound of feeding would slowly become clear. Whatever it was, was eating the fresh meat of some recent kill. However, the wanderer was armed with the strength of her own bones, and was now prepared to battle. Yet, she would not hear the beast approaching, and would begin to suspect that the beast had no interest in her flesh, and was far more interested in whatever it currently dined on. Would she wait for the beast to approach her? Or would she choose instead to initiate combat, and hope for the advantage granted by surprise?

The woman's gamboge eyes flickered like small embers in the thick of night as the sound of feasting filled her ears. It was an eerily erotic sensation to hear the wet mastication: whatever had been gnawing away on its kill possessed thick jaws and strong teeth; the thought sent pangs of allure down the spine of the woman Kaguya. As she steadily approached at a now softer movement, to try to perhaps observe such a glorious altercation, she slowly licked her lips. Pakpao enjoyed the macabre, and hoped that this beast of the night had been beautifully bathed in the crimson of its midnight snack...

In the night, the gnashing of teeth and eating of meat continued, as, in a trance, a maiden of light feet made her careful way to the scene, hoping to catch a glimpse of the carnage which the all the beasts of the murk smelled with avarice on the gentle summer wind. The creature which was dining was a wolf of obscene character. Destroyed by carnage, covered in infection, missing more fur than it still had, somehow this wolf dined upon the flesh of a human male, if the corpse could still be called human, let alone male.

Oddly though, the wolf was better off than the man. The man, even without the damage rendered by the jaws of the predator, was covered in gashes and slits. The darkness made them hard to make out, but it was clear that the man had carved into his flesh cryptic symbols of blood, and had been throughly mutilated where the symbols weren't applied. 

The wolf continued dining, not yet caring to do anything to the voyeuristic girl.

The female warrior could hardly see given the low lighting of the dense forest; what moonlight that had managed to pierce through the foliage only offered her grisly contours of a four-legged beast that was hunched over its kill in ravenous form. No visible carved sigils on the body were seen from her distance of five meters from the feasting; and Pakpao inched closer, the sounds and smells alluring her like a moth to a flame.

It would seem that her presence had not been yet sensed by the feral beast. She could assume that its nose had been so doused in blood and innards that the carnivore couldn't smell her... her eyes tightened as she rose a finger towards the animal. Her Shikotsumyaku lineage began to pulsate within her extended phalange. The girl yelled out to the beast, to try to get its attention -- be it for better or worse. In the event of the worse, she was well prepared to go toe-to-toe, tooth and nail, with this voracious wolf.

The warrior princess had made a fatal mistake in her tactics. Unaware of the bogland terrain around her, she would haphazardly stumble into a bit of quicksand and before she knew it, she had succumbed to an entrapment within the environment. Given this, her mind was now fully focused on escape; and that is when the wolf struck. Its voracious maw snapped down around her womanly neck and her head was torn clean off.

Pakpao would be no more.
