Event
Name: A Trail of Hardship and Hope
Rank: A
Plot: In the Land of Sound, a small village has recently come under hard times. A drought has stricken the area which has caused the failure of most of the crops, yet no merchant has come to sell the village food. Wild animals avoid the area like the plague so very little game has been brought back to the village. A few of the villagers who left to seek help from nearby villages have never came back, causing the remaining villagers to huddle in their houses at night in fear. In the village chief’s house a decision has been made, one that will affect the entire village’s people.
In the forest around the village, a group of rough men gather around a tall, imposing figure. With a deep, commanding voice the man holds the attention of the group as he explains his plans for the village for them. The village, the towering man says, falls at sunset and the prisoners they will get will sale for much on the slave market. Unknownst to all in the gathering, a solitary figure watches this unfold with glaring eyes in the trees above. After the meeting concluded the only clue of it being watched was a few fallen leaves which were ignored by them all.
In the dead of night the group of rough men, bandits of common origins, came upon the village with weapons drawn and torches lit. All they found awaiting them was abandoned houses and empty beds. The villagers were gone hours before bandits had arrived and had made much headway on the trail. They had been forewarned of the attack incoming and chose to flee from the bandits.
That morning the villagers’ caravan reached another hub of civilization: a small town that had a minor shinobi presence. Messengers were sent out, funds were pooled, the will of the villagers harden. The message was short and simple: please help us relocate to a new location and protect us along the way.

NPCs:
Tonkar, Bandit Chief
A-rank
Chaotic Evil Alignment
Taijutsu Master
Description: A cruel and cunning man who has worked his way up the ranks of his bandit group with bloodthirsty efficiency. He values material wealth the most and is always looking to get a big score no matter the method. He is known to be as cruel to his men as he is to his victims if the opportunity suits him, holding the loyalty of his crew through pure strength and fear. Despite this, he is quite dogged in his pursuit of the villagers.
Jerald, Bandit Captain
B-rank
Neutral Evil Alignment
Taijutsu Specialist
Description: A more thoughtful man than his current leader, Jerald has been in the bandit business for decades and has thrived in it thanks to his smarts. He cares more for his men than the usual bandit leader and the bandits under him have in turn become quite loyal to Jerald. He is strong enough to give even Tonkar pause in his cruelty and routinely saves his men from the boss, though he tends to leave victims to Tonkar’s tender mercy. Has become quite disillusioned with Tonkar after the near obsessive pursuit of the villagers with nothing to show for it.
Common Bandit
C-rank
Neutral Evil Alignment
Taijutsu Specialist
Description: Your run of the mill bandit. Cares about wealth, power, and pleasure but not much else. Thinks rashly and usually only cares about themselves. This particular group follows Tonkar out of fear, but will listen to Jerald orders with respect. Not strong as individuals but they tend to travel in groups.
Herimand, Village Chief
