Today marked the day of Hamura's first real mission, something many Genin considered to be the first notch on the pole that was their Shinobi career. For him, this was not really the case. Given the things he had already done up until now, doing a little mission was not something he was all that bothered with. In fact, he was more or less looking forward to it, knowing that a few missions would look good on his resume and would bring in some money. At first, money was one of the last things on his mind, though things had changed a lot over the last two months, changed in ways that he could have never foreseen even if he tried.
At first, Hamura got a bunch of beaks to feed, namely those of the family of grey-cheeked thrushes and Hiroto, the peregrine falcon he had been attempting to train after it touched down on his property so skinny he could actually see his skeletal structure. In the upcoming month, one in which the young Shinobi spent an increased amount of time in and around the village for the first time since his grandfather passed away, he had a run-in with a bunch of pickpockets that he ended up taking in. That said, they were welcome to stay until they stole from him or anyone else, at which point he would turn them over to the authorities in a heartbeat.
This was the kind of person Hamura was, a composed individual with a pragmatic approach to life. He had always considered the law to be what kept people from regressing into thugs and low-life murderers, which was part of why he had given the three brothers and their sister the chance to stick around with him in order to better their lives and keep them from ruining that of others. And it was for these people that he was glad that he had a somewhat indulgent personality, yet prayed that they would not do anything to see his ruthless side once they broke the promise that had been made to him.
