Description: Dead bodies have been reported and brought to the local autopsy chambers in the Sunagakure hospital. Head there and take some testimonies by speaking to the locals before heading to the hospital.

Following the Strands [Mission|Private]

Valerys had taken on the face of Kuroi as she was given her mission to follow the trail of clues left by some enemy, who had left dead bodies all about the hospital. Normally she would have been all in favor of the killing, but this time the village had sent her to investigate and put a stop to such things so she had to play nice. She was wearing her black dress and had blonde hair and blue eyes. A cute girl, but with Bitter Mercy on her back it was clear that she was not messing around. Her messenger pack was also flung across her side but it didn't hold very much at the moment. She started in the direction of the Sungakure hospital and as she did, Kuroi looked at all the civilians. Many of them seemed sad and upset. It appeared that the deaths had affected this community.

Kuroi stopped along he way to talk to some of the civilians, as her mission had detailed, and started with a young woman who had been crying near one of the local pubs. Kuroi walked up to her and began to tell her how sorry she was, impoloring the young lady to tell her what was going on around here (Current Affairs: 125). The woman said that her boyfriend had went and joined up with a criminal organization in the underbelly of town. Kuroi was very interested in this but kept her curiosity under control, spending just enough time to console the woman before getting her to say more. Apparently her boyfriend had been meeting up with them in secret, and bringing them money, stolen goods, and helping them murder their foes. Apparently, however, recently the man had not returned home and so this woman had been left without a way f finding him, afraid that telling anyone would get him into even more trouble.

But here sh3 was, unable to handle herself and crying, and Kuroi saw this as an opportunity to take advantage of a woman in pain. The two of them discussed where Kuroi may be able to find members of this group and the woman's boyfriend.

"I'm going to find these men," Kuroi said wanting to act like the heroine for her, "and I'm going to get revenge for you." Although, it wouldn't probably work out this way. The woman thanked Kuroi and then she was off again, in the direction of the hospital. As she got closer, Kuroi did see an old man in some dark robes walking down the streets of the city. He didn't seem a particularly nice person, so she followed them with the hopes of getting some information. The man walked down an alleyway and began to look around nervously, as if he was suspicious of someone. He took a couple of turns and then ended up trying to throw Kuroi off.

He took off running down the alleyway and taking various turns, thinking that his stalker would not keep up. Kuroi, however, was no average person and ran with the speed of an S-rank taijutsu specialist. As they were around the autopsy chambers and this man had been so nervous, Kuroi ambushed him -- forcing him against the wall when she was given an opportunity. She blinked in front of him as he was running, catching him off guard and appearing suddenly in front of him. She looked somewhat like a young girl, but all of it done for the illusion. Her blonde hair floated around her face as she stood up to him, showing the man that she wasn't messing around. "Now tell me what you know..."

The man claimed that he didn't know anything, so Kuroi decided that she was going to need to play with him a little more to make sure that this was the true. Unfortunately, she didn't have Akumu's extraodinary sensory skills with her. She grabbed at Bitter Mercy and stabbed the polearm forward, slashing the wall directly beside the man's body (a precise miss) and said, "Tell me now or you're gonna die." Kuroi looked into his eyes letting him know that she was serious -- she didn't have any time for this shit. If he didn't tell her now then she was going to have to go to Plan B...

But it turned out that he was accomadating. The man suddenly began to whimper at her speed and strength, telling her, "There's a gang in town. They've been selling poisons and drugs down in the underbelly of the city, I've only purchased a few of them and only for personal use -- I've never killed anyone. You have to believe me." Kuroi huffed and pulled Bitter Mercy out of the wall, turning away from this pathetic man. "I don't care if you kill someone," Kuroi said, "but I guess this time it paid off. Now keep your mouth shut about this. I'd be very displeased to figure out that you blabbed about me~" The man looked at her wide eyed. "You understand?" He started to nod quickly. "Good." 

After that Kuroi commenced with her walk toward the hospital. She arrived after a short time and went in, telling the doctors who she was and they led her down the hallways and to the morgue where all of the dead bodies were kept for autopsy. The room was dimly lit and the air was dry, and smelled strong of the odor of fecund earth. Several doctors stayed in there with her as Kuroi looked the bodies over, going ever each detail including the small punctures on their forearm. "And what is this?" Kuroi asked. The doctors explained that the people appeared to have been poisoned by someone or something, although whether it was a bite mark or some weaponry they could not tell. Whoever had done it was good at concealing their methods. Kuroi took note of this, as it meant that the individuals involved were no ordinary villians. Each of the bodies seemed to display these same puncture wounds, indicating this was indeed how they had died. The wound was made up of two small slits, which caused the skin to turn dark around the cuts and oozed small drops of blood.

One of the doctors said that he could give a testimony of the life of one of the patients after they arrived at the hospital. The doctor claimed that a man came in, looking pale and sickly, claiming that he had been attacked in his sleep. The doctors examined him, and as they did he began to go through the seizures. The patients eyes rolled back in his head and he convulsed before coming back to consciousness, just long enough for the doctors to assess him a little more before he seized up again. The behavior was devastating, and before long he had died -- his body convulsing so powerfully that it tore his muscles and left him unable to do anything but lay there and shake. Kuroi noted the horror, the devastation, and knew that the Kazekage would not be okay with this. "Thank you for your time," Kuroi said, "I'll be back soon to rid you of this nuisance. Thank you for your information." And with that Kuroi would leave and be back on her way to the tower to report what she had discovered.
