The Exchange Program [training, private, x2]

Today, Takeshi would be meeting a Snow Chunin. He had received orders to meet her as a part of a training exchange program. It wasn't exactly a mission per say, but it was intended to further the positive diplomatic relations between the nations. 

He was waiting on a road towards the village gates themselves. Apparently the girl that he was meeting was simply named "Juniper". Takeshi found it odd that she didn't seem to have a surname. Maybe it was a Snow ninja thing and they all had cool codenames. He had no previous experience with foreigners to compare it to. 

The young Genin didn't really have any information about her to go off of, but he was excited nonetheless. He knew of a fairly empty field nearby that could be good for more secluded training, outside of a forest. Naturally, he was hoping to work on some Taijutsu. Some strength and conditioning, as well as a few technical aspects. 

Takeshi kept his eyes open for anyone who looked particularly Snowy. In his mind, he imagined they might be pale.

The extravagant items were left at home. Dressed down in her tattered dress and cloak the blue skinned little terror of Snow found her way to Stone on her own. A measly 4'7 her head was all the way back to met this partner of hers. Everyone was tall in her world... Not extending her hand over anything she removed 8 senbon from her cloak and dropped them point first into the dirt.

"Juniper." She made a rapping motion on her chest with a little fist and leaned at the waist to pluck her senbon out of the dirt. From there? She didn't move much. She hung bent over, head down, arms dangling, the long tresses of her shock white hair sweeping the ground in front of her but she was no stranger to twigs and dirt. Not afraid of breaking nails and cracking teeth. Gravity pulled at her a little, feet shuffling, her balance off... the new position of her head turning the world upside down. But even then?

She was aware.

"Spar now." Like a child playing dead she stood still and played her part in their show. Tiny, cute and slightly socially inept.

Takeshi blinked. He examined the frail looking little thing with much confusion. It seemed like every time he left the house he was encountering more and more interesting ninja. "Okay then. Nice to meet you Juniper, I'm Takeshi..."

As she took her odd stance, Takeshi couldn't help but gulp. Ever since he was little he had been developing a sense for sizing up people, to get a rough idea for how powerful they were. He had come to the conclusion that he would easily be able to defeat most fully grown men, as well as the majority of his Academy class. But more and more lately, he found himself completely incapable of being able to measure the skill of other shinobi he encountered.

Her blue skin, ragged appearance, and odd behavior all culminated in a bit of stiffness to his movements. He took up his Crab Guard boxing stance, and gulped. Hair stood on the end of his neck, and goosebumps crawled along his arms. "Here I come!"

Unable to rid himself of the tension, the usually brash Takeshi decided to test the waters by stepping forward and throwing three jabs aimed at the odd positioning of her head.

Description: Range of this technique is Web Spinning. Duration of this technique is 50 minutes per Class Level. Effect is 8 meter radius spread. This Jutsu functions as a Web Spinning, except as follows. The sticky strands composing the mass are much more numerous, thinner, and as strong as steel. They cut into the flesh of those moving through the web like knives. A creature grappled by the sticky strands of a cutting web suffers 15 Armour Points of slashing damage per Class Level. Creatures moving through the affected area by using TaiJutsu techniques also suffer this damage. A creature using the Escape Artist skill to get free only suffers damage if the attempt fails by 25 or more. A cutting web can only be burned away by Chakra fire.

Akumu flew over the rocky, craggy landscape until he saw a forested area bordered by an empty field further on. He could spot it from a distance with his keen vision and soaring height in the sky, casting a wide shadow over the ground as he moved in closer to see what was out here and let out an awful screech. The sound seemed to echo off the rocky landscape and would be heard quite clearly by the two people in the field. Eventually he could make them out. Normally Akumu wouldn't have stopped to interact with humans of all creatures, but one of them had blue skin and a horn in the middle of her head which intrigued him. He started to bank his wings and head in their direction while continuously chewing at a webbing technique within his jaws.

It looked almost strange for the massive, flying snake to be chewing on something like bubblegum -- but he was developing a new technique for his webs that he had never used before. The chakra and saliva within his mouth quickly started to fuse together and make the webs, but this time there were minute traces of chakra that floated around his mouth and chipped away at the sides of the webbing. It was a difficult procedure, but with his fine chakra control Akumu found that the task was not outside of his abilities. The webs got sharper and sharper the longer he chewed on them and he rapidly approached the two beings. Some saliva drippled from his chin and landed on the ground with a soft, hissing sound as if it was burning.

Akumu flew overhead and he cast the both of them in his shadow. Then he banked and flew around to land close by in the field (15 meters away) -- stretching out his bat-like wings to their full 45 ft. span in a demonstration of strength. Horns stood out prominently on his head. His golden eyes locked with the blue-skinned girl -- attempting to figure her out. There was another one there, a boy it seemed, but Akumu was not particularly interested at the moment. The two seemed like they were about to start fighting. Akumu hadn't brought any weapons or gear on his journey, but chewed away at the webs inside of his mouth and made sure the chakra was still doing its job sharpening them like blades. Akumu hissed and flicked his tongue, choosing not to say anything. He found people often incapable of anything other than their crude, common speech.

Now the action was on them. Knees bent, eyes focused, she could feel his footsteps on the ground and it told her where he was at every step of the charge. What to expect beyond punches? No idea and that was what got the adrenaline rushing. When he stepped in she stepped in as well, ducking low, crouching right into a roll across the ground to slip under his in-step and spring up behind him in a vaulted spring for the surprise.

What met her on the otherside was the drip of acid on the ground, a fat gob landing and sizzling so close to her face she could smell the putrid gurgle of fizzling dirt burning it's way to the core of the planet it felt like. The attack had to pause Instead he was back to the ground, throwing herself backwards into a roll to only 'maybe' catch Takeshi off guard- having given pause long enough for him to see she wasn't there to take his punches but couldn't deliver a clean strike back.

A screech in the distance initiated the brief skirmish. It wasn't like anything he had heard before, but there was a more immediate problem in front of him.

Takeshi was thrown off balance by the quickness of her movements as she rolled past him. He tried to spin around as quickly as he could in order to get a lock on her. He whipped his guard around, just in time to see that some strange glob of liquid had occupied the space between them.

Initially, he thought it was some technique or trap of hers, failing to see that it was what saved him from a quick counterattack. He lightly hopped backwards, still holding his guard. If she was capable of rolling under his straight punches, he thought that next time he should move in with uppercuts. He clenched his fists, still full of tension. However, suddenly, the wind overhead threw him slightly off balance.

A great shadow passed over him as he tried to hold his footing, and when he looked up, he fell completely on his rear.

Takeshi had been afraid before in his life. The abuse from his dad, intense bouts of sparring with his much stronger grandfather, and not wanting to fail in front of his classmates. But these frames of reference were blown away under the force of the flapping of this creature's wings. The memories of experience were wiped clean from his mind, and for a brief moment, Takeshi became a frightened young child again.

The monster landed, and it's colossal wings stretched as it hissed and chewed on something unknown to him. His ability to size people up was involuntarily applied to this new force. He could imagine the strength, the sheer amount of mass that was in front of him. His body began to tremble. He wondered if his punch would amount to anything against it's hide.

He scrambled back to his feet, the shaking subsiding as he took a deep breath. They weren't that far off from the village itself. He clenched his muscles as hard as he could, but the shock of seeing the creature had somehow eased the tension in his body.

"Even though I'm terrified right now, if I had to hit it, as absolutely hard as I could...How would I do it?"

Takeshi gritted his teeth. "W-Well, looks like we've got company. Don't suppose you've ever seen anything like that before, huh Juniper?"

The adrenaline rushing through him began to fully overpower the fear. If it made a wrong move, he would very well leap in to strike with 110%. Of course, he had no way of knowing that this creature had no truly malicious intent. He had simply been intimidated out of his wits.

The humans stared at him, dumbfounded. Like usual neither of them said anything to him or expressed any positive regards. Akumu chewed the web and made it as sharp as possible, but through his chewing would make some odd, deep grunts in draconic. "Humans... are... all the same." All of a sudden the flesh on the sides of his body, underneath his wings where shoulders would have been, began to bubble and grow longer. The already terrifying looking creature seemed to become even more nightmarish as its skin began to crawl and respond to some unknown mental cue. Suddenly there was a sharp pain from inside his mouth where he had been chewing on the webs, and spit out a glob of disfigured white goo on to the ground that quickly seeped into the dirt and disappeared.

Avoiding hurting himself from the Cutting Web this time, Akumu started to secrete a layer of chakra from within his mouth so that nothing he produced would be able to hurt him. The chakra wrapped from the roof of his mouth to the back of his throat, a defense he had learned quite well during his exploration of fire. More webs started to come out of his saliva and the chakra pooling up from his chest, merging until the two of them were a mass of strong, steel-like wires. Then the layer of chakra around his mouth began to compress and move inward, grinding away at the webs until they were even thinner.

His eyes would shift over the two, infused with chakra and looking into their networks. Akumu tried to discern whether the blue-skinned girl or the wild-haired boy had any hostility toward one another or himself. He continued to monitor them to make sure that they didn't become aggressive and if they did, well, he was prepared to change the structure of his webs in a heart-beat. He briefly wondered if either one of them would be able to pick up on his statement, but quickly pushed the thought out of his mind -- no humans spoke draconic. "Foul creatures," he'd say as well, as if emphasizing the point. The webs in his jaw became sharper, but with the layer of chakra protecting his mouth they did not cut into his soft flesh this time and became like the blade of a sword.

There was a new arrival and it's presence only strengthened her preservation instinct. Now things were getting interesting to say the least. When it spit the wad of web out she crouched down onto all fours and took a single step backwards on her heel. There was a voice in her head that spoke to her in her whispers. This was not a time to attack and be attacked this was the time to defend.

Analyze the opponent. Make sense of the new arrival and if they were a threat to her health. When the wad of goop disappeared her nerves screamed to be on full alert and she wasn't going to stop listening to her instincts now. Draconic fell otu of this things mouth and Juniper set her lips in defiance. "Nurh lexri re xkhatir di wux" Ugly is coming of you, she muttered under her breath but definitely loud enough to be heard.

Every step she took she pulled her arms in close and stayed ready to spring into action, her brows set high and her eyes trained forward. Whatever this thing had to say it could say it to her directly. No need to mince words. "We spare." She motioned to herself then Takeshi, feeling herself drawing on the coil of her muscles to dodge should anything unbecoming happen. "We--" then Takeshi was off lobbing punches and she sighed.

Though he wasn't looking at Juniper, he heard her words. She seemed to want to avoid conflict with the great beast. He was jacked up on the adrenaline coursing through his body. The fear he felt kept getting duller as he watched the dragon-like creature. "I'll be honest, Juniper, I'm shaking in my boots right now. One swipe a' this thing's teeth or claws, and I think I'd get torn in half."

He started to take slow steps forward. "But, I gotta say. I don't like the way it's looking at me!"

Takeshi rushed forward, directly at the apparent monster. He had let go of his inhibition, and chose to believe in the strength of his punches fully. Maybe it was like a wild animal, and he just had to make himself looked bigger than he actually was. He stopped about ten feet away, and waved his arms at the huge creature. He even jumped up and down.

If it chose to lunge at him, he was sure he could jump out of the way. Then Juniper might be able to do something while it was distracted by him. It wasn't a very well thought out plan, but Takeshi felt he had to do something in this situation. "If you don't leave, I'm gonna punch you!!"

He slammed the metal studs of his gauntlets together, before throwing his arms up into the air and yelling.

Of course, if the creature didn't attack him, he would look quite silly. He was poised to unleash his strongest punches, regardless. He didn't know what the vitals of a creature like this would be, exactly, so he would simply have to assault it with every last reserve if it came to that.

Just as the blue-skinned girl proved that she could speak draconic, muttering an insult at him under her breath, Akumu finished growing two, scaly hands from beneath his wings. He looked at her with menace, about to retaliate when she indicated something with her hands -- pointing first to herself then the boy. He noted that he couldn't detect any hostility from them, so he assumed that they were about to spar. Just then the boy ran up to him, although still showing no true hostility through his chakra network, and waved his arms about and jumping up and down. This is what she meant by a sparring session? Akumu almost looked disappointed. Suddenly the webbing that he had continued chewing was spit out, but not as the Cutting Web like his training before. This time it was a simple Web Net directed at the jumping boy. Just something to keep him on his toes.

Immediately after shooting out his net, Akumu would slam his hands on the ground and raise his jaws -- letting out an ear-piercing screech at the girl who had insulted him. His mouth would already be excreting saliva and chakra that were mixing together inside his maw which (which she could easily tell as he opened his mouth). He started to prepare another attack in case the girl tried to come at him, knowing that now it may be an open match between the three of them. However, if she didn't move to attack then neither would he. Akumu still didn't entirely understand what was going on here, but was interested that this strange girl seemed to be able to speak draconic.

Akumu would be focusing on his training either way. As he had switched to his mouth for the offensive, in Akumu's right hand he began to sweat. He rubbed his fingers back and forth, chakra mixing between them, and creating a small strand of webbing that he was trying to sharpen with his chakra. Like with his mouth he created a layer of protection around his hands, so that they wouldn't cut him, and started to grind down the side of the webs as much as possible to make them like blades. But he never wavered from his main focus and knew that, even if he had to form handseals, that he could wait on his training. But the Cutting Web would continue to float around his fingertips and grew stronger with each moment that he rubbed his fingers over the fine wires. It was a trick, as well, to center his mind in the midst of combat and await their reaction.

This Jutsu creates a net of thick and sticky filaments that projects from their hand or mouth and envelops a creature of up to 1 size larger than the user. This is considered a range touch attack. A web net that misses collapses in on itself and disappears. An enveloped creature gains the entangled condition. User can choose to have the web net be connected to their hand or mouth by a line of webbing up to the maximum range of the Jutsu in length. This line has hardness 5, Armour Points equal to 10 per Class Level, and a Break Check of 23 (This check is to pull the user). The user can control this trailing strand by succeeding at an opposed Break check, which forces the entangled creature to move only within the limits that the line allows. Escaping a web net requires an Escape Artist check or a Break check as a weaving movement. The Difficulty of this check is equal to the Difficulty of the Jutsu. Any amount of fire damage severs the trailing strand but the fire does not spread to the net.

Not quite sure how things had progressed to this precise moment, Juniper watched the boy get fired upon and was already running ahead full speed towards this new individual. He seemed hostile to start and poor Takeshi.. she danced on her toes the whole way, a leaping rabbit low to the ground. Jutting and flashing her way towards the creature she was ready for a blast of that weird concoction.

Presuming he was going to fire was all timing. She was light as a feather on her toes and ready to feint him in the middle of his attack, bouncing like a spring. The fake-out was for when he spit that first web and was turning to aim her way, her head down jumping forward but cutting the right behind poor Takeshi at the last minute to use him as her shield and stealth behind him.

Takeshi's eyes went wide as the dragon hocked some sort of loogy at him. It quickly unfurled into a net of webbing. At once, the fear and panic that was driving him caused another peculiar reaction.

It was a sensation that he had felt many times in his life, that always seemed to manifest in critical situations like this. All at once, he had realized what it was that had been bothering him about the beast. It wasn't that he was afraid of it attacking him, but rather, he was afraid that it hadn't yet.

His lips curled into a twisted smile as the shadow of the webbing fell upon him. At once, he suddenly flashed to the left, just as Juniper was cutting to his right. The webbing flew between them both. After about 10 feet of travel, he used the remaining distance of his Dash to pivot at a sharp angle, and send himself flying at the dragon.

All of this occurred in an instant. His Shunshin stopped directly in front of it's huge claws.

Takeshi knelt down, bracing himself after the high speed movement of his Dash. The thing was rubbing it's fingers in an odd fashion, and Juniper was coming from the other angle on the right. These next few seconds would be critical to finding an opening. Would it go for him, or the fast approaching Juniper?

The Stone Genin's hands were tightly clenched into fists.

It seemed as if the humans were a bit more fun than he thought. After he shot his web, the blue-skinned girl ran forward in a dash -- and the boy suddenly disappeared and came straight for him with his fist. He's either really brave or really dumb. Akumu stuck to his plan and fired off his attack toward Juniper. But it wasn't webbing, like she might have thought, but an invisible, sound attack escaped Akumu's jaws emitted from his dull roar. Akumu hoped that she wouldn't even be able to see the attack as it hit within full-range.

As for the boy, Akumu simply slipped up his left arm to block the boy as he attempted to go in for his hit -- at the same second he was firing off his attack at Junper. Yes, Akumu knew, it was leaving himself a bit open but he was interested to see what this ninja could do. The arm wouldn't stop the damage, but it would stop the boy from getting a more severe hit on a more vulnerable position. And he trusted in his defenses. Meanwhile, his right hand was still forming the Cutting Web technique between his fingers as he fought. He continued to allow chakra to pool into his hand and sharpen the ends of his webbing.

After his Ultra Sound Vibration and taking the hit from the boy, Akumu would swivel around with his head to look at the frazzle-haired youth with wide, golden snake eyes. He'd find a set of giant teeth suddenly coming down upon him, acidic saliva dripping from the largest fangs, as Akumu reached forward with his maw to bite at him. It wasn't a sincere attack, but just a means of pushing him back. Akumu didn't like people so close.

Drawback: Cannot be used more than twice during battle, due to this jutsu having a minor effect on the user (who suffers a mild pain). If the user uses this technique more then twice, he/she may fall victim to this jutsu.
Description: The user send a powerful and high pitched noise directly at an opponent. The user may use their vocal cords or weapon to emit the sound, which is launched at a 60 degree radius. The sound waves do not target hearing, but rather an opponent bone structure. The sound waves hits the solid bones and bounces off of them, causing them to vibrate. This vibration is extremely painful to the opponent, can tamper with an opponent's actions. The opponent can still move and hear, but attacks and movements are severely hindered (C- rank=3 post, B-Rank=6 posts). The duration of the jutsu depends on the distance from the user that the target is, decreasing by one third with every increment of one third. [ex: Someone 5 meters away from the C version get the full effect, but someone 15 meters away gets hit by the effect for only 2 posts] C-Ranks reaches a maximum of 30 meters, B-Ranks reaches a Maximum of 60 meters.

Wasn't entirely sure of what was being fired off but when it touched her it hurt. A mild annoyance for sure but then? Gone. Into the shadow of Takeshi and she reached into her bag of tricks to really show him who they were messing with. With them close enough for the wild rookie Takeshi to throw punches Juniper extended her chakra outward and forced all living creatures within 20 meters of her to immediately seal their mouths closed for as long as she held this seal and she held it tight.

"Choke on it." She snarled as she made herself known now. Takeshi was going to have to suffer her curse too but? Small price. No more web spitting for this one. The curse that ran in her blood was powerful and she enacted it with absolute vengeance. Whatever that spider thing had hit her with she was going to triple it and then some.

Description: As the Jutsu Spell Webbing within the following Exceptions: Duration 10 rounds per Class Level. In addition to creating a mass of gluey fibers, the Queen's Web inspires Ōgumo nearby as well as inflicts a poison like effect on those creatures unlucky enough to touch it. All Ōgumo within line of sight of the web are granted a +1 morale bonus per Class Level to Saves and Attack Damage by its subtly shifting light patterns. The Queen's Web also bears a contact poison like effect that affects any creature within the web's area of effect. The effect inflicts 1d6 Agility Damage in initial damage and 2d6 Agility Damage in secondary damage unless the Fortitude Save is made. This save is Fortitude based.

As he went as if to take a bite out of the boy, suddenly some strange ability would clamp tight over his jaws and keep them from opening up. He tried to let out a dull roar, that fell on deaf ears, as his neck thrashed back and forth against the entanglement. However, fortunately for him, his Cutting Web technique had just finished forming in his right hand. Still on guard with the boy to his left, Akumu threw his right wrist in the girl's direction. Humans are all alike. Why'd you have to go for my maw? But the web, sharper than a blade, was headed to cover a 16 meter area around the girl -- a fitting punishment for the curse that she'd left on him -- as he moved back.

As he made the cutting web, Akumu had taken notice of a bit of darker chakra that seemed to linger in the palm of his hand. He couldn't tell but it almost seemed like tiny drops of poison that his chakra had produced in combination with his sweat and chakra. Knowing that this could be the beginning of a useful technique, he kept it in mind.

Akumu swerved to get away from the boy after this, moving to the left and further away from the blue-skinned girl -- coming to a stand still at about 20 meters away. A few meters from the boy. He would attempt to form a set of handseals in order to thrown another attack in her direction, this time built out of his chakra as it mixed with the wind, and formed five air bullets that would soar toward her, all five of them focused on the girl. Then, although his mouth was sealed shut, Akumu would be using it as an opportunity to run even more chakra into his salive glands and begin mastering new types of webs. He remembered the poison that he had sensed so close to his chakra network just before.

The webs that filled his mouth seemed to be filled with a particularly nasty type of chakra. The more that he secreted, the more of the dark, poison Akumu was beginning to be able to generate within his jawline. He could feel that these webs were unlike any he had created before and filled with a unique type of property.

Description: Range of this technique is Web Spinning. Duration of this technique is 50 minutes per Class Level. Effect is 8 meter radius spread. This Jutsu functions as a Web Spinning, except as follows. The sticky strands composing the mass are much more numerous, thinner, and as strong as steel. They cut into the flesh of those moving through the web like knives. A creature grappled by the sticky strands of a cutting web suffers 15 Armour Points of slashing damage per Class Level. Creatures moving through the affected area by using TaiJutsu techniques also suffer this damage. A creature using the Escape Artist skill to get free only suffers damage if the attempt fails by 25 or more. A cutting web can only be burned away by Chakra fire.

The bullets also have great power, enough to subdue a whole group of targets. At "D" Class the user may release 3 Air Bullets. The amount of Air Bullets increases by 2 per Class Level. Each Air Bullet deals 4 + 1 Armour Point of Piercing Damage per Class Level.
