On the far outskirts of the land of tea sits an archipelago. The most southern and smallest island of the chain is Kika island. Landing on a small fishing port there really didn't seem anything out of the ordinary. The architecture was normal. The sun was warm and hovering over the sea and the village. The air was humid but the strong easterly winds blew across the docks leaving the fresh taste of salt water and the smell of brine resonating in the air. Small boats of fishermen dropped lobster cages and nets in the clear crystal blue water.
Everything seemed like something cut from a magazine. Palm trees and white sand beaches covered the landscape. Rustic locals going about their daily lives in paradise as they continued with their daily tasks. Along the beach all manner of sea life could be seen from the docks. Bright red crabs scuttled across the white sand, sea turtles swam underneath the wooden bridge and bright coral could be seen along the outer reef. The locals from a distance seemed too engrossed in their daily tasks to even notice your presence.
The town itself was rather large considering the size of the island. There was a lighthouse towards the top of the hill over looking the town. A small market place filled with people peddling foods, goods and wares. Restaurants and cafes checkered the area. Clothes lines hung between all the buildings displaying interesting clothing. There was of course... a Bar. This bar was called the Grand Mariner. A small cozy lit place that was about the size of a Tennis court. It was well lit and there were a couple patrons outside sitting at some tables enjoying a drink.
There were a lot of places for him to look around and try and find someone to tell him more about this place and how it seemingly kept itself hidden for so long.
All in all the town seemed perfectly normal. But there was an adventure to be had here somewhere. The only question is: where to start?
