Diplomat's Path [Private Travel]

Anri entered Kusa no Kuni with his best foot forward. In just a few days he would be making a powerful ally if he played his cards right. But for now he patted himself down once again to make sure he was still equipped with the same gear. Kusakage robes and hat, 2 swords, a bow, and all his arrows rest in his quiver, compass, map, and lastly his wooden Geta. Once he was done double checking, he looked back to see if Alex and Kyo made it through the village gates or not.

Kyo was following behind looking over to make sure he had all his clothing as well. Reaching behind him he griped the hilt of his katakana making sure it was still there. The it had been a while since he had seen the world outside the village one day he was going to explore all of he vowed to himself. However he lacked a lot of power and thus it was not time yet.

Alex kept walking through the gates absentmindedly smoking his cigarette as he continued the way towards... Where the hell were they going again? Alex shrugged and kept moving. It really didn't matter. Anything that would bring him out of his 'same shit, different day' routine. Alex looked around and took a moment to observe his surroundings. Nothing seemed too crazy yet around here. Alex looked up and watched the kid hop around and look around the gates. Alex was a little confused who exactly he was supposed to be protecting as they traveled.

"Okay guys, looks like we're heading thru Hi no Kuna to get to a dock and then go from there." Anri said looking at his map. "It looks like we have to head east for a while to reach a dock... We're going to be meeting in the land of whirlpools. We both figured it would be easier this way." The Kusakage said studying his map and compass for a while before actually setting off. Leading the way he made sure to keep an eye on the map and compass to not be accountable for getting them lost. Looking behind him to check if the group was in tow, Anri spoke up to break the silence. "If you got an extra drink or two, and wouldn't mind Alex." He said with a chuckle as he felt his dry throat and his sober mind. The next docks weren't for a little while, may as well try to get loaded for a boring straight line.

[Once the other two post, Travel to Hi no Kuni, Land of Fire]

Kyoikki followed Anri silently. He had no reason to talk. Following along the way he noticed the older guys had very vulgar language. However he was surprised he would be returning to the land of fire. A place of only pain and bad memories left to him. The mention of the land festered hate with in him.

Before they could reach the border Anri had seen one of his messenger Emus run up to him with a note in its beak. The note read :

Dear Lord Anri:

A fresh young Genin just left the village gates, with Vladimir's permission. The reason I write to you is because I have a bad feeling about this. The past few days everyone has felt something evil and destructive nearby. If you have a moment, please check in on him. He should be right outside the gates.

-Gatekeeper

"Alex, Kyo... Something came up. I either need you two to wait here with one of the two messenger emus, or wait outside the village gate. I need to check on a young new grass ninja who seems to have just left the village. The gatekeeper seems to think the kid may be in danger so I'd like to go alone. Should you guys stay here... Ill be back by tomorrow, should you go back to the gate, Ill meet you there. We will be still meeting the Mizukage, if you two would still like to tag along, if not that's fine, I will see you both at the village." Anri said with a look of fear on his face, trying to cover it up for his two genin accompanying him. "Alex, be nice to Kyo please." Anri said as he ran off, leaving one messenger Emu with Kyo and Alex, and keeping the other one with him.  Trying to make sure they didn't follow him because this could become dangerous fast...

[Emu Enters]

Anri's trusty messenger Emu finally ran into Kyoikki and Alex. It stopped and gave Alex the note, paper and pen. The note read as follows:

I have to stop by the village quickly. I understand if you guys have to bail, something came up. If so I will see you at the village. If not I will see you both as soon as humanly possible, since I still plan on meeting the Mizukage in the Land of Whirlpools. Please send the Emu back with this pen and paper, preferably a response.

The Emu then exited and went to join Anri at the village gate. Possibly to lead the other messenger emu to Anri.

[Emu 1, Exits]

Alex held up the note and sighed. He tossed it at the kid so he could get a good read at it. "Well... Fuck this. I'm gonna be at the bar if you need me" Alex lit another cig and walked off.

Kyoikki wrote on the note. " Alex will be heading to the bar while i will travel on forward to the land of Whirlpools on my own and will meet you there." Rolling the paper up and sliding the pen into the center. Sliding them both into the carrier of the emu back to Anri while heading off toward the land of whirlpools. " Well I guess I am on my own." [exit]
