Valerys had been walking through the Land of Earth for a long time, and along the way she had met several people and travelers that had taught her new and useful skills. Every place offered something but it was Gilbert, her old mentor, that really taught her most of her skills. Even if he had been a little mad in the end. As Valerys was coming around a bend from a large rock, she noticed a small tunnel leading beneath the stone. A perfect opportunity, Valerys thought and took it as a sign that she should explore. Lately she had been learning to identify and harvest plants from this region and needed to put her new skills to use. Her body was just small enough to fit through the tunnel, so Valerys did not have to alter her appearance with the help of her bloodline. As she squeezed through the narrow opening, Valerys maneuvered her way down until the dirt opened up beside the giant stone. A wonder it hasn’t collapsed, Valerys thought to herself and shook the thought out of her head. No need to be worried about something like that. Inside of the chamber was more stone, but it seemed to lead into a system of catacombs that Valerys very much wanted to explore.
There were few plants but some scattered throughout, and humidity clung to the walls and airs like something evil. I could find enough here, Valerys determined looking around at the structures and atmosphere. She got down on her hands and knees immediately to inspect the ground and what plants lied right at the entrance. There were a few clovers and lichens, plus the soil was rich and moist. It would be a good environment to search within. Valerys pulled out her LED flashlight and shined it down the corridors. Her red shirt and shorts clung to her body as she inspected all of the plants in her vicinity. It was late summer but not many of them seemed affected, uninfluenced down her by the light on the surface. There were many plants that Valerys had never even seen before. Some of them seemed to even let off light colors in a faint glow, giving an atmosphere to the chamber. Valerys got down on her knees and began to inspect the plants. Her polearm pushed against her back and her butt bag weighed heavy on her filled with fifty senbon as she dug through herb after herb, identifying what little she could.
