The night was cold like any other. A chilly black atmosphere in the urban parts of Grass Country. The night fell silent may times over, and the living creatures of the land walking senselessly in the cold. Ignoring the fact they were leaving a living thing to its doom. She was used to it. The hunger, the pain, the tyranny surrounding her thoughts. Rui Togakekuran. The name was lost to those of this world. She no longer had a family. She was left all to herself. All to her own, wits. She... she could remember only so much. Her little home of ragged clothes, trash, and a small wood lit fire underneath a bridge to shield it from the rain. She had scavenged my blankets than she could remember, and yet still felt cold. Internally freezing to death.
Rui, was saddened by the pure fact she had made it this far. It seemed she was meant to suffer in a world of greed. A world of very unlawful wishes colliding for spot light. She was caught within the blast, and battered until ever single part of her ached for Death. Begging for its, warm loving embrace of being left alone. To be cradled n a place where she could finally, rest unscathed. The layers and layers of forgotten scars no longer a worry. But not even Death wanted her. Death is no babysitter. Not for monsters like her. Ones that can't even commit suicide correctly, because of what they became. Her life is a dark place. One she hates entirely. What...what brought her such anvil? She, could only remember the finest of details...
-Many, many years before-
"Rui!" Called a cheerful, but stern voice. The voice of a proud father calling for his beloved daughter. He waited in the lower quarters as he heard his child, call out to him in response. Rui was so young and, adorable back then. She remembers. Walking down the stairs. Her smooth scaled feet, pressing on the hard floors, as she always ran down the steps to greet her father every morning. Her tail wasn't as big as it was before. By all mighty it was still very impressive though. She was a grand pride in an ethnicity of reptilian humanoids that, are not always looked at in a positive notion. So with that she never dragged her tail as her mother frowned upon that.
"Daddy!" She'd coo jumping into his sturdy, chest clinging to him tightly as he'd intentionally squeeze her with his strong arms. Her father was a clan armorer and weapon smith. He has done a lot for the clan, as well as everyone else. At least the non-scum variants. Yet even then, there are so few that are obnoxiously troublesome its hard to point clawed fingers. "Ah, you look so pretty today. Ohohoho? Whats this I see?" He'd say poking at the blue flower tightly tucked in her hair. Rui, with all of her strength bat his large hand away. A draconian is fierce, but Rui is fierce as her face tightened into a strong glare. "Don't touch it." She warned.
Her dad only chuckling as he set her back down, then held his hand out so they could take the stroll down the street. "Okay, okay. With that attitude you could kill a lion sweetie. You make your father proud. Now, lets go meet to your mother at the shop." He ordered with a smile. Rui, brightening up as she took her small hand in his. He'd exit the house with his daughter, and lock the door accordingly. There are still thugs the Togakekuran Security Force hasn't finished rounding up yet. The walk was short. As always. Her dragon like father, knocking on the counter of the shop to signal to his wife someone was here. Rui; as cheerful as can be hopping up top on the counter to sit down and, wait...
