Walking to where the academy was, Yamato thought about the mission he had received. According to the scroll, he needed to fill in for a teacher. He was then supposed to teach the students a D or C rank technique. The choice was his. How did he feel about teaching? He didn't really know. He had never taught before after all. One thing he had going for him was that the kids were trying to become ninja. This meant that they would hopefully be less bratty and spoiled than their normal counterparts.
The amount of students he was teaching was twenty. It wasn't that big, but neither was it that small. He needed to make sure everyone listened and did what they were supposed to do. He remembered back when he was in the academy that most of his classmates slept or lazed around. Would these students do the same thing? He was about to find out though, seeing as how he had reached the academy.
Walking into his classroom, Yamato waited for his students to arrive. He had arrived early since he believed that teachers were supposed to be there earlier than their students. How can you hope to gain respect when you aren't even on time to teach your own class? His academy teacher had always been late and it had always bugged him. Plus he couldn't teach. Maybe that was why he never liked him.
He only had to wait a few minutes before one of the students in his class arrived. Nodding his head toward the young girl, Yamato watched her out of the corner of his eye. This girl had come to school early, none of the other students would be here for a while. This was a trait he approved of, but you had to be careful not to arrive too early. If you did that, then you were only inconveniencing yourself.
Time passed by slowly as Yamato waited in his desk. Man, he felt like he had came too early. That obviously wasn't the case though, seeing as how he had another student in the class with him. It was while he was waiting that he noticed the female student taking brief glances at him. Every time he looked up, she would look back down into her book. Maybe she was shy. Rubbing his eyes tiredly, Yamato continued waiting.
It didn't take that long for the rest of the class to come. Or at least that was what he thought. He might have accidentally dozed off while he was waiting. He wasn't sure. Thankfully all of his kids were here, so he didn't have to look for the missing ones. The kids were around that age where playing hooky seemed cool. And it was his duty as a teacher to make sure they were where they were supposed to be.
Once all of the students were seated, Yamato explained why he was here. He didn't go into the details since they didn't need to know the exact specifics. He just told him that their teacher was busy, and he was filling in for him for the day. After he finished speaking he took role. He tried memorizing the names and faces of all the students in the class, but it proved to be too hard for him. That was information about twenty people that he needed to remember so he didn't feel that bad about it.
The moment he finish taking role, Yamato lead the class outside and into a small clearing. The only reason he did this was because the weather looked nice and it would be a shame not to enjoy it. Plus he didn't want to remain in a stuffy classroom. Once all of the students were in the small clearing with him, Yamato began to speak. It was time to teach these kids some techniques.
