Walking towards the house of the old lady, Yamato looked at his mission scroll once more. According to this scroll, an old lady had to go to the hospital for a checkup. While she was gone, she needed someone to look after her six dogs. He only had to watch them for a few hours, so it wouldn't be that long of a mission. He had to walk and feed them in her absence. He also had to make sure they didn't leave the building. Huh, it seemed pretty easy to him. How hard could it be?
After a few minutes of walking, Yamato finally arrived at the old lady's house. Knocking on the door to announce his arrival, he waited quietly by the door. Time ticked by as he waited for the door to be answered. It was taking a long time, but the owner was elderly after all. And sure enough, while he was in the midst of thinking, the door opened. He exchanged pleasantries with the old lady and after talking, went inside the house. The old lady in turn left to go get her check up. Closing the door behind him, Yamato stared into the house. It was time for him to serve his village.
The moment Yamato stepped through the kitchen door, he was bombarded by dogs. Seeing as how one of the dogs was quite large, he couldn't stop himself from being pushed to the ground. With a look of grimace on his face, Yamato tried to get off the floor. Sadly it wasn't meant to be. For as he tried to push himself up, the old lady's dogs began to jump on him once more. A vein began to throb on his head as he fought his way off the ground and to his feet. Unbelievable, he was a ninja for god's sake. If he couldn't fend off six pets, how could he hope to fend off an enemy ninja.
As soon as he was on his feet, Yamato stared at the dogs warily. The moment they tried to jump on him, he would dodge. In truth, he was only wary of one of them, the one that was over half his body size. The other dogs were pretty small and he could deal with them nipping at his heels. Luckily their nails weren't that sharp, or else he would have another problem to contend with.
Recalling the information on the mission scroll, Yamato thought about what he needed to do first. The tasks that were given to him were feeding the dogs, walking them, and ensuring that they don't leave the premise. It was only three tasks, how hard could they be?
The first task Yamato decided to do was feed them. Sadly the old lady forgot to mention where the food was, so he would have to find it on his own. Opening and closing various cabinets, he searched up and down for the dog food. It was around this time that he noticed one of the small dogs pawing at a cabinet a little to his left. Walking to where the small dog was, he opened the cabinet, only to see nothing inside. Glancing downwards in confusion, he noticed that the dog who had been pawing at the counter was giving him a smug look. As he glared at the dog in irritation, another vein on his head began to throb. What the hell was wrong with these animals?
Yamato spent the next twenty minutes looking for the dog food in various locations throughout the house. It had taken him quite a while to find the food, and he was not pleased. How the hell had he missed the dog food that was on the counter in the kitchen? He had been in there for like ten minutes! Shaking in head in irritation, Yamato proceeded to feed all of the animals. And of course this wasn't easy too since all of the animals started jumping on him the moment he grabbed the dog food. But thanks to his perseverance, he was finally able to finish feeding them. One task done, two to go.
