Having returned to his room above the tavern after a having spent a lot of time and put in a lot of effort into uncovering a stolen Idol that seemed to have great religious and cultural value for the Serosian people that lived far from the Shinobi continent, the first thing he had done was hide the Idol by loosening a wooden plank and placing it underneath it. There, no one would be able to get to it, at least not as long as Hamura was there to keep it safe. Once he had hidden it, he stalled out his weapons by the sink and took off his dirty clothes. In that moment, all he had really been looking forward to was taking a nice and hot shower to wash the blood, grime and dirt off of him as there was quite a lot of it on him.

As he let the warm water cleanse his skin of all the filth that had accumulated on it, he thought about the last thing Atkor, the pirate leader and former Shinobi had told him before he died at his hands was that not everything had been as it seemed. He clearly stated that Hamura had done "just as He wanted him to". While ominous, his words had been less open to interpretation than he had thought as the young Shinobi already had a pretty clear idea regarding to whom he had been speaking of. Throughout his time in the Fang, the only one with any actual power had been Juuro, the ex-politician that still controlled a good amount of people and had quite a load of money.

While most of it had likely been gathered through bribes, Hamura knew that a lot of the money he had had been attained by him selling the Serosian Idol to a wealthy collector on the continent. Before Hamura had Juuro turn on Atkor, it seemed that the pirate leader had already made his own plans for the Idol and believed he no longer needed Juuro to act as a front for his illegal enterprises. On the contrary, it seemed that Atkor had forged new alliances with other politicians in the country, meaning he would not need to take the Idol to the mainland for Juuro after all. This likely meant that the collector that had already paid good money for it was not getting his cut, in turn meaning Juuro needed to get the Idol back.

But that was something Hamura could not agree to. Even though he was a free spirit that did not like to be bound to one place or one village, that did not mean that he was okay with participating in illegal activities for the sake of making money. As he dried himself off in the shower and changed into some clean clothes, Hamura wondered how he was going to find the remains of Kharal, the diplomat of the Serosian people now that Atkor could not point him to the exact spot himself. All he knew now was that he was dead, and had been dead for some time, meaning Kharal's body would be hard to find considering the corpse had been dumped along with a lot of other people they killed and dropped over the years. Still, he would need to try and get the remains at some point.

Starting to clean his weapon now that he himself was clean, he made sure none of his weapons were chipped, treated those that were with his new whetstone so he could continue making use of them. Within a time frame of fifteen minutes, he had cleaned, sharpened and put all of his weapons back into their loaders and sheathes where they belonged. By the time he put his pants on, he noticed something through his window. Looking down, it seemed that men dressed in black were entering civilian homes and holding weapons pointed at the people they shoved outside as a means of keeping them in check. Whatever was going on, he couldn't help but feel like it was in some way related to the Idol he had taken.

Putting on his clothes before one of the invaders could get to the tavern, Hamura felt like he had a moral obligation to help the people in the town. After all, in his attempts at fixing something broken most of them did not even know about, he had inadvertently put their lives in danger too. Equipping his belt and scabbard, putting on his gear and his still filthy cloak, he shoved the nightstand just a bit to the side to completely cover the plank that hid the Idol. And with that, he opened the window and stepped onto the roof. Wondering whether any of the others training at the Dojo might be nearby or not, he figured that he couldn't really wait for them to get to him as this was something that might not happen at all. Right now, he had to do whatever he could, and that was seeing to the safety of the villages.

The Plot so far:

The villagers of Port Porthos are being forced out of their house by several small task forces of trained Shinobi dressed in black. Not much else is known about them, least of all their motives, though it is believed that they are after the Serosian Idol hidden in the Tavern. As of right now, the goal is to save the town and the townsfolk and see as little innocent blood spilled as possible. After that, figuring out why they came and where they came from becomes the next priority.

There are a few blocks between the house raids right now, and a task force of three man per house are moving through the town one building at a time. In total, there seem to be four to five different groups actively kicking people out of their homes and threatening them at sword point.

Invigorating Pain

Effect: When sustaining a wound, rather than succumbing to the pain, the user becomes more alert as the high enhances the users senses.

Drawback: The user still experiences pain as everyone else, including its debilitating effects, making the experience horrible in a way. This technique does not free the user from the detrimental and lethal effects of wounds and pain. If the user for example sustains an S-ranked wound they will be able to block out the pain for certain time, this does however not prevent the user from dying as a result of the wound before this time limit runs out.
Description: The more the user flirts with death, the larger the risk, the larger the reward. When hurt the user goes ‘misty eyed’ as the rush takes control. Some become extremely aggressive, whereas others retract themselves within their mind and become ruthlessly efficient. The rank of the wound, whether sustained or inflicted, determines how much the user gains. Once wounded the he user will be able to block out the pain of a wound up to the rank learned plus the pain of any subsequent wounds. In addition the pain activates the users fighters instinct, raising the awareness of the user. The world becomes a brighter place as everything lights up and colours intensify. The user becomes exceptionally sensitive towards motion, being able to spot a fly a several tens of meters away, gaining a +5 bonus to Observation checks when this jutsu is active per rank of wound sustained. This sharpening of all senses allows the user to more expertly sense when an attack is coming by. Within a range of ten meters per rank learned the user is able to sense if an attack is incoming, preventing the user from being caught unaware. The user is not able to sense incoming attacks from opponents that are higher ranked than the rank of this jutsu learned, plus the rank of wound sustained. When first hurt these effects kick in for the duration of three rounds, After these effects have worn off the user has to wait four turns again before being able to use this effect again.

Quite some time had passed since the return of the twins in their motherland. They had been travelling for so long that it  almost didnt feel like home the moment they entered their house. Dust had been gathering all over the various furnishings making it  seem almost abandoned. They were not looking forward to cleaning that place up, that was for sure. A quick look between the two needed no words - they needed an excuse to get out of the house and worry about cleaning it up some other time.


Lmost as if fate had planned it, a shinobi working directly under the kage immediatly appeared behind the two , carrying an important l etter from the kage herself. Getting a letter directly handed from one of the kage's guards was a serious thing indeed. Kael didnt hesitate for a moment and the second he picked it up the shinobi would disappear into the darkness of the night.

The letter indicated that the twins were requested to head over to porthos and stop the bandits that were causing distress and chaos in the city. Their reasons were not writtei in the letter, nor who they were or who they were led by - for the moment , however, they didnt care . They had a mission and they w ere ready to get their hands dirty after a long a nd boring journey back home.

The town of porthos wasnt too far but it would still take them a few hours before reaching it. They would immediatly start running - for time was of the essence, and to shorten said time they would use their power of nenyana through self inflicted injuries to further boost their speed.

Effect: A variation of the normal Ryūkansen (Dragon Spiral Strike), the swordsman is in motion (and airborne in one particular case) while spinning. This causes the user to use the force of the spinning to draw the sword at lightning speed.

Description: User can use this technique to avoid an attack if need be. If user is attacked high the user may duck down while spinning their body attacking mid range. If the user is attacked low the user may jump forward while spinning their body. User lunges their sword forward to spin their sword into the opponent. If the user misses, the force of the attack follows with a range forced attack launching a cork-screw wave of force that is the size of the user's body. Depending on the user's class level depends on the strength of the technique.

With no time to waste, the young Shinobi moved along the rooftop of the tavern before jumping from it to a roof across the street. The five meters between the rooftops meant nothing to him, as he had received plenty of training when it came to knowing how to leap accurately over fair distances at a time. Keeping this new enemy in his gaze, he waited for two of them to enter the building, leaving one of them outside to watch the civilians. During his time in the dojo, he had allowed his mind to do a lot of studying by watching some of the other students fight. Aside from that, Hamura was known to open up a book or two in his free time, which had allowed him to grasp the basics of various sword and taijutsu arts.

While his mind understand the basic mechanics, he had never actually tried to pull it off by trying it out and testing it in the field. Even though it was dangerous to use untrained techniques, he did not see any alternatives at this point as using Ninjutsu this close to civilians could get them caught in the crossfire as well, and that was not something he would be able to forgive himself for. Due to his own good intentions, he had already caused these people to be put in harm's way, so getting them killed for that same reason was not going to happen today. Drawing his Tanto, he jumped up from the roof once he had gained enough speed, using it to build up even more momentum once gravity started pulling him back down to the earth even faster.

With his weapon tightly clutched in his fist, he put his off-hand near the bottom of the handle before striking it down at the man holding two young girls and an older man at sword point. By the time the man even noticed what was going on, Hamura was already on top of him, bringing his Tanto down and splitting his skull nearly in half with a clean, cleaving cut. Using his knees to drive the man's body into the ground, he effectively used it to cushion his own fall. Stepping in between the civilians and the front door, he figured the two Shinobi searching the house would soon be in the street to check up on the noise. Telling them to run to the tavern for shelter, he wasn't sure if it was going to be the best place to send children, though it was bound to be more safe than staying out in the streets.

An hour had passed and thanks to their powers of nenyana - the young couple were able to reach the outskirts of the town. The information they had at their disposal were scarce. They knew that the citizen were being threatened by this group of unknown people. They didnt know how skilled they were, who they worked for nor their numbers.

They also knew that another shinobi working for cloud was in the city, but they had no way of contacting him nor had they knowledge of who he or she was.
regardless, it was night and thye wanted to use it to their advantage.  Remaining in the outskirts, hidden from sight - the twins decided it was best to send their two shadows in the town, using the cover of dark to gather up some intelligence before heading in themselves.

Their main objective for now was to find out the number of hostiles in the area. The presence of the other ninja wasnt their priority they didnt even know if he would be useful to them so for now they decide d that acting alone would be in their best interests. As she shadows  aproached completly camouflaged by the natural shadows of the many buildings and bushes in the city they would begin to head toward the loud screams they could hear.

As expected, not long after the civilians made a run for it, the first hostile Shinobi left the building in order to check out what had happened outside. When he saw the running civilians, he had not even noticed that one of his own was laying dead on the floor with his head almost split completely down to his shoulders. By the time he did see it though, he shouted for the man inside of the house to get his ass out on the streets, hoping to quickly turn the tide by fighting him two against one. While clever, Hamura wasn't one for just waiting around and letting him call for aid without responding to it. Even though he was far from being a master Shinobi, he did know how to fight, and that had to count for at least something in his mind.

And so, as the man had just finished shouting and was going for his weapon, Hamura had already started closing the distance rather quickly. By the time his enemy had properly drawn his sword, all he could really do to stop the encroaching young ninja was make a defensive swing in hopes of keeping him at a distance, after which he could put up a more educated counter offensive. This was, however, exactly what Hamura had aimed for. Ducking low underneath the blade, he now had the man where he wanted him, exposing his unprotected weak spots to the youngster. When one was left this open to attack, there was little to nothing left to do be done to save themselves from harm.

Spinning as he ducked underneath the sword, he brought his Tanto forth with the clear intention of cutting into the man and dealing as much damage as he could without killing him. Connecting with his flesh, a pressing amount of force came forth from Hamura's motion, sending the man flying back through the opened door where the third of the group was just aiming to set foot outside. Colliding at the threshold of the building, they were both knocked back in. Stepping back in himself, he had to make sure that these men would not be getting back up to take up arms again. At the same time, Hamura had several questions he needed answered, and a dead man, as they said, would tell no tales.

The shadows had entered the city unnoticed as the twins had predicted. After all it would be rather hard to notice a shadow in a shadow unless armed with some chakra detecting instrument or through a chakra detecting jutsu. Thanks to this the shadows also managed to head toward the closest noise finding themselves behind an old and ruined building. As they peeked through the corner they would notice a bonfire right in the middle of a crossroad. A rather large one - next to it two man stood there both armed with a sword on their hips.

A houde right in front of the one they were hiding behind had its door opened and inside screams  could be heard. A woman and a man were clearly arguing but the only clear thing they could make it out of all that noise was "Leave us alone". a clear  sign that whoever was arguing with the couple wasnt welcomed.

After this brief scene, a woman was being dragged on the floor and brought outside , being pulled from her hair. A tall and strong man was holding her through the long brown hair and was bringing her to the other two guards . "Kill her" that was the only thing he said to the men, after which he pulled out his own sword and headed back inside. It was time to act.

Standing over the wounded man and the one laying underneath him, Hamura had his Tanto in hand while placing one food on top of the beaten men. If one of them were to make a sudden move, he would not hold back and would kill them both right there without as much as a second thought. With the wound the Shinobi had sustained, he could survive if he were to leave and not continue down this line of harassing civilians within the port. While unlikely, it was an option the youngster would leave entirely up to him and his compatriot. Before that though, there was one thing he needed, and that was for them to spill the beans on who had hired them in the first place.

If they could explain to him who it was that they were working for, he just might let them go. He gained nothing by killing them, aside from the assurance that he would not be fighting them again in the future, or the present. Once he let them go, there would be nothing keeping them from regrouping and coming after him again. But Hamura lived by a personalized code of honor, and he believed that if he were to show them this act of goodness, that they might actually return the favor. Only time would tell whether or not this would come to pass, as it was all determined by their willingness to divulge certain information.

The shadows would quickly take the appearance of the originals, however their skin color would still be much darker qand their eyes would be red rather than yellow. Ragardless of their appearance however, the shadows possessed the same powers as the twins aswell as their personalities. The shadow of Kael would be the first to  appear on the scene with a quick  succession of shunshins he would dash right in the middle of the two men near the bonfire who were about to dispose of the woman.

Without thinking twice he would immediatly use his knowledge of the two layer strike to throw quick successio nof punches on both of the man. Two punches for the taller guy aimed one at the leg and the other at the throat. While with a quick pivot he would repeat the punches in the same position to the smaller man.

Kaelynn's shadow however, would have a different target. She wanted to see what was going on inside the house for she ha d a bad feeling about it ."ill take care of it Kael." A quick s uccession of shunsins would make the woman reach the inside of the house, passing through the main door. The second she entered , her nenyana's powers would kick in allowing her to discent everything that was happening around her within a split  second

Upon asking his question, he hoped that these men were going to use their brains over whatever misguided sense of loyalty they had to their master. After all, what else could one call it when it got someone who was trained to protect people and take care of those that were threatening them to do the exact opposite. Bullying civilians was about the lowest thing a Shinobi could do with his or her training, and made it all the more easy for Hamura to not go easy on these two particular ninja. Looking closely as he waited for one of them to reply, what came next was more or less exactly what he had imagined.

They laughed. They did not feel like giving away the name of their employer, not believing Hamura was going to let them go if they did in fact choose to talk. Both believed that he would do to them what he had done to the other member of their three man team, split their heads open like a watermelon without as much as a second thought. Whether it was their tone that just mocked him or the fact that they felt like they could just laugh it off as they went to the grave, it ticked him off. Laughter would not be the last sound they would make before they would inevitably die. Causing a creeping frost to originate beneath his feet, it started creeping up the walls, the floor, the ceiling and across their clothing.

Freezing the water that was left in the sink along with all of the dishes left in it, their laughter soon made way for screams of intense pain as the rime set in through their clothing and started seeping into their bodies. As blood vessels, muscle tissue and eventually their tongue, gums and eyes started freezing over, it wasn't long before even the screams stopped. Removing his foot, Hamura turned around and walked back out. Upon crossing the threshold, he shattered the ice, sending bits and pieces of the two men all over the living room. They had been given a second chance, and they had chosen this outcome, Hamura had just been the one to deliver it.

The two men near the bonfire were too slow to react and the punches received from Kael were very effective, the punch on the throat were strong enough to stop them from talking while the one on their legs were enough to completly shatter the bones inside making them unable to stand on their feet. As they fell onto the ground kael would strike them once each onto their faces knocking them out immediatly.

inside the house however, a different  scenario appeared in front of Kaelynn, the huge man , taller than her brother  and twice his size,  stood there in the middle of the room sword in hand raised all the way to the ceiling ready to  strike the poor guy , most likely the husband of the woman outside. h was kneeling before the man, tears on his face dripping down on the floor

Behind him Kaelynn would notice a child, a young girl roughly around the age of six who stood there trembling from the fear the man was causing , simply staring at the man about to slaughter his dad. "This is your last chance! where is the idol!" the huge guy would be screaming at the man, wanting some sort of information. Clearly he hadnt yet notice Kaelynn thanks to her shunshin and stealth skills.

Mere moments after the shattering of the frozen corpses and setting foot outside, he heard a ruckus from one of the houses. Due to the fact that his ears worked rather well, he could tell that it wasn't from this street or the next, meaning there were raids like these happening in more than one location. Unable to really pinpoint the exact distance between him and the sounds, all he could really do was start making his way over to it to see if there was anything he could do to help.

While he was moving towards the sound as quickly as he possibly could, he passed by one of the side streets from which he could see another figure dressed in black from the corner of his eyes. At that point, he was facing a rather tough decision, though one that was rather obvious when one managed to take emotion out of the equation. Even though the other household further away was louder, this one was closer, and there was no doubt that they too were holding civilians and questioning them about what they knew regarding their query and where to find it.

Turning his heel, he dashed towards the Shinobi that just now noticed him. Estimated the distance to be roughly seven meters and closing, Hamura tossed his Tanto with brutal force and deadly accuracy, though not to kill. Landing the bladed weapon in his shoulder, the brutal force behind the throw took him off his feet and caused him to fall flat on his ass. Sending a shriek off pain through the streets, two more black figures dashed out of the windows above, stepping in between the ninja with the perforated shoulder and the black haired youngster.

"i dont know anything, please leave us alone!" the tall man smiled almost as if he was hoping to receive such an answer he would swing down his arm attempting to cleave the man in half - unluckily for him however Kaela was ready for that to happen, much like her brother - the power of her punches were not  something to be taken lighly. However, unlike her brother  she did not hold back for that  scene triggered something in her.

Due to the hive mind between the twins, Kael could feel exactly what Kaelynn was feeling - so he didnt even try to attempt  at  stopping h er from what was about to happen. To  Them , someone ttaking the lives of a parent leaving a child alone like that was unadmissible and unforgivable. A single punch was enough to completly sever the arm from the shoulder of the man - knocking it against a window and shattering it, blade still attatched.

The tall man ahd still yt to realize what had happened to his arm that he would find a huge hole in his stomach with a hand coming right out of it. As Kaelynn pulled it out the man would simply dall onto his knees to then receive the final blow that would shatter his brains onto the floor next to him. All the rage Kaelynn had - was poured into those three punches, killing the man.

Waiting for one of the men to tend to their comrade that had been struck down, he got him up from the floor and back on his feet. Doing nothing but watching while they took out his Tanto and tossed it to the floor in a fit, Hamura frowned a bit, but wasn't really surprised. As had been the case with the other Shinobi he had encountered and had not outright killed on the spot, getting information was more important than killing a bunch of faceless enemies that were doing the dirty work for someone else. Hamura understood that they were likely mere mercenaries, though that did not excuse them for their actions against civilians.

"Listen closely, as I'll only tell you once. Tell me who sent you out here to find me, and I will allow all three of you to walk out of here unharmed… mostly. Continue standing in my way, and your remains will be sent back to your families looking like chunks of strawberry ice-cream. The choice is yours, but decide quickly."

For a moment, it seemed that the men were quietly discussing the notion of surrendering, and who could blame them. As far as they knew, all of the man that were in the Port, which were currently six by Hamura's count but were likely more given the noise coming from a few streets on were all sent in to take down one ten year old boy. No one was stupid enough to get that many people unless there was something seriously wrong with the kid, otherwise they would likely make the choice to send in two or maybe three at best to save some money. After all, Mercenaries weren't known to be cheap.

With his hands folded in front of his chest, he waited and watched closely as the three made their decision. Somewhat shocked when one of them took out a Kunai and stabbed the wounded one in the throat, it seemed like at least one of them had been willing to take the deal. Sighing deeply, it seemed that the other two had made their decision and were ready to die. Narrowing his eyes and bending through his knees, he got ready to move out and oblige to their request for death.

With the death of the humongous man, the family was now safe - however even though they were out of harms way, seeing a man being killed in such a brutal manner left them more scared than before. As kaelynn approached the husband covered in the dead man's blood she would kneel down to his level and place a hand on his face wiping some of the blood from it. "Its ok, i understand you are scared - but we are here to help. Description: Any Technique the user performs that has Cold capabilities, and has a Hardness and/or Armour Points become stronger. When learned the Hardness of their techniques increases by 2. Armour Points increases by 10. User may learn this technique multiple times. Each time learned the Hardness of Ice increases by 2, and Armour Points increases by 10 (Maximum 20 Hardness, 100 Armour Points). For every 4 Hardness/ 20 Armour Points, the user's Ice Jutsus gain Resistance Fire 5 (Maximum 25).
Limit: Must know Ice Release.

Annoyed at the fact that these people took their job seriously enough to take out their own when they wanted to choose life and doing the right thing over continuing their greedy, self-involved ways, there would be no salvation for either of the two left standing. Feeling how he buried his feelings away again, he could also sense how the inner cold started to come up to the surface as it grew in strength. As he breathed out, both he and the two Shinobi could clearly see his frozen breath escape his mouth, even though it was actually warm enough to walk around in a T-shirt and trunks. For a moment, the two of them looked at one another at the sight of this, but quickly regained their composure.

As a similarly cold-looking aura was starting to form around him for a brief moment, it quickly disappeared as it could not maintain itself yet. While the surroundings were growing slightly colder, Hamura extended both hands to the side of his body, forming various icy spikes that hovered around him, their sharp tips pointed at their intended targets. Starting to close the distance between himself and his targets, he ran quickly, but remained ready to break off his sprint for a quick counter if such a thing were to be required. Taking out their Kunai, one of them threw two of them at him in rapid succession. Keeping his eye on the Kunai for now, he knew those had to be taken care of swiftly.

Answering this with a counter attack of his own, he fired two of the frozen shards of ice to intercept the two flying metal knives. Knocking one another down from the air, he still had three more of them which he did not even bother aiming and just shot forward into the general direction of the two Shinobi. Aiming at chest height, he did not care if his initial attack landed, all he was really aiming for was for them to have to either evade or defend themselves while Hamura could get himself within close quarters and truly deal some serious damage, the kind of damage that could not be compared to being penetrated by a sharp shard moving at high velocity.
