I, Kurama, am in the middle of a harsh exercise routine. Perhaps that seems odd, given that I'm the bearer of a fragment of Divine Authority, and that I'm a dedicated practitioner of Magecraft leaving little in the way of time or incentive for physical labor, but it was true. Shinwa was in many ways a naturally occurring deadly obstacle course, and just living here meant risking your life. Not all threats could be handled purely with magecraft either.
That's why I needed to exercise once in a while. To make sure I had the physical ability to fight, flee, or otherwise avoid problems in the event my usual methods were ineffective. And by exercise, of course I mean "run said obstacle course at top speed".
Given how slow and ungainly I was on only two legs, I was in my true form, that of a large fox with two tails, standing roughly eight feet from shoulder to claw. My silvery fur was literally glowing as though a miniature sun. For some creatures, this would drive them away. For others, it would attract them. It shouldn't matter either way if I was fast enough.
However, I did think that perhaps the delicacy of my movements could use some work. While it was all relatively minor, I was starting to accumulate quite the collection of cuts and scrapes. My natural healing factor would handle it before too long, but that was extra energy spent that I would rather not if I could help it.
