Tomomi awoke to the screeching sounds of something that was perhaps not human. It sounded as if a newborn creature was sitting on his shoulder, making infantile noises directly into his ear. In fact, that was exactly what was happening. As his cognizance returned, Tomo recalled some of what happened. He was assaulted from behind by something, or somebody. Perhaps his new bird friend had escaped, perhaps not... His muddled thoughts continued for a few moments.
"YOU MUST RESIST!"
The shrieking creature seemed to speak into his mind now, in addition to the actual listening orifice on his head. As his eyes came into focus now, he realized the exact situation he found himself in. Shadowy figures moved about wildly, attempting to frighten him. At first he was utterly horrified. But soon his awareness of the genjutsu allowed him to ignore them to somewhat.
He sat, bound to a chair in a barren room with one window. The creatures swirled around him as he attempted to resist them. His fuzzy mind made this quite a bit more difficult than usual, as he couldn't seem to break the spell. His memories seemed to sway towards a fighting art he'd learned a bit of recently. He found his mind drifting inward, towards a meditative state. Perhaps he'd need to bolster his will in order to remove these illusions.
Surprisingly closing his eyes didn't make the illusions go away, as they continued to swirl about in his mind. He continued his meditation, intending to thoroughly force the specters away.
