History

---

Decades before the massacre befell the Uchiha of Hi, a sect of the kekkei genkai descendants fled north to the lands of Rice Field. They immediately would join the ranks of the establishing military of Otogakure no Sato, and in time, their guile led them to create a branch of law force, similar in hierarchy to the Konoha Police. With these things set and working like the winding clock for the branching clan hailing from the south, a larger ploy was set into motion following the early years of the Hidden Sound Village.


A male child was born to Uchiha Mao and her husband, Souta. The child, that they named Souma, would grow into a fine shinobi. Unlike the few that had settled in Oto Kuni, this particular house had a prodigy that produced works of wonder in the muse-realm of the artistic country. His skills were like no other his age; in time, with an intense regimen set out by his father and mother, Souma would develop the one-tomoe Sharingan, and with the use of his doujutsu, his mind expanded and thus, his art form was transfigured further. The Ninja academy was much like child's play for the chakra attuned youth. He was a specialist of the illusion arts, and proficient enough in the other realms of body and spirit to be recommended an early graduation from his academic instructors. He would become a Genin at an early age, and would stay at that ranking for years to come due to his obsession to perform at his best level without distraction from a heavier military workload.

By ten, he had already gained renown in the neighboring villages of Otogakure no Sato, and that was a testament to his ability as a young maestro. He took others younger than he under his wing, and perhaps that was not necessarily a good thing. A youthful mind was a mind that could be subjugated easier than a mind seasoned. With that philosophy, the young snake Souma had many of his students carry out tasks from the simple to the more critical; but either path held a detrimental accolade for the unwitting students that were merely puppets in his crimson eyes. He had to, and for several years time, lay low, for the established Uchiha force of Otogakure was on to his wiles, but never suspected he as the mastermind of the atrocities enacted upon the Lideren peoples. The capital Meikyoku had with perfect timing hired him with commission to create a musical performance that showed the synergy between Oto and the neighboring Yu no Kuni. The musical epic would take five years to complete due to the amount of information needed to construct the ultimate song to demonstrate the ties between the two countries. Souma had many younger and even older shinobi or villagers gathering material from various foundations to complete the final form of his assignment. Within that stretch of time, most, but not all, of his undermining deeds were halted. A string of misconduct still was orchestrated; and contrarily, a chord of altruistic symphonies had been played to balance out his evil and good forms of art.

Years had passed and the plot of Souma's proclivity grew thicker, much like a coiling snake's grip on its prey. Yet in spite of all the chaos that sprung forth in Rice Field, a lawfulness still held its head above the rising waters of politics and everyday life in the string of villages located in the country. There had been a time that the mind of the Uchiha had been used to head a group of higher ranked shinobi into enemy territory, and it was this act of decisive leadership that caused rumors to be spread about the teenage prodigy. Many of the children that had been under the subjugation of his doujutsu's prowess and sophisticated skill set hadn't the mental range to turn sides or tell on their maestro. It had been instead the Chunin and higher ranked ninja that began to catch on to his wiles, and the Otokage and village officials were notified of the true treacherous nature of Souma. He had to act quickly, from having heard through the grape vine of this deception within the ranks of his own artistic students. A scapegoat was produced in the form of his protégé, Uchiha Kazuki, who was brought to the front and persecuted for the crimes of his younger clan member, Souma. The Chunin had been adept, but not enough to see through his cousin's beguilement. It brought a swift cease to Kazuki's life and Souma's degenerate schemes. For years, he worked still on various art forms using numerous mediums. Larger scale criminal activities had now diminished to petty and diminutive proportions; the chaos and flames died down, but grander things worked in the mind of the prodigy... he just needed time.

During his early twenties, tragedy did befall him, and that was a life-altering event. In Dante, a city of dark proclivity and inescapable grime, Souma was ambushed by shinobi from Yukigakure that had heard of his advances in the art realm. Luckily for him, he had not been alone, and so was able to survive the encounter; unfortunately, he had lost his right eye, that had been gouged from its socket and lacerated without hope of recovery. In time he grew accustomed to his handicap. His art began to take on stranger forms that were at first rejected and criticized due to their bizarre nature, but soon accepted as true works of the maestro. In losing sight in terms of physical perception, his sight in psychological affairs was only heightened, and thus his art took on new shapes, which would ultimately begin a new string of corrupt and high-muse-related conflict in the regions of Oto no Kuni.. This would carry on well into his mid-twenties, which he now performed in.

Personality

Souma is a sly individual. Raised within the streets of Rice Field, it shouldn't be a surprise to know that theatrics are his forte. He can produce an extravagant facade that leaves many stupefied; and those that may be on to the man's wiles, would never truly know.. for his guile involves many tangents and intricate inceptions. To many, he can be seen as a maestro---a mental puppeteer that can have you believe one thing, while doing another contrary.

To start, the Uchihan descendant follows a serpentine doctrine: that is, to strike shrewdly, constrict critically, and shed sneakily. With these three principles applied to his mien, Souma makes for a character that could be viewed as evil, yet he is totally neutral in his proclivity. For the better, it is said by him, does he operate. To kill, is of no qualm; to save, a nonchalant endeavor. If he has to showcase his more violent side, he does so with an astute resolution, thus making his actions final and not up for further tangential working. The Otogakure ninja has a furtive way to move about the shadows. Most of his darker and more violent means are carried out by persons other than himself; on the opposite end of the spectrum, he can take on the load of praise reserved for another due to benign constructs, that he himself set up in the first place to rise to such a level of known status. This keeps a true order to his mental faculties, which may leave another in peril if they fall victim to his scheming ways.

In his line of work as a militia man of the Hidden Sound, the Uchiha is somewhat lackluster, and only prefers to do a mission if it means money, which means opportunity to purchase new art material. As a virtuoso, he is particularly skilled in music composition with the flute and in painting endeavors. There are more facets to the many sided gem that is Souma's personality, but only are a few polished to outshine the others that he would prefer go unnoticed by the general public. At his best, he operates to keep the village's influence over art forms regal and daring; at his worst, he broods in the doldrum reaches of Dante, hoping to eradicate a problem of his or concoct sinister plans regarding political anarchy, which he sees as a viable medium of art appreciation. It should be noted that Souma has many friends, which is why he is so readily capable of adapting his temperament to suit those in his current company. He is, in this effect, mercurial, but only of transitioning personality types. He can play incredibly aloof despite his true learned nature, which seems to be a trait picked up from several years of acting school.

Souma has a tendency to put forth his best work. He is usually not a slacker, but situations arise wherein he must alter his game plan, only to come back to unfinished projects with new vigor and exciting animation. For a learned man, it was not hard for him to pick up on the quizzical Infernal tongue, which he used to network with inhuman entities whenever they would commission him for his work. Due to his exposure to these different races, he also learned that art can be seen or stated to be different from what a human assumes. This has led to the learning of darker forms of art or talents that can be used to cause widespread chaos if necessary. For the sound of mind Genin, most things he has created are from his own perspective, thus is understanding of a subject is not manipulated by an outside force.

Despite having only one eye, the Otonin is deceptively perceptive. Many say that he possesses the eye of, not only the Uchiha, but the falcon, which can see into the heart of things. This enables him to align himself where need be to obtain what he seeks; it also makes him cautious of those with high and even higher intellect than himself, who should be both trusted and watched, just as one looking into a glass mirror. He has a knack to oversleep, which is caused by his many candle-lit and sleepless nights. With a mind that seems to never cease, it is a wonder how he can hone in on a particular subject and learn about it in-depth. Due to his ichizoku's nature, Katon seems to be his favorite release form. He enjoys spicy foods over sweet, and prefers reds and darker colors over those that are blue and of light variation. Innately, he is heterosexual, but has dabbled in homosexual activities to glean the sexual perspectives of men and their art. Being sly as a fox, Souma is also charming and very alluring to either sex with the way that he can word certain things.

To achieve his means, Souma will use virtually any device. As an artist, he knows that to create the best work, one must be capable of using a plethora of materials, which makes him unique in his craft. Because of this, it has been a difficult task for military officers to apprehend him. Despite the many clues and bread crumbs that he purposely leaves, it is a challenging task to link them all together to him, who has orchestrated violent village riots, hushed assassinations, musical marvels and ardors of other art forms. In essence, he is a Renaissance man given his many talents of art, science and language, as well as his ability to apply concepts of each into whatever it is that he takes on.

Appearance

Upon one's first look at Uchiha Souma, they notice something unique-- be it his eye patch, intriguing smile, or unorthodox stance. He possesses a beauty that is but natural to descendants of the fanning flame. Coupled with his supernatural charm, Souma makes for one hot as fuck character.

His head is oval-shaped, and squares out around his masculine jawline, that is all but bare of facial hair and battle scars. Curling locks of deep black hair sets atop his brow, which is hardly ever seen pushed into a confused or aggravated furrow. There was a time that he possessed two, draconic black eyes---and now he has only but one; under the application of his chakra, his doujutsu the Sharingan, flourishes and makes his eye glow a deep crimson color. His missing eye, and a majority of the right side of his face, is veiled by a thick black eye patch that is worn as a form of headgear to ensure that his outfit is not only up-to-date, but also one that is trendy. He possesses clean and immaculate teeth, in a thin-lipped mouth that sits underneath a medium-sized nose, which barely juts out from his face. More often than not, he can be seen with a cool smile spread across his lips. It is a very rare, and ominous sign to see him brooding. One can see lines of worry, fear and other negative associated feelings on his face as muscles contract to make evident his current mental state.

Working down his head towards his neck, his shoulders become broad and his chest robust, despite his lean appearing six-foot frame. He has long extremities; his arms are instruments of art, and his fingers even finer tools used to weave seals or hold weapons and artistic instruments. Lithe and energetic, Souma's musculature is that of a taijutsu specialist, despite him being non-specialized in the arts. Many years of searching for perfect mediums and art utensils has led him to be more fit than the typical artist; his diet, also, plays an important role in his current physique, as he tends to avoid overly fatty foods and despises sweets. His chest and torso are blemish free and over them, he fashions shirts made of Onsen materials and customs, that enable his body to breathe more readily in dense or hotter air environments. Above his turtle-neck like long-sleeved shirt, he wears a tattered brownish tan cloak that doesn't cover much of his front, yet hangs like a cape would over his back.

The pelvic region of Souma is strong. He has a sturdy core, despite his elevation over most other Lideran people in Oto no Kuni. With a weight of 185 pounds, he is not overly heavy, nor sickly in his appearance. His look is lean and muscular. There are two different pouch types located around his waistline: in the front, a larger gray pack that is situated on his left hip, this is were he stores art material or tags; and in the back is a gray butt pouch, which is considered his ninja tool pouch. There are also different pouches for scrolls on either arm and leg. These usually house commissions or empty scrolls that he takes notes on when out observing the world around him. 

Due to his lengthy frame, the Otonin has an impressive stature, which is supplemented by long and limber legs. He is constantly on the move all around Rice Field country, and this also helps keep him in shape, and makes his legs naturally muscular. He houses his lower extremities in black pants made of a similar material to his shirt. Most of the clothing Souma wears is either black or monochromatic. He really hardly ever dresses different unless their is an art show, or performance that he is starring in. At that time, he prefers dark shades of green, to reproduce a similar effect as black clothing would. He enjoys to blend in, and hardly sees his dress style as a reason to evoke various forms of art and their color. But to match his tool pouches, he keeps his feet in shin high gray shinobi boots.

There are only but a few accessories, aside from shinobi apparel, that Souma has on his person. More often than not, he is in possession of his Ryuteki flute. It is a burgundy colored wood, with lighter wood accents; a black piece of cloth is wrapped between its seven holes, and fits snug across the foot and a half long musical instrument. He can be seen playing notes on it in his spare time, and even can perform grand ballets while playing the flute. Another subject of Souma's wares is his war fan. It opens and closes, and has an intricate design that he himself painted across its rather massive three and three-quarters paper frame. The painted section is housed within a black steel enclosure and the fan itself has very sharp tips. He keeps this attached to his back with black straps that fit comfortably against his frame. Upon opening the war fan, the paper portion portrays a red and black expanse that seems to be in constant turmoil, for the energy used on the medium seems aggressive, yet in despair. Souma painted his war fan during his early teen years, right around the time that one of the neighboring Yu no Kuni's villages got coincidentally destroyed in a maelstrom of fire and smoke. The name Kitsuenai or "Smoking Crimson," is the name of the large war fan.

The user can identify inscriptions on crypts, coffins and other undead haunts as well. The user only needs to learn this skill once to encompass all regions. Each Undead has an Identification Difficulty found in their description. User must beat their Difficulty in order to identify the Undead. If the user succeeds they know what the undead is and what yields they can produce. If the user fails by 20 or less they do not gain any knowledge of the undead and are unable to try again. If the user fails by 21 or more they will gain false information, like a different undead.

Description: The user needs to stop the flow of chakra in their body, and then apply an even stronger power to disrupt the flow of the caster's chakra; this is called GenJutsu Kai (Dispel GenJutsu). This can also be done by an unaffected characters by applying a sudden surge of chakra into the affected person. The unaffected character must know GenJutsu Kai (Dispel GenJutsu) in order to perform it on an affected person. The affected getting out of a GenJutsu is dependent on the knowledge of the unaffected. Depending on the rank the user knows depends on the amount of extra points they gain on their Save.

Effect: This jutsu cancels or impedes the occurring of the opponent's technique. It uses the same amount of chakra as the jutsu it intends to cancel.

Drawback: You must know the technique that the opponent is doing. In order to stop a certain type of technique the user must know the rank for that technique. This means in order to stop D you must know D. In order to stop S you must know S.
Description: A strong technique that has been passed down from ninja to ninja just in case of a ninja is being attacked by a technique that may go against the person and that they know the technique. The user must know the technique in order to stop the technique in question. When a technique is already out in play the user is unable to stop the technique. The user must try to stop the technique during the preparation of the technique. A very helpful technique indeed if the opponent attacks with a technique that has a long preparation. In order to stop a D Rank Technique the user must learn the D Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a C Rank Technique the user must learn the C Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a B Rank Technique the user must learn the B Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a A Rank Technique the user must learn the A Rank version of this technique. In order to stop a S Rank Technique the user must learn the S Rank version of this technique.

Camouflage Technique [0050]

Effect: This NinJutsu allows the user to increase their stealth and camouflage in an area.

Description: Target of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 5 minutes per Class Level. Using this technique, the user is able to conceal their presence to others. For the duration of this technique, the user gains a bonus to Stealth checks equal to their Disguise Skill up to +75. The user can hide while observed, even in broad daylight, with no cover or shadow nearby. If the user stays still for 1 minute or longer, the user begins to blend with the environment even more, and gains a further +5 bonus to Stealth check every round, up to an additional +50. If the user was already hiding, the result of their Stealth check increases by 5. In addition, user receives no penalty to Stealth while moving normally, and only a -50 penalty to hide while charging or running. This technique is immediately dispelled when the user attacks a creature, or performs an offensive technique or action, such as attacking with a puppet. A creature that ca See Chakra gains a +20 bonus to Observation checks or +40 if it can See Through Chakra.

Description: This technique is one of the few techniques in the ninja world that neither hurt nor heal, but it is considered one of the most influential. This technique has a long history of pride. Invented in the cloud village many years ago as a communications device meant to assist their valued shinobi during the great ninja war, it has been used throughout the ages as an information tool. The users of the technique must first perform a flurry of handsigns, finishing with the rat handseal and holding it. Once the handseal is held the users body becomes totally stiff and immobile. If they are standing they may fall and injure themselves. In exchange for the total loss of their body, the user gains the control of his spirit. The spirit has no physical form, meaning it cannot attack or be attacked. Genjutsu still may effect it (only if it something meant to confuse sight) but other then that is basically just a vapor. After the spirit form is taken, the user may appear anywhere they have already been, though unable to change the environment physically, they may use chakra to act as a voice box, giving them the ability to speak. Because of the nature of the technique, it does not have a limited range, but there is a time frame. The spirit form may only be away from the body for a maximum (getting the stiff penalty) of 20 posts. After this time, the spirit is forced back into the body. Anyone can hear the spirit, and easily see the spirit cause it looks multicolored. The user may still detect the presence of nearby people (within 10 meters) of the body. They wont know who it is, just that someone is there.

Description: User is able to perform any of the 5 Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique) with this Jutsu as well as any advancements of Shunshin. Instead of creating a puff of smoke the user can create a visual effect of their choosing to rise up and swirl around the user to disguise their movements as they perform a Shunshin no Jutsu (Body Flicker Technique). The visual effect may vary such as stars swirling around the user, lines swirling around the user, sparkles swirl around the user, and etc. When first learned user is only able to create 1 effect of their choosing, however the more they use they are able to create a new effect. Example: User learns this once and makes wavy lines swirl around the user. User must learn this technique a second time in order to create a new effect.

Shunshin no Jutsu - Oshi (Push) [0020]

Effect: A Jutsu that allows a user to rush forward in almost instantaneous speed. Used to draw the user close to the opponent.

Drawback: May use 3 times a day. May perform 1 more each time learned. Passing amount renders the user's legs immobile due to severe pain. Unable to perform again unless gained medical treatment. Must move through an opening. Unable to maneuver around obstructing objects. Can't attack while performing any Shunshin or Variation.
Description: User is able to move forward in a straight line along the ground in almost instantaneous untraceable speed while temporarily masking the user's movements within 10 meters. A puff of smoke is occasionally used to disguise the user's movements. It is accomplished by focusing the user's chi along the ankles and foot. User mostly moves just with their ankles and feet. Jutsu takes up no movements. User may only use this Jutsu half of the movements may allow in a single round while rounding down. Example: User has 5 movements, user is able to perform Jutsu 2 times per round.

Description: A Sharingan based technique. The user readies a movement. Any technique the user sees performed within 7 meters + 6 meters per Class Level may copy using their readied movement. The user must meet the requirements of the technique to copy it, and if the user does not, the readied movement is wasted. The technique must be a GenJutsu or NinJutsu technique performed with handseals or half-seals, or is a Strike, or Stance TaiJutsu technique. A Chakra control technique, a technique performed with no handseals, or an Enhancement TaiJutsu technique cannot be copied. To copy a technique, user must succeed a check to identify it. If the user's check succeeds, the maneuver can be initiated. If the user succeeds, the user must pay the same Chakra cost as the technique that was performed. If the opponent performs a technique with a Jutsu Enhancement, the user can still perform the Jutsu with an added +20 difficulty to Identify the Jutsu. This ability removes the requirement for paper from the Li Clan shinobi, allowing them to perform more dangerous operations with little fear of being unable to operate due to lack of materials.

Description: Targeting a set amount of ink, the user will then perform a small set of handseals. This infuses the chakra with a combustible effect, meaning that if the proper amount of heat is applied to the ink, it will catch fire in a manner very similar to oil.

Sumi Secchakuzai (Sticky Ink) [0010]

Effect: Causes a target amount of ink to become extremely sticky, decreasing the mobility of anything it touches.

Drawback: If the user accidentally gets caught within the ink, then they too will become stuck.
Description: Performing the right handseals gathers a chakra that enters a pre-selected portion of ink. The chakra then enters the ink and, fusing with it, causes it to become very, very sticky, giving it adhesive properties, almost like glue.

Ninpou: Shimi no Jutsu [Staining Technique] [0010]

Effect: Allows the user the ability to stain an object with ink.

Description: After striking the opponent with some sort of ink, the user will perform the Ram handseal. The ink, then will soak into the object, whether it be fabric, solid, or even human skin. In such a way, the ink becomes impossible to remove for up to three hours. This way, a Li shinobi is capable of marking something and ensuring that they will be able to find that marking at a later time.

Ninpou: Choju Giga [0030, 0050, 0080]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to bring to life and control a set amount of drawings or paintings.
Special: “Hand Seals”
Drawback: The objects are made out of ink, and thus very weak. Most “D” rank attacks have the ability to completely destroy the ink creations, no matter of their own size.
Description: The user will rapidly draw several objects, usually animals, on a scroll. Then, performing the right handseals, the user will bring those objects to life and use them for offensive purposes. The monsters, made of ink, also share any special properties that the ink has.
“C” Rank- Allows for a maximum of ten small creatures at once or five medium sized creatures. This ability may be re-trained in order to increase the number of small creatures by two and the number of medium creatures by one each time this is learned. After the initial time learning this technique and four additional trainings, the user is required to perform “B” ranked training to learn more.
“B” Rank- Allows for a maximum of twenty small creatures at once or ten medium sized creatures at once, or one large sized creature at once. This ability may be retrained in order to increase the number of small creatures created at once by three, medium creatures by two, and large creatures by one. After the initial learning of the “B” Rank, it must be re-learned a total of four times before the “A” rank may be learned.
“A” Rank- Allows for a maximum of thirty five small creatures at once, or twenty medium sized creatures, or five large sized creatures at once, or one gargantuan sized creature. May be re-trained any number of times to increase the number of small creatures by five, medium creatures by three, large creatures by two, and gargantuan creatures by one.

Sumigasumi no Jutsu (Ink Mist Technique) [0010]

Description: The user performs the needed handseals and takes their chakra to dabs of paint they have at their disposal. The user then allows the body of paint to swirl up and wrap around the user at 2 feet away from the user at great speeds. The swirling chakra infused ink is to be used as a smoke screen masking the user from all eyes that may be laid upon the user.

Sumi Bunshin no Jutsu (Ink Clone Technique) [0010]

Effect: Allows the user to create up to five clones of themselves using ink.

Drawback: The Ink clones are incapable of performing any type of special techniques, only taijutsu.
Description: Gathering chakra, the user will then perform the correct handseals. Injecting that chakra into masses of ink, the user is then capable of forming that ink into a perfect likeness of his or herself. The clones, since they are made of ink, retain any special property that the ink has. The initial time that this jutsu is learned allows for the creation of a maximum of five clones- however, each time this technique is re-trained, the number of clones the user is capable of creating increases by five.
Limit: Li Clan Jutsu

Ninpou: Sumi Hyoushi [Ink Binding] [0010]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a solid line of ink that is used to bind the opponent.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: With enough physical strength, the user is capable of breaking through the bindings.
Description: A powerful ability used by Li clan individuals to hold an opponent down, usually a captive. The user will perform the technique's handseals, gathering chakra. Then, targeting their ink, they will send it flying towards the opponent. The rank of the technique determines both the strength of the binding and the amount of body that the binding can cover.
"C" Rank- Sumi Hyoushi is capable of wrapping itself in a coil-like fashion around someone's wrists or ankles. It has the strength of a hemp rope.
"B" Rank- Sumi Hyoushi is capable of wrapping itself fully around the opponent's legs or arms, constricting them towards the inner body. It has the strength of a silk rope.
"A" Rank- Sumi Hyoushi is capable of wrapping itself around the entirety of the opponent's body, like a cocoon. It, however, cannot be wrapped around the opponent's head, as this is simply a binding technique. The technique has a strength greater than silk rope, almost to that of metal chains.

Limit: Li Clan Jutsu.

Choju Boki (Super Weapon Imitation) [0010]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Allows the user to create Ink weapons from a drawing, very similar to Choju Giga.
Special: Drawing the weapons upon a scroll, then "Handseals"
Drawback: Will shatter after 10 hits, or until dispersed by the user. Weighs the same as a normal weapon you would create.
Description: The user draws said weapons upon thier canvas for drawing. Unlike Choju Giga, where the user creates animals to come to life an attack thier enemies, the user can create Inanimate weapons from thier scrolls that they can use for combat. Using the knowledge of Choju Giga, the user, instead of focusing chakra to bring his drawing to life, he focuses it into the density of the inanimate weapon that he creates, making for a makeshift Ink weapon for combat.

Sumi shourei no jutsu (ink message technique) [0010]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: The user paints a message or a letter onto a scroll, the words lift from the scroll and transform into animals. The animal is then commanded by the user to go to a specific place. Once the object arrives in the designated area, it will touch paper, and return into the original message.
Drawbacks: Depending on what the message is, and how far it travels will affect the amount of chakra used. If the object that is supposed to deliver the message is destroyed, then the message is gone. Can only use it in one board. Ex. If you are in the Mist Village, it can only be sent to one thread in the Mist Village. If you are in the Water Country, it can only be sent to someone else in the water country. The animal used must be small, something like a mouse or bird. Animals like a tiger or a bear won't work.
Description: The user paints a message or letter onto a scroll. Suddenly, the message pops up from the scroll in the shape of an animal. The user tells the animal where to go and the animal is done as it is told. Once it arrives, it delivers the message by reattaching itself to another scroll, piece of paper, or any hard surface, therefore revealing the message. The user can also create multiple versions of the message, or pieces of the same message. An example of the first would be to create 3 separate pieces of one message that can only be understood if put together. This makes it difficult for a person to intercept the letter . An example of the second would be to create 3 copies of the same message to send out to different people, instead of doing each separately. Of course, this requires more chakra to do. Used mostly to secretly deliver news to people who are long distances away, or to spy on a person.
Limit: Must be in the Li Clan. Must know choju giga.

Sumidoku [Poison Ink] [0050]

Skill: Ninjutsu
Effect: Creates a specialized poison ink that, if it enters the opponent's body, makes it extremely difficult to mold chakra.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: The user or his/her allies may still be effected by the ink, too.
Description: Performing the required handseals on a specific set of ink, usually within an inkwell, or before using Body Ink Conversion, the user will create a special type of ink that is poisonous. Imbued with a disrupting chakra, as it enters the opponent's body, they will find themselves with a much more difficult task of using techniques. The more difficult the technique, the less of a chance their ability to use it. This effect lasts on an opponent for five turns.

If the opponent attempts to use a "D" Rank technique, then they will have an 80% chance of being successful.
If the opponent attempts to use a "C" Rank technique, then they will have an 70% chance of being successful.
If the opponent attempts to use a "B" Rank technique, then they will have an 60% chance of being successful.
If the opponent attempts to use a "A" Rank technique, then they will have an 50% chance of being successful.
If the opponent attempts to use a "S" Rank technique, then they will have an 40% chance of being successful.

For every Difficulty Class that the opponent is over "D" Rank, add 5% chance to their success rate.

Yakekoge Sumi [Scorching Ink] [0050]

Effect: Causes a target amount of ink that, when focused upon, will ignite for a small moment and leave a large amount of smoke.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: Creates a large amount of smoke, which could be used by the opponent to reposition themselves, on top of making it difficult for the user to breath, as well.
Description: Unlike most of the ink abilities of the Li clan, this one is generally used on something after it has been painted. That is because, when the jutsu is used, it fills an amount of ink that is targeted with a chakra that reacts with the air, causing the ink to combust. However, the result is not an explosion, but rather a rapidly burning effect that lasts for merely a few moments, but at the same time releases an extremely large amount of black, billowing smoke. This smoke is almost impossible to see through, and, depending upon the amount of ink used for it, can be used to create a smokescreen or to force the opponent to have difficulty breathing.
Limit: Li Clan Jutsu, must know Sumi Nenshou.

Ninpou: Sumi Yakiire (Ninja Art: Ink Tempering) [0050]

Effect: Allows the ink used within Li clan techniques to dramatically harden, increasing their durability.
Special: "Hand Seals", hold the "Ram" for the duration of the technique.
Drawback: Removes the flexibility of the Li Clan techniques.
Description: A powerful supplementary Ninja Art that fits well into the repertoire of any Li Clan Shinobi, this technique channels chakra directly into the ink that is already in use. As the user performs the required handseals, they will hold the Ram seal to continue the technique. Almost instantly, the ink will begin to harden, except this time far beyond what it would normally be capable of doing naturally. The resulting ink is far superior and durable to the other ink, allowing it the capability of sustaining damage equivalent to one hit from a source two ranks below the rank of the user's Sumi Yakiire technique. While the ink is hardened, it has no flexibility and as such is incapable of moving. However, once the Ram seal is released, the chakra causing the hardened state will dissipate and the ink will begin to flow naturally once more.
Limit: Must be a shinobi of the Li Clan.

Banshou Giga (All-Creation Imitation Picture) [0110]

Effect: The user creates real, self-sustaining objects from any artwork or drawing on any surface.
Special: "Hand Seals"
Drawback: Requires a huge amount of chakra to create objects, can nearly end the battle for the user. If the object is forced to reform, it will consume a minor ("D" Rank) amount of chakra.
Description: The user is able to bring any animate or inanimate object to life, from any drawing or artwork, on any surface by distributing their chakra equally. The creations become real and self-sustaining, which means that if they are damaged in any way, the object will reform and become whole once more in a manner of seconds. Inanimate objects include but are not limited to: non-special weapons, tools, houses, bridges, etc. Animate objects include but are not limited to: animals, plants, and individuals. If the user decides to create animals or individuals with this technique in order to fight for them, it should be noted that even though they are real, self-sustaining and can think independently or dependently from the user, they will not have a usable chakra circulatory system and thus will not be able to use any Nin, Gen, or special Taijutsu against the opponent. Also, all objects created with this technique will not be able to fool the Byakugan or Sharingan. All inanimate objects will last until the user decides to dispel them; The number of objects capable of being created is dependent upon the user's rank of Choju Giga. These creations will last until the user dispels them or runs completely out of chakra.

They can continue to train their ability to pinpoint the location of a sound to increase the distance it can be pinpointed from by ten meters each time, capping off at fifty meters.

Description: Without the use of hand seals, the user focuses charka to their own eardrums and creates a thick layer over them, without seals this takes a total of three seconds. In doing so, the user becomes temporarily deaf and incapable of hearing sounds what so ever. This layer of charka however may not be canceled by will, and the user must wait for the duration of the jutsu for it to end. The effects of such a jutsu last only two posts due to the weak strength of it, however it is completely effective at making the user deaf.

Description: The user send a powerful and high pitched noise directly at an opponent. The user may use their vocal cords or weapon to emit the sound, which is launched at a 60 degree radius. The sound waves do not target hearing, but rather an opponent bone structure. The sound waves hits the solid bones and bounces off of them, causing them to vibrate. This vibration is extremely painful to the opponent, can tamper with an opponent's actions. The opponent can still move and hear, but attacks and movements are severely hindered (C- rank=3 post, B-Rank=6 posts). The duration of the jutsu depends on the distance from the user that the target is, decreasing by one third with every increment of one third. [ex: Someone 5 meters away from the C version get the full effect, but someone 15 meters away gets hit by the effect for only 2 posts] C-Ranks reaches a maximum of 30 meters, B-Ranks reaches a Maximum of 60 meters.

Drawback: Other (large) sources of sound may cancel out this jutsu. Also, the users hands at the same time cannot be used for anything else (explained below).
Description: The bard begins to sing a soft, melodic tune and chakra begins to flow a short distance in front of their mouth. All sounds emitted after the tune finishes are converted and charged by the chakra, to become far deadlier. The chakra compresses, and alters the sounds wave lengths, forcing them into a smaller area (roughly the size of senbon needles). The entire process occurs within fractions of a sec and the user is able to create multiple sound bullets. The sound bullet itself must be aimed before fired, though this is part of the creation process and does not require the user to move their head. Upon hitting the opponent, the sound bullets travel right through the human body. Once inside the body, the sound bullet clashes against every cell in the vicinity, vibrating them violently. Water retained in the cell vibrate so much, that they explode upon themselves. To the opponent, he/she will suffer searing pain in the area where the sound bullet hits. This jutsu is best used on open extremities of the opponent. C-Rank: The user is able to create three sound bullets that travel a maximum of 40 meter. B-Rank: The user is able to create 6 sound bullets that travel a maximum of 60 meters.

The field can be activated anytime on the user's turn as a non-movement, and deactivated in the same manner. While the field is active, a person that lays eyes on, hears, or smells the user must make a Will save to avoid dismissing the user as an unimportant detail in the background, allowing him to hide in plain sight, without using cover. If the user is stationary, the user gains a +10 bonus to stealth checks against subjects failing their saves. Every time the user leaves a creature's line of sight for more than 5 rounds, it must make a new save to resist the technique regardless of the previous success or failure. At the beginning of the Jutsu, the user must name the recipient or identify them by some title that leaves no doubt as to identity. The messenger then enters a trance, appears in the intended recipient's dream, and delivers the message. The message may be transferred between boards within the same country. The message can be of any length, and the recipient remembers it perfectly upon waking. The communication is one-way. The recipient cannot ask questions or offer information, nor can the messenger gain any information by observing the dreams of the recipient. Once the message is delivered, the messenger's mind returns instantly to its body. The duration of the Jutsu is the time required for the messenger to enter the recipient's dream and deliver the message. If the recipient is awake when the Jutsu begins, the messenger can choose to wake up (ending the Jutsu) or remain in the trance. The messenger can remain in the trance until the recipient goes to sleep, then enter the recipient's dream and deliver the message as normal. A messenger that is disturbed during the trance comes awake, ending the Jutsu. Creatures who don't sleep or don't dream cannot be contacted by this Jutsu. 1 - 2 - Insomnia: Target is unable to sleep. After 4d6 hours, they becomes fatigued.
3 - 4 - Compulsive Lying: Target is unable to tell the truth.
5 - 7 - Phobia (Creature): Target is irrationally afraid of certain creatures. The target suffers a -20 penalty to Attack Damage, skill checks, and -4 to Saves in regard to these creatures. In addition, these creatures gain a +2 morale bonus to Saves caused by the target. The Game Master determines the creature type. Typical selections include arachnids, insects, or snakes.

Effect: The user is capable of performing a few handseals in which gives them the capability of blowing a large body of fire in size of a large sphere that has great fire proportions and explosive capabilities.

Drawback: Depending on the Rank, is dependent on how strong or how much the user is capable of doing with the Goukakyuu no Jutsu.
Description: The user quickly performs a few handseals. The user then places the hand over their mouth creating a small like circle. This technique in turn is then to help the user control the great flame. The use then blows out and creates a large fireball that twice the size of a normal human body. When the "C" Rank version is first learned the user is only capable of blowing out the Great Fireball that is cannot be moved or go anywhere else. This also means that the technique does not explode in a fiery explosion, but burns greatly to anyone that is caught within the technique. When the user learns the "B" Rank version then the user is capable blowing the Great Fireball into the distance, sending it away from the use it to hurl towards the very opponent. This technique is only capable of going into a straight line and this is capable of having the size three times the size of a human body. This technique when launched at an opponent then becomes dangerous because at this point the technique can explode causing damage that is even more devastating.

Effect: A Fire technique in which the user shoots out two streams of fire along each side of the user towards a group of enemies in which encircles around the enemy creating a wall of fire.

Description: The user first performs the handseals that they need. Then they slam their hands together as the user concentrates along the heat around them. Focusing their chakra, two streams of fire is launched from the user, one along the left, and another along the right. These streams shoot off towards multiple enemies. The user is capable of creating streams of fire within the distance of fifty meters, encircling enemies within twenty-meter radius. The fire is two meters in width as the height reaches up to five meters in the air as it spins violently trapping those within. This type of fire is used as an encasing Jutsu, capable of trapping the opponents inside using intensive heat for the enemy. This type of fire when first learned the user is capable of just encircling the enemies as the speed of the fire entraps the enemies within. When the user learns the "B" Rank version of this technique the user is capable of enclosing the Fire to burn the enemies within a ring of fire as it ends. This process takes one turn to do. This technique is also capable of being used to shoot out a ring of fire towards the opponents if the user wishes.

Drawback: The User could easily be caught within the technique, burning himself within the hot ash. This technique does not discriminate between friend and foe. Only lasts for one post before diminishing into the air.
Description: User forms the needed hand seals and focuses chakra to their throat and mouth. Inhaling, the user releases a large wave of steaming hot black ash from their mouth, out towards the opponent. The ash quickly covers an area of 10 meters wide and 20 meters in front of them, leaving the hot ash in a 30 meter Cone expelling from the user, 8 feet high into the air, in about 1 second. This ash hinders all sight while active, except DouJutsu. However only remains within the air for one turn (6 Seconds). This ash upon contact, will instantly burn whoever is caught within, leaving second degree burns (B Rank Damage) along the effected body parts.

Description: The user performs a few quick handseals as they quickly take the same concept as that of the Goukakyuu no Jutsu. The user then spits out or hurls out up to five small sized fireballs towards the enemy. Each fireball creates massive amounts of burns but does not burst forth in an explosion. As each fireball makes contact with something, they spread out the fire creating a more of an area effect within the fire. The user is capable of using this technique in conjunction with multiple secondary weapons such as kunai or shuriken. The opponent is incapable of noticing the projectiles until the fire is extinguished in mid air. This technique is used typically to hide or to be used as a diversion for more of a powerful technique. As a D ranked ninja, the user is able of shooting 5 balls of fire. After the user goes up a difficulty class, they are capable of shooting 5 more fireballs.

Drawback: This type of technique is better used if the opponent is bonded down and unable to be moved.
Description: A Large creation is created as the user performs the necessary handseals for the technique. As the user does so they raise their hand up over their mouth. By taking in a deep, breathe the user fills their lungs with chakra to in, which ignites the moment they blow out air. As the user blows out the creation of fire is made taking the form of a giant dragon like creature. The Dragon is quickly hurled towards the opponent as the dragon swivels and swerves moving like that of a Chinese Dragon. When first learned the Dragon does not explode forth but the very flames oozes out spreading out in all directions that would wrap around the opponent in a blaze of glory. When the user learns the "B" Rank version the user is capable of pushing so much power into the technique to where when it touches the target it is needed it is ignited in a mass blaze of glory, creating a grand explosion.

Effect: A Defensive technique to where the user concentrates on the chakra within their body. The user pushes the chakra out as they use the body heat within their very body to create a sphere of flaming heat all around the user in a grand radius. Depending on how well the user knows this technique is dependent on the distance, this technique can be used.

Drawback: If the user is capable of performing this technique twice in a battle or twice within every ten rounds, the user will collapse with fatigue and high temperature.
Description: This technique is used as a defensive style technique. The user concentrates on the chakra within their body and exerts out in a large blast. The chakra is pushed out in a blazing flame and creates a large amount of heat to be used as a defensive technique. The technique pushes or removes anything around the user, to allow the user an amount of space needed. When first learned the technique is capable of being pushed in a five-meter radius. Each Rank learned the technique increases in distance by ten meters. This would be the basis for all NinJutsu Specialists. However if the user is a Non NinJutsu Specialist the distance only increases by five meters. If the user is a NinJutsu Master, the distance increases by fifteen meters.

Description: The user performs the handseals, creating a cycle of energy that creates heat at the bottom of the user’s feet. When the user then steps onto the ground, if what they are walking on top of is combustible (like grass), then it will begin to smoke and, if given enough oxygen, will then create a small fire about four seconds later. It is in this way that the user can trap opponents or create barriers while creating an effective escape.

Instead of one large dragon like form being shot forth towards the opponent, the user is capable of increasing the amount of them into an amount of three draconic creations with similar devastation.

Drawback: They are only capable of going in a straight line. Projectory may not change directions.
Description: A Large creation is created as the user performs the necessary handseals for the technique. As the user does, so they raise their hand up over their mouth. As the user blows out the creation of fire is made taking the form of a giant dragon like creature. Then without notice or movement the large dragon splits into three smaller sized forms of dragons as they twist and turn around one another heading towards the intended target. This technique is used to where the user is capable of controlling each dragon to hit at different times. The user is capable of pushing so much power into the technique to where when it touches the target it is needed it is ignited in a mass blaze of glory, creating a grand explosion for each form.

Effect: The user concentrates their chakra along the palm of their hands. As the user does, so they are capable of creating a longsword like weapon made out of fire out of the palm of their hand.

Drawback: This technique tends to burn the user's hands and is only capable of staying out for two rounds with a five round rest before the hands suffer great damage. For each round the user keeps the fire Blade out past the two rounds the user is unable to use that hand for ten rounds.
Description: The user creates a large blade made out of fire along the palm of their hands. The user does so by creating a few handseals and holds their hands near their body. The user takes in a deep breathe blows out the air towards the palm of his hands. The user then blows in a straight line away from the user as the fire begins to formulate around the palm of the hand creating the large blade. This technique is capable of being used as a quick defensive style move, or may be used as a split offensive slashing attack.

Drawback: Requires a lot of the user’s breath, leaving them winded for one turn after the technique is performed. It is possible to be caught within these explosions if they are shot too close to the user.
Description: The user performs the handseals, performing a variation of the Fire Gatling Technique. These fireballs rush outwards at a rapid pace, about five fireballs shot every second. These fireballs are about six inches in diameter. When a fireball strikes something solid, it will then explode, creating a small dome of fire about one foot in diameter.

Description: This technique does not count against the user's Release Training Points. Water is one of the basic elemental nature transformation techniques allowing the user to manipulate pre-existing water by turning their Chakra into Water. It takes much more ability to create the water outside the body than to manipulate what is already available or expel it from their mouths (Need Water Creation Technique from Jutsu Enhancement Techniques). Water Release techniques can not only change shape but state as well. Moreover, the water becomes more solid in the process as well, and certain techniques can even allow the user to increase the water's density or viscosity, making it a suitable element to capture the targets. Offensive water techniques seem to inflict harm from the sudden force that they exert, which would cause massive internal damage to a human. Any Save Difficulty mentioned in a technique, whether Fortitude or Will is based off of 10 + 2 per Class Level + Impeccable Will. Some Ice Release techniques need pre-existing ice, snow, or water nearby in order to be used. Techniques that require a small source of water nearby is measured between 1.5 to 6 cubic meters. Medium is measured between 6 to 30 cubic meters. Large is measured between 30 cubic meters to 350 cubic meters. Huge is measured between 350 cubic meters to 1,500 cubic meters. Colossal is measured by anything more than 1,500 cubic meters.

Description: Range of this technique is 6 meters. Area of effect is a cloud spreading from the user 6 meter radius and 6 meters high. This technique requires a medium source of water nearby. A misty vapor arises around the user. It is stationary. The vapor obscures all sight, including darkvision, beyond 2 meters. A creature 2 meters away has concealment. Creatures farther away have total concealment, and the attacker cannot use sight to locate the target. A moderate wind (11+ mph), such as from a Gust of Wind Jutsu, disperses the fog in 4 rounds. A strong wind (21+ mph) disperses the fog in 1 round. A fireball, flame strike, or similar Jutsu burns away the fog in the explosive or fiery Jutsu's area. A wall of fire burns away the fog in the area into which it deals damage. This Jutsu does not function underwater.

User may create 5 clones per Class Level. Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level. This Water technique creates mist replications that act like illusions, which can appear one by one from trees, and rocks, and then corners the enemy. Their movements are somehow slow, allowing only 2 movements per Round. Each Clone has 1 Armour Point. When hit the clone multiples into two clones, and in this way they appear like ghosts inhabiting the mist. Clones may attack but deal no damage. As the clones continue to multiply rapidly, the victim will eventually be worn down.

Description: Range of this technique is personal. Duration of this technique is 5 rounds per Class Level. This technique requires a small source of water nearby. Using this technique, the user is able to create a replica of themselves with water. This version looks and carries equipment similar to the user except it being made of water. The user may create 2 clones +1 per Class Level. While the replications are not capable of sentient thought, they share a bond of sort that allows the user to communicate orders to their clones; the bond is only one way, though, and the clones cannot send orders, thoughts or images to the user. As such, the clones follow the user's instructions to the letter. A Water Replication is its own person and if caught in a GenJutsu, only the replica will be affected, and not the user and/or the whole group of clone. The clones have 2 Armour Points per Class Level of the user, saves equal to that of the user -2. It may not have more than 2 movements per round. It does not benefit from any Temporary bonuses the user may currently have. A Water Replication has a Bludgeoning Resistance 15 and takes 1/2 as much fire damage. A Water Replication may not stray further than 1 mile from the user, although it if is not within 30 meters of the source it was created from, it suffers a -5 penalty skill checks. It cannot use any techniques at all, and carries the very same equipment as the user except chakra-dependent items such as exploding tags. Poison and mastercraft bonuses are not carried over to the clone's equipment. Lastly, it cannot normally perform any activities requiring particular attention, such as sensing chakra, setting off an exploding tag or carrying a serious conversation. Once the clone reaches 0 Armour Points, strays too far from another clone or the user or the duration expires, it disappears in a puff of smoke. While the user can freely replace any clones lost by using this technique more than once, the user cannot control a number greater of clone than the specified maximum. The user can also choose to dissipate a single clone (or more) of their choice rather than the whole group. The user also cannot control any other sort of clone while using this technique.

Description: Wind release is 1 of the 5 basic elemental nature transformations. Most offensive Wind Release techniques are performed by making chakra as sharp and thin as possible, however, wind can also be generated as a large, concussive force to overwhelm a target. Wind-based techniques are mainly short to mid-ranged offensive techniques that combine brute force and keen precision to deal slashing damage. Wind Release also specifies in deflecting and even reflecting attacks. Wind Techniques come in 7 Wind Effects, which interfere with ranged attacks, or impose penalties on some skill checks. Wind Effects are described in the Combat section of the Player's Handbook under Weather in the Movement and Position section. At D rank the user can walk while performing Wires of the Demon Techniques. At C rank the user can run while performing Wires of the Demon Techniques. At B rank user can have full mobility, including jumping, flipping, or even flying if applicable while performing Wires of the Demon Techniques. At S rank user can dodge while using Wires of the Demon Techniques, which converts the Demon Weaver strikes into counter attacks.

Effect: Two basic stances used in the art of swordsmanship.

Description: Hiryu no Kamae , Chosui no Kamae , The two stances known as Hiryu and Chosui no Kamae keep the same concept as that of the other stances within the past such as Tenchi Hasso no Kamae, Fudo no Kamae, Seigan no Kamae and Chudan no Kamae to where the user keeps their right or left foot forward having their toes pointing forwards. Their opposite foot is shaped in an "L" shaped keeping their legs in equal motion. Their feet are perpendicular from one another as face forward their feet and legs are in shoulder width apart. The two stances are both mirrored against one another, as both stances have their attacking arm, the arm that is the same as the leg that is forward at the base of the hilt, while the other arm is at the end of the hilt. The sword is pointing downwards almost touching the ground as the arm is held straight holding the sword in a forty five degree angle downwards.
Limit: Must Learn from a Master of Burēdono Kenseijin.

Effect: A basic stances used in the art of swordsmanship.

Description: Kasumigakure no Kamae , A stance that is completely different than that of all the others. The footing is different than any other stance, the posture is completely different as well. The user will start in the basic form where one leg would be further forward from the body of the user while the other leg would be along the back of the body. The user would turn sideways by keeping this same form, and slide the back leg further backwards. As the user does this the user takes the time to raise his arms up in a defensive manner as the blade of the sword is pointing upwards. The sword is slightly higher than that of the user's head as they hold one arm along the front end of the hilt, and the other hand holding the back end of the hilt.
Limit: Must Learn from a Master of Burēdono Kenseijin.
