Know Ability (59)
Rank: "E"
Skill: Skill
Effect: Some characters are schooled in the art of careful observation and are able to discern skills and other Abilities of a target.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Some characters are schooled in the art of careful observation. Thus, even without the aid of Chakra, they can observe an individual and attempt to glean a valuable piece of information about them. This ability requires a skill Check and approximately one hour of observation for each thing studied. For example, if a User watched a man cutting wood for an hour, he could make a Know Ability Skill check. If successful he could learn that the man has a Carpentry Skill, can perform an amount of Movements per Round, or anything pertaining to the work they are performing. The user can apply this skill to nearly all statuses and abilities, as well as Skill Level Associated with a character. Look in Academia Skills thread found in the Skills and Traits Index for more information. If user has 25 or more Ranks in Evidence Analysis user gains a Synergy Bonus +10 to Know Ability By Observing for 1 hour this is considered as a Trivial Difficulty. Shorter the observation increases the difficulty. Each time learned user gets 1 die roll to increase the skill.
Limit: ---
Difficulty Examples
Trivial User Observes for 1 hour. (-90)
Easy User Observes for 30 minutes. (-80)
Average User Observes for 10 minutes. (-40)
Difficult User Observers for 1 minute. (0)
Very Difficult User Observes for 1 Round. (+10)
Extremely Difficult User Observes for a Glance. (+20)
Know ability allows the Game Master to impart information about Important NPCs and Pcs to the player's Via Know Ability checks. User must apply a Know Ability against an Acting Check. For every amount spent observing the target, a character can attempt a Know Ability check to learn the following information: Political Affiliation (if any), Specialism (Especially if the target is trying to pass himself as a member of another Specialism), and Character Class Level. A Character can also use Know Ability when he wants to appraise the skill of another Character (usually an opponent). When using Know Ability in this manner, use the following Difficulties (Difficulties stack to above Difficulties.)
Information Difficulty Examples
Opposing Character's Political Affiliation Difficult
Opposing Character's Specialism Very Difficult
Opposing Character's Class Level Very Difficult
Opposing Character's Ranks in a Particular Skill Very Difficult
Opposing Character's Total Weapon Damage with a Weapon Extremely Difficult
Jutsu used:
Glamour Perception
Rank: "C"
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: Jutsu allows the user to perform Glamour Perceptions.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Glamours cannot produce real effects, but they can change things that already exist. That's the chief difference between a Figment and a Glamour. If you want solid wood to feel rotten, birdcalls to sound like the shrieks of the damned, an otyugh to smell like perfume, or a disguise yourself, you probably want a glamour. As with Figments, everyone within range perceives the same thing and reacts appropriately.
Limit: ---
Invisibility -B class, lasts 15 minutes, 12 (c-ranked jutsu)-1/3 (genjutsu master reduction)= 8 handseals used out of 75 available
Rank: "C"
Skill: GenJutsu
Effect: Makes the target they touch invisible.
Special: "Handseals"
Drawback: ---
Description: Affects anyone who sees the target. The user is able to perform this technique on the target they touch. The duration of this technique lasts for 5 minutes per class level. This technique may be negated. The creature or object touched becomes invisible, vanishing from sight, even from darkvision. If the recipient is a creature carrying gear, that vanishes, too. If the user performs the Jutsu on someone else, neither the user nor their allies can see the subject, unless they can normally see invisible things. Items dropped or put down by an invisible creature become visible; items picked up disappear if tucked into the clothing or pouches worn by the creature. Light, however, never becomes invisible, although a source of light can become so (thus, the effect is that of a light with no visible source). Any part of an item that the subject carries but that extends more than 10 feet from it becomes visible, such as a trailing rope. Of course, the subject is not silenced, and certain other conditions can render the recipient detectable (such as stepping in a puddle). The Jutsu ends if the subject attacks any opponent. For purposes of this Jutsu, an attack includes any Jutsu targeting a foe or whose area or effect includes a foe. Actions directed at unattended objects do not break the Jutsu. Causing harm indirectly is not an attack. Thus, an invisible being can open doors, talk, eat, climb stairs, summon and have them attack. If the subject attacks directly, however, it immediately becomes visible along with all its gear.
Limit: Must know the Glamour Perception.

Inoryu had been wandering south of Kusagakure in the tropical jungle for twenty minutes. His goal was to find a creature that he could study for an indefinite amount of time. He took note of the richness of the flora. There were vastly different shapes, sizes and colors. Some were sweet smelling while others smelt offensive. He took note of the vast insect population thriving on the flora. Already Inoryu had noticed caterpillars; some smooth others spiky, spiders roaming or still on their orbital webbing, flies, beetles, and a wonderful monarch butterfly fluttering past his head. So far he hadn't come across any threatening creatures but he was on high alert. He understood that a situation could go very badly having wandered into the jungle without a companion but he felt that training with real risk had its own rewards. The sound of the environment was busy, humming with the sounds of insects. His eyes were presented with brilliant shades of green. He watched as the leaves seemed to sway.
As he journeyed deeper south into the jungle, his instincts began to warn him of impending danger. He came equipped with his tactical vest, his tanto, four kunai, 80 lightning tags, 80 ice tags, 80 incendiary tags, 30 shuriken, and gauntlets for protection. He also brought his compass so all he had to do was head north back to the village and he wouldn't get lost. Remembering his last encounter with giant man eating insects, he performed a series of handseals and vanished completely from sight.
He remained on high alert because not every creature may only rely on their sense of sight. Some insects may go through life through their sense of smell or awareness of the world's magnetic poles. Maybe some creatures senses are so acute that all of the senses in tandem would render his jutsu useless like an especially keen jaguar. He pressed forward cautiously following his compass South.
