A Coal Movie: Starring NOT Coal [EPIC Event]

Well it only happens once a year. Something seriously amazing sets forth in this area. Some thing it is the reason why its called the Land of Birds. You can spread any rumor as it why its named this way. Sort of the fun side about it. However history isn't important really right now. No what is important is the high stakes, high risk reward event about to go on. It has been tradition here. The chance to see, and for some brave travelers capture (or die) by a mythical and utterly amazing creature.

The one and only Ziz. Yes, it only shows up so often in other places. However for once in every year it takes part of what residence of the Bird Country like to call "The National Migration." Birds of all kinds get together, and head to a place nobody really knows except the few that venture to make it there. Not much really to explain except the experience. For some its highly dangerous, and it is. Others that don't even have history catching birds have made it to their safe haven without trouble. Other fight tooth and nail to get there. It all the same. When there is a chance to get a Ziz people can get rather crazy...

No worries though, it isn't that much of a hassle. At least for most. No sign of them yet though. However they could be tracked by the fluctuation of energy waves above in the sky.

Ah. The land of Birds! Nestled in the highlands, seemingly in the sky for as high as some of the plateaus could be. Few trees dotted this landscape, sparse and spread out, unable to support any but the hardiest of foliage. Yet it was not barren, as green pastures stretched as far as the eye could see, at least before another cliff face or plateau blocked your view. This country was aptly named due to its migration period and mating ritual combination, where birds the world over would come to live, congregate, and procreate. Jack stood upon this very land, hand shading her eyes from the sun, gazing out at the expanse and then into the clouds themselves. Glorious!

“Doesn’t look like the birds are here yet. Good, that’ll give me some time to go get prepared!”

Jack hefted her travel bag, feeling the weight and going over the mental checklist in her head, just to make sure she had everything she would need. Goggles with Thermal and X-ray lenses, Headlamp, that soldier pill, one stun grenade, two lightning, three spike, her Fullblade and Great hammer of course. But there was some things missing, like rope, she would definitely need rope, or would she? She thought about it while she walked toward further into the country, waiting on the birds to appear before her. Could you tie down a Ziz? Or are they too powerful? I wouldn’t be surprised if they were too powerful though, because they’re pretty big.

Well there was no use dwelling on that. Instead, she would just keep moving inland, checking the skies for flocks of birds to materialize out of thin air, squawking and cawing and running from the Ziz. A plan of attack would be needed for capturing the big bastard though, but she would make that later on, probably during the capturing. Speaking of plans, just where in the world was she? Jack looked around to try and figure it out, but it was just grasslands, hundreds of bird' nests in cliff faces, and endless sky.

Jack currently was on a cliffside. Leading into a scaling range of fruitful forestation. Nature life, was at a minimal. A flock of fey, currently fluttering around, checking out the Spring Season-like plants. In the background was a tundra region that rose to  a well of dreams, that is rumored to grant  a wish. Old folk lore around here. Some think dragons might live over there as it is a decent view point on all the birds that migrate here. In general the dragons and Ziz have been at peace for a long time. It used to get very hectic around this time. Both animal families fighting for space. Soon enough nature took its course, and kept it simple for the both for them. And so, not much else was needed beyond that, which made it safe to come all the way out here. 



So far, the activity of the weather, along with the scenery was still. The sky showing signs of fluctuation soon. Life forms of all kinds minding their own business. More so of a calm state of balance within the world. One of the view places non tainted by the world that is known today by many whether they live the shinobi life or not. So far, Jack could get as set up as she wanted to. However when the birds do show up, she better be quick when repacking, cause they damn well won't be waiting for her.

Although it all comes with the name of the game right? In the moment of whatever it was she was doing, a fey grew enough courage to fly over, and speak to her. Its voice wasn't as pip squeaked, and scrawny as most stereotype. If anything it was rather grudged, and full of gusto. Sort of like a crude comedian or some sort. Either way it was round looking fairy. He looked like a "large" labor class man, that was reduced to minuscule, and given glowing yellow wings. His energy forming a nightwear sort of robe, glowing dark blue resonating with his pale lime green skin tone. 

"Oi!. You uh, waiting for the Annual Bird Migration, or did you somehow get yourself stuck up here?" He asked, hovering near her head to make sure she could hear him.
