Kyogi had made it through the gates. The wind at his face and grass at his feet a smile grew upon his face. Withdrawing his map and compass Kyogi realized just how little gear he kept on his person. Aside from those he simply kept his goggles and their various lenses. It was enough to get by for now though perhaps he should seek more tools in the future. Traveling to the gates Kyogi had decided on a location he hadn't seen. His finger pointed at the land of water but it wouldn't be a straight shot over there.

Without time to lose Kyogi took off at a running pace. Eyes were locked on the map and compass as he moved through the countryside. It had been too long since he'd traveled like this. Kyogi knew in no time he'd reach the land of hotsprings. From there he could find a boat and travel outward to the land of water. He decided to keep his goal to visit the other villages shelved for now letting the Otokage know about something like that would probably be wise first. However he was sure there was much to do without seeing the hidden mist village. His first stop was Yu no Kuni.

During his travel to the land of hot springs Kyogi felt his stomach grumble. Had it really been that long since he'd had a good meal? Kyogi noted to try and find something before his boat ride to the land of water but he didn't want to eat too much. Rumors had it that the water country had some of the best and freshest seafood. Kyogi licked his lips making sure to keep his appittite for when he arrived.

It had taken Kyogi a bit longer than expected to make it into tea country so he decided not to stop for snacks and simply beeline to the shores he'd seen on the map. Once he neared the coast a dock came into view. Along the coast a small shack caught his eye which read "boat rides". Perfect he thought to himself approaching the small shack. Informing the man behind the counter of hit location to the water country he was surprised to be told it was his lucky day as there was a boat leaving in a minute. Kyogi thanked the man and promised to bring back a souvenir or something if he came back this way on his return to sound.

Hopping on the boat Kyogi greeted a few others as it left the docks and shore it wouldn't take long until he reached the land of water and possibly some fresh seafood. Aside from that he wasn't sure why he had his heart set on the country but he was sure he could find some good to occupy his time with.

Arriving on the shore Kyogi felt his stomach rumble. Perhaps he should've gotten a snack but he'd have missed this boat if he had. Thanking the one who brought them here Kyogi went ashore and further into the countryside in search of sustenance and perhaps some amusement.

Kyogi had explored the countryside a bit and was leaving earlier than he planned. However he felt he ought get back to sound and spend some more time there. Many things were on his mind but trying to become a jonin was certainly one. Perhaps bringing Tsu on some missions would help his case plus the kid could use the experience. Kyogi was sure he was rusty too. Once more he found himself by the shores hitching a ride with some friendly boatsmen. Getting his own boat couldn't hurt but he certainly didn't have the funds for that at the moment. As they set off into the ocean it wouldn't be long before was home again.
