Zeri would wait on the outskirts of Kusagakure for anyone else who wanted to join him on his adventure to the border of Earth Country, where he took on the mission to patrol the area for three days and see what happens. He was able to talk a merchant going in that direction to give him a lift with anyone else who was coming along, at least to the border, which from what Zeri had been reading was a good six hours or so there. They wouldn't actually need the cart, but since it was going in the same direction they were, then it was great for convenience; plus he could get a chance to read along the way. The cart was already waiting for them, so he decides to hop in and get comfy while he waits patiently for everyone; his waist pack with the lockpick set, multi-tool, and the three doses of healing herbs gets undone and set to the side. His new pack where he keeps all six of his books gets placed on top of that. The pouches where he puts his senbon and kunai though are still strapped to his thigh; as are the pouches on his arms that hold the shuriken. Ketsueki would be leaned against the cart's side alongside his packs. His black bandage coverings are still nice and wrapped around his whole body, with his mask over his face for cover; headband tied around his forehead as always, his Hakama is currently up and covering his shoulders, as he was just relaxing currently.

Using his packs as makeshift seating, Zeri would lean against the inside of the cart near the open end; for quick getaway if need comes to it. He cracks open the Creature Lore book for urban areas, beginning to read through the passages on the many animals and such that can be found; he was also planning on reading his canine training manual, to see if he could get some furry friends. Though the book here wasn't really listed in the ways the botany books were; those were alphabetical, while this was just a bunch of small stats for each beat one could find. Nothing really all that difficult to understand if you had half the brain for it, and rather simple to memorize in a timely fashion. Most of the urban varieties though were dogs of many kinds, some vermin here and there though, and some other creatures; to think these were roaming around Kusagakure in the shadows.

Though to be honest, this book here wasn't really all that thick, as many creatures can't really coexist with humans as easily as some that are more readily accepted. Though there is usually that one rather odd creature that can easily be seen around human settlements, especially near the graveyards where the dead are buried; such as the Carrion Pecker. A tiny creature of the avian family, related to both Vultures and Woodpeckers... there's a mating season Zeri could do without seeing. Favorite food is indeed the flesh of the dead, so can be seen in graveyards or battlefields, and are rather ravenous to the point a single one could strip a body in a day. They have a natural ability to sense undead, and give off a squawk if one comes within their radius; so carrying these guys would be nice if anyone would be going out to do some undead hunting. They're also easily tamable with the proper food and such, so it's not that hard to get a couple. Kind of hard to find though, so maybe not all that easy to get your hands on them.

While he continued to read, his senses were on high alert, even though he wasn't that good at differentiating certain things at this time. Though his enhanced sense of smell would probably warn him of anyone coming up from behind him if need be, hopefully he would notice it in time. Keeping his eyes into his book, continuing to scan through it for anything else rather interesting; of course there would be some domesticated cats listed here in the book. They had nothing particularly interesting on them though, just damn cats that didn't have many useful things; plus, Zeri was more of a dog person due to their loyalty. The final entry on this chapter though was rather disturbing, a leech like creature that was listed as an abberation, which meant it was something not of the natural world more than likely. Rather horrid creature, that it was, sighing softly before turning the page to get to the next chapter and away from that horrid thing.

Chizu was enjoying her day so far, the day was far from young, she has trained and move quite a bit before she had decided to go on this mission. She had agreed with one of her fellow shinobi’s offers to go on a mission off to the Earth Country borders, the mission details explained that they was to patrol for 3 days before they could return. Truthfully, the child has never been out of the village for a mission yet, so far all the missions she took had been within Kusagakure’s walls, surrounded by civilians and shinobi alike. She knew that she was safe in Kusagakure, but now she knew that she had to be on guard. There was no telling what could happen on the mission, so like any good shinobi, she prepared for the worse and came fully geared. She hoped that it would be a quiet trip, one where she can observe nature in peace to learn about the various animals and critters that live within its foliage.

She had made a stop in the business district to buy a few more supplies with the money she earned from her previous mission, a few books she wanted to study and a new Club in case she needed to bash some heads in. Sadly she had to forgo her Naginata, as much as she would like to use it, she didn’t have any actual experience wielding it in combat. She was more likely to get in the way and hurt herself with the weapon then be any really use. So no pointy pole for her, sadness. Anyways, before heading off to the gates to start her trip, the child made a quick stop at home to inform her mom about what was going on and to grab rations and water for the trip. Her mom wasn’t really happy that she was going off on patrol so soon, but she calmed down when Chizu explained that she was going with 2 stronger shinobi. Hinata was still worried, but it's justified in their business.

Now, Chizu approached the gates, her new club strapped to where she usually had her naginata fastened. Each of her packs was fastened to her belt, one for her kunai, one for her shuriken, and her largest for her books and gadgets. She had on her usual attire, but the girl decided that as soon as she got back she was going to make more clothing for different situations. She wore her village headband tied to her forehead, something she usually doesn’t do. She figured that having her shinobi status out would be more beneficial to leaving without to much any hassle. Along the way she noticed a cart sitting next to the exit of kusa, she wondered briefly if that was where she was supposed to meet with Red eyes.

She spotted Red eyes inside the cart, reading away on some kind of book while the merchant it must have belonged to was near its front. She walked up to the cart casually, motioning to the merchant that she was with Red eyes and moved to the open end of the cart with her hands in her pockets. She glanced up at Red eyes and shot him a quick, ”Yo.” then hopped into the cart and made herself comfortable. She sat across from Red eyes and pulled out her new Creature lore textbook, might as well start reading. She had to admit it’s been awhile since she sat down and read a good long book. This wasn’t a novel, but it still had a sizeable amount of pages that qualifies it as a textbook, she took a quick glance through the index for anything that really stuck out to her, but decided that she will just read the introduction and continue from there.

The Grasslands was a very common region, capable of existing in many different countries in varying degrees of size. Its reasonable that such a area would have a large amount of creatures living in it, so the child knew it was going to be a while before she finished the book. For starters, she flipped back to the index after reading the basic introduction, which had no real information to who wrote in this series. She wanted to start with animals, this book covers monsters as well, but she wanted to save that for later. After some flipping, the child finally got to where she wanted, and began to read. She already knew about the basic grassland animals, such as buffalo, foxes, ferrets and things like that. She was mostly interested in tamable animals, like most canines and some interesting vermin she’s seen others with. She didn’t know how to really take care of them though, so she has a lot of learning to do before then.

During her reading, the child was a little surprised to see that there was some apes in grasslands, when she thinks of apes she usually thought of more forest-y, jungle areas. The apes that seem to hang around in grasslands are apparently carnivorous and very violent, they aren’t exactly common, but they do attack anything and have a taste for human flesh. Chizu found it more interesting than scary, that she might encounter of of these beasts out in her country's lands. Maybe when she gets better at fighting, she should go after one of these beasts. The girl grinned on the inside, a little giddy at the idea of fighting these things. Welp, time would tell, she planned to be on field for years after all. She continued reading about these apes, how they have terrifying looking bloodhound-apedogs, which is cool as hell, and a pretty self-destructive society. Kinda like humans, heh.

Chizu inwardly shook her head at the other, but didn’t really disagree either. Further reading told Chizu that normal apes still existed, just not in grasslands. A shame, she’d like to see some. Her next interest was a bird called Axe beak, like with the apes, Chizu immediately wanted to fight one as she read what it was capable of. Taking down a 7 foot bird would be a lot of fun, but as she read deep she learned that they are even tameable. She played with the thought of riding a giant bird into battle, snorting at the mental image. She passed through some of the more common animals, wanting to find cooler ones like those apes and axe beaks.

During her reading, she would be setting a part of her mind aside to be paying attention to what was going on around her. If Red eyes said anything or not and if the Bug guy had popped up at all. She’s spare a moment to glance if he did, with a small nod before going back to her book.

The scent hit his nose before the sounds came to his ears; the scent of freshly dug earth, and the subtlety of the type of soap that seamstresses use in the washing of new linens before they begin work on them. This would of course be the little one, seeing her jump onto the cart with a little nod of greeting, smiling under his mask as she gets comfortable with a book. They were still waiting on maybe some other people, but if the people took too long then they'd leave without them. Checking to ensure that the child had everything she needed by just sight and smell alone, Zeri would go back to his book with a little exhale of breath. He had some water and food in his pack for those instances he would need them, though he was used to not eating for days at a time... at least the water here was clean.

The next few pages in the book he was reading, were dedicated to the many wild strays of dogs that could be found wandering around the Urban areas. There were many different classifications that he could see; a few that were rather tiny and not really the type of dogs that he wanted as his companions; but there were two entries that did catch his eye, the Guard Dog and the War Dog. These two were rather interesting in that they were rather large breeds usually, and their specialties were what he was looking for. The guard dog has more in the intimidation, which would be great for a few missions where he would require to bring people down and have them arrested; though he should work on that as well... there's also a genjutsu tech where you can make people's fears amplify. Learning that with some skill in intimidation like the Guard dog is; then people would be running away or giving up as is. Though the war dog is more specialized for... huh, according to the book, the Guard dog would be better choices for both dogs in this case, as it is better suited for tracking and has a more intimidating feature set. Perhaps he should get two of Guard Dogs, perhaps a few stray puppies would be wandering around Kusa that he could find and tame.

Again, this book didn't seem to be all that large when it came to the amount of information that it held within it; the next bit of given to him would be about a small creature called an Eye Seeker. These grubby little worms would be found within any region, but was rather rare considering that their favorite meal was readily available; eyes. They could only sense creatures with eyes, so the eye seeker was actually invisible to itself, that was in a way sad and hilarious at the same time. Zeri would prefer to keep his distance from these small creature though; as they were rather creepy and something he would rather not deal with at all. Disgusting creatures, hopefully the people who know how to create these alchemical abominations all die before they can pass on their knowledge.

Scanning through the next few pages, most of what else was here were listings of a few vermin; not even Errmanno would want to keep some of these with him, they were that bad. But the Gargoyle was definitely a creature he would enjoy finding and getting some horns from; the powdered horn could be turned into a potion that would turn the flesh of the imbider into a stone like substance. Course the dust of the Gargoyle could be used to turn others into stone if prepared correctly, so this creature was interesting to find a few and do a few things to. Zeri's eyes would look up from the book at this point to take a look up at the sky, wondering where the other shinobi were; Little Blue across from him and reading her own book for some minutes now. It was going to be a long trip if it was just them, hopefully the others come by soon so they can make their way to the border.

Chizu crossed her right leg under her left and bent the other slightly up in a more comfortable position. She propped the large textbook against her thigh and continued to read, looking for something a little more interesting than the common field rat. She read through a few more entries until one caught her eye, apparently giant badgers could be found in grasslands. Chizu found that interesting since she was sure most badgers lived in the forest, this book says these badgers can be found in many kinds of regions. There were giant creatures that weren’t necessarily hostile, but can dig giant holes that others can fall into and get stuck in. Sometimes the badger would even fill the hole while something is stuck in it. Chizu didn’t like the thought of being buried alive, so she made sure to remember to not explore just any giant hole she finds. Other than that, these things sounded like an interesting animals to hunt, maybe their hides could be used to make some nice leather gear.

Of course, Chizu would need to learn how to cure leather if she does this, paying others to do it costs too much. Other than that, she found more giant birds, besides the axe beak, Beaked Terrors can be found in any area with large prey. These birds were pretty much carnivorous ostriches, without the cowardice against danger. They fight in groups or solo, and are very good hunters, they aren’t afraid to attack people and other predators. Chizu felt herself getting giddy again, these birds sounded like such good fights! The don’t seem to be tameable, but they can do a lot of damage and can pack a good punch. She hopes that she could find one of these things to fight one day, after she gets better at fight that is. Gosh, she really needs to hit the dojo when she gets back to kusa, reading about these creatures is just getting her pumped.

She took a second off the book to scan her surroundings once again, Red eyes was still reading his book, which now that she’s closer she could see was a Creature Lore book like hers. How odd that they would be reading the same series, also Bug guy hasn’t shown up at all. That kinda made her think he wasn’t coming, maybe he was doing a different patrol, Secretary Dude never mentioned that Bug guy was going to the same borders as her. She also wondered that if he didn’t show up, who was? All at once, it hit her.

She doesn’t care anymore.

So back to the book she went, looking for more interesting grassland animals. Eventually she reached the bear section, which she immediately stopped to read. Chizu was really fond of bears, being large powerful animals that can still survive of fruit and plants. The took good care of their young and are very protective in general, but usually won't attack unprovoked either. The book mostly said things she already knew about bears, but Cave bears is what caught her attention. Cave bears are large bears with very long claws, but what caught her fancy was that they was some of the most ill tempered bears in the world. They can attack at any time and was much more deadly than the average bear, and like most bears they can fight viciously even if they are nearly dead. Being able to fight a full power despite hanging on to a few strands of life was an amazing ability, to power through that pain to give everything to a fight. Chizu wants to have tendency like that.

Errmanno being late to the party wasn't too unusual for the bug man. He missed the move out time because time passed him by as he was studying his bugs. It was only because Zeriq had asked him to come did he even volunteer for this mission. With a sigh the bug man of the grass mad his way to catch up with his group at the border. Luckily he had left a bug on Zeriq from their last meeting and he could track the pheromones to them. Not much chance of him getting lost with that.

Errmanno was dressed in his usually get up which looked better in the city than the middle of the woods. His hobo jacket flying out from his rush of movement but his Ant Armor and dark pants fitted to him moved well. He was a lightly armed Shinobi to be sure, but did he need bunch of weapons. What Errmanno lacked in weapons he had in other supplies. His belt while it was able to hold supplies was empty. But his jacket was weighed down with Botany, Creature Lore, and Cultivation Studies Textbooks of the Grasslands. He even had a map of the nation in his pockets. The compass and Pen light in his pants pockets were just basic survival supplies.

His helmet and infravison goggle combination left little exposed. Even his hands were covered in some gloves. And his footwear was the sturdy variety for trekking into the unknown. But this bothered Errmanno not, for it was his Ants that lived in his armor and the Bees that lived in him that were his main weapons. He even had a swarm of chakra bugs that lived nicely within him as well. On his shoulder stayed a perfectly content stick bug. The rest of his arsenal could be gathered from the environment.

Errmanno finally found Zeriq and Chizu. With his usual ways he approached them with his hands up slowly as not to startle them. He didn't make for much conversation but was surprised to find them studying while out on patrol. The patrol must have been a quiet one so far.

Errmanno looked at the cart for a second and then hopped in. As soon as he did so his bugs spread out to explore the cart. His bugs were more curious than he was but then again they had more limited understanding of the world. Only his alpha's stayed behind completely. The Queens of the swarms or the alpha pairs of his insects were the closest things to his heart.

Zeri would be chilling out in the cart with his book, scanning through the information on the dogs once more as he was actually favoring thoughts on getting one or two of these beasts; so that he would have some company, and protection. His nose would pick up the familiar smell of wet soil and what wet rotting bark smells like, not an unpleasant scent; but this meant that Errmanno was close. Raising an arm to give welcome to the quiet one that just now hopped up on the cart, Zeri could see the bugs that were within him exploring, right as the merchant who was willing to give them a ride to the border shows up. This merchant was dealing in some type of products that were stored in barrels, Zeri didn't ask nor care what were in these barrels; and within a few more minutes they were off. The horses in the front were rather strong, as the speed in which they were going they'd make it to the border within a few hours at most.

Going back to his book, he would move passed the pages that he had already finished up and and continues to read on through; though this book was perhaps the shortest thing he had ever read before. There were barely any creatures in the Urban areas that could be within breathing distance to humans without causing a ruckus. Most of what he was reading on were vermin that could be found in places most humans would rather not be found in; graveyards, sewers, slums; places where filth were known to propagate. Zeri looks up to Errmanno as he's reading through these, and wonders if he would be interested in any of the creatures listed here in the book... as it seems quite a few of them were insects in one shape or size as it were. Smiling slightly under his mask, he leans against the side railing of the cart and looks up at the sky, watching the clouds go by as information flows through his brain.

"Well then, we're on our way to getting to the border at least, should make good time if we stay on the cart. Zeri's directional intuition lets him know that they are going in the correct direction for the border of the Earth nation; they were a kill on sight order from the Kage, have been for a while now if he recalled, hopefully for Errmanno and Little Blue they didn't run into anyone. He turns to both of the shinobi who were joining him, and sighs softly; "So do either of you have any experience in combat, or any understanding of combat; if it actually comes down to it?" Errmanno could probably use his insects to do the combat, if anything really, Zeri doesn't know how they work so he can't really judge him on anything. However, Little Blue didn't seem like she had any combat experience save for what shinobi did in the academy.

Chizu flipped through the pages silently, still searching for any cool creatures that she may have missed. She was still very early into the book, have yet to see all that it had to offer, perhaps it's because she kept lingering on cool ones imagining what fighting them or taming them would be like. She couldn’t help it really, she just loves the prospect of fighting too much not to fantasize. She was trying to keep fighting to a minimum until she could afford real training, but the urge to punch something in the face was always strong in the child. The girl really hopes that she can get started with the training soon, she knows that she’s going to need it, badly.

Anyways, back to the book, the passage describing a Campfire Guardian caught her attention. A dog like creature that was ritually made to be super loyal guardians, they didn’t need sleep is was keenly aware of many things, a useful sidekick to and adventure. Or a loyal pet for paranoid rich people, either way these puppies was highly valued and expensive as hell. Chizu knew her meager funds would never be enough to buy one, and even if she did have the money, she’d be using it for other things besides buying a dog. Personally, she didn’t know how to feel about ritually enhanced creatures, it feels a little odd to her, yet it's interesting as well. She wondered if these creatures was born the way they were, or if they was changed as puppies, she also wondered just how much it hurt. The girl shook her head at that and continued to flip the pages.

There was so many kinds of big cats in the grasslands, cheetahs, lions, ...Moors? Chizu didn’t know that grasslands had mythical cats as well, she doubts that she well see one anytime soon. She never really stopped to read about many vermin creatures, but Cathedral beetles took her interest when she flipped to its entry. Giant 9 foot long bugs with amazing crushing power, Chizu figured that they would be a hassle to fight if she encountered one of these. They weren’t smart, but they are pretty strong, but Chizu bets that one day her own grips could have more crushing power. That’ll be a happy day for Chizu, new feats in strength was always welcome.

Chizu looked up when she felt the cart began to move, she looked at the two men that she was going to be traveling with and scanned them both over once more. She wanted to make sure she actually remembers these guys, she doesn’t want her memory failing her at any time during the mission. Even though bug guy was mostly covered up, she feels that she will always be able to recognize him by all the bugs around him, she’s never seen anyone else like that. So her chances of always being correct in the future is pretty high. Chizu looked up fully at Red eyes when he asked them if they had any real combat experience, probably trying to make sure they could hold there own if something happens. Chizu shook her head lightly, ”I have no real fighting experience. Was going to study under one of the Masters at the training grounds, but I needed ryo to pay them. I hope to gain a little more experience on what I do know during this mission.” she spoke flatly, speaking in quiet, short bursts. She was aware that they could be killed on this mission, she knew Earth was pretty much enemies with everyone. She had no fear of death however, if it comes to both of the guys going down and her minimum skills not being enough, then oh well.

Errmanno shrugged a bit. He didn't have any real battle experience but he wasn't completely unprepared. " I am not a combat type. Scout and tracking are my specialties. " He then quieted down and sat back. He closed his eyes and allowed his bugs to be his senses now they were on their way. His bees spread out and were exploring around him. This gave him a radius of about 20 meters. 

Errmanno was a fairly lazy at this point. But he was ready to handle whatever was thrown at them. His bugs being the main weapon and defense he had. His Ants were crawling all over the cart while the Chakra bugs stayed wondering near his body. While spiders in the woods around them migrated towards the cart. It was all micro world movement around him.

Looking around the cart, Zeri would put his book away into his new pack before listening to both of his partners speaking of their experiences and what they were good at... which amounted to no combat experience; and Little Blue didn't have anything going for her combat wise at all. Errmanno at least had his insects to utilize, and he would be a wonderful scout for anything that could be hiding around them in the brush. That paired with Zeri's nose, they could hopefully notice any stone ninja that were coming up to them; and he would have to either kill or knock them out. Get some answers from them if they could be interrogated, would depend on the stone ninja entirely. He leans against the side of the cart and closes his eyes; wondering how this whole ordeal will go and if they will encounter any danger at all.

Probably should do some more training once he got home from the mission though, nose working better with his eyes closed to take in the different scents around them. Maybe he should take a bit of a rest before they get to the border, wondering what's going through the other's minds as the cart rolls along without much of a care. The scenery around the cart was actually wonderfully smelling; the trees were beginning to change into the colors of autumn, the damp soil was releasing the wonderful scent that it had. Creatures were everywhere around them, hidden, but their scents gave them away to the cunning nose of Zeri. Yes, this was incredibly boring as there was nothing to do in the cart while they were traveling, but with enough speed; and maybe these two will start talking on their own about something.

After all the reading that she just did, Chizu felt pretty confident in her knowledge of grassland creatures, sure she didn't finish the entire book, but she can do that later on her on time. So instead of reading anything else from the book, the child instead started observing the world around her as it moved. She had to prep herself up on her knees to do so, but once she had a little more height to her, the child started observing the environment around her. It was pretty much what you would expect from the land of grass. Incredibly tall grass that hid all manner of critters, tall trees that had changed from the typically green to all those wonderful little shades of autumn. She could see all kinds of plants, some tangled against the trees, others sprouting out from all sorts of nooks and crannies. She had no clue what most of them was though, whether they was poisonous or not and stuff like that. She really needs to fix that, not knowing if she was grabbing herbs or poisonous plants was sure to get her killed fast outside the village. Of course, she had nothing to really tell her what any of these plants are, she either has to find someone to teach her or go buy a book.

And the child already can sense many books in her future.

Shaking her head a little, Chizu tried to see if she could spot any small animals in the grasses, hopefully one that won't cause any trouble for them though. Like a small fox, she'd love to get a good look at a fox in it's own habitat, and not those exotic pets that some of her mother's richer customers had. Poor things, other than that, she also tried to spot any colorful birds. She had wanted to see if she can get a good enough look that she can recreate them on paper later, after that she would try her hand as stitching bird designs into her clothing. While she could just look at books for that, she really wanted to see the real thing and observe it for awhile. She thinks it will help better with the creative process.

After watching the scenery for some time, Chizu would turn her attention to all the bugs that Bug guy was letting crawl around. She watched the bees as they buzzed around out and in the cart, then looked down at the interesting ants and other bugs crawled around on the floor. She tilted her head to the side curiously, Chizu didn't know a lot about bugs or the kind that ninja's liked to use. She knew they was like weapons for some people who could control them, but she doesn't know how they manage to tame them. It probably was just a clan or bloodline thing, Chizu didn't know much about clans or bloodlines, having nothing special running through her blood that she knows of. She long since figured that Bug guy was from a clan, but she doesn't remember reading about any bug clans in Kusa...but she doesn't remember a lot of stuff anyways.

...who the hell are these people anyways? She knows that they are her allies, she's trained with them before, but serious what are their names? ...meh, whatever.

Chizu went back to watching Errmanno's bugs and occasionally staring out at the scenery.

Errmanno started to doze. He wasn't completely unaware of his world but he was just enjoying the sounds of the life around them in the woods and grasses. The buzzing of his bees and the work of his ants were joyous sounds to him. He really joined this escapade on a whim. He barely knew the people he was traveling with. Zeriq was some sort of taijutsu person, and looks to at least have some combat experience.

That was good, but Errmanno was planning on staying out of combat. He was currently playing with a spider that was crawling over his hands as he turn them this way and that. It was entertaining, but also it kept his most potent weapon in hand. For what few people think about was the fact that most spiders, heck, most insects are poisonous to some degree. And while Errmanno is resistant or immune to most venoms other people well are less so.

His eyes would scan at the two who would be otherwise busy with their own thoughts to strike up conversations with each other or himself; sighing softly as he thinks that he may have to instigate this himself. His body was beginning to ache though, he wasn't the type of person to stay still for so long without some form of freezing in his bones and/or muscles. Thinking about it though, there was much room in the wagon with the amount of provisions the merchant had with him as well as the stock of merchandise, and the three of them; so he didn't have much choices when it came to training at this time. Though he could think of one thing he could do in this situation, his weight wasn't all that much to tip of the wagon if it came to that, and it's not like he would be in any danger if he did. Cracking his neck, he would give a smile underneath his mask, not needing much of a mental discussion since he was certifiably crazy to begin with when it came to his training; and he had little regard for himself as it was. Also it would be kind of fun to see if either of them would react in any other way besides blank stares.

Without much thought or tell tale movement of his body; Zeri makes it so his entire body just soars over the side of the cart, his eyes closed as if he was in a deep meditative trance. His body would bend in a way so that he would easily clear the side without touching it save for the end when his feet would come into contact. At that last second his feet would leave the wagon completely, he would hook them into the open paneling, using the strength of his ankles to keep him attached to the wagon with... some effort on his part; next step was for him to train his ankles to be a bit tougher. But now he was hanging off the side of the wagon, his feet holding him up and parallel with the side of the vehicle that was now traveling a bit faster; maybe the Merchant was in a bit of a rush to get to the Border within a certain time frame. This was certainly a different viewpoint than what he was used to, upside down and moving at the speed of a double horse drawn wagon... he could get hurt if he wasn't careful.

Now that he was here and upside down, he begins to breathe rather steadily; taking in the air slowly and within a certain patterned interval. He centers himself and goes back into his mind, feeling around for words that would be best to say to people, instead of being silent and keeping to himself. As he centers himself, he begins to curl up with his abdomen, his abs actually being some of the more worked part of his body; continuing to raise himself until his upper body was parallel with his lower. His flexibility was something else, though he was still unable to bend in certain ways, there was only so much the male body was able to do without proper training to it. Now he would lower himself back down without much thought until he was fully straight once again, only to begin the rise up once more; doing these pull up crunches without really much effort it would seem.

Chizu stared out at the scenery, inwardly unhappy that should could find any animals amongst the high grass. She had hoped she'd have more luck than that, bit then again, was she ever particularly lucky? The child turned from the window to stare at Red eyes, noticing that he just went out the opening in a flash. She dared to raise an eyebrow when he hung off the cart, the only thing being visible was his feet. The child hmm'd, appreciating that someone else besides her was willing to train during the most random times.

Now that he was busy with his training, the child directed her curiosity to the Bug man again, more specifically the thing he was paying attention to in his hands. Usually the child was fine with just looking, but she was always looking to learn something knew and knew that this man was as talkitive as her. So she took the initiative to satisfy her curiousity, "What kind of spider is that?" her monotone voice broke the relative silence, "And why do you have it? Is it useful to shinobi?" Her expressionless eyes peered up to the man. Sitting crisscross to face him entirely.

Entomology covers the identification of insects involved in the process of decomposition and their habits. To estimate the time of death, the player needs to make a check with a Difficult Check. The more they exceed this check by, the more accurate the placing of the time of death. If Failed, Characters use this check to formulate an opinion; this can only be reassessed if new information arises, or if they have cause to question their findings. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.

Errmanno looked down at the child and cracked open an eye. He pondered for a moment on why this child was so liked by Zeriq more so why she was with them. He mentally shrugged as she asked a question of this quiet insect man. He looked like a man living on the streets and had a lazy nature but insects were interesting to him. So he finally straighten up a bit as he began to speak.

"What kind of spider is that?" her monotone voice broke the relative silence, "And why do you have it? Is it useful to shinobi?" Errmanno spoke up. "This spider is a Goliath birdeater, one of the largest spiders around. He is a kind of Tarantula. I have this one for the fun of it. But spider's are very useful in my shinobi way. Most are venomous and a great majority are predators. "

"I use them for Eyes and Ears out and about. More so they and the other insects respond easily through pheromones. And I can direct hundreds if not thousands of insects with my chakra. " That was the most Ermmanno had spoken in awhile. His voice unused to speaking was slightly raspy from ill use. Errmanno though had not problem talking about his family of insects.

Game Master Info:

The cart ride down the countryside is a long and curious one; nothing seems out of the ordinary save for the three passengers that would be within the back of it. They each have their own oddities about them, but the merchant chooses to ignore them as he continues along. A few hours would pass on by without much incident; Zeri would be training, and Errmanno would either answer questions about insects from Chizu, or would be sleeping. Chizu on the other hand seems to be interested in the world around them now that she was outside of the Kusa gates. There was another two hours before the group would reach the border, and their mission would truly start then and there.

Zeri's post:

After some time had passed, Zeri would flip himself into the cart and sit back against the bags that he had leaning against the wall. His abs were slightly sore from the pull up crunches, but nothing that he wasn't used to, though he had left these two alone for some time; they seemed to have gotten along alright. He smiled under his mask and covers his eyes from the afternoon sun in the sky as he looked up, it was a beautifully clear sky without so much of a cloud. The sounds of insects were getting louder around them; though Zeri was sure that this was because of Errmanno in some way. Hell, the little creatures were almost crawling around the wagon, and he could smell the pheromones that Errmanno gave off to the insects in the forest around them. He would be a great asset when it came to scouting and making sure the area within a certain distance was clear of anything that was hostile and could mean them harm.

Little Blue on the other hand, she showed the regular signs of a child who was outside the walls this far for the first time; looking around and trying to learn as much as she was able to. To be honest, he hadn't been out here for a few years, though he didn't have much memory of where he was when he was picked up by the Kusa shinobi and brought back. Perhaps he should take a stroll at some point and see if he can find the area where he was and find whatever remains of the Pitt; perhaps there would be something there for him to learn a bit more about himself. First thing though was to get this mission underway, but damn was it taking forever and a half to get to the border this way.. would have been faster to just run there.. maybe. It was still good to have a rest every now and then, plus Errmanno may not be able to keep up with Zeri and Little Blue.

Chizu listened carefully to the Man's explanation on his spider, looking at the tarantula with great interest. This was the first time she heard about ninja's using pheromones to control insects, was smell just that powerful in the insect world? She knew that animals release pheromones for various reasons, to mark territory, to show when they are ready to mate, and things like that. But it figures it goes deeper than what she knew. Pushing that aside, she continued to listen and ponder over the man's explanation, about also using his chakra to manipulate insects and use them for scouting, and combat if most of his bugs were venomous. She can see how they can be used for combat easily enough, a swarm of tiny bees that are fast and can get into armor gaps easily, spiders can have deadly bites and their webs can be great, if they're strong enough. Anyways, the child can see why this is something this man has invested much of his time too, she doubts that she could manage so many little lives effectively. She can only just barely take care of herself after all.

She busied herself on asking more questions about his bugs, like how he feeds them all and keeps them healthy, how many kinds of ants he has, and how much more resilient they are compared to when they aren't reliant to a human. As time passed and her attention shifted to other things, she decided to try out a trick she had seen one of her older cousins use once before. They hadn't really explained what they did, but they did tell the girl that they used chakra to do it. Unhelpful sloths. She heard the other mutter, mental frowning at the voice that barred some resemblance to her own. She said nothing of course, the voice in her head wasn't off on her statement, those cousins of hers was quite a bunch, even if she doesn't see them often. Leaning back into the cart's wall, she thought about what she was about to try. She was going to take one of her shuriken and toss it up gently, with enough power to get a decent arch, and let it hit the cart only a 1 foot away from where she started the toss. It was gonna be a steep U path, which should allow Chizu to track it easily enough to make sure her jutsu worked.

Shifting in her spot, Chizu put her weight on her knees, then sat down on her crossed legs. As she mentally went over what handsigns she knew the jutsu required, she also looked for a spot devoid of any bugs so she doesn't accidentally hit any of Bug guy's bugs. She thinks their cool and would rather not crush any under her weapons blade, that would probably make many things mad at her within this confined space. Once she finally got a relatively clear spot devoid of bugs, with a big enough area that if she's slightly off, it wouldn't hurt anything. Triple checking just in case, Chizu drew one singular Shuriken, holding it confidently in her hand and made the hand seal she remembered seeing her cousin uses. She focused her chakra into the weapon, making sure that she kept herself focused on her goal. She was going to use her chakra to make this shuriken reverse it's path of flight, hopefully landing back into her hand correctly. After making sure the shuriken was properly focused, Chizu flicked the shruiken up steeply, making it fly up and down in short, a nearly straight path. Just before the weapon hit the floor, Chizu held the handseal and recalled it.

Watching in mild satisfaction, the weapon stopped before hitting the ground and immediately reversed its arch, flying up and back to Chizu exactly how she threw it. Once it finished it's path, Chizu caught the weapon before it hit her thigh. Though she was quite satisfied with how that went, her facial expression didn't change an inch, nor did her eyes really gain any glint from her emotion. The only real indication that she was happy was that she simply 'felt' happy or gave off a slightly happy aura. Really it depends on if anything is good at sensing people's emotions. Anyways, Chizu rolled her shuriken in her hands carefully, planning to see what else the jutsu could do when she wasn't confined in a cart. Although, her cousin did mention that it was a pretty straightforward jutsu that does what it does with little variation.

The child was sure she would find some use for it.

Errmanno would continue to talk about insects until it was obvious the child wasn't paying any more attention. He could go on all day about the lives and habits of spiders or Bees. But they were the only things in his arsenal. Ants now they had tons of strength for their small size. And if one knew how to manipulate the alpha's all the drones follow. It was literally a weapon of thousands or more.

Errmanno would eventually just laze his two hours to the border playing with his various insects. At some portions of the journey he had out a Queen bee, who controlled his hive that was his body. Then at a different time the Queen Ant of the Army of his Armor made a regal appearance. She was truly a large specimen of an Ant. No wonder she controlled a massive colony with many slave ants of other species.

Errmanno's Chakra Bug pair were an unassuming couple no different from their brethren to other's eyes. It was only Errmanno who could see the differences in his various insects. He even had names for several of his various insects. They were his obvious favorites and choice specimens. Errmanno was just a wee bit obsessed with his insects but no wonder with his family.
