Hey everyone, Kato here!

I'm new to this site but not completely new to Naruto RP'ing in general, I used to RP on a forum some time ago and am very excited to discover this forum, it looks very well designed and fun!

I've gave the player's handbook a partial read but it is a whole lot of new info to process so any help with character creation and/or general tips to hit the ground running would be much appreciated, thanks!

First of all welcome to the site!

If you have any questions or need help with anything feel free to ask me or pm me whenever.

What I would recommend first for character creation is sort of come up with a general theme for your character. For example - Ninjutsu focused? Genjutsu focused? Taijutsu? Blood limit or clan focused? A combination of two of them?

Once you have a pretty good idea I'd ask around. Myself or other members can help kinda show you some of the clans, ninjutsu or taijutsu combat styles that will make your general idea into something that most realistically translates to what you want to do on site.

Next I'd look through the geography thread at the villages and countries and pick one that most fits your character or your characters story. Everything in this site is an alternate universe. So the whole world is free game for the most part. You can be a ninja from a hidden village. Even a non ninja, a swordsmith, a wandering ronin looking for work or contracts. It's pretty open world.

When I first joined I simply wanted to make a ninja that specialized in lightning ninjutsu and my build has just grown organically as I RP'd and learned the site more.

Role playing in general. Especially role playing here is more of a marathon then a sprint. You don't need to know where you want to be at a full build, you don't really need to understand what a full build looks like either.
