Hungry Like The Wolf |
//Enter The sun peeked high in the sky, casting a bright glow upon the village below. The snowflakes dotting the ground sparkled as the sun’s rays hit them, giving off a warm setting despite the chilly wind that snaked its way through the streets of Takigakure no Sato. Today, Takigakure no Sato appeared somewhat quiet, with a trickle of villagers walking the streets and shop-keepers observing the public from inside the warmth of their stores. It was understandable considering it was winter and the weather wasn’t exactly the warmest to be in. The soft roar of the ever-flowing waterfall was but a distant sound in the background while the large tree looming over the village and clouds continued their battle of attempting to block out the sun’s rays. A small shadow passed overhead, shrouding the village in a moment of shade before the sun broke through and won reign once more. I glanced upward, thankful for the brief relief from the sun. I hated the sun now and wished for an eternal darkness, that way I would no longer feel the bloody pain from the sun’s rays. Sigh. Glancing down at myself, I brushed off a small clump of snow from my pure white kimono and tucked both my hands into the sleeves, linking my hands together. My bare feet made small indents into the snow as I casually made my way down the street, keeping to the shadows and shelters of the buildings surrounding me. It had been quite a while since I had left my home and gone for a walk. I was growing thirsty and had been searching for prey. However, with a scarce amount of people roaming the streets, a good meal was hard to come by. I had a single knife strapped to my right thigh hidden from view beneath my Kimono skirt; I felt no need to carry anything else since after all, when you have super strength and fangs, weapons aren’t exactly uppermost in mind for when it came to protection. My long silver hair billowed gently in the chilled breeze, creating a veil across my features and blocking my bright pink eyes from view. My ruby red lips pulled back into a smile as I inhale deeply. I was so thirsty yet nobody was around for me to feed on. Just where is everyone? Wolf of the Falls |
