It was a warm day , the lack of clouds in the sky allowed the sun to beat it's rays fully. Shida shielded his eyes from the intense light as he looked out across the plains. The grass stretched for miles, an emerald ocean as far as the eye could see. The grass was tall, rising to thigh level. A slight breeze blew past him, the fresh air providing a moments relief from the intense heat. His robe danced in the wind and the blades of grass all bowed to the gust like a massive kingdom accosting their king. He couldn't help but enjoy the cool air, a sigh of contentment releasing from his lips. After taking in the moment he continued on his way. He would walk about a mile out before settling in an area with more leveled ground.
Once he settled on his location Shida began going through his pre-training routine. Earlier that morning he had taken laps across the village, so that was done. For now he would turn to a series of push-ups, sit-ups, squats and stretches. After working up a decent sweat, Shida took to setting the dummy up. The purpose for this venture into the meadow was to train a technique he had seen once before from one of the older shinobi. It was a quick paced taijutsu technique that utilized the cover of the grass coupled with the speed and ferocity of a shinobi to strike a victim quickly from different angles. It was just the sort of thing Shida would use. Although Shida was a taijutsu specialist he was not overly muscular. Shida had the toned body of a dancer. What he lacked in size and intimidation he made up for in agility and speed. Shida was incredibly quick on his feet and thanks to the training he received from his father he had also honed his reflexes.
Shida planted the dummy In the grass. It was a simple wooden pike holding up a human shaped doll stuffed with what could only be assumed was hay. It wasn't nearly as useful as a live sparring opponent but it would do for now. After ensuring the dummy was stable he leaped backwards and dropped himself low to the ground. His eye level just above the top of the grass. Reaching into his bag he retrieved a Kunai knife. While holding it blade down he began to circle the dummy slowly. He was like a shark amidst a sea of green. Silently moving outside the preys peripheral vision, a silent killer waiting to take it's prey. Suddenly a breeze broke across the plains once more, and just like that Shida sprang to life.
