Character Depth
Personality
Trained to be both elite and a warrior since a young child, Hazuki has grown to understand that the weak are food for the strong. Fueled by an underlying love for combat, the Kaguya is heavily dedicated to his training. Not shy by far, he just prefers to be alone; more often than not he can be found off alone somewhere conditioning his body, or practicing his taijutsu. A true warrior understands his limits, and he does.. it is part of the reason he trains so hard .. to relinquish himself of such things.
Coddled since a child under the umbrella of such a powerful family, Hazuki is more than confident in his own abilities. This confidence, coupled with what he has learned and accomplished, has created a being not only calm and disciplined, but arrogant and callous as well. In his eyes, for him to receive a challenger capable of standing up to his talent and skill is no short of one in a million, and on the odd-stance of such happening, it would become a main goal of his to render such a thing as blasphemous, whether through insults or the cold metallic edge of his blade.
Ever since he could speak, he has been drowned in the teachings of the Kaguya by his father. Taking great pride in being a part of the bloodline, he holds the Shikotsumyaku in the highest regard. Of all the techniques in his arsenal, he favors his kekkei genkai above them all. He feels no need to hide it and mainly for two reasons: 1)it is a main staple in his offense and, 2)it is an open invitation for those who hold disdain for his clan.
No stranger to the art of murder--Whether bare-handed or with an instrument, the kill never phases the bone user. In fact, it is in the kill that perhaps he finds the most enjoyment. What is the point of having power if you can't use it?He'd rather not waste his time with kittens in a tree, or protecting the ramen shop while Mr.Takanaka tends to errands-- rather he be tasked with assassinating the old man in the apex of the night shrouded in darkness.
Though kind and respectful in his speech, and benevolence in his actions, their is a darkness that hangs about him like a shadow. Those who have bore witness to such find it a difficult thing to describe, but likens the feeling and the atmosphere to death. Naught but a puppet to the one above, Hazuki's fate seems liable to go whichever which way.
Appearance
Almost as if it were an ode to the Kaguyan gods, a luscious, vibrant mane sits atop the crown of the young Shikotsumyaku user. Its' color is reminiscent of fresh snow-- white, almost translucent. From the color one would think the boy hailed from the frosted lands of Yuki no Kuni, but when one understands the family that Hazuki has descended from, his hair is no longer likened to the white of snow .. In the simplest of terms, the hue of his mane matches the bone-white ivory of the bloodlines secrets. A true descendent of the kekkei genkai, it is a true display whenever his crown is displayed in tandem with the Dead Bone Pulse techniques.
His face, one seemingly crafted to perfection, holds no scars. It could be from his ability to manipulate his facial structure, or his ability to manipulate the bones density, but for whatever reason his face seems .. perfect. For him. A fine nose rests in the center, towering over vibrant, thick and full lips. Perhaps passed down from his mother's side, Hazuki's ears are slightly elongated like that's of a wolf.
A trained warrior for most of his life, it is only right for the boy to be muscular and toned. Further enhanced by the admantine that is his skeletal system, it doesn't take one much to notice the layers of muscles that has built up over the years. A heavy training regiment sees to it that he stays fit; dabbling in both strength and agility training, his body is what it should be: compact, light, and powerful. His legs too share this muscular makeup, as he has practiced extensively with techniques like that of the body flicker. He takes pride in his speed, and it can be seen with each lofty stride that he takes-- or each blow that he lands.
As for his clothing, he can often been seen wearing clothes that are loose fitting. As a close quarters combatant, Hazuki prefers to stay light on his feet, and his wardrobe stays true to that. His clothes can be compared to that of a monk; simple, plain wardrobes with the utmost fluidity and comfortability. Bandages adorn his ankles just above his feet, which are often placed inside of sandals or boots typical of shinobi. When venturing o UT from the village, a hooded ebony cloak obscures his persona from all those who would call him a stranger.
Recently enlisted to the forces of Kusagakure, his headband can hardly ever be seen on his person. He carries it with him, but the village isn't his home yet.
Regardless, his step is calm and casual, yet carries with it a sense of honor and fluidity. He doesn't simply move to move; no, he moves with purpose and intent. Similar to his father, he boasts the aura of a fighter .. More so true when you watch him move with blade in hand, almost dance-like, with flow and balance impeccable. It is there, in plain sight, but hidden under the sophistication of a scholar.
Background
A peaceful life in Kusagakure was not always a reality for the young descendant of the fabled Shikyomatsu technique .. He had been blessed with the gift to utilize the Dead Bone Pulse, a right reserved for those fortunate enough to possess the blood of the Kaguya. It could have been that he inherited the kekkei genkai gene stronger than anyone else, or perhaps it was simply his natural talent, but his proficiency with his bloodlimit had always been advanced, even as a child-- it seemed to compliment his being perfectly, as he often found himself dabbling down the path of a taijutsu master; although he had the ability to mold chakra, his prowess in close quarters combat had rarely presented the need to.
As a young boy(younger than he is now), life among the wilds of Mizu No Kuni saw him plenty of battle: tragedy for the Kaguya Clan had come long ago, much before his time, but even still the effects would linger to this day. From the day of his birth, he would know no home-- a ragtag band of nomads, from all different lineages-- patched together by his father and his close comrades, formed the most efficient group of bandits the country had ever seen. They ravaged the lands of the country, staying far away and constantly on the move to avoid the military force of the Hidden Mist.
First born son to the infamous warrior, Kaguya,Nagato--said to have killed 100 men with a single display of his Bone Pulse-- it was destined for Hazuki to take the path of a warrior. His mother, although not a Kaguya, also specialized in taijutsu, but that isn't what made her special. Kushina was unique, a renegade prodigy of the Inuzuka-- her skills in the wilds were second to none. The best tracker in the band by far, even without the help of her 3 companion wolves, she was a part of the reason the group had never come into contact with forces of the Bloody Mist Village. Together, in battle, the two were often compared to fighting a ravaging storm, but the truth were they were more like a glacier--- slippery, steady, and unstoppable.
From the moment he was able to gather and hunt, Hazuki was trained with the finest of the regent. While he was learning the ins and outs of what it meant to be a Kaguya- swift, efficient, and powerful-- from his father, Kushina was showing him her talents when it came to nature. Hazuki took in the lessons from both parents as he grew, mixing and coagulating each to form his own way of combat.
From skirmishes with rival groups, raids on encampments, even clan duels, Hazuki has had a hand in all of them. Whether it be his physical talent, or a mysterious force protecting him, blows that seemed as if they should connect always seem to fall a slither short. Never known to be a cruel child, it was strange the sensation he felt when the blood of his first victim slid down the bone white ivory of his bloodlimit. At the time, there seemed to be no choice, but in the back of his mind something told him otherwise.
It was during these times that he was taught a special technique of the clan to reduce the toxins in his body; his willingness to utilize his kekkei genkai would come at a price, yet with knowledge of the ancient teachings, the worst of the poison could be neglected.
Current day and age, Nagato and Kushina made their leave from the family they've known for so long, dragging Hazuki along by extension. Using connections formed over the years, they found a home in Kusagakure. Far from anyone who wanted them dead, they settled down. Both at the age of retirement, it was only befitting to encourage Hazuki to enlist as a shinobi. He was talented, capable, strong and smart-- surely, he'd bring prosperity to the family name.
If only they knew...
