Seventh post


But then Emi thought that instead of faking it like he had done before, by making up stories and pretended to be their friend from the start, then maybe he'd manage better by actually trying to sympathize. So instead of him starting the conversation, Emi actually sat there until the man felt like he would need to say something, which he did by asking why Emi even had assisted the kids. Then Emi knew that he could either try to explain his whole background and try to get the rogue to feel bad for him, he instead decided to give a fairly short and simple one. It was mostly to make sure to have the rogue remain interested in everything he said, but also to keep some mystery to his own life. The prisoner absorbed the information Emi shared and seemed to think about it for another couple of minutes before he began to ask a couple of more ones.

They were more about Emi's own background and what was making the bond among ninjas so special. The deep meaning behind the questions had Emi get surprised as he thought that the captured prisoners only were brutes that most likely wasn't even educated. So when the man suddenly began to say stuff about himself, even though it was unrelated to the general situation and therefor was of no real interest to Emi, he couldn't help but feel a connection to the prisoner. There too much sadness that could affect so many, and he obviously had a lot of dark memories.

Eighth post



Emi refused to push the rogue and instead listened carefully and placed genuine and emotional questions, not trying to reveal any information no more, but to understand who the rogue really was. Whenever the man appeared to have said to much, Emi even directed the ideas away from his rogue allies and their plans, making the prisoner to appear to want to share the information. At one point, the man even tried to warn Emi of the incoming rogue attack, but as Emi had understood that there were more to their talk than just to investigate, he denied the information and offered some additional food. The Hoshigaki then saw how happy and sad the prisoner was at the same time, revealing that Emi finally had succeeded in befriending the man. So he then asked the man not to leave the camp as he slowly removed the rope surrounding the prisoner, which he knew were quite uncomfortable.

The rogue kept on sitting by the pole even after the rope had been released and he wondered if it was a trap of some kind. But when Emi returned to relax and even closed his eyes a few times, the rogue knew that it was no feint. So he stood up from the ground and stretched to make his limbs get some of their blood back and Emi then told him were they had placed things in the camp and where the rogues friend was at, if he wanted to meet him.

Ninth post


It took a few minutes before the rogue dared to walk away from Emi's presence, as he still feared the trap. But as he got away, he immediately ran to his friend and began to tell him how kind Emi actually had been to him. It wasn't very hard for Emi to overhear what the two was saying to each other as they both were very loud, but as he did, instead of feeling like they hurt his feelings, Emi analyzed how they talked to each other. They both tried to make a point and to convince his friend that it was the most logical step, which neither succeeded with for the first ten minutes. But when Emi's genins returned and immediately got hostile towards the rogues and Emi told them to step down, the still tied prisoners mouth opened wide.

Emi had to explain to the genins in detail that he had not been mind-affected and it was truly his decision to allow the rogues free passage. Despite his explanation, Emi noticed that the group did not like the order and therefor prepared themselves to fight the rogues anyway, which had Emi send them a gaze that had them freeze from fear. His orders were not getting disobeyed unless they wanted to die and even though the gaze was not intended for the rogues, they gasped and suddenly realized how Emi was way out of their league.

Tenth post


The rogue then asked if he were allowed to release his friend as well, which Emi agreed upon with a loud sigh. The bodies of the rogues displayed that they wanted to vanish as soon as they possibly could run, which Emi used as an opportunity to ask them if they could be kind enough to bring the leader to him. The duo immediately told him no, as they fully suspected that Emi would just simply use them and kill off their leader to get rid of the rogues. But Emi shook his head and explained that it was not his intentions, if he were to kill the leader he could've just killed the prisoners right there and tracked the rest down like prey. At first the rogues hesitated as they tried to judge if Emi's comment had been true or just a ruse, but they then saw in his eyes that he was not joking around, so they whispered back and forth to see what they wanted to do.

At the end they just came to the agreement that it probably was for the better to get their leader there, so he could make peace without the need for further bloodshed. So the duo left the area with the promise that they would grant Emi's request, which he knew would most likely not happen. But since his genins wanted to make sure that it would, or stop the rogues from leaving, Emi told them that there were no real need to hunt every single bandit out as they just had to make sure they were respected by those that did exist.

Eleventh post


The decisions had made the genins feel like they ones again was getting betrayed by their superior, something that had them just walk away from the situation. Emi knew that he didnt need them, but he found it unnecessary to make previous allies to possible hostiles. So he walked behind them and tried to convince them that ehat they did was just irrational as they had a way to solve their situation. But they were decided that it was a betrayal towards them and refused to listen to his reasonings. When he noticed that he could say anything without getting any possible reaction from them, Emi stopped and headed back to the camp and awaited the rogues.

The amount of bandits rushing into the camp surprised him, but he got even more intrigued when the leader approached him and he saw it was a woman. His natural instinct was to have his face give a strangely satisfied smile while his heart began to pump faster. But as he saw the guard come out, he knew that he had to get into shape and manipulate himself in a manner allowing him to affect her from there on.

Twelfth posts


He knew that most of the moments where men changed the heart of a woman, it was by overwhelming them with kindness, which he wasn't very accustomed to. So he began with a massive error when he greeted the bandit queen with a compliment about her overall appearance, making the woman look disappointed. The change of her face made Emi realize his mistake, which forced him to quickly rethink his entire strategy to handle her with. As he analyzed the situation once again, he thought that it probably would be more wise not to act as if she was a woman in the need for approval, but a chief over brute men. So his immediate reaction after her frowned face was to turn the entire comment into a joke instead, which didn't appear to land in the lady's field of funny.

But some of her minions did however react to the joke, making the whole situation a little awkward until they stopped laughing from it. Emi then invited the leader with her closest associates to sit with him by the temporary fireplace while he tried to start the conversation anew. The lady was not saying much, which meant that Emi had to lead the talk forward by asking a lot of questions while remaining his constant eye contact.

Thirteenth post



As he was starting to get frustrated from all the lack of respect she showed him in her eyes while barely answering his questions, Emi felt a surge of bloodlust arise. He did however not want to let that side take over again, he needed to be able to move people around without threatening them. So he tried to use a few different ways to speak and after a while even rougher words than the usual formal ones. For some reason he noticed that the more crude words worked wonders, as she seemed to understand them far better and looked like she liked them better as well. That had him believe that the woman had just as her underlings had a difficult past where she had been unable to get a formal education and found a distaste for the richer society.

When he knew that she no longer hated him for the way he spoke, Emi tried to connect a little more with her like he had done with the other bandits, by granting her more freedom of speech. It did however not take long until Emi was starting to get tired of the situation and stopped juggling questions for it, so he got less creative and awaited some useful reply that could help the situation. So when he finally stopped talking and just sat there watching the lady while trying to figure out what to do next, she sighed and thanked him for finally stop talking.

Fourteenth post


As the woman then slowly began to explain their situation, Emi realized that in conversations it was equally as important to leave some space for the other to jump in as trying to lead them in the direction he wanted. Because even though the subject got a lot more spread out, he didn't come out as aggressive towards the other person, allowing them to open up without fear. But as continued to listen to the horrifying reasoning behind them actually legitimately hating his village, he noticed that she was getting too riled up, making her goons prepare themselves for what could happen. That made Emi wonder what could've happened in their past for the guards to react so quickly to her changes in tone. He did however not want any fight with them as he believed he could make them feel like they had been righted.

So he lowered his voice a little while still looking straight into the womans eyes as he tried to agree with her about the corruption within the village. At first she did not even hear what Emi was talking about as she was so loud and riled up that his voice was just drowned into her anger. But as she noticed that, she lowered her voice to hear what the young Hoshigaki was saying to her, which immediately had her suspicious as he actually agreed that he was working for a corrupt government.

Fifteenth post


Her temperament made her shout in his face a few more times and even got her rogues to join in on the insults towards the boy. She did however notice Emi's motions on his face and did quiet down both herself and her group when he had started to speak. Because even though she had never trusted the boy, his attitude against them seemed to say that he either didn't fear them or he wanted become allies. Emi then said clear out that he didn't like what had happened to the rogues, and that the corruption had taken the hold for his village for too long, but he also added in that he was trying to fix it from within. It was obvious that the woman was doubtful that Emi was sincere, but she then asked him a few questions, which Emi gladly answered as they finally got somewhere with the discussion.

When Emi was able to answer all of her questions with accuracy and determination, the woman stopped herself for a brief moment, stunned that Emi might actually be having the same opponent as them. She did however wonder if Emi was correct when he began to explain that it was actually the council that had done most of the crimes that she had mentioned before. But as the Hoshigaki had no reason to actually throw the council under the bus without any reason, she felt like she had to trust the information.

Sixteenth post


Emi noticed that reaction in her eyes, there were no longer the brute anger towards the young ninja, but a desire to learn more. So as he explained the current structure of the village and what corporations that was gaining a lot of power while trying to do good for the village, Emi suggested that they could go that way to contribute instead. She glared at him, uncertain if it had been suggested as an insult or real advice on what they could do with their lives. Even though she tried to wave it off by saying that the situation wasn't that easy for them, Emi just countered that nothing ever was easy when trying to stop the darkness. The woman then got quiet for a few seconds, trying to collect her thoughts while Emi continued to explain that just the step away from being rogues would have a great impact, as that would give the commoners more peace and quiet.

That comment did however not go unpunished, as she didn't like the tone in which he presented it with. Which meant that she stood up and defensively explained to Emi that they were actually not taking anything from anyone innocent, that all of their targets were high profiled scum. But that had Emi just shake his head and sigh before he described the genins that they had stalked, and he was very strict when he explained how hard the genins had it with being rough against their opponents.

Seventeenth post


That obviously had the rogue leader feel guilty and began to question her way of working, as they had done a lot similar things before. One of her minions then took her to the side and began to scream at her that she was being manipulated and that she couldn't divert from their cause. But as several of the others in her guard as listened to their discussions, they began to shout back and some even drew their weapons. Emi did however know that if the bloodshed began, the negations would always give them a bad memory, having it all been wasted. So when he saw that two of them were to clash, Emi dashed in between them and blocked the attacks by grabbing their weapons with his unprotected hands.

He then allowed the scene to be completely quiet for a brief moment before he released the blades and stood up normally. Emi then looked around on the men and women surrounding him and asked each and everyone of them if peace was won by killing their own comrades. Neither one of the rogues answered before the queen gave a clear no, which allowed Emi the opening to start telling them that they had allowed hatred for the corruption do the same with them.

Eighteenth post


A lot of the guards were visibly shaken and the leader of them burst out in tears, neither one of them had ever thought that they had turned into the bad guys. Emi was quite surprised that he had actually managed to turn so many bad guys around when he had just met them a little over an hour ago. But as he sympathized with them, Emi walked around the group and hugged those that appeared to need some comfort while allowing the area to be completely quiet for a few minutes, having all of them rethink their ways. When he saw that most of them had been able to calm down, he asked them what they wanted to do from then on. Barely anyone had any idea on what to do, which had Emi go around to all of them, listening to their wishes and skills before he suggested a path they could take.

Most that had been open with what they wanted seemed to appreciate Emi's suggestions, but some completely refused and said that they would try to find something on their own. Since Emi really didn't care that much, he didn't really try to convince them a second time, but he did look around and tell them all that they needed to keep their contact with each other. Because even though they had completely different ideas and dreams, he wanted them to remain as a group to make sure that they all shared the ideal of a better world while having some friends to lean back on.

Upon completion of the technique, both companion and user merge together to form a fearsome two-headed wolf transformation. User also gains a bite and claw attack dealing 18 Armour Points of Damage. In addition, the creature is treated as Huge and gain all attributes as a Huge creature. User can perform some techniques, mainly TaiJutsu, but cannot use handseals in this form.

1. “Lady… I wish to attempt something.” Lady blinked and tilted her head in an oddly humanoid expression as Zuruel stepped forwards. In that instant, he flared his Chakra by conjuring an image of a dam bursting in his mind and flooding an area with sea water. This mental trigger allowed his body to do the same. Relaxing his Tenketsu, a surge of Chakra exploded out from Zuruel’s joints and like a violent river, flowed into his core.

As the Chakra gathered in his centre, Zuruel felt a great degree of warmth emanating from his belly. Normally, he could handle and control this much energy. However, due to the cursed seal violently and exponentially increasing his Chakra capacity beyond normal mortal comprehension, Zuruel found himself gathering so much Chakra in one location that he could feel it beginning to sear and singe his internal organs from the inside out.

Grimacing, he quickly shut off the flow of Chakra into his chest by tightening the Tenketsu valves around his core. The Chakra was now trapped and growing no larger. Able to manage this energy a lot better, Zuruel utilised some of the Chakra by ‘hardening’ it slightly and concentrating it around the rest of the Chakra. This created a barrier or cocoon rather, the act of which instantly causing the damage to his organs to cease and allowing his Kedoin cells to recover the damage that had just been done to them.

2. “Your turn. Focus as much energy into your core as possible.” Curious, Lady did the same. The canine shut her eyes and summoned forth the mysterious energy only she could sense or control. Manipulating it through mental commands, she forced the energy to gather in her core until finally, there was so much of it that the faint outline of her body began to glow a shade of blue. Unlike the energy born from Zuruel’s violent and evil Cursed Seal, Lady’s aura was pure and didn’t harm her. He was almost jealous. Almost.

Both now surging with energy, Zuruel extended his arm outwards and signalled to Lady to do the same. Able to stand on her hind legs, Lady mimicked her companion’s posture and placed her paw against Zuruel’s palm. This close up, she could feel the sinister energy oozing from him. If not for her trust in her companion, she was tempted to pull back in disgust. “Focus.” He exclaimed upon spotting her hesitant expression. The two shut their eyes with their ‘hands’ still embracing each other’s.

Zuruel was the first to take action. Carefully, he pulled upon the dark energy welling up inside of his core and allowed it to slither into his arm like tendrils of smokey purple. This energy was then drawn into his hand which upon making contact with Lady, caused the Moon Dog to retreat almost immediately. “I’m insulted.” He joked. Lady’s expression was apologetic, but her action wasn’t unwarranted. Zuruel knew another Moon Dog would likely attack him on sight. It was a miracle that this one even wanted to associate herself with him. In a way, it was a nice feeling. He knew he could trust her entirely - a rare fact for a nomad such as himself.

3. “What are we even doing…?” Zuruel didn’t answer his companion’s question. He simply extended his arm out again, to which Lady responded by once again pressing her paw against his hand. As Zuruel unleashed his dark Chakra, he could see the disgust in Lady’s expression. Even her eyes seemed to display hatred towards the Kedoin’s Chakra. Every fibre of her being rejected what the Kedoin was. What he had become since the placement of the seal. And yet, she was still here. Still trusting him.

“Fixing me.” He at last responded with a smile as he opened his final Tenketsu and unleashed a violent maelstrom of Chakra at Lady. She grit her teeth and soldiered through with fangs and claws revealed. Not even she could fight off her instincts. Not even for Zuruel. “I don’t understand…” She spoke into her companion’s mind – unable to fully read his thoughts due to the presence of tainted evil all around her. However, knowing that she needed to mimic her companion’s actions, she too unleashed her pure Chakra.

Shooting out like arrows, the silvery energy whizzed through her arm, out of her paw and pushed back Zuruel’s dark Chakra. The two opposing energies rejected each other like polar ends of a magnet. No matter how hard Zuruel tried to mix and intertwine his Chakra with Lady’s pure energy, the two simply would not obey the command. He’d have better luck mixing oil and water together. Such was the thought Lady picked up on in her companion's mind. “I see what you’re trying to do!” She exclaimed with a wide smile.

4. Suddenly, a torrent of silvery energy fired out from Lady and assaulted Zuruel’s darker Chakra. From being in such close proximity with Lady, the opposing energies violent reaction unleashed sparks which tore away at the Kedoin’s flesh and singed even body parts that narrowly missed being grazed. Despite the wounds quickly wracking up on Zuruel, Lady didn’t let up. She knew her companion could take the punishment. Even more so, she knew he didn’t want her to stop.

Pushing the two energies together, a shower of sparks sprayed outwards. Protected by her pure energy which acted as a barrier, the tiny beads of energy simply bounced away from her. Zuruel, however, was pelted face-first and found his flesh beginning to melt away. However, he knew it was working. Taking a step forwards, he felt more intensity and pain – but also a sense of calm. Lady mimicked this and stepped forwards at the same time to share in her companions burden. Although they weren’t fully mixing, the two energies were beginning to envelope each other.

“Now!” 

Zuruel and Lady exclaimed simultaneously through sheer coincidence. With their energies so tightly intertwined, both were able to control each other’s Chakra by tugging on their own. Perfectly in sync, the duo wrapped themselves with this new Chakra and created a cowl of pure energy around themselves. Sharing the same thoughts, the duo nodded at the same time and forged this cowl into the only shape that they could both agree upon and felt was appropriate. By the time the energy began to condense and concentrate in this form, it had already begun to take shape. The shape of a twin-headed wolf.

After the rogues had gotten into the idea of making a new life for themselves they left the camp and left Emi completely alone in the area. He took a few deep breaths before he tried to stand up from the log he had been sitting on for almost an hour and noticed that his legs were completely numb. The blood hadn't moved well enough in them, making him barely able to move them around like normal. It bothered him a little as he had to move away from the camp, but since it didn't seem like it was going away, Emi tried to jump away anyways. The effect was far from satisfying as he barely reach two meters away from the starting position, which had him realize that his muscles were completely oxygen drained, which made him unable to use any power at all.

Emi grind his teeth as he tried to move around to get his feet to wake up again, which proved to be more annoying than he thought as it just hurt with each step. So Emi bounced a little back and forth, which he imagined he could do to test his ability to late jump into the nearest tree. When he felt like he was regaining some of the strength in the legs, Emi stood still and tried to produce all the force he could muster into his right leg, but he only got a little over a meter up in the air.

Second post


So Emi shook his legs as he walked around before he decided that he should be doing some jumping exercises to improve his agility some. To be able to measure how it was going, Emi put out a dozen sticks on the ground as indicators on how far he was able to jump before he went to the start of them and stretched. He knew that it was easy to strain muscles while pushing them to the limits, especially when they were not fully warmed up. So after some careful stretching ways that he could think off that focused along the muscles in the legs or back, Emi bend his knees while keeping his feet close to each other before kicking off. The jump was not very impressive and since he tried to get too much from the jump, Emi even landed badly and fell prone.

The fall had completely surprised him and he just lay there for a few second before he even realized how short he had actually jumped. Shocked Emi spun back up on his legs and brushed off the leafs and dust on his clothing and went back to the starting line and thought about what the trouble had been. He hadn't jumped that short since his days in the academy, which was bad to say the least and forced him to analyze what had changed in his past years.
