The wind whipped blue hair, making the strands fly back as it tried to stay attached to the tan head it was connected too. An inpassive frown stretched across a young face, the top have covered by the dark lense of a pair of goggles. Silver hoops dangled harshly from the child’s ears, contrasting the dark colors of most of her clothes. She had her cloak set open around her shoulders, held together by a small button so that it didn’t go flying off with each sharp turn to avoid trees and rocks in her path.
She was decked out in her usual Shinobi gear, her dark blue sleeveless turtleneck and baggy pants tucked into light high sandals. Bicep high gloves that had pouches strapped around her muscles, ending in fingerless opening. Her large duffle back was straining against her shoulder as it lagged behind her with her other loose articles, full of all of the random junk she likes to keep on her person. Her Naginata and Great Hammer was strapped to her back, keeping some of her cloak from bellowing, and her two short spears where strapped to her belt, per usual.
The girl had a hand resting on her Naginata’s pole, cyan eyes watching intently from behind her goggles as she nears a small group of trees. She eyed them carefully as the distance between the two closed rapidly, grip tightening harder as she prepared herself to draw her weapon. Her plan was to slice through the trees as cleanly as she could as she passed them, hoping that her timing would be just right to not swing incorrectly and possibly break her wrists or her blade. She’d have to time this at the last minute, since she’s treating this as training for her quick draw as well as increasing her mastery of the Naginata.
She had received a letter from her elder cousin earlier this month, about her request for him to teach her a style that she can gain a true expertise in her Naginata in. He was the only polearm user she knew that was far more skilled than her, so it was a no brainer that she’d seek him to be her martial master. The bigger issue was that he wasn’t in Kusa right now, instead off in Taki or something on a long term mission. She didn’t know the details, nor did she care to know, but what she does know is that she’ll have to wait a indefinite amount of time before he can actually come home to teach her.
This is why she decided to do further training on her own, improve her skill the only was she knows how until her cousin arrives back in Kusa. Which is why she was riding through the wilderness outside of her village, zipping through trees and driving over lakes. Her skill with her board is fresh and not the best, and her village is simply too compact for her to ride at full speed without worrying about hitting anyone or crashing into buildings.
Let along train at doing combat while riding.
So the wilderness it is, sure there may be a few travelers and a couple of critters she needs to not run over, but otherwise the grasslands was the perfect open area to ride in and train at. It's nice and empty too, no other shinobi that she has to train with like on training grounds, and if there was bandits or rouges around, she can probably out speed them on her board if she pushes it hard enough.
But back to the main event of course.
Chizu tensed further feeling as if time was moving in slow motion as the target inched closer and closer to her, little critters skittering out of the way as the speedy shinobi floated over the grass as it parted violently against the tip of her board and the forceful air crushing it into the ground as it kept her a float. In a flash, Chizu drew her Naginata and sliced through the trees as she passed, her bald cut straight through the trunks of the row of trees.
