Inoryu thought back to recall other jutsu he might have seen during nameru but haven't covered yet. He remembered Seraka, deftly switching her knife to a backwards grip and swinging the blade upwards in a powerful uppercut slash. He assumed the flowing ice stance and gave himself a brief moment to meditate and focus on his form. When he was ready, he swiftly transitioned the knife into a backwards grip and swung it upwards in a powerful uppercut slash. He transitioned the knife forwards to align with his arm and resumed the stance.
"Ah yes, akakoori; bloody ice. Right on!" Junichi said, enthused. He demonstrated the jutsu on one side, then inverted his stance carefully and demonstrated on the other side. Inoryu thought there wasn't much to learning this jutsu, it was so direct. The straightforwardness, he though, made the bloody ice jutsu a good offense, as most direct attacks are. A direct attack, timed perfectly, would improve him as a taijutsu artist.
Inoryu began to practice bloody ice on one side first. He stepped forward with his off foot, as Junichi had demonstrated, switched the knife into a backwards grip and swung the blade upwards before transitioning the knife back into the flowing ice stance. He then repeated once more to really emphasize the explosiveness of the jutsu before inverting his stance carefully. On the other side, he practiced, slowly but surely learning the jutsu and committing it to muscle memory. After a few times of repeating the jutsu on both sides, he felt that he had gotten the hang of it.
