Amegakure No Sato - あめがくれ の さと
Village Hidden In The Rain
Amegakure no Sato houses the shinobi of Rain, a battle tested people, who like the eternal rains of the country, persist. The village is a bustling city, its buildings rising from the ground into the heavens. Truly the architects of the village had no coordination or sense of art, instead going for dark colors and constructing buildings as tall as possible. Due to the near constant rain, the possibility of sewage overflow is very real, hence why the sheer height of buildings.
The civilians and shinobi of the Village Hidden in the Rain have gotten used to this, preferring no other place in the world than Amegakure no Sato. It is said that an Ame nin cannot fall asleep without hearing the familiar sound of rain upon their windows. To any outsider, the village would be depressing, alien and macabre. But to its people, every day is proof that they are great, as their living conditions are difficult and sulky yet they thrive. The fact that they have survived for so long and are happy, is what keeps its people going.
Filled with pride for its own people, Amegakure has only sought alliances in the past when it was absolutely necessary. It has never depended upon others, instead relying more on each other than on any outside power. During the first Amekage's reign, the village was completely isolated from the outside world. It was only after the first leader of the village died and was replaced by the second that the village began partaking in international affair, sending its Genin to Chuunin exams, going on missions and whatnot.
However the village is not what it's predecessors used to be. The village has gone rampant with shady dealing and corrupt justice. A startling lack of leadership and direction has driven the village into a state of distress. With no leader to guide them and no path drawn out for them, will the once prideful village be able to regain their true form?
The Statues that stand as presence of the past Amekage:

With the new reign of the new Amekage coming into fruition, only time can tell what can be made out of the village. However dark storms lay ahead in the village's wake and the rain turns darker into crimson. Will the village stand high and tall or shall it crumble under the weathering storm?
