Setting: Genkyo private training grounds located slightly outside the village boundary. More information to be released. Even though considered private property it's generally open to public, there's no guards, boundaries or gates. Essentially open fields, cleared for farmland and some forestry.

Drawback: This does not include Grappling.
Description: Another prerequisite technique that brings the Marksman even closer to combat without fumbling or worry of using the weapon. Normally without this technique there is a chance that the user could miss and hit someone else whom is engaged in melee combat to whomever the user wishes to attack. This technique makes the user proficient in hitting the target even if the target is engaged in close combat with someone else.
Limit: Must be a Marksman. Must know Point Blank Shot.

“Again! Focus! Move!”

Hanako had been training since the early hours of the morning without pause, trying to get as much training in as possible before the unbearable summer heat made training both impractical and dangerous. A thick layer of sweat had already built up around her forehead, huffing and puffing she continued to move around the training area while her trainer berated her continuously urging her to continue. His voice was growing horse from the yelling and despite her hands beginning to blister it was the muscle pain at this point that was becoming too much to bear. Drawing the bow string back to her cheek despite her back muscles screaming she focussed in on the target and released the knocked arrow. A soft thud reverberated out of the moving target that her trainer was jostling around back and forth, simulating two people engaged in melee combat. They were mannequins with soft circular targets on them, bolted in a cart and had some moving parts which were operated with levers.

“Good! You’ve got it, remember that feeling! Now again! Just like a forest path that you venture down it can veer off into any direction. Focus on your journey not the destination.”

Supressing the desire to roll her eyes she once again started her shooting procedure. Removing the final arrow from her quiver she rested it on the bow’s arrow rest, focussing in on her target she cleared her field of vision and zeroed in on her target. Don’t hit the other target, don’t hit the other target, repeated over and over in her mind. Once again for what felt like the millionth time today she drew back the bow string to full draw, moving back and forth with the target and released., thud! On target but off centre, not accurate enough to be useful in combat not quite yet. Surveying over the target area she had arrows scattered around the field as well as buried into either side of the target, both in the friendly target and the enemy. At first it was a lot easier to hit her target but as the hours dragged on and the muscle fatigue set in, progressively got harder to shoot with accuracy. That was to be expected, part of this was developing the physical stamina to operate at the highest levels for hours on end but the mental fatigue and frustration was beginning to set in.

Any time Hanako would try speed up the rate of release her accuracy would plummet adding to the vicious cycle of frustration and disappointment. Every arrow buried either in the wrong target or too far off target was a risk to her allies. If you can’t hit the correct target then you’re no use as a marksman. Hanako was a huntress she took pride in her innate ability to hit her quarry.

“Okay, one last round, remember the basics of breathing, smooth long and powerful draws. You have released enough arrows today, you have the feeling. Your goal is to beat 6!”

Filling her quiver with a fresh bundle of training arrows Hanako took her stance and then nodded at her trainer who then began to rock cart back and forth. At first all he did was move it back and forth in a consistent manner. Drawing the string back she traced the movement of the cart and let loose, the arrow struck true. This was repeated for several more shots, progressively getting faster. After five successful hits, the mannequins began pivoting on the Y axis, simulating not only moving along the X axis in the normal to and fro but also simulating attacks at one another. These next 5 attempts were less successful managing to exceed the expectations she was on target for 3 out of the 5! Her arms felt like jelly and her back felt swollen and stiff the blood rushing into it preventing her from moving correctly.

Walking over to Hanako her trainer handed her a towel. “Very good! You’re improving a lot, you still need to work on some minor things but this conditioning exercises will really aid you in the long run. Even experienced marksmen suffer accuracy penalties due to fatigue what's important is that you keep the volume of practice up. Even as you focus on moving shots, jumping shots and other more elaborate shooting you're ability to perform a precision shot will be maintained and improved on.” nodding they walked around the training area recovering the arrows. Over the next few minutes he continued to give her pointers and feedback over areas she needed to improve upon.
