The road ahead of them was empty. The male could not see or hear anything suspicious. So far, so good. "I read from your file that you're from Mo. How do you find your new home so far?" inquired the falcon agent.

His voice was curious with a friendly tone to it. It was not every day he got a non-masked partner. Furthermore, this person was not even fulgurian*. Knowing more about his partner would be a huge aid as well. They were working as a team after all.

This takes 30 minutes to create. This creates 1 thumb-vial of "Military Rations Pill". Military Rations Pills are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. The user gains 10 temporary Armour Points per crafter's alchemy mastery. User also restores 1/3rd of their chakra (honor based) for 24 hours. For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. If the character becomes fatigued, the penalties still apply normally, but the user can run nor do they do not become exhausted. User also gain a +4 alchemical bonus to Toughness and a Damage Reduction 1/— per alchemy mastery). User can no longer feel Pain effects. Pain effects do not affect the target until the duration of the effects. This does not negate any physical damage, ability damage, that a pain effect has already done, but it does negate ongoing penalties from pain while the effects last. When applied, the inflatable lining pushes out in differing strengths and sensitivities are applied from different directions, surrounding the damaged arteries and compressing selected cell walls without affecting surrounding tissues. Yis glanced up at the early afternoon sky. Though most hated the dark rain clouds, he rather enjoyed the damp air and the way it felt against his new skin. “Is our attire fine? We rather stand out.” He said, while fondling the Cloud headband tied around his neck to draw attention towards it. One glance at the duo, and the target would likely flee with as much haste as he could muster. “Hmm…” He pondered, while glancing up at the rain clouds once again after the captain had asked his question. “Kumo is warmer… And kinder than Mo. A true home.” He said vaguely, while the corners of his lips faintly curved into a slight smile.

“What about yourself? How do you find this home of yours?” Yis asked with a clear hint of curiosity in his tone. Joining the ANBU wasn’t like joining the police. Both protected and served the village. However, joining the ANBU ranks seemed to come with a death sentence. Most seemed to die on the field of duty. Rarely, did one reach a ripe enough age to retire. Of course, if any of the village elders were retired ANBU, none had admitted to it. He suspected that retirement came with a vow of silence. “What made you join the division?” He asked abruptly. As a Kedoin with an elongated lifespan and latent regenerative abilities, he had far less to lose in joining the ANBU. In contrast, there seemed to be far more mundane individuals than himself joining far riskier divisions. What was their reason? A pursuit for knowledge? Power? A desire to protect? Yis suddenly began to wonder if he was worthy of the mantle.

Description: The user interprets sound waves emitted by opponent. By understand the sound waves created by walking, breathing, heartbeat, etc. The user is able to gauge their enemy’s bodily specification, such as their height, weight, muscle mass, etc. until they have literally gathered an extremely accurate ‘picture’ of the person with sound. This also allows them to sense fluctuations within breathing, heart rate, pulse which can help the bard know how tired or ill a specific person is. This is extremely useful in gathering information on opponents before ever encountering them. This jutsu can also be used to retrieve information on multiple opponents as well, when first learned they can discern the information of ten opponents, this can be retrained for an additional ten people each time with the maximum of one hundred. Each time this skill is learned it also gives a 3% chance of discerning if an opponent is telling a lie, with a maximum of thirty percent.

"We're going to change clothes when we reach our checkpoint. It's an izakaya straight ahead. Our village are co-owners with the family who runs it" assured the man.

"Kumo is warmer...And kinder than Mo. A true home. What about yourself? How do you find this home of yours? What made you join the division?" inquired Yis.

"I am glad to hear you enjoy Kumogakure no Sato. As for the division...I can't go too much into detail. Let's just say that my best friend died too early. The person was a notorious criminal. One of the falcons got rid of them" told the ANBU captain.

"I joined the ANBU for the same reason as many others. To protect and stop criminals. We should be at the izakaya soon" told the man. There was little urbanization in this area. There were only a few farms scattered around them.

[Skulking Shinzu]

“That’s handy.” Being an independent village, Yis was used to being left completely alone the moment he exited Mo’s walls. Much to his surprise, Cloud seemed to function much differently. Even after having exited the village, there seemed to be plenty of resources in the wider country that he could make use of. This seemed to be one of the many benefits that only Shinobi villages had the privilege of making use of.

“I’m sorry to hear that…” Yis paused the moment the conversation took a darker turn. The captain’s words didn’t fully add up here. After having killed his best friend, it seemed as if he would have had every reason in the world to loathe and hate the division responsible for the murder. The fact that the ANBU agent had climbed all the way to captain rank seemed to go against that too – which left only one possibility. “Did you also join to clean up the division and ensure everyone abided by the rules?”

Regardless of whether the captain was willing to reveal that piece of information or not, Yis’ crimson eyes scanned the grassy landscape before shifting to focus on the café the captain had pointed out. The sight of it made Yis smile. For a long time, he had been planning on opening a café of his own in Cloud. He just needed the perfect name for it. Perhaps - Nimbus Brew. “Good afternoon.” Yis said politely once greeted upon entering the café. Assuming the mention of ‘grasshopper green tea’ was some sort of code word, the former Kedoin ensured to make a note of it while trailing behind the ANBU captain.

“The scroll?” He noted, as some sort of trigger mechanism forced a hidden wall open. As per the captain’s instructions, Yis remained outside. However, rather curious, he triggered his newly obtained Byakugan – the activation of which would remain hidden due to the layer of Genjutsu obstructing his true features. Granted X-Ray vision, the former Kedoin’s gaze pierced through the wall as he attempted to observe the captain’s actions from the other side. Though there was no need to keep tabs on him, Yis’ paranoid nature couldn’t help but want to confirm that there were no traps within the hidden room. After all, it was impossible to know if the target had any knowledge of this café and the hidden room. The captain had revealed quite a lot about it in the short few seconds that Yis had stepped into the café. This only made him more confident in assuming that plenty of other Cloud Shinobi could know about this room.

Description: When concentrating to See Through Chakra, the character can also spend time equal to Handseals to gain the ability to see through objects with X-ray like vision up to 10 meters from the user. This does not impede the user's line of sight and the distance a user can normally see, however they simply will not be able to use the X-ray ability beyond 10 meters. When the user first learns this technique the user trains it as a regular "C" Rank Jutsu. Each additional training allows the user to use the X-Ray ability for an additional 10 meters. For every 50 meters the user trains an additional +10 Training Points added to their previous training. Description: The user interprets sound waves emitted by opponent. By understand the sound waves created by walking, breathing, heartbeat, etc. The user is able to gauge their enemy’s bodily specification, such as their height, weight, muscle mass, etc. until they have literally gathered an extremely accurate ‘picture’ of the person with sound. This also allows them to sense fluctuations within breathing, heart rate, pulse which can help the bard know how tired or ill a specific person is. This is extremely useful in gathering information on opponents before ever encountering them. This jutsu can also be used to retrieve information on multiple opponents as well, when first learned they can discern the information of ten opponents, this can be retrained for an additional ten people each time with the maximum of one hundred. Each time this skill is learned it also gives a 3% chance of discerning if an opponent is telling a lie, with a maximum of thirty percent.

"Your turn to go in. I take it you're going to use a henge or a disguise. Oh, I confused you a bit earlier. I meant to say that a notorious criminal was the - ahem - reaper" corrected the man. He stepped aside so the other male could enter the room.

The room itself was the same size as a large broom closet. Opposite of the entrance was a simplistic vanity. The shinobi would pour himself a cup of tea while he waited for his companion. The mask plus his cloak were stashed in his backpacker. His jacket and trousers hid the armour quite well.

Description: A piece of armour that protects multiple parts of the body. The breastplate, as the name implies, this plate protects the upper chest area. The plackart is an armoured reinforcement covering the lower half of the breastplate. Depending on the design the plackart might cover nearly the entire breastplate. The fauld, armour usually composed of lames, which is attached to the breastplate which serves protection for the abdomen. Then finally the Tasset, solid armour plates or a skirt of lames hung from the fauld to cover the gap between the fauld and the thigh armour. Due to the size of Armour it will always have +50% more Armour Points of Special Material (Steel has 30 Armour Points; Steel Torso Armour Piece has 45 Armour Points). Armour Class: 6.

Description: Identification: Easy; Hardness: 15; Armour Points/Inch: 30; Armour Class: -4. Non Magnetic Material. An item made from Mithral weighs significantly less than the same item made from other metals. It is strong enough however, to not alter the weapon’s size category, or the ease with which it can be wielded.Mithral is a very rare silvery, glistening metal that is lighter than steel but just as hard. When worked like steel, it becomes a wonderful material from which to create armor, and is occasionally used for other items as well. Mithral armour reduces Armour Class by -4 per Armour Piece for the purposes of movement and other limitations. A character wearing full mithral armour will not suffer the same Armour Penalty Checks, Movement Loss, and Handseal loss as they normally would with steel arour. Items not primarily of metal are not meaningfully affected by being partially made of mithral. (A longsword can be a mithral weapon, while a quarterstaff cannot.) It is the purest form of silver; so primal and attuned to nature it is almost Chakra. Sylvan silver has the uncanny ability to catch the light of the moon and stars; if taken outdoors during the night, a sylvan silver item sheds a faint light in a 3-meter radius (treat as the light of a candle or torch). This light is extremely harmful to evil creatures; if wielded outdoors during the night, a sylvan silver weapon counts as good-aligned for the purposes of bypassing reduction while dealing +18 Armour Points of sacred damage. If a sylvan silver weapon is enhanced with an Enhancement Seal, it automatically becomes good-aligned, retaining this ability for the purposes of bypassing damage reduction at all times, even during the day or underground. In addition, the user gains a +2 alchemical bonus on Saves against fire effects during this time. Swallowing a blood-boiling pill while under the effects of a blood-chilling pill negates the effects of both pills.

Boil the 2 standard-shots of corpse skink meat through a filtration and apply all ingredients with the mulungu resin using a ceration. Allow the mulungu resin to harden. This takes 30 minutes to create. This creates 1 thumb-vial of "Military Rations Pill". Military Rations Pills are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. The user gains 10 temporary Armour Points per crafter's alchemy mastery. User also restores 1/3rd of their chakra (honor based) for 24 hours. For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. If the character becomes fatigued, the penalties still apply normally, but the user can run nor do they do not become exhausted. User also gain a +4 alchemical bonus to Toughness and a Damage Reduction 1/— per alchemy mastery). User can no longer feel Pain effects. Pain effects do not affect the target until the duration of the effects. This does not negate any physical damage, ability damage, that a pain effect has already done, but it does negate ongoing penalties from pain while the effects last. Once the effects fade, the user will be fatigued until they take a full rest (Fortitude save 15 for half). The effects of the soldier pill do not stack, and do not refresh the effects. The sap will harden and take on a dull-blue appearance. Eating more than 1 "Speedy Healing Herb" within a 5-hour period has no additional effects, and actually causes internal bleeding. Description: Explosives Tags are scraps of paper inscribed with a Glyph of Warding. Normally when they are infused with Chakra, they will explode after a set amount of time, remotely, or after being ignited by flame. The tags can be attached to a surface or wrapped around a weapon to be thrown at an opponent. They are very versatile and one of the basic tools. When an explosive tag is detonated remotely, a user tends to use the "Snake" handseal (Uses "E" Rank Chakra and Jutsu Handeals to perform). Similarly, when used remotely, explosive tags can be detonated in sequence, allowing them to be used to trap opponents. When Purchasing: Must designate the type of Explosive (Force, Fire, Cold, Sonic, Lightning, Acid, Negative, or Radiant). All Explosive Tags have a Glyph of Warding equal to Advanced Mastery in Warding Ritual Skill (Base Damage equals to 36 Armour Points of Damage). Description: Picture Anyone can apply a med-patch to stop blood loss and stabilize a patient. Little has to be said, however, about the greater risk of internal bleeding. The Gravitic Pressure Bandage helps prevent complications due to this type of injury. A Gravitic Pressure Bandage looks like a hollow, metal cylinder with an inflatable cloth lining. When applied, the inflatable lining pushes out in differing strengths and sensitivities are applied from different directions, surrounding the damaged arteries and compressing selected cell walls without affecting surrounding tissues. Once in place, the patient can be moved carefully. This device is placed on a limb. An Easy First Aid: Healing roll is required for proper placement and will allow Wounded patients to act as if unwounded or Incapacitated patients to act as Wounded (The injury is still there, but the patient will be able to move and so forth).

Yis scratched the back of his head in embarrassment. He had assumed that the captain’s friend was the criminal – when in fact, it was the criminal that had murdered his friend. “I see. So, you idolised the Division that avenged your friend’s memory.” It still seemed like a purer reason than his own. “One moment.” Having confirmed there were no traps in the room with his Byakugan, Yis dismissed the ability and entered. Undoing his Genjutsu, the flayed portions of his skin faded away to reveal pristine, unblemished white skin, while his hair elongated into long silver strands.

Losing the ability to shapeshift was a problem. However, other than the Raikage and a single ANBU operative, no one knew of Zuruel’s new default elven form. Though not a disguise, in a way, shifting back to his original form was the perfect disguise. Shoving around his hair, Zuruel moved a mass of silver strands over each of his pointed ears to hide the tell-tale elven features. He then pulled the cloak around him tighter and sealed it all the way up to his neck, so that it hid the headband underneath. “How’s this?” He said, while revealing his pale and slender form that stood taller than Yis. Even his voice had changed from the preivous rough and deep tone, to the gentle elegance of a Bard tongue.

They are capable of further training their ability to hear to allow them to listen and precisely pinpoint the location a sound is coming from as long as it is within ten meters of themselves. They can continue to train their ability to pinpoint the location of a sound to increase the distance it can be pinpointed from by ten meters each time, capping off at fifty meters.

Zuruel scratched the back of his head while chuckling at the compliment. Even his mannerisms seemed different now. Grabbing the gestured seat, Zuruel pulled himself down in a rather soft and elegant manner, which contrasted Yis’ stiffness. Having been a Kedoin once, Zuruel was used to changing personalities and body language as easily as he shifted forms. It was just unfortunate that he had lost the ability to perform the latter. “So… We have him.” The former Kedoin studied the photo intently. Was it a trap? A act of misdirection? Even if it was, the duo had no other leads to follow.

After a short while, Zuruel’s focused shifted to the vital stats of the target. No matter how skilled of an actor he was, he wouldn’t be able to change his body shape and height. Even subtle features such as the curve of his jawline and position of his cheekbones would be enough for a Byakugan to identify him. “I have what I need. Now it’s just a matter of finding him. Shall we continue to Aramis?” He asked, while unsure if the captain had any further information to present. If there was any eagerness in Zuruel’s tone, that it was clear that it came from a place of fear that the target could flee to another town at the slightest whisper of an investigation against him.

For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. I can’t imagine he will be hiding out anywhere secretive and dingy. Especially not with his faith in his own acting and disguise skills. No doubt he will be staying somewhere with the higher echelon of society. A fancy hotel. A luxurious apartment.”

Zuruel paused to take in the captain’s reaction. Most would go into deep hiding after making an enemy of a Shinobi village. However, even if this man attempted to, somehow Zuruel just knew that the target couldn’t live without the luxuries and finer aspects of life that he had no doubt indulged in already during his time as a star. This takes 30 minutes to create. This creates 1 thumb-vial of "Military Rations Pill". Military Rations Pills are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. The user gains 10 temporary Armour Points per crafter's alchemy mastery. User also restores 1/3rd of their chakra (honor based) for 24 hours. For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. If the character becomes fatigued, the penalties still apply normally, but the user can run nor do they do not become exhausted. User also gain a +4 alchemical bonus to Toughness and a Damage Reduction 1/— per alchemy mastery). User can no longer feel Pain effects. Zuruel carefully took in the captain’s words. A love of the sword would suggest a personal fondness for a specific weapon that he likely would never separate himself from. However, the weapon would likely be disguised. Perhaps as a walking stick or umbrella. Even then, it wasn’t much to go by. There was nothing to suggest that the target valued any blades enough to fall in love with a signature weapon. Perhaps he threw swords aside as easily as mundane tools or lives. Even if that wasn’t the case, he could easily hide a weapon beyond a Byakugan’s reach through the use of certain Rituals that Zuruel himself used.

“This will be tricky. However, leave it to my eyes. I’ll be able to spot his facial structure, even if he is wearing a disguise.” Zuruel went as far as to point at the odd pale hue of his iris before flaring his nostrils. “That’s useful knowledge. I have a keen sense of smell, so leave that to me.” He then pulled two slender fingers up towards his ears. “My hearing is sharp too. If he mutters anything or I hear a increase in heartbeat for whatever reason, it’ll draw my attention towards that individual. After then, it’s just a simple matter of using sight and smell.” Zuruel was used to hunting down individuals with no real knowledge about them. It was for that exact reason, that he learned how to train these three senses of his to their utmost maximum.

After a short trip, the duo at last reached Aramis. “Well, we should look for somewhere to stay. Shall we go for something… Comfortable?” There was every opportunity that the target was already nearby. To avoid giving anything away, Zuruel vaguely implied that the search should begin with places of accommodation. The advantage here was that the group knew roughly when the target would have fled to Aramis. This would be a simple matter of talking to management and agencies to track down any individuals that would have signed into a hotel suite or rented out a relatively fancy apartment during that key time period. In the meantime, the former Kedoin’s senses were alert. Able to take in all the sounds around him within a 70m radius, Zuruel carefully filtered through the idle chatter of civilians to keep track of anything noteworthy, such as the mention of newcomer in the city causing any trouble, while his sense of smell tracked the whiff of the perfume the captain mentioned earlier.

This takes 30 minutes to create. This creates 1 thumb-vial of "Military Rations Pill". Military Rations Pills are special pills that replenish one's chakra and nourish the body. The user gains 10 temporary Armour Points per crafter's alchemy mastery. User also restores 1/3rd of their chakra (honor based) for 24 hours. For 24 hours (or until chakra is used, whichever is quicker), the user will be able to ignore starvation and thirst and gain +4 Alchemical bonus to saves against sleep, and fatigue. If the character becomes fatigued, the penalties still apply normally, but the user can run nor do they do not become exhausted. User also gain a +4 alchemical bonus to Toughness and a Damage Reduction 1/— per alchemy mastery). User can no longer feel Pain effects. Pain effects do not affect the target until the duration of the effects. This does not negate any physical damage, ability damage, that a pain effect has already done, but it does negate ongoing penalties from pain while the effects last. When an explosive tag is detonated remotely, a user tends to use the "Snake" handseal (Uses "E" Rank Chakra and Jutsu Handeals to perform).
