Character Depth
Personality:
It can be hard for someone who meets her to be able to relay Satsu's personality to someone else. For the most part? This is due to the fact that the little girl does not actually seem to have one when someone is interacting with her in passing. Since she was trained to be a doll, an item with no emotions or wants of her own, Nin has a surprising lack of character. This training, the trauma inflicted to her brain? Goes so deep that she will do anything the person who is in charge of her orders her to do, even if it goes against her basic underlying personality and interests. The only thing that the one commanding the Murder Doll can not make her do? Is kill or harm one of her pack members, she may even go as far as to kill herself on command until this layer is scratched away as her entire self-conscious is basically annihilated.
Kurenai is an essential part of any sense of any remaining personality, clinging shards of her original psyche that Ningyo possesses. When she was Ashi the girl grew up with canine’s constantly around her, no matter what she always had at least one of the species around her. She has a deep compassion for these creatures and if given the chance will often go out of her way to help them. Satsu has trouble sleeping without Kurenai around. As a matter of fact, animals, in general, were always around, leaving Satsu with a fondness towards them. Things such as bird watching from where she is told to stay, or picking out the scent/sounds of different animals are things that are right up her alley. Doing such things like tracking and such? Sometimes even bring something akin to a smile to her face.
Speaking of how she’s been around animals for her whole life? Nin has also been out in the wilderness for a good deal of her existence! Born in a cavern and raised until the age of six as a nomad, she has a love of traveling alongside a close bond to nature. Satsu is the kind of girl who could be happy laying in a field of grass somewhere, simply watching birds fly by overhead; Though she may think of eating the birds. Being outside in nature is far more comfortable to the child than being inside of any building. In spite of not considering herself traumatized due to not having enough conscious left to do so? A deeper part of her remembers that she was kept locked up inside for six years and that she was robbed of herself there, which is the very reason she has retained some basic things like a love of nature that can be triggered when a stimulus is present. If Nin is inside of her room she will not move to go outside, but if she walks by a doorway with whoever is in charge of her, she will often make or nearly make an attempt to wander outside.
Satsu’s life has been anything besides easy from the time she was born. Even if things were not bad in the beginning? She still had a brother who expected a lot from her and pushed his little sister the hardest he could. Any average child would have let such a man down. However, Nin was born with an adept ability to learn things, a trait nurtured by the ways her brother trained her. Even if left to her own devices with a scroll she can barely read? Satsu is the sort of girl to take it and go to a library to decipher it with the references within. However she is not simply book smart, in fact, most of her intelligence is put towards watching people perform or demonstrate how to use a specific skill and most times rather swiftly recall how to do so.
If one was to work with Satsu long enough? Ashi still exists deep within her, the personality of the six-year-old girl who was looking for help is alive in a small flicker that with the right stimulus can be stroked to a raging fire. She looks up to those with strength and respects them as alphas or role models. Nin is the sort of child to seek out an adult she sees as powerful when even so much as thunder rumbles. She is generally a timid and quiet individual due to what she’s experienced. The loss she’s endured in the past has left her with a desire to protect whoever happens to come into her pack these days, but losing so much also makes her cautious to grow new bonds and attachments to others.
One could easily say that Satsu and Ashi are two sides of a coin. Ningyo can be called a shell built up to protect her. With slow deliberate work and positive experiences/reinforcement? Satsu is easily still a child, like a butterfly who is too shy to come out of its cocoon because of the rain. However, in time, flakes of Satsu will fall away likely leaving only Ashi remaining. Once this happens the girl will have a stoic disposition that is quickly shed when she encounters people or situations she likes. This girl is a person still very much trying to find herself and retrieve the things she lost over six years.

Appearance:
At first sight Satsu is a very short girl even for a twelve year old. If anything stands out about her on initial gaze contact? It's the fact nothing actually stands out about her on your average day. Most people have a trait like long hair, or spectacular eye color, or just the way they dress that draws the eye for even a second. Ningyo? Has none of this, even her light green eyes having muddy brown contacts covering them most of the time. If anything is spectacular about the ninja it is just how unassuming she appears, nothing at all holds one’s attention to her as if she was designed that way. Even the way Nin dresses seems to always fit into the area she is currently inhabiting. One is very likely to easily find someone near by who is wearing a outfit that nearly matches the girls and she is always clothed simply. However none of that is really her choice.
Coming from two distinct groups that have unique features to them? Satsu is an unique girl one that would be easy to pick from a crowd if it wasn’t her desire to not stand out. From the Kaguya she has inherited discolored skin and beneath the cover up she dons, the markings of the Inuzuka are practically stained onto her face. To be exact she has dots above her eyebrows, under eye shadow and fang like marks coming right from this continuing until they point on either side of the edges of her mouth, all of these marks are colored somewhere near the shade known as wine. The eyebrow dots and under eye shadow are permanent discoloration from her Kaguya heritage. Ningyo’s fang markings that extend from the under eye shadow however started out as mere painting and with effort could be purged from her visage, but since a powerful dye was used to place them there in the first place this would be very difficult so it was not attempted. However on occasion she does have to repaint the fang’s due to them fading slightly due to some external source.
Ashi came from Clans that actually have pretty damn distictinve traits. It stands to reason she would normally be very unique. The thing is she tries not to be someone outstanding visually ,thought it is actually a lot of work to make herself seem as unassuming as she normally does. The natural state of this girl's hair for example? Is a train wreck! Most Inuzuka are known to have fairly messy dark colored hair while the Kaguya generally have lighter more regal, straight sort of locks. Satsu’s hair fell in between her parents it’s messy and unkempt the further down it goes while the top is rather neat, the locks being colored an ashen grey. Ashi will often take the time to straighten all of her hair or mess up the top of it so that she has an even consistency so to speak.
Though sometimes there is nothing one can do about their unique traits. Being kept out of the sunlight for six years? Ningyo is very pale skinned, the short of shade that suggests one might actually be a ghost, of course her blood limit does not help this cause any. Another result of her years lacking that gassy orb in the sky would be her height. Many twelve year olds are nearing their five foot something adult heights in spite of still being a bit short, they outgrow clothing like weeds. Sadly Nin does not do this, instead her growth has been somewhat stunted at four foot four, her body seemingly unable to reach further at the moment. Thus sometimes the girl who tries to not stand out will always stand out because she looks like a child who someone could easily assume lost if she is not in the company of an adult, especially since she has yet to even start showing physical signs of puberty. One could easily mistake Ashi for a child 2-4 years younger than what she actually is.
Due to her desire not to stand out, Satsu often clothes a typical ninja outfit consisting of a flak jacket with a black undershirt, black pants and dark shoes. However when she was young the girl actually saw a good deal of the world. If she ever was to decide not to try and be unassuming as she believes she is supposed to do? The tween knows a lot of fashion styles to pick from. If Satsu decided to start dressing how she actually wants she would favor things like knee length kimono’s, jean bottom jacket top with a mesh shirt combo’s, or even anything that looks kinda wild, not as in leopard print but maybe ripped up jeans, worn and used. While she does stick to her normal most of the time, occasionally if she knows that she is going nowhere on a given day she may be seen in an alternative outfit to the ninja one.
Background:
Miruku Kaguya and Shippo Inuzuka, those are the names of the individuals who would eventually come to be the parents of the twelve year old girl known as Satsujin Ningyo. Spending his early days wandering unaligned to a single village and instead swearing allegiance to whatever his clan’s alliance was? The freedom loving Shippo was part of the Inuzuka Clan, the name his children would one day inherit from him. Miruku was part of the Kaguya’s scattered dead bone pulse blood limit a young shinobi loyalty pledged to the mist for battle without second thought. Yet this is not the story about how two star crossed lover’s got a happy ending! In fact when they met each other the Ninja hated the guts of the other, he was too lax and she was far too rigid. Shippo and Miruku met after his lax nature had caused his packed to run ahead without him and her strict manner had caused her team to betray her, Miru was injured, going to die without help and he was not one to just let someone lose their life due to his own opinion of them. After he saved her life? They parted ways pretty quickly, both heading back towards their respective alliances only to near simultaneously find out they no longer had that home to return to. Miru’s team mates had reported her dead and Shippo’s pack had been slaughtered by an enemy after leaving him behind, neither could return to where they had once existed and thus gravitated back to each other out of necessity for company. Eventually this need evolved into the feelings of love that encouraged them to marry, for Miruki to take on the Inuzuka name and train to be one of them instead of the Kaguya Mist Shinobi she had once been.
After a few years of traveling around together with no home and an unsure destination, for some inexplicable reason Miruku began to slow down. With his mate unable to keep toe with him, due to what he suspected to be illness in the beginning, Shippo found a cavern that sat somewhere around the borders of the land of fire. After about a month or two of staying around this area, returning to this cave over and over again due to her inability to keep up? The pair realized something their dogs had likely noticed long before them, that she was not sick but rather pregnant with their first child. Considering the incoming infant, they chose to hunker down in the area for a little while, several months later Kamu Inuzuka was born. Once the boy existed outside his mother’s womb his parents decided they would stay put long enough for him to learn how to walk not on only in the normal matter but also across water and up tree’s, so he would be able to keep up near perfectly with them. Once he was able to keep up they left the area to travel across the lands once more, getting him schooling wherever they could, teaching him everything they knew and eventually gifting him with his own canine companion when he was six years old.
Six years after Kamu was given his own canine companion, the little boy was told he would be getting another gift. Miruku and Shippo informed their twelve year old son that that they would be gaining a younger sibling and so the pack settled down in a secluded cavern once more to await the newest member of their family. The child they were expecting was Satsujin Ningyo, though this was not the name she was born with. The morbid name that would identify her to others later in her life? Was something that evolved far after she was born. On the stormy day of her birth in the cavern where her mother bore her, they gifted the infant with the name Ashi Inuzuka and this is where Murderdolls life began, in a loving family who couldn’t have loved her more.
A pack that can not move around to follow their food sources? Is often one that dies off. Thus Ashi’s family had a dilemma caused by the infant, they needed her to learn swiftly so they could move on to better hunting and yet the hunting was far too thin near their cavern forcing her parents to take long trips away from home in order to feed everyone. This was a difficult time in the beginning and might have had harsh consequences if Kamu did not step up and begin teaching his sister while their parents were away. Once his sister began walking unsteadily at nine months old the tween boy and his canine would push her to move around in order to develop her locomotive abilities, encouraging her to walk, waddle and sometimes run until she couldn’t anymore. While pushing Ashi so hard might have seemed cruel to some if any had seen? By the time she was nearing the end of her first year of life the child was able to move around enough for a move to be possible even if she had not yet started learning chakra control. Thus at the end of her first year of life, her pack was on the move again, though Ashi spent most of her time on the back of a family member’s canine companion during these trips, namely her brother’s large wolfdog.
Having only witnessed one year of normal life Ashi would have no idea that the normal she had known was about to be destroyed. In spite of having been betrayed and announced as dead? Miruku was still proclaimed a missing-nin when it came back to her village that she was actually alive and did not return to the village. The pack moved around and lived as normal, having no idea that one of them was being hunted by her birth place. Most day’s were spent with someone slowly teaching the little girl different sorts of chakra control alongside other simply things like reading and writing. In preparation for her second birthday Ashi’s parents left on a hunting trip, but as weeks passed they did not come home, eventually Kamu decided that the pair should go looking for them. Bringing his little sister? Was the last thing he wanted to do, but he also could not leave her unprotected all alone in the cabin they had all been staying in. What the 13 year old and 2 year old found? Was downright traumatizing, the corpses of their parents and their dogs being stood over by a group of ninja that Ashi never got to see clearly because the second he knew their parents had been killed, Kamu and his dog ran as fast, as far away as they could with her. On that day everything changed about the family she had once known, her parents were gone and her brother began to change.
Raising his little sister all alone with only his canine to aid him would be no easy task for Kamu but only his parents had known where the next Gathering for the different Inzuka Packs was taking place, so the fourteen year old had no other choice. Due to seeing her parents dead, Ashi became timid of anyone outside her brother and his wolfdog, which only made her brother’s job harder little to her knowledge. If her big brother tried to leave to go hunting without the three year old who was incapable of aiding in the event? She would flip out and even try to follow him if the boy still tried to leave her above. However Ashi did her best to keep up since she refused to be left behind due to the fear he would never come back to her or that she would lose her brother as well. The biggest event in her third year of life though was not what she learned Inuzuka wise but rather how her first kill took place. While they were hunting? A wild buck managed to get the girl singled out and attempted to take her life to thin the threat to its own life, without even really knowing what she was doing the little girl ended up pulling out one of her own ribs and using it as a weapon to stab the buck in the neck ending its life. Clearly she had inherited their mother’s blood limit, Ashi was just lucky her brother also possessed it and could teach her about it.
However Kamu was never the best of teacher’s he often taught Ashi by making her do stuff like when he taught her to walk on water he did so by throwing her in and pulling her out until eventually she stopped going under. Learning how to control her new ability? Was going to be an uphill battle for the little girl one that was not going to go quiet as quickly as everything else he had taught her. Most of Ashi’s entire fifth year of life was spent having the Calcium Extraction technique pounded into her young head, being told to recite how to perform it at any time of day or night, even sometimes being forcefully woken up to tell her brother how to preform the jutsu. While Kamu’s methods were not the most gentle his little sister easily understood when he said that he only did it because without knowing the technique he was teaching her that she could be dead in hardly a few years time, that this skill was essential to her well being. While it took most of her fourth year of life, eventually Ashi did manage to master Calcium Extraction. Although Kamu advised her never use their Kaguya abilities unless she was backed into a corner due to how dangerous he knew the ability to be. However he never explained very much about their blood limit to her in hopes she would be less likely to use it.
Ashi used her bone pulse a little more than Kamu could ever appreciate, within the first few months after he declared she had mastered calcium extraction the young girl had used her ability more than the seventeen year old boy ever had. In her brother’s honest opinion? The five year old was abusing her power, but she would not listen whatsoever whenever he tried to convey this to her, so the only thing he was left with was teaching her the technique immediately following Calcium Extraction. Slowly, Kamu introduction Calcium Starvation to Ashi, approaching it much more gently than he had approached the prior technique, hesitant to let her know it allowed her more time to use her bone abilities, simply telling her it was the next step of Extraction. Considering Ashi was a natural with her Blood Limit it did not take long, much to her brother’s displeasure, for her to master Calcium Starvation and continue using her bones as a weapon every single hunt they went on. Although the little girl eventually did explain to her brother that she used the Bone Pulse since he had the advantage of his canine companion while she had yet to obtain one.
Life seemed to be normal for the young girl due to most long term memory being formed after the age of two and thus she barely remembered their parents and thus the murder of them expect for in brief nightmares which her brother always explained away for her. Ashi did not know that her parent’s would normally have been the one to secure a puppy for her, realizing this Kamu also realized it fell on him to obtain a dog for his sister. However he had become very hesitant towards going into villages for fear someone would kill his little sister, while they were not uncultured, he did not want to go buy a puppy from someone for her. Thus the young boy went off with his own canine to do the only thing he could think of, steal a puppy of some wild wolf for her to raise and bond with. Once more Ashi’s brother proved that he loved to challenge his sister to ensure her strength because the pup he chose to steal was a dire wolf pup. Clearly? Not a child safe species since they are incredibly unruly creatures! Normally a child of Ashi’s temperament would be unable to tame such a beast, but conditions happened to be right. Like all most any kidnapped canine the puppy did not like it's new condition and when Ashi first went to touch her the girl quickly got bitten, this was where her tendency to pull bones for every little thing came in handy because when she felt the pups teeth sink in Ashi fought back by giving the puppy a mouth full of bone. Clearly after this unpleasant experience the dire pup did not much bother fighting her new alpha physically, seeing that the result every time was going to end in her injured she decided to try and get along with the human girl. Not much later? Life went wrong again when her brother stepped on the wrong side of some shinobi he encountered and ended up the throat’s of his wolf dog and himself equally slit, dead.
Ashi had been taught to hunt and survive, Kamu had been sure of that before he died. However, the girl was still only six years old and not yet quite old nor large enough to bring down sizable prey for herself and Sango. Clearly they could not rely on the young dire wolf to hunt, as was also too small. The chance of surviving the upcoming winter without her brother after he was buried happened to be incredibly low and the child knew this. In the interest of surviving the thing she had been taught most by her late elder brother? Ashi began to seek out other human beings, trying to find someone who would take both herself and the dangerous mocking wolf that now served as her lifetime companion. Sadly the sort of place she needed could mostly only be described as another Inuzuka pack which she had no idea how to track down and winter was growing ever closer. Thus when a group of strange people offered her a place to stay in return for a small favor, Ashi never even questioned it and Sango was not able to convince her that taking residence with them was a bad idea. However having nowhere else to go the dire wolf remained at the girls side in spite of this disagreement.
The group that took in Ashi regrettably did not actually have good intentions for the young girl. Instead of a child needing help? These people saw a blank slate they could train into the exact image they wanted if they just could erase the things that currently made her an individual. As days passed on from her sixth year of life into the seventh year of existence; The organization slowly began forcing her to disregard everything she currently knew about herself including her name. In those dank halls is where she would be assigned the name she would eventually relay to other’s, a title that translated literally means Murder Doll, Satsujin Ningyo. Yet the emotionless doll ready to follow any command that would eventually end up in the cloud village? Took more than a single year or two in order to form.
Once they convinced Ashi that her name was Satsu, well that was were the real training began. When they had taken her individuality?! Even going as far as to cover her facial markings with skin tone paint? Was when they began telling her the things she should now do, which was whatever they told her was right. Slowly they broke any ideas of wrong and right that the child had thought she knew. Considering the girl was only a child still, this was not very difficult to do at all. It was Simply a matter of rewarding her whenever she did exactly as they said to the letter. Kurenai was allowed to stay by her and slowly indirectly learned that the only thing right to do was listen to her mistress no matter what she thought herself because whenever the dire wolf acted against the order’s Satsu was given she would be ignored or nearly struck by a bone only avoiding the latter fate due to the little uncertainty her mistress still had about following what someone else thought.
Quickly enough the mindless construct that would eventually be found was brought into existence. Yet, no matter how much they corrupted her mind she still had been born Ashi and remembered the things she had been taught before even if they had reprogrammed many things. Something like how her brother told her never to use Bone Pulse unless she absolutely needed to, well those remained and instead of disobeying him on a whim as she once had, she now kept those things hidden. The organization had no way to know that she could wield a blood limit only knowing of her normal ninja skills and connection to Kurenai. If they had found out about her bone related abilities? The child’s time with them may have been worse than it actually ended up being.
Being rendered an emotionless doll who would do anything, even kill someone for no reason on command? Was actually pretty bad! However not a single person in the group ever struck Satsu physically, every bit of trauma that changed her was emotional and mental, some of it inflicted by repeated use of genjutsu to break the young girl's mind. Still nothing changed the fact that she was slowly reaching towards where they wanted her to be, getting stronger every time they set her against someone they had captured. Even if Nin did not kill anything brought to her? The child was now ten to eleven and growing stronger every single day. Before long they would be able to use her in the field without any concern to her life as anything besides a weapon.
The story was never going to get that far. The head of the organization was sick of Ningyo’s disobedience to her final command, murdering someone, and thus threatened if she did not finish the job next time she was given the order, Sango would be killed instead. The dire wolf she had been tending to for the last six years? Was the only pack that Satsu really had and no matter how brainwashed she was, the girl knew this very well. No one actually though the threat would be effective, it was simply a last resort to break a human completely, something no one thought was going to work. However when two of the group member’s got into a fight and each told Ningyo to kill the other in anger believing she would only knock them out? The little girl put a kunai through both of their hearts. Clearly the leader of the organization cleaned up the mess and unless one of them spoke no one would ever know what happened, but now that they had what they desired, a doll that would even kill on command, no one knew what to do with her. Know how sometimes something does not seem as appealing after you obtain it, master it? This is what happened when they found that murder doll was now perfect, of course eventually they would have gotten over it and used her, expect something happened.
The member’s of the organization that had trained Ashi Inuzuka into Satsujin Ningyo suddenly one day began to stop showing up at their hideout where she had been kept away from society for six years. Kurenai watched as days turned into a week and slowly her partner, the only thing she had known for most of her life, slowly began starving to death, became severely dehydrated. Satsu was intelligent but the brainwashing done to her was so intense she no longer had any sense of self preservation and thus refused to move after her owners had told her to stay put, in all likelihood the twelve year old was going to die there. However since they saw each other as pack mates Sango refused to simply watch the only pack member she had simply fade away and die while she was able to do something about it! Thus she left the child there and ventured into the forest looking for someone to bring back who could make her mistress move without harming the girl. After searching for a matter of a day or two at the most she found a man who carried the scent of other dire wolves and chose to lead him along with whoever/whatever happened to be with him to the hideout which held Murder Doll. In spite of the group clearly wanting to explore the creepy crypt like building with care? Sango urged them onwards until they found Satsujin unconscious in the room furthest back. Even a daft man setting eyes on her would easily know the child needed water and food desperately. Shiki took the tween back to the Village In The Cloud so she could be treated for the severe dehydration she was suffering and once the Kage said she could stay, Ningyo was placed into the man’s custody, released from the hospital to his dojo with Sango at her side. This is where her IC story begins.

Character Depth
Personality:
It can be hard for someone who meets her to be able to relay Satsu's personality to someone else. For the most part? This is due to the fact that the little girl does not actually seem to have one when someone is interacting with her in passing. Since she was trained to be a doll, an item with no emotions or wants of her own, Nin has a surprising lack of character. This training, the trauma inflicted to her brain? Goes so deep that she will do anything the person who is in charge of her orders her to do, even if it goes against her basic underlying personality and interests. The only thing that the one commanding the Murder Doll can not make her do? Is kill or harm one of her pack members, she may even go as far as to kill herself on command until this layer is scratched away as her entire self-conscious is basically annihilated.
Kurenai is an essential part of any sense of any remaining personality, clinging shards of her original psyche that Ningyo possesses. When she was Ashi the girl grew up with canine’s constantly around her, no matter what she always had at least one of the species around her. She has a deep compassion for these creatures and if given the chance will often go out of her way to help them. Satsu has trouble sleeping without Kurenai around. As a matter of fact, animals, in general, were always around, leaving Satsu with a fondness towards them. Things such as bird watching from where she is told to stay, or picking out the scent/sounds of different animals are things that are right up her alley. Doing such things like tracking and such? Sometimes even bring something akin to a smile to her face.
Speaking of how she’s been around animals for her whole life? Nin has also been out in the wilderness for a good deal of her existence! Born in a cavern and raised until the age of six as a nomad, she has a love of traveling alongside a close bond to nature. Satsu is the kind of girl who could be happy laying in a field of grass somewhere, simply watching birds fly by overhead; Though she may think of eating the birds. Being outside in nature is far more comfortable to the child than being inside of any building. In spite of not considering herself traumatized due to not having enough conscious left to do so? A deeper part of her remembers that she was kept locked up inside for six years and that she was robbed of herself there, which is the very reason she has retained some basic things like a love of nature that can be triggered when a stimulus is present. If Nin is inside of her room she will not move to go outside, but if she walks by a doorway with whoever is in charge of her, she will often make or nearly make an attempt to wander outside.
Satsu’s life has been anything besides easy from the time she was born. Even if things were not bad in the beginning? She still had a brother who expected a lot from her and pushed his little sister the hardest he could. Any average child would have let such a man down. However, Nin was born with an adept ability to learn things, a trait nurtured by the ways her brother trained her. Even if left to her own devices with a scroll she can barely read? Satsu is the sort of girl to take it and go to a library to decipher it with the references within. However she is not simply book smart, in fact, most of her intelligence is put towards watching people perform or demonstrate how to use a specific skill and most times rather swiftly recall how to do so.
If one was to work with Satsu long enough? Ashi still exists deep within her, the personality of the six-year-old girl who was looking for help is alive in a small flicker that with the right stimulus can be stroked to a raging fire. She looks up to those with strength and respects them as alphas or role models. Nin is the sort of child to seek out an adult she sees as powerful when even so much as thunder rumbles. She is generally a timid and quiet individual due to what she’s experienced. The loss she’s endured in the past has left her with a desire to protect whoever happens to come into her pack these days, but losing so much also makes her cautious to grow new bonds and attachments to others.
One could easily say that Satsu and Ashi are two sides of a coin. Ningyo can be called a shell built up to protect her. With slow deliberate work and positive experiences/reinforcement? Satsu is easily still a child, like a butterfly who is too shy to come out of its cocoon because of the rain. However, in time, flakes of Satsu will fall away likely leaving only Ashi remaining. Once this happens the girl will have a stoic disposition that is quickly shed when she encounters people or situations she likes. This girl is a person still very much trying to find herself and retrieve the things she lost over six years.

Appearance:
At first sight Satsu is a very short girl even for a twelve year old. If anything stands out about her on initial gaze contact? It's the fact nothing actually stands out about her on your average day. Most people have a trait like long hair, or spectacular eye color, or just the way they dress that draws the eye for even a second. Ningyo? Has none of this, even her light green eyes having muddy brown contacts covering them most of the time. If anything is spectacular about the ninja it is just how unassuming she appears, nothing at all holds one’s attention to her as if she was designed that way. Even the way Nin dresses seems to always fit into the area she is currently inhabiting. One is very likely to easily find someone near by who is wearing a outfit that nearly matches the girls and she is always clothed simply. However none of that is really her choice.
Coming from two distinct groups that have unique features to them? Satsu is an unique girl one that would be easy to pick from a crowd if it wasn’t her desire to not stand out. From the Kaguya she has inherited discolored skin and beneath the cover up she dons, the markings of the Inuzuka are practically stained onto her face. To be exact she has dots above her eyebrows, under eye shadow and fang like marks coming right from this continuing until they point on either side of the edges of her mouth, all of these marks are colored somewhere near the shade known as wine. The eyebrow dots and under eye shadow are permanent discoloration from her Kaguya heritage. Ningyo’s fang markings that extend from the under eye shadow however started out as mere painting and with effort could be purged from her visage, but since a powerful dye was used to place them there in the first place this would be very difficult so it was not attempted. However on occasion she does have to repaint the fang’s due to them fading slightly due to some external source.
Ashi came from Clans that actually have pretty damn distictinve traits. It stands to reason she would normally be very unique. The thing is she tries not to be someone outstanding visually ,thought it is actually a lot of work to make herself seem as unassuming as she normally does. The natural state of this girl's hair for example? Is a train wreck! Most Inuzuka are known to have fairly messy dark colored hair while the Kaguya generally have lighter more regal, straight sort of locks. Satsu’s hair fell in between her parents it’s messy and unkempt the further down it goes while the top is rather neat, the locks being colored an ashen grey. Ashi will often take the time to straighten all of her hair or mess up the top of it so that she has an even consistency so to speak.
Though sometimes there is nothing one can do about their unique traits. Being kept out of the sunlight for six years? Ningyo is very pale skinned, the short of shade that suggests one might actually be a ghost, of course her blood limit does not help this cause any. Another result of her years lacking that gassy orb in the sky would be her height. Many twelve year olds are nearing their five foot something adult heights in spite of still being a bit short, they outgrow clothing like weeds. Sadly Nin does not do this, instead her growth has been somewhat stunted at four foot four, her body seemingly unable to reach further at the moment. Thus sometimes the girl who tries to not stand out will always stand out because she looks like a child who someone could easily assume lost if she is not in the company of an adult, especially since she has yet to even start showing physical signs of puberty. One could easily mistake Ashi for a child 2-4 years younger than what she actually is.
Due to her desire not to stand out, Satsu often clothes a typical ninja outfit consisting of a flak jacket with a black undershirt, black pants and dark shoes. However when she was young the girl actually saw a good deal of the world. If she ever was to decide not to try and be unassuming as she believes she is supposed to do? The tween knows a lot of fashion styles to pick from. If Satsu decided to start dressing how she actually wants she would favor things like knee length kimono’s, jean bottom jacket top with a mesh shirt combo’s, or even anything that looks kinda wild, not as in leopard print but maybe ripped up jeans, worn and used. While she does stick to her normal most of the time, occasionally if she knows that she is going nowhere on a given day she may be seen in an alternative outfit to the ninja one.
Background:
Miruku Kaguya and Shippo Inuzuka, those are the names of the individuals who would eventually come to be the parents of the twelve year old girl known as Satsujin Ningyo. Spending his early days wandering unaligned to a single village and instead swearing allegiance to whatever his clan’s alliance was? The freedom loving Shippo was part of the Inuzuka Clan, the name his children would one day inherit from him. Miruku was part of the Kaguya’s scattered dead bone pulse blood limit a young shinobi loyalty pledged to the mist for battle without second thought. Yet this is not the story about how two star crossed lover’s got a happy ending! In fact when they met each other the Ninja hated the guts of the other, he was too lax and she was far too rigid. Shippo and Miruku met after his lax nature had caused his packed to run ahead without him and her strict manner had caused her team to betray her, Miru was injured, going to die without help and he was not one to just let someone lose their life due to his own opinion of them. After he saved her life? They parted ways pretty quickly, both heading back towards their respective alliances only to near simultaneously find out they no longer had that home to return to. Miru’s team mates had reported her dead and Shippo’s pack had been slaughtered by an enemy after leaving him behind, neither could return to where they had once existed and thus gravitated back to each other out of necessity for company. Eventually this need evolved into the feelings of love that encouraged them to marry, for Miruki to take on the Inuzuka name and train to be one of them instead of the Kaguya Mist Shinobi she had once been.
After a few years of traveling around together with no home and an unsure destination, for some inexplicable reason Miruku began to slow down. With his mate unable to keep toe with him, due to what he suspected to be illness in the beginning, Shippo found a cavern that sat somewhere around the borders of the land of fire. After about a month or two of staying around this area, returning to this cave over and over again due to her inability to keep up? The pair realized something their dogs had likely noticed long before them, that she was not sick but rather pregnant with their first child. Considering the incoming infant, they chose to hunker down in the area for a little while, several months later Kamu Inuzuka was born. Once the boy existed outside his mother’s womb his parents decided they would stay put long enough for him to learn how to walk not on only in the normal matter but also across water and up tree’s, so he would be able to keep up near perfectly with them. Once he was able to keep up they left the area to travel across the lands once more, getting him schooling wherever they could, teaching him everything they knew and eventually gifting him with his own canine companion when he was six years old.
Six years after Kamu was given his own canine companion, the little boy was told he would be getting another gift. Miruku and Shippo informed their twelve year old son that that they would be gaining a younger sibling and so the pack settled down in a secluded cavern once more to await the newest member of their family. The child they were expecting was Satsujin Ningyo, though this was not the name she was born with. The morbid name that would identify her to others later in her life? Was something that evolved far after she was born. On the stormy day of her birth in the cavern where her mother bore her, they gifted the infant with the name Ashi Inuzuka and this is where Murderdolls life began, in a loving family who couldn’t have loved her more.
A pack that can not move around to follow their food sources? Is often one that dies off. Thus Ashi’s family had a dilemma caused by the infant, they needed her to learn swiftly so they could move on to better hunting and yet the hunting was far too thin near their cavern forcing her parents to take long trips away from home in order to feed everyone. This was a difficult time in the beginning and might have had harsh consequences if Kamu did not step up and begin teaching his sister while their parents were away. Once his sister began walking unsteadily at nine months old the tween boy and his canine would push her to move around in order to develop her locomotive abilities, encouraging her to walk, waddle and sometimes run until she couldn’t anymore. While pushing Ashi so hard might have seemed cruel to some if any had seen? By the time she was nearing the end of her first year of life the child was able to move around enough for a move to be possible even if she had not yet started learning chakra control. Thus at the end of her first year of life, her pack was on the move again, though Ashi spent most of her time on the back of a family member’s canine companion during these trips, namely her brother’s large wolfdog.
Having only witnessed one year of normal life Ashi would have no idea that the normal she had known was about to be destroyed. In spite of having been betrayed and announced as dead? Miruku was still proclaimed a missing-nin when it came back to her village that she was actually alive and did not return to the village. The pack moved around and lived as normal, having no idea that one of them was being hunted by her birth place. Most day’s were spent with someone slowly teaching the little girl different sorts of chakra control alongside other simply things like reading and writing. In preparation for her second birthday Ashi’s parents left on a hunting trip, but as weeks passed they did not come home, eventually Kamu decided that the pair should go looking for them. Bringing his little sister? Was the last thing he wanted to do, but he also could not leave her unprotected all alone in the cabin they had all been staying in. What the 13 year old and 2 year old found? Was downright traumatizing, the corpses of their parents and their dogs being stood over by a group of ninja that Ashi never got to see clearly because the second he knew their parents had been killed, Kamu and his dog ran as fast, as far away as they could with her. On that day everything changed about the family she had once known, her parents were gone and her brother began to change.
Raising his little sister all alone with only his canine to aid him would be no easy task for Kamu but only his parents had known where the next Gathering for the different Inzuka Packs was taking place, so the fourteen year old had no other choice. Due to seeing her parents dead, Ashi became timid of anyone outside her brother and his wolfdog, which only made her brother’s job harder little to her knowledge. If her big brother tried to leave to go hunting without the three year old who was incapable of aiding in the event? She would flip out and even try to follow him if the boy still tried to leave her above. However Ashi did her best to keep up since she refused to be left behind due to the fear he would never come back to her or that she would lose her brother as well. The biggest event in her third year of life though was not what she learned Inuzuka wise but rather how her first kill took place. While they were hunting? A wild buck managed to get the girl singled out and attempted to take her life to thin the threat to its own life, without even really knowing what she was doing the little girl ended up pulling out one of her own ribs and using it as a weapon to stab the buck in the neck ending its life. Clearly she had inherited their mother’s blood limit, Ashi was just lucky her brother also possessed it and could teach her about it.
However Kamu was never the best of teacher’s he often taught Ashi by making her do stuff like when he taught her to walk on water he did so by throwing her in and pulling her out until eventually she stopped going under. Learning how to control her new ability? Was going to be an uphill battle for the little girl one that was not going to go quiet as quickly as everything else he had taught her. Most of Ashi’s entire fifth year of life was spent having the Calcium Extraction technique pounded into her young head, being told to recite how to perform it at any time of day or night, even sometimes being forcefully woken up to tell her brother how to preform the jutsu. While Kamu’s methods were not the most gentle his little sister easily understood when he said that he only did it because without knowing the technique he was teaching her that she could be dead in hardly a few years time, that this skill was essential to her well being. While it took most of her fourth year of life, eventually Ashi did manage to master Calcium Extraction. Although Kamu advised her never use their Kaguya abilities unless she was backed into a corner due to how dangerous he knew the ability to be. However he never explained very much about their blood limit to her in hopes she would be less likely to use it.
Ashi used her bone pulse a little more than Kamu could ever appreciate, within the first few months after he declared she had mastered calcium extraction the young girl had used her ability more than the seventeen year old boy ever had. In her brother’s honest opinion? The five year old was abusing her power, but she would not listen whatsoever whenever he tried to convey this to her, so the only thing he was left with was teaching her the technique immediately following Calcium Extraction. Slowly, Kamu introduction Calcium Starvation to Ashi, approaching it much more gently than he had approached the prior technique, hesitant to let her know it allowed her more time to use her bone abilities, simply telling her it was the next step of Extraction. Considering Ashi was a natural with her Blood Limit it did not take long, much to her brother’s displeasure, for her to master Calcium Starvation and continue using her bones as a weapon every single hunt they went on. Although the little girl eventually did explain to her brother that she used the Bone Pulse since he had the advantage of his canine companion while she had yet to obtain one.
Life seemed to be normal for the young girl due to most long term memory being formed after the age of two and thus she barely remembered their parents and thus the murder of them expect for in brief nightmares which her brother always explained away for her. Ashi did not know that her parent’s would normally have been the one to secure a puppy for her, realizing this Kamu also realized it fell on him to obtain a dog for his sister. However he had become very hesitant towards going into villages for fear someone would kill his little sister, while they were not uncultured, he did not want to go buy a puppy from someone for her. Thus the young boy went off with his own canine to do the only thing he could think of, steal a puppy of some wild wolf for her to raise and bond with. Once more Ashi’s brother proved that he loved to challenge his sister to ensure her strength because the pup he chose to steal was a dire wolf pup. Clearly? Not a child safe species since they are incredibly unruly creatures! Normally a child of Ashi’s temperament would be unable to tame such a beast, but conditions happened to be right. Like all most any kidnapped canine the puppy did not like it's new condition and when Ashi first went to touch her the girl quickly got bitten, this was where her tendency to pull bones for every little thing came in handy because when she felt the pups teeth sink in Ashi fought back by giving the puppy a mouth full of bone. Clearly after this unpleasant experience the dire pup did not much bother fighting her new alpha physically, seeing that the result every time was going to end in her injured she decided to try and get along with the human girl. Not much later? Life went wrong again when her brother stepped on the wrong side of some shinobi he encountered and ended up the throat’s of his wolf dog and himself equally slit, dead.
Ashi had been taught to hunt and survive, Kamu had been sure of that before he died. However, the girl was still only six years old and not yet quite old nor large enough to bring down sizable prey for herself and Sango. Clearly they could not rely on the young dire wolf to hunt, as was also too small. The chance of surviving the upcoming winter without her brother after he was buried happened to be incredibly low and the child knew this. In the interest of surviving the thing she had been taught most by her late elder brother? Ashi began to seek out other human beings, trying to find someone who would take both herself and the dangerous mocking wolf that now served as her lifetime companion. Sadly the sort of place she needed could mostly only be described as another Inuzuka pack which she had no idea how to track down and winter was growing ever closer. Thus when a group of strange people offered her a place to stay in return for a small favor, Ashi never even questioned it and Sango was not able to convince her that taking residence with them was a bad idea. However having nowhere else to go the dire wolf remained at the girls side in spite of this disagreement.
The group that took in Ashi regrettably did not actually have good intentions for the young girl. Instead of a child needing help? These people saw a blank slate they could train into the exact image they wanted if they just could erase the things that currently made her an individual. As days passed on from her sixth year of life into the seventh year of existence; The organization slowly began forcing her to disregard everything she currently knew about herself including her name. In those dank halls is where she would be assigned the name she would eventually relay to other’s, a title that translated literally means Murder Doll, Satsujin Ningyo. Yet the emotionless doll ready to follow any command that would eventually end up in the cloud village? Took more than a single year or two in order to form.
Once they convinced Ashi that her name was Satsu, well that was were the real training began. When they had taken her individuality?! Even going as far as to cover her facial markings with skin tone paint? Was when they began telling her the things she should now do, which was whatever they told her was right. Slowly they broke any ideas of wrong and right that the child had thought she knew. Considering the girl was only a child still, this was not very difficult to do at all. It was Simply a matter of rewarding her whenever she did exactly as they said to the letter. Kurenai was allowed to stay by her and slowly indirectly learned that the only thing right to do was listen to her mistress no matter what she thought herself because whenever the dire wolf acted against the order’s Satsu was given she would be ignored or nearly struck by a bone only avoiding the latter fate due to the little uncertainty her mistress still had about following what someone else thought.
Quickly enough the mindless construct that would eventually be found was brought into existence. Yet, no matter how much they corrupted her mind she still had been born Ashi and remembered the things she had been taught before even if they had reprogrammed many things. Something like how her brother told her never to use Bone Pulse unless she absolutely needed to, well those remained and instead of disobeying him on a whim as she once had, she now kept those things hidden. The organization had no way to know that she could wield a blood limit only knowing of her normal ninja skills and connection to Kurenai. If they had found out about her bone related abilities? The child’s time with them may have been worse than it actually ended up being.
Being rendered an emotionless doll who would do anything, even kill someone for no reason on command? Was actually pretty bad! However not a single person in the group ever struck Satsu physically, every bit of trauma that changed her was emotional and mental, some of it inflicted by repeated use of genjutsu to break the young girl's mind. Still nothing changed the fact that she was slowly reaching towards where they wanted her to be, getting stronger every time they set her against someone they had captured. Even if Nin did not kill anything brought to her? The child was now ten to eleven and growing stronger every single day. Before long they would be able to use her in the field without any concern to her life as anything besides a weapon.
The story was never going to get that far. The head of the organization was sick of Ningyo’s disobedience to her final command, murdering someone, and thus threatened if she did not finish the job next time she was given the order, Sango would be killed instead. The dire wolf she had been tending to for the last six years? Was the only pack that Satsu really had and no matter how brainwashed she was, the girl knew this very well. No one actually though the threat would be effective, it was simply a last resort to break a human completely, something no one thought was going to work. However when two of the group member’s got into a fight and each told Ningyo to kill the other in anger believing she would only knock them out? The little girl put a kunai through both of their hearts. Clearly the leader of the organization cleaned up the mess and unless one of them spoke no one would ever know what happened, but now that they had what they desired, a doll that would even kill on command, no one knew what to do with her. Know how sometimes something does not seem as appealing after you obtain it, master it? This is what happened when they found that murder doll was now perfect, of course eventually they would have gotten over it and used her, expect something happened.
The member’s of the organization that had trained Ashi Inuzuka into Satsujin Ningyo suddenly one day began to stop showing up at their hideout where she had been kept away from society for six years. Kurenai watched as days turned into a week and slowly her partner, the only thing she had known for most of her life, slowly began starving to death, became severely dehydrated. Satsu was intelligent but the brainwashing done to her was so intense she no longer had any sense of self preservation and thus refused to move after her owners had told her to stay put, in all likelihood the twelve year old was going to die there. However since they saw each other as pack mates Sango refused to simply watch the only pack member she had simply fade away and die while she was able to do something about it! Thus she left the child there and ventured into the forest looking for someone to bring back who could make her mistress move without harming the girl. After searching for a matter of a day or two at the most she found a man who carried the scent of other dire wolves and chose to lead him along with whoever/whatever happened to be with him to the hideout which held Murder Doll. In spite of the group clearly wanting to explore the creepy crypt like building with care? Sango urged them onwards until they found Satsujin unconscious in the room furthest back. Even a daft man setting eyes on her would easily know the child needed water and food desperately. Shiki took the tween back to the Village In The Cloud so she could be treated for the severe dehydration she was suffering and once the Kage said she could stay, Ningyo was placed into the man’s custody, released from the hospital to his dojo with Sango at her side. This is where her IC story begins.
