hat!?! What are you spying with those big jelly rocks, you little shit?!?!?!?! Fair! Yes! And bright." She spat the words. Like her cold oatmeal! All over an ugly morning in the Land of Water. Her voice was the sound of a blasphemy, its tone convulsing through awkward pitch. Had she not been alone people would stare at her. She had big lumbering steps like a grown man, but was only a small girl of fourteen, her facial expression severe and lazy, then expanding as if her mouth were filled with air, then cackling at a tree, whispering to it lovingly, slapping it like a child. The animals and insects nearby were silent. Maybe scared. Maybe annoyed. Huge footfalls, almost running, bowl of oatmeal in hand. She stopped moving suddenly and sniffed the air. Was that a Dragon Turtle?!?!?!?!?! Of course not-- yes. Maybe. Anyway.
Observation
Rank: "E"
Skill: Sophisticated Skill
Effect: User's senses allow the user to notice find details and alert the user to danger.
Special: ---
Drawback: ---
Description: Relevant Abilities: Perception Skill. Die Rolls: 1 Die Roll. Check Requirement: Game Master/Described. This skill focuses certain powers of observation - sight, smell, hearing, and touch. A failed check indicates that the character is oblivious until the thing is pointed out to him. This skill is important for ferreting out advancing enemies or ambushes, generally real-time events and actions occurring, versus scrutiny, which covers static objects or areas. A Game Master may roll an Observation skill check for the Character any time there is an NPC, creature, event or happening that a character might notice, even if they did not specifically state that they are monitoring their surroundings. Characters are capable of noticing any event within their perception; this skill will typically be used as a competing check against another's attempt to avoid detection (stealth, etc). Observation reveals only facts, not motivation. Some practical applications of Observation follow:

Once emptied across her shark-toothed grin, the bowl was thrown forcefully. She spun around, facing behind her, pointing suddenly at an astonished frog. The frog, up until this point, had always assumed he'd done a pretty good job of hiding from humans, and released a bit of mucous over his eyes to comfort himself. What a failure. What will the other frogs think? Shango knew that this sort of self doubt occurred all the time, and nodded with a sincere smile. She was so clever! Yes! So very much so!
And then Shango was not alone anymore, she just felt it. Was this her fabled ninja observational skill perk gift mutant superpower senses!?!?!?! Likely, yes.
She began furiously scanning the horizon, a red mop of thick hair carrying an assortment of blades that she checked on through the folds of Dancing Otis. She stared at her brown 'lucky' cloak now, adjusted it, touched her flat chest sadly for a second, then beating the same area with both fists roaring to the heavens. "Faces! I plan to see them! Soon! Yours! And Yours! Who is out there?!?!?!? Make your pickle less fickle this instant!" No voices returned her strange grunting challenge-call. But she could feel it! Eyes! Beady ones, perhaps, or segmented! Ya never know, right? She placed her right hand on the hilt of her blade cautiously, smiled too wide, covered her face with her left hand, jostled the tanglefoot bags she carried as if they were excess belly fat. Laughing! Sometimes pointing. Kicking dust at the shadows surrounding her.
Someone was out there. Someone was coming. Who! Who?!?!!?!?!
